Aaaaand just one more, I think...

Character:

Name: Kastir
Species: Botar's species
Gender: Female
Powers: Natural teleportation powers, physical strength. The teleportation powers, of course, will be limited: while they technically have no range limit, they take a lot out of her to use, and she can't safely make more than one such jump per (in-character) day. Additionally, she can't bring anything along with her that's larger than she can hold in her hands.
Gear: Great Kanohi Akaku; while she carries on her person at all times, she usually wears it pushed up onto her forehead like a pair of goggles, and only lowering it into place when she's tracking someone. She doesn't carry a melee weapon, relying instead on her fists and her considerable physical strength alone in close-quarters brawls; but she does wield a zamor launcher for ranged combat. The spheres she carries are filled with a paralysing agent, which renders an average target unable to move for several seconds.
Personal Aircraft: Huntress' Pride
Allegiance/Role: Cliffside; bounty hunter
Appearance: Like most of her species, Kastir is a menacing giant with a mouthful of sharp teeth. Her moderately-scarred armour is black and purple; and, as mentioned, she typically wears a Kanohi Akaku pushed up onto her forehead.
Personality: When on a hunt, Kastir is absolutely vicious; you do NOT want to tangle with her or get in the way of her objective, or she will make you regret it... if you're alive to regret anything when she's through with you. This seems, however, to be a mindset that she can switch on and off at will - because when she's not in 'hunter' mode, she is actually surprisingly civil and upbeat company. Unusual as it is for one in her line of work, she has actually been known to stand up for the small and the weak of the world when she's not on a job... although close proximity to those massive teeth make it an unnerving experience to be the object of her attention, whether that attention be good or bad.
Bio: Since the Great Spirit Robot's crash on Bara Magna, Kastir has broken away from the rest of her species, becoming something of an outcast as she pursues her own agenda. With the Dark Hunters no longer the cohesive unit they had once been, Kastir quickly established herself as a bounty hunter in her own right; and, while she got very little work at first, the various groups involved in setting up their own lives on the new world quickly found they needed to inconspicuously remove members of the opposing factions. Kastir proved herself very good at what she did, if not exactly subtle; after a time, however, she seemed to drop off the map entirely, vanishing into the vastness of the desert.
Recently, she has returned to known territory. Tight-lipped about where she's been, with only fresh scars to her armour to show for it, Kastir is finding that life here has progressed somewhat since she left... however, she quickly established her own little niche in the Cliffside settlement, taking whatever contracts will inevitably come her way.

Aircraft:

Name: Huntress' Pride
Model: Axalara
Weaponry: Twin skyblasters; meanwhile, the bomb bay has been repurposed to drop a stun netting, aiding her in clean and efficient capture of a target.
Customisation: 1) The armour plating has been reinforced. 2) Additional engine power, to counteract the drag caused by the added weight of her larger-than-average form. The added power does, however, sacrifice considerable manoeuvrability.
Appearance: Painted to mirror her armour, the craft is mostly a deep purple - making it hard to pick out against the night sky - with silver highlights along the top edges of the bodywork.

Hope the teleportation's not too overpowered? According to BS01 it's a natural ability that the whole species shares, or I would have left it off entirely. As it is, I've tried to limit it reasonably, and I have no intention of using it to unfair advantage... but if you still want me to tone it down further, I will do so ^^

CHARACTER

NAME: Vrokdann

SPECIES: Skakdi of Iron

GENDER: Female

POWERS: Limited control over iron (w/another Skakdi). Laser Vision, which she frequently uses for precision cutting. An enhanced sense of balance, meaning she isn’t particularly prone to tripping, falling or getting dizzy.

GEAR: A dual-action weapon she took on her way out. One side blows open a neat square hole in most surfaces, large enough for her to squeeze into. It includes a knob to adjust the deepness. The other end looks like a saw, but shoots a slew of sharp iron needles. On the other arm she carries a set of claws, which can slash through Protosteel when properly sharpened. Some of the “armor” (scrap) on her back could probably make another weapon if she knew how.

PERSONAL AIRCRAFT: The Stolara, a stolen Axalara.

ALLEGIANCE/ROLE: Each and every aspect of Vrokdann appears to yell “CLIFFSIDE!”, but nope. She may be angry, forgetful and lacking in purpose, but Vrokdann isn’t foolish. She’s stable enough in New Atero, civil unrest notwithstanding. Vrokdann doesn’t really sit down and think about her purpose, and she doesn’t need a lot of resources. In other words, she’s up for anything. Especially if it allows her to blow things up.

APPEARANCE:

Vrokdann

Bulky, of gunmetal and burnt orange coloration with some artificial copper accents. Her spine has decorative rings across it, and accommodates a modest collection of “armor” (scrap). She possesses two additional mechanic arms on her, product of an experiment (presumably by “Drendakk”), although a critical lack of following with it renders them mostly inoffensive. She’s usually seen with at least one weapon on her hands.

PERSONALITY: Having a conversation with Vrokdann is like crossing a wooden bridge over a canyon. You can make it through, as long as you get over the relentless sense of danger that every new word, both yours and hers, brings to the table. For Vrokdann’s patience is brittle, and the wrong word will bring her whole rage crashing over the entire building. Fortunately for the common citizen, there's little reason to talk to her beyond usual formalities, which she can manage well enough. Vrokdann tends to care too little about things, and she enjoys destruction as much as the next Skakdi. The only thing keeping her from wrecking her ship is how vital it is for her existence right now (and how much she loves blowing things up with its bombs).

BIO: Vrokdann’s every action is constantly judged by an inner voice, which she unconsciously addresses as “Drendakk”. This name, if her memory is to be trusted (it's not), belonged to a colleague of hers back on Zakaz. This other Skakdi would have been a frequent partner for power activation, resulting in a relatively positive relationship between them (for Skakdi standards, at least). If all this is true, then it’s almost certain they didn't make it out. All that remains of them is a voice in Vrokdann’s head. It serves both as a moral guide and a fascinating reminder of just how messed up the average Skakdi’s mind is.

