Both started as LEGO fans who eventually worked for The LEGO Group - the former as a Community Manager and the latter as a set designer. They've since parted ways with Billund, but still have a passion for the brick, which they've used to create Construct-a-Venture: Building Tales with Syd and Friends!, a book that combines storytelling with building techniques. I haven't had a chance to do a deep dive on my copy yet, but from flipping through the pages it looks like a fun and useful addition to any aspiring builder's collection!