AIRCRAFT

NAME: Vrokdann stole this ship. She doesn’t know its name and doesn’t care about giving it one, but she officialy refers to it as the Stolara (as in Stolen Axalara), truly a landmark achievement of her imagination.

MODEL: Axalara.

WEAPONRY: Dual Midak Skyblasters, loaded with highly corrosive spheres.

CUSTOMISATION: A Kanohi Sanok is visibly attached to the ship’s front, conceding its pilot near-perfect aim of its weapons for a brief amount of time. The seating area features an added set of harnesses to keep the pilot in place, which deploy automatically when said pilot is detected. Unfortunately the detection system is faulty, and most of the time they may not deploy at all. Vrokdann doesn’t know how to fix it.

APPEARANCE: The Stolara’s plating is more silver than usual, with garish lime green stripes across. It appears to have some symbols engraved by the controls. The landing gear is blunt at its tips, and the whole thing looks quite used. Beyond that, a fairly normal Axalara.

[...and that's it. I just wanted something simple to start, and to give my MOC a backstory in the process. It's probably a bit too dull...]

We haven't really seen a character that explores the mental issues that Skakdi are said to suffer from in canon. That's an interesting angle, and I'm curious to see how that plays out in-game. Vrokdann & the Stolara are Approved

Character:

Name: Ikilwa

Species: Skrall

Gender: Male

Powers: Greater strength and agility than average Skrall and Glatorian, due to being one of the "special forces"/elite warrior class of Skrall.

Gear: Heavy armour (spikes long since ground off), simple thornax launcher, Skrall saw-blade shield, basic longsword. Hidden within his craft he has also stowed away his old thorned club as a backup weapon.

Personal Aircraft: The Baterra

Allegiance/Role: Unaligned

Appearance: Other than having ground the spikes off his armour many years ago, Ikilwa looks nearly the same as any other of the elite warrior Skrall. Stocky and muscular, with a body crossed by a patchwork of scars; thanks to the events of other Skrall in years past, he is generally considered a somewhat fearsome sight.

Personality: Ikilwa is extremely quiet and reticent in general, communicating with others mostly in the form of gestures and grunts. While this plays into his general character fairly well, he is still quiet with those he considers friends. This is due also to the fact that he has a very noticeable Rock Tribe accent trying to speak either Matoran or Agori; in his mind, the accent makes him sound dull and untrustworthy, and being very stubborn and prideful, he prefers to be silent rather than sound unintelligent or deceitful. One of the few exceptions is when he's so profoundly annoyed with a person that he just doesn't care what he sounds like around them, in which case he's far more likely to speak than normal.

Combined with his stubbornness and pride, Ikilwa has a highly developed opinion on what he considers honourable conduct. A veteran of the Core War for the Rock Tribe, he earned his name during that time; however, his name was later stricken from Skrall records. During the time after the Shattering, Ikilwa felt that the Skrall were conducting themselves dishonourably, and he chose to abandon them and strike out on his own rather than sully himself by continuing to associate with them. As such, he generally gets along with Agori and their allies better than with other Skrall...though given how poorly he gets along with both groups, that isn't saying much.

Bio: A former member of the Rock Tribe and a veteran of the Core War, Ikilwa was a member of the Skrall special forces, and earned his name through the many daring raids he undertook on behalf of the tribe or their sometimes-allies. More individualistic than other Skrall were, he quickly began to develop his own opinions that differed from those of the leader class; this led to strain when the main part of the tribe was ready to leave the female Skrall behind on their migration south, an action that Ikilwa felt was extremely dishonourable, despite the strained relations the two genders of the species had with each other. Begrudgingly, however, he followed Tuma's commands, heading to Roxtus with the others.

However, what occurred afterwards—enslaving Agori and Glatorian, mistreating the Vorox and Zesk, and the plans for the conquest of the other tribes—were too much for Ikilwa to stand. He left the tribe, making his way to the others out in Bara Magna. While never hired on as a Glatorian, he did eventually manage to find work as a mercenary, generally being hired to guard caravans. During this time, he ground the spikes off of his armour, finding them detrimental in combat and not intimidating enough to be worth keeping. For the most part, this work as a mercenary is what he still engages in, though due to how relations are between the Skrall and the other races on the planet, work can get hard to find.

Aircraft:

Name: The Baterra

Model: Rockoh

Weaponry: Blaster cannon, auto-tracking retractable Midak Skyblaster.

Customisation: Swivelling mount for the Midak Skyblaster, able to retract within the body of the craft, as well as a computerized tracking system that hooks into the "smart cockpit" function of the craft to enable it to track and engage enemies independent of the pilot's control.

Appearance: Other than a small coating of protective paint (barely more than grey primer), the craft looks no different than average, owing to it's pilot's utilitarian sensibilities.

Ikilwa looks good, my only objection is to the Cordak launcher. According to BS01, a single cordak rocket is powerful enough to 'reduce a boulder to dust', and the rapid-fire capabilities mean that it would pretty much be an instant kill against most player characters.

About time I submitted this gal. Maybe she can help a little...

Name: Kaenis

Species: Amphibax’s Species, Hordika

Gender: Female

Powers: Agility in land and water, amphibious. Her mutation has given her a back-mounted Rhotuka spinner with the power of Tracing. This Rhotuka hones in on a person or object in Kaenis’ mind and moves toward it rapidly, leaving a slight trail until it collides with something, releasing a brilliant flash of light that also serves to disorient her target.

Gear: A set of throwing knives, as well as a long machete.

Personal Aircraft: Benevolence

Allegiance/Role: Wandering explorer

Appearance: Despite her mutation, Kaenis has changed very little from her lithe, lanky body with its shield-like reptilian face. She’s become more hunched and her finned tail lined with sharp barbs. Her legs are long, digitigrade, and powerful in their movements. Thorny, silver armor covers her scaled, orange skin.

Personality: Kaenis is enthusiastic and curious, yet mild-mannered. She’s very open, even to the strange new beings of Bara Magna. However, the Hordika’s feral rage can swell up at the slightest provocation, despite her efforts to keep it down. She hates that side of her, and fears for the day it might take over completely, but until then, she does her best to help those in need while searching out the wonders of this new world.

Bio: Kaenis’ small, paradisiacal island was never big enough to hold her boundless curiosity. She escaped the first chance she got, and wandered the Southern Isles ever since, becoming something of a guide for wandering vessels.

When at last, the metal walls of the GSR that had confined her for so long fell away, Kaenis couldn’t wait to explore the new world. Yet Spherus Magna was fraught with danger, both new and old, and in searching out the decaying monoliths of Bota Magna, she was ambushed, caught, and mutated by Visorak. Now, she tries to continue her service while holding the Hordika at bay.

Personal Aircraft:

Name: Benevolence

Model: Rockoh

Weaponry: A single Force Blaster mounted in the front, as well as a Rhotuka tucked away in a side panel that channels the power of the user, giving it the same power of Tracing while Kaenis pilots it.

Customization: The bottom of the Benevolence is equipped with pontoons for water landings, and the sides feature deployable wings to extend its gliding time (slightly) when extended.

Appearance: Kaenis’ craft is small, as far as Rockoh go, as she doesn’t weigh much anyway. It's painted in the usual dark green, though the paint is scuffed and scratched from her adventures and she has better things to do than care for it.

Hope you're enjoying the game so far, folks. Here's some profiles for Cliffside NPCs.

________________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Blackbristle.
Species: Vo-skakdi.
Gender: Male.
Powers: Elemental power of electricity, impact vision.
Gear: Like all good pirates, he wields a cutlass, although his is overly resplendent and decked out with all manner of gemstones and the like. He also carries a device that allows him to channel his elemental powers, but no one is entirely sure where said device is hidden.
Personal Aircraft: the King Irnakk’s Revenge.
Allegiance/Role: the unofficial ‘governor’ of Cliffside.
Appearance: Largely a pale white in colour, with icy blue eyes, Blackbristle is clad almost entirely in black, over which he wears a dull blue sailor’s coat. As if that wasn’t enough, he also wears enough bling to make a professional rapper jealous. Dozens of rings, chains, medals, and more adorn his body and clothing, each one a memento from a different score. His moniker was chosen in reference to a cluster of short, almost beard-like spines that are clustered on his chin.
Personality: For a bloodthirsty pirate, his demeanour is surprisingly boisterous and outgoing. He knows much of Cliffside’s populace on a first-name basis, and has been known to spend his hard-earned loot on constructing housing and shelters for the settlement’s less fortunate.
Bio: Blackbristle has been a blight on the Great Barren since before Cliffside even came to be. He was one of the founding fathers of the settlement, and is wholly devoted to the defence of Cliffside and its inhabitants. While he frequently targets shipments travelling to and from New Atero, he leaves Tesara completely untouched, a policy that has left some wondering if he has some kind of trade affiliation or familial connection with the settlement.

Name: The King Irnakk’s Revenge.
Model: Airship.
Weaponry: The vessel is equipped with ten ballistae (three on each side, two at the back, two facing forwards), each of which utilises scaled-down Devestators as ammunition.
Appearance: Outwardly, this airship is fairly standard, with its upper hull coloured white, and its lower sections toned black. Inside, however, it has a more rustic feel. Much of the interior is lavishly polished wood, designed to mimic the interior layout of a seaborne ship.

________________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Silvana.
Species: Vortixx.
Gender: female.
Powers: none.
Gear: Kanohi Mask of Psychometry, collapsible stave for melee combat.
Personal Aircraft: The Whisper.
Allegiance/Role: She works as a thief, bounty hunter, and in general, a finder of things. While generally affiliated with Cliffside, she is known to take on odd jobs for other settlements.
Appearance: Her guise is unremarkably standard for a Vortixx. Her armour is the usual metallic black, her height and build is utterly average, and she has no unusual or noteworthy physical characteristics whatsoever. This is, in truth, what makes her so effective at her job.
Personality: Silvana has adopted so many disguises and aliases over the years that even she has lost sight of who she used to be. Now, she simply acts and reacts in whatever way she deems necessary to accomplish whatever goal she has been charged with.
Bio: Having come into being after the reformation of Spherus Magna, she lacks the wistful memories of the comparative paradise that was the fallen Matoran Universe. The wastelands of the Great Barren are all she has known, and it shows. Over the years, she somehow managed to get her hands on a Mask of Psychometry, which she uses to aid her in her work. With Kanohi in general being difficult to procure, a rarer piece like hers proved invaluable, and made her services highly prized.

Name: The Whisper.
Model: Jetrax.
Weaponry: Three custom-built Hagah Plasma cannons. Their charge capacity has been increased, meaning that while they take longer to charge up, their destructive potential has also escalated accordingly.
Customisation: Thanks to the work of a talented team of Fe engineers, the Whisper truly lives up to its name, as its engines make almost no sound whatsoever. It also has a Kanohi Arthon integrated into it, providing constant sonar support to aid in navigation in low-light environments, and prevent other vessels from sneaking up on the Whisper.
Appearance: The ship’s profile and plating have been altered to give a more sleek, streamlined appearance, and the entire thing has been painted an earthy blue-black, helping it to blend in with the sky during night operations.

wasn't around for the first one, still its seems interesting so i might as well and throw these out there. hope they're fitting.

Character:

Name: Zeiral
Species: Bota Magna Zesk
Gender: Male
Powers: Natural armored carapace and keen senses
Gear: Staff length hammer with light crystal embedded into the head, Traditional Zesk helmet modified with metal mandibles.
Personal Aircraft: The Scarab
Allegiance/Role: Roaming scavenger
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/DW3K1Iv.jpg
Personality: Generally quiet, reserved & observant.
Bio: After the failed restoration of the planet many struggled to find their way in the foreign wasteland their home had became, Zeiral was not special in this regard. He recalled when the forests of Bota Magna were new & now he had been forced to watch them wither away to nothing. With his kin scattered to the desert winds & his Bara Magna cousins reduced to simple beasts he began to roam in search of purpose. Life was hard, he lost many things dear to him. His home, his tribe, his tail, all stolen by the cruel sands. After nearly meeting his end while passing near a particularly large settlement he finally found opportunity. The Destruction of Fe was a terrible time for many, but a grand day for some select few. The scavengers who were willing to risk the rubble and ruin after the battle found great reward among the ashes. This was a time of innovation for New Atero's flying machines and every scavenger knew if they found something worth while to them that it would be a major payday. Zeiral's close proximity to the battle became an advantage in disguise. Within a few months of particularly hard & dangerous work he had a new source of income and transportation, the first thing in quite a long time he could call his own, his "Scarab".

Aircraft:

Name: The Scarab
Model: Skyfighter
Weaponry: Impact Crystal launcher (folded into side compartment when not in use)
Customization: Kanohi Hau integration, can protect against attacks when activated in time. Won't protect against sneak attacks. Mechanism needs time to recharge after stopping especially strong attacks
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/0Fjq3GN.png

Character:

Name: Lowawk
Species: Le-Matoran (Hordika)
Gender: Male
Powers: Heightened Instinct & Senses
Gear: Small Sword, Backpack & Length of Corded Rope.
Personal Aircraft: The Shield
Allegiance/Role: Roaming scavenger
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/YfQmElx.jpg
Personality: Very talkative and strangely light-hearted given his surroundings, not quite to the point of annoyance though. Doesn't often talk about his past.
Bio: Life following the fall of the Matoran universe was a hard time for all, even though a young Lowawk didn't like to admit it. Thanks to the hard work of those around him he had found himself with the position of farming apprentice in a decent sized settlement a decent journey east of Tesara. The work was hard but rewarding and soon, against all odds, the field flourished. For a time all was peaceful, at least as peaceful as it could be. In times of particular strife he found solace in the fields he worked so hard to maintain, looking up at the vast night sky. On one such night he heard the voice of a friend calling out to him, but not from towards the settlement, the calls came from farther out in the fields. It struck him odd, but odd was the law of the land. He sought out the source of the calls only to find himself in the presence of a very menacing looking Oohnorak, one Rhotuka was all it took to render him unable to move. The venom's work was quick and he thought it was the end for him. Suddenly a commotion from his village caught the beast's attention and it slinked towards the outer walls, Five other Visorak in tow. The next thing he knew was the light of morning, he wandered back into the remains of his home. The battered carapaces of Four Visorak were strewn around the central courtyard, another had been crushed when the heavy storehouse gate had been dropped onto it. Finally when surveying the remains of the village head's chamber he found the final Visorak. The Oohnorak. Impaled on the spear of the chief. Both of them dead from their injuries. Nothing remained of his home except empty walls and crops no one would harvest. Lowawk gathered his belongings and made his way out into the wastes, heading northeast towards the mountains of Fe. Little did he know that by his arrival Fe would be nothing but a crater full of strangers picking up the pieces. The work was hard and the pulling of the beast on the fringes of his mind was strong at times, but just as he had before he found solace in the vast, untouched, unchanged night sky. Finally his work payed off. He and the only friend he had made since arriving at the crater, an old Zesk, stumbled across a pristine bit of stabilization technology that New Atero had been quite vocal about their need of. They stowed their find from nefarious eyes and made haste to the remaining New Atero forces in the area. Their treasure netted them a great deal of widgets between them. Both originally intended to go their separate ways, but their similar taste in purchases sealed their bond. Where one would go, the other would follow. Zeiral on his Scarab & Lowawk on his Shield.

Aircraft:

Name: The Shield
Model: Skyfighter
Weaponry: Underside mounted Impact Crystal Launcher on rotating mount
Customisation: The Shield has been modified with a widened front section, it contains a high amount of cargo space for a Skyfighter with room for spare equipment, extra rations & fuel.
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/el5qjET.png

Hey, uh, Laval? I made a bit of a typo in my last post. Garuda isn't in the Marketplace, she's actually down below Tesara. I edited that for future reference, but if you could edit your post as well that'd be appreciated.

Also, I MOC'd up Kaenis earlier if anyone was interested in getting a better picture of her. Gonna go ahead and add it to her profile.

I'm a little torn about these two. Individually, they seemed alright, but once I got to their shared backstory they started to read like fightbots, by which I mean they seem explicitly designed to exclusively work together. They have matching aircraft and firepower (skyfighters with impact crystal launchers), their personalities and fighting styles compliment each other extremely well (one's big, reserved, and strong, the other's small, talkative, and fast), and so on.

It's an easy trap to fall into (I myself have done similarly on more than one occasion in my early years of RPing), but ultimately it's often not as much fun for other characters trying to interact with you, and can be pretty unfulfilling for the players involved as well. Eg. if someone wants to chat with one of these two, they'll be forced to deal with both of them. If a battle breaks out, the other person will be stuck fighting two characters controlled by the same player.

I'd very much prefer to see these two characters fleshed out as individuals, and given their own distinct personalities and backstories, rather than a shared history with them being engineered to be fully dependent on one-another.

Understandable, guess I hadn't thought about it like that. Back to the drawing board I suppose.

Sorry. I will go and fix that now.

Well, after some thinking on how to make this work I've decided to drop Lowawk & The Shield for simplicity's sake. Probably going to stay that way until I feel confident enough to re-write his backstory. In the Mean time I've Written Zeiral to have a more individual background and The Scarab now looks more like its own namesake, rather than a partner for the Shield. So take two, bear with me.
Character:

Name: Zeiral
Species: Bota Magna Zesk
Gender: Male
Powers: Natural armored carapace and keen senses
Gear: Staff length hammer with light crystal embedded into the head, Traditional Zesk helmet modified with metal mandibles.
Personal Aircraft: The Scarab
Allegiance/Role: Roaming scavenger, Novice pilot & part-time mechanic
Zeiral's life became nothing more than going through the motions. Stop here for a bit, scavenge what he could, sell it over there. Over time this cycle encompassed one big loop around the wastes and Zeiral was nothing if not consistent. He memorized the time it took to travel, the best spots to look for scraps, safest times to move, even the best spots to hide in between salvage runs. It was Zeiral's fourth time making the circuit on foot, he was a few days behind schedule due to one of his normal spots being picked bare. He came up to one of his normal dwellings as the sun rose, a sand cave hidden away out of the normal path the travelers took. Immediately he noticed something odd, there were spots of rough glass sunken into the sand around the mouth of the cave. whatever had caused the sand to melt had been since his last time through the area, it had been worn down by the constant winds. At the back wall of the cave Zeiral found his answer. A beat up skyfighter lay there, smashed into the rocky side of the cave. It's pilot, a small matoran, lay dead beside it. He had been there for some time by the look of things. He took only what he deemed allowable from the corpse, then buried it out of the way. "It would've been a shame to let him lie there any longer" He though to himself. He then turned and took inventory of the craft. It's cargo was scarce and the nose was completely ruined. The engines seemed functional but whatever had hit the vehicle had ruptured the fuel tank and destroyed the personal teleporter in an instant. In that moment Zeiral was reminded once again of the fragility of life, he could either waste away in the sands or pull himself together and rise above. The next few months were hard, he had found what he could in the area to fix the craft and bartered for what he couldn't. It had cost him a small fortune and many sleepless nights of extra work to make up the difference. To him it didn't matter, he was leaving the cave on that skyfighter or not at all. By halfway through the third month he had pulled the craft from the rubble of the wall & rebuilt the nose. He had taken the deserts bounty for himself and now was ready. He packed his things, dragged it to the mouth of the cave and fired it up. With that low rumble of the engines he had found his place again and flew off into the night, no longer bound to the sands.

Aircraft:

Name: The Scarab
Model: Skyfighter
Weaponry: Impact Crystal launcher (folded into side compartment when not in use)
Customization: Kanohi Hau integration, can protect against attacks when activated in time. Won't protect against sneak attacks. Mechanism needs time to recharge after stopping especially strong attacks. Installed to prevent a similar fate to that of the previous pilot.

Would it be permissible for the device Akkitu uses to open the Sight's cockpit (the "keys") to have a screen that displays live feed from the Sight's camera systems?

Hm, I think I'm going to have to say no to that. I was okay with a camera being connected directly to the cockpit screen, since a similar kind of technology existed on Metru Nui (those big screens Turaga Dume used for announcements), but wireless transmission would be a bit beyond the tech level of this game, especially for small handheld devices.

Ayyyyyyyy I finally got around to fixing up two of my profiles

They're both buff as heck. Call it wish fulfilment; I wish I was strong :c

~

Name: Armani

Species: Skrall, Leader Class (genetic abnormality resulting in expression of Leader genes)

Gender: she/her

Powers:

- Very strong, ridiculously ripped

- Hardy, high stamina and endurance

- Possibly technically able to give official names to Skrall, depending on which Skrall you ask

- Extensive training and experience in battle and military, as well as study in pretty much everything one would need to run a thriving society

- Skilled tactician and quite intelligent

- Impressive flexing

- Charisma potent enough to be felt as a physical presence encouraging you to achieve your dreams

Gear:

- Thick, heavy armour, though she’s used to it

- Sword of Skrall design, can be kept in a scabbard on her belt

- Shield with New Atero emblem on the front, can be kept strapped to the arm or hooked on her back

- Firework revolver, can be kept on a holster on her belt

Personal Aircraft: THESE Guns

Allegiance/Role: New Atero, Major-General in the New Atero military

Appearance: She’s very tall and muscled. Ignore everything I said about her height last game, she is now taller than Tuma. She cannot be stopped.

Personality: Armani is a natural born leader, and always has time to listen to the concerns of the people and her friends. She is incredibly proud of herself, especially her muscles, which are a sight to behold. She is awfully chipper for someone in a post-apocalyptic landscape, probably owing to backwards elements of Skrall society finally being overthrown.

Bio: Armani was born with a genetic condition that caused her to express male Skrall Leader Class genes, despite being a girl. This meant she had lost any ability to use psionic abilities, but gained size, strength, and significant muscle mass. She found comfort with the other Sisters of the Skrall, as though they were not entirely sure what to do with her, she was welcome with them.

As she got older, she managed to acquire some armour roughly her size and sneak out to train in physical combat with the men, as she liked to fight and was quite good at it. On one of these occasions, she and the other trainees were rushed from the city as the Baterra swept through their homes along with bright, all-consuming flame. She joined in the mass migration to the Wastelands of Bara Magna, and later learned that the rest of the women had been left to die to the Baterra.

At first, she blamed the other Skrall for going along with such an absurd, monstrous plan. But, there was nowhere for her to escape to from them; a Skrall would not be welcome among the Glatorian, and the Wastes were certain death. She felt she had to continue the charade. Over time, she realised that it was not the fault of the entire population that fled the city; they were following orders. She instead shifted that resentment to Tuma, for ordering that horrid act. When she learned the Sisters of the Skrall were, in fact, alive, she was overjoyed. She promptly took the excuse of going on a Baterra hunt to seek them. They thought her allied with the very men who left them to die, and turned her away in shame. She returned to Roxtus, hurt beyond what she thought possible.

She followed along with the Skrall for years after that, silently planning to overthrow Tuma and studying to take over his position, until Tuma’s defeat at the hands of Mata Nui. She fled with the other Skrall in that embarrassing defeat, but decided to journey into the mountains to attempt reconciliation with the Sisters. She found them, powerless and angry and confused in the wake of something that turned the world on its head for everything they believed. She stayed with them, and when the planet started becoming unstable, she and the others headed into the villages.

From there, she joined the New Atero military. She was surprised and delighted that being a large and muscular female Skrall no longer mattered- in the wake of the world messing up, old feuds and hatred had to be buried. Some male Skrall show varying amounts of discomfort in her presence- she’s not quite a Leader Type, but is pretty darn close to one, so it’s debated how much standing she should have in that regard. She made her way up the ranks in the military and now serves high up as a Major-General, defending her new home to the very best of her ability.

~

Aircraft:

Name: THESE Guns

Model: Rockoh

Weaponry: One Hagah Plasma Cannon aimed towards the front and one aimed towards the back, nestled in the armour plates to prevent damage when ramming other ships.

Customisation: Extra armour plating to better its function as a battering ram and to protect the pilot. Apparently it was so armoured last game that it took up two slots. Amazing.

Appearance: The ship is black with red highlights, and has the symbol for New Atero stencilled onto its sides. It looks a little like a giant metal fist.

Name: Matilda (yeah it’s not to the Latin naming scheme Bara Magna has but it means ‘Strength in Battle’ which is a very Malum thing to name a child)

Species: Glatorian, with a dash of Bota Magna Vorox tossed in

Gender: She/Her

Powers:

- Matilda has incredible strength, well beyond that of a normal Glatorian.

- She has a good many voice-based abilities, like decent mimicry, singing, and throwing her voice.

- She’s inherited her father’s liability for hallucinations and breaks from reality. She’s currently medicated for it, in the form of tablets she needs to take.

- She has the buffest tail to match the rest of her buff physique.

Gear:

- Giant claws with attachments for swords, Thornax launchers, etc. She can attach these, they don’t just pop out of the things a la Inspector Gadget

- Machete knife hidden in holster in boot

- Firework gun in holster in other boot. She has deadly boots

- Bandanna (worn around neck, hides a secret)

- Spare bandannas

- A whole gosh darn bandanna collection

- Sizeable backpack for sizeable meals

- Medication

- Clothes, hopefully

- Glatorian armour

Personal Aircraft: Trash of the Desert, though Ehksidian some individuals refer to it as “Daddy Issues”, much to Matilda’s chagrin.

Allegiance/Role: Currently works as a ranger/guard/courier, largely on Tesara but prone to travel due to her job.

Appearance: Physically large and muscular, Matilda is tall even for a Glatorian and has piercing pink-red eyes, along with orange skin. Her hair is a curly mess of black locks; she regretfully cuts it short to reduce upkeep on it, the world being as it is. Her armour bears some resemblance to her father’s. When not working, she wears shirts that show off her massive biceps and big, fearsome-looking boots with shorts or trousers, depending on the weather. She always wears a bandanna around her neck because she’s just cool like that, and will resist any efforts to remove it. She does have a Vorox tail, but she often hides it in her clothes or armour. It’s not exactly a close-guarded secret, to be clear, but it saves her a lot of sideways glances and snide comments.

Personality: Matilda, like Malum, has a very short fuse and a very hot temper. Also like her father, she is loudly prideful of her abilities and herself. She has a lot of questions about what happened to her father and she hopes something up in civilisation can help her answer this question one day. She has a lot of passion in her and will dedicate herself fully to a cause she believes in. She is loyal to her father’s tribe and to anyone who earns her trust, as well as her unofficially adopted sister, Garuda.

Bio:

Matilda, the daughter of the exile Malum and an unknown Bota Magna Vorox, lived much of her life on the surface of Bara Magna with her father, navigating the difficult terrain with their tribe of Vorox and Zesk. One day, while she was out investigating some strange tracks, she returned to their tribe to find Malum had gone missing. She took the mantle as chieftain for a while, waiting for his return and searching for him, but eventually gave up her title to seek answers in civilised society. She travelled to Tesara to begin her search, but still keeps close ties with her tribe.

She currently works as a ranger, carrying important messages or guarding cargo. With her experience in the Wastes, she is also an experienced guide for the planet’s surface, taking eccentric archaeologists and overexcited explorers and guarding them from the perils of the sands.

She performs songs on occasion, if an opportunity arises, but doesn’t do so in any official or career-wise extent.

~

Name: Trash of the Desert (I went on BS01 and found random parts of out of context Malum quotes until I found a good vehicle name)

Model: Axalara

Weaponry: Two Hagah Plasma Cannons, able to be aimed, one facing front and one facing back to give full coverage.

Customisation: The bomb bay has been modified to act instead as a very small cargo bay. It is big enough for some larger packages, or even a Zesk in a sleeping bag. It has a teleportation device attached to it, and so if the ship is destroyed, both the pilot and a large, internally cushioned metal box that serves as a “shell” for the goods being transported are flung out. The box is key for the teleportation, and so if Matilda wanted to rig it back into a bomb bay, the contents would not be able to teleport upon the ship’s destruction.

Appearance: The ship is sandy tan, with crimson decals on the underside/lower half. This helps to camouflage it against the dunes. The tan part, that is. The crimson decals don’t help with that, but are positioned to not be seen from above.

Name: Voyin

Species: Iron Glatorian

Gender: Female

Abilities/Powers: Slight resistance to snow and cold due to upbringing in the White Quartz Mountains. She can communicate almost perfectly with Vorox, whilst also having limited communication in Agori.

Gear: Voyin's trademark Dane axe has been upgraded substantially. The quite delicate stone blade has been replaced with a metal protodermis one, the carvings on the blade transferred on demand to the harder blade. This means it is less likely to break, and also shows her status as leader of her tribe. The base of the Dane axe has a sharp spike made of bone, used for jabbing and decoration. She also has a smaller knife of bone, and her throwing axes have been replaced by metal tomahawks, by Matilda's recommendation.

Personal Aircraft: Flight

Allegiance/Role: Chieftain of the Mountain Vorox, and their representative in Tesara for negotiating a trade deal.

Appearance: Tall and muscular, with the regular blue and grey colors of the Iron tribe. Her eyes are a deep piercing ice blue. She has taken to wearing, whilst in Tesara, more casual clothes remincent of Matilda's casual wear (barring her trademark bandana, of course) as well as a pincered helmet like that of regular Vorox, but the pincers are further back, similar to the classic image of a Viking helmet. It is bone white. When in Tesara she still wears this. Her hair is commonly tied back, when her helmet is off. She also has multiple straps on her armour where she keeps her throwing axes and her bone knife, often only carrying her Dane axe when she requires it.

Personality: Whilst Voyin has learned quite a lot, she also has a lot to learn. Her Matoran/Agori has improved substantially, but has come to realize her strange accent and way of speaking, so she often keeps her sentences brief and tends to still speak in her native tongue to Matilda and Garuda when possible. She's also, whilst still fiercely dominant, mellowed out a little bit, and tends to enjoy joyrides in her ship every now and again.

Bio: An "unexpected" child from 2 Iron Tribe members, Voyin was abandoned in the White Quartz mountains by the shameful mother. Little did the parents know that a small offshoot of the Sand Tribe had been living in the mountains for years, surviving on the Mountain animals and ambushing travellers. Voyin was very nearly killed by them when she was discovered, but a slightly more motherly Vorox took her in, spitting on her and marking her as one of the tribe. The Vorox protected her as she grew, and raised her as one of her own. She in turn, learned how to fight, and found herself fighting off some of the other Vorox believing her to be an outsider. She began to take part in raids on travellers in the mountains, earning her place in the pack, and eventually became one of them. During one of these raids, she managed to successfully steal a Jetrax from a dead Agori, gaining power and renown for being the first to successfully scavenge one. A while after, the chieftain of the pack died, leaving the Vorox to fight for his place. Voyin defeated all of them, and became the new chieftain.

After this, Voyin began gradual negotiations, with great difficulty into a trade deal with Tesara. This was caused by the lack of travellers coming up to the mountains to raid for supplies, and the fact that the Vorox were gradually civilizing anyway, and were beginning to become curious of the lands far from them.

During this time, Voyin met Matilda and Garuda, and slowly began to befriend them due to their knowledge of her common tongue and similar backgrounds. They were crucial in helping Voyin understand their culture. Within time, Voyin began to begin the process of finding a suitable deal that would benefit Tesara and her tribe. She hopes to complete this process soon, but in the mean time she was able to complete a few petty jobs in exchange for supplies to send back to her tribe.

Name: Flight

Model: Jetrax

Weaponry: In terms of weaponry, it has a single harpoon gun mounted on top, along with chain attached to it. This acts as a tow, stopping enemy ships from escaping. It has a rotating disc launcher filled with metal razor sharp discs, similar to that of the Kanoka. She hasn't yet added another weapon, as she rarely uses the ship for combat.

Customisation: Voyin has added a few extra spikes on the front, though the original bone spikes have been exchanged with remains of metal weapons and scrap.  She uses this to ram enemy ships. As for additional customization, she simply hasn't had time yet to do so.

Appearance: The originally clean craft has been painted with red makeshift paint and adorned with animal bones and a Vorox helmet has been attached to the front. The vehicle seems to have originally been used as a mercenary ship, but Voyin has repurposed it as her personal ship.

Name: Keeper

Species: Guardian's species Hordika/mutated

Gender: Agender, They/Them

Abilities/Powers: increased strength and speed from mutations, compound eyes allow for a far wider field of view, including nearly directly behind Keeper. Able to cling to surfaces with claws on feet and hands. Body changed to be exoskeletal, providing increased natural 'armor'. Antennae enhance smell and also can detect vibrations in air. Rhotuka with Rending power, causes a target to violently tear itself apart. This has a markedly diminished effect on living creatures, in so much as a living target struck on the arm might have a small chunk tear itself away, but would not cause the entire limb to tear off. Keeper cannot control how the target will demolish itself.

Gear: Twin firework revolvers, modified. Each revolver holds 8 rounds, and the rounds 'scream' as they travel through the air. Two curved blade daggers cross each other on their lower back. One eccentric rock. One straw hat, with hopes spaced for the special head needs of it's wearer, adorned with various dangling trinkets, bits of metal or bone that caught the eye. One desert flower, replaced when wilted. Stored on hat.

Aircraft: None

Allegiance: Tesara citizen

Appearance: Keeper looks much like an enormous insect, with six clawed limbs, compound eyes, and antennae. Their limbs are covered in chitinous spikes and hairs. They have two smaller arms under their main arms, these smaller arms are markedly more insectoid than the main arms. A natural Rhotuka launcher sprouts awkwardly from their back. https://i.imgur.com/rhEZKuI.png

Personality: Keeper is markedly quiet and reserved, not speaking often as to not attract undue attention to themselves. While good-natured, they are not what most would consider to be 'kind'. They are pragmatic to a fault, and occasionally territorial, a result of their mutations. When committed to a task, they can be single minded. Has a habit of collecting small trinkets.

Bio: Once a guard on Xia, Keeper was well enough known for being nigh infallible when put to a task. Unfortunately, they failed to protect the secrets to a weapon prototype for a certain Vortixx, who punished them by Mutation Rhotuka, making them a bug like version of their previous self. During self imposed exile following this, they were caught and mutated further by Visorak. After managing a daring escape, they lived in relative peace until the MU was taken over by Makuta Teridax. In the takeover, they were killed in an earthquake, and was stuck aboard the Red Star for a time. Eventually it seems they managed to escape the malfunctioning station, though they have little memory of how they managed it, and much of their memories preceding their death is jumbled. Now on Spherus Magna, they do odd jobs, ranging from manual labor to full on Bounty hunting. They are technically a citizen of Tesara, but they do not live in the city itself. Instead they've made a burrow of sorts into the side of the cliff, accessible to only them and perhaps those with hover capable craft. They venture into the wastes to hunt or forage from what remains, preferring the straightforward dangers of the wasteland to the chaotic nature of city life. They have have learned the territories of the various creatures over time, but do still occasionally run into trouble.

To Nato the Traveler,

I am confused as to why these guards think Akkitu is guilty. If they arrest him, they may push him into actually doing harm.

Please respond soon,

Laval

It's fairly straightforward. The Sight bombed the marketplace during the battle. The guards found a vehicle illegally parked in an alleyway that matched the description of the one responsible for the bombing. They then waited for the owner to return.

Character:

Name: Hadraeka

Species: Brutaka's species

Gender: Female

Powers: Hadraeka possesses immense strength and power equal to that of three skakdi combined. She has the ability to emit a raw mixture of thermal and kinetic energy, either from her weapons or her hands, resulting in explosive blasts that can singe and hurl people away, or worse, kill them if prolonged at high enough intensity. She can also dissipate stasis fields. She has natural resistance to various mutagenic substances, though this is not equal to immunity to such substances.

Gear: Two long swords of fine quality along with a pair of daggers sheathed on her back which her smaller secondary arms can reach when necessary.

Personal Aircraft: The Black Rose

Allegiance/Role: Tesaran Guard

Appearance: As other members of her species, Hadraeka is of immense stature, towering over most other beings in the wasteland. Her body is athletically built, her physique well toned and ready for combat or long strenuous activity. Her armour is black with hints of teal in cloth accents in a few obvious places, bearing the symbol of the Tesaran Guard to identify her as a guard. She also wears a dark teal cloak that covers her right shoulder and her back, a cloak she can easily remove in case of a combat situation. She usually hides her second smaller pair of arms underneath it. She wears a black Kanohi Rode, though of a shape that better complements the rest of her armour. Bright teal eyes watch from behind its eye holes, a stern and ever watchful look to them.

Personality: Hadraeka has no self doubt, yet she is humble and respectful to those she meets, though dishonorable acts are a quick way to lose that respect. She takes her duties as a guard of Tesara very seriously, and does her utmost to uphold the peace and ensure the settlement's safety.

Only one thing may yet get in her way; despite her duty to uphold peace, she has a deeply ingrained longing for combat, a leftover from her time as a warrior of her old home. This is something she does her best to keep in check… though sometimes even the best is not enough.

Bio: Once a warrior of great renown, that glory has long since vanished with her homeland and the rest of the rest of the Matoran Universe. Now she has found a new calling, to protect the defenseless from those that would trample on them, a calling she answers through her work as a guard of Tesara.

Aircraft:

Name: The Black Rose.

Model: Axalara

Weaponry:

Two explosive sphere launchers that electrify vehicles and their pilots and dent or break armour plating upon impact.

Bomb bay is armed with a plethora of small stun explosives for crowd control, the effects of which include temporary blinding if viewed directly, disorientation, mild vertigo, and slowing of motor functions. These effects last for five minutes at most and gradually fade until then. These bombs can be dropped individually, a few at a time, or all at once.

Customisation: The ship has an in-built kanoka of illusion which can disguise the ship and pilot as a different ship and pilot, or as a cloud, a flying rahi, or once landed, a rock outcropping that blends in with the landscape, which can be used while the pilot is away from the ship to protect it from theft.

Its second customisation is its silent engine, which helps with its various illusory disguises.

Appearance: The ship has simple black plating that lacks any ostentatious detailing.

I'm still a bit iffy about Hadraeka, given how much of a powerhouse she is, but it's true to the species, and you've actually toned down some of the crazier parts of the powerset, so I'll tentatively give my Approval to Hadraeka & the Black Rose.

Name: Kathok Hann

Species: Skakdi

Gender: Male

Powers:

  • Crystal vision: sees clearly through heat haze; able to find people and objects on the ground far below with relative ease.

  • Elemental plasma in conjunction with another skakdi.

Gear:

  • Protosteel claws on hands and feet; spring-loaded and extensible to 18cm. Sharp enough to be used in a knife fight, or for climbing.

  • Rhotuka launcher: produces rhotuka hot enough to sear flesh.

  • Grappling hook launcher: can launch hooks that can punch through thin vehicle armour at short range, or more usually get lodged in some part of a vehicle’s frame at mid range. Has limited aiming capability, and only about 5 hooks.

Personal Aircraft: Redshift

Allegiance/Role: Freelancer, pirate, occasional sanctioned bounty hunter

Appearance: Lightly armoured with dust-encrusted scrap, Kathok is a lean, wiry skakdi with a spring in his step and a glittering grin. His natural armour is almost fluorescent red, shot through with streaks of scathing purple, blue, orange - sticking out like a poisonous frog - with narrow, turquoise eyes.

Personality: An arrogant, compulsive liar who takes pride in a well-told story, a well-written piece of wit, or a well-placed shot. Fancying himself as a philosopher, it’s never the wrong time to receive his life advice - despite being far too young to appear sage. Any code of conduct is thrown out when a chase is available, at which point he adopts an almost nihilistic self-abandon; he’s somewhat of an adrenaline junkie.

Bio: Drafted into the Zakazian War soon after his creation, it would not be long before Kathok witnessed an even more extensive cataclysm: the destruction of the Matoran Universe itself. This, and the disarray that followed, were the tools that shaped an impressionable young warrior into a being with a conviction that the world was built on a foundation of sand - in more than the literal sense.

Name: Redshift

Model: Modified jetpack

Weaponry: None

Customisation: Using an extra thruster, Redshift is able to carry the heavier being. This ability is drawn from Kathok’s elemental reserves, so while activated he is not able to fire his rhotuka launcher. Redshift has the ability to raise its speed to double the normal cruising speed for 10 seconds before ‘recharging’ for around forty seconds. Nevertheless, Kathok’s weight limits its use to around a day continuously before refuelling.

Appearance: Like a large chrome backpack.  What appears to be a skull is attached behind his head, facing out: it’s what Kathok claims is a defeated foe, but was in fact found abandoned in the deep desert.
