Pokémon: Rise Of The Rockets

OOC: Uh-oh... Galladassassin here is in trouble...

KNI, do you mean three moves literally? Like, three dark pulses and then Deino's out?

IC Jacob

"Urgh!" Jacob briefly lost his balance as the Golurk's massive foot came crashing down. Swiftly regaining his balance, he maneuvered around the giant foot, examining any weaknesses he could exploit. Then he got an idea...

From what he knew about Golurks, they had some sort of seal on their chest that held together some sort of crack. If the seal were to be damaged sufficiently enough for the crack to open, the energy that powered the automaton would be dispersed into the surrounding atmosphere, rendering the remaining suit of armor nothing but an empty shell. "Let's see if I can't do just that," the assassin thought.

With a psychically-enhanced leap, the Gallade jumped onto the Golurks ankle, grabbing onto the copper rim that rested atop the pokemon's foot. Dragging himself up, he inspected the Golurk's leg. "Any handholds, any handholds," he thought. A fewdents made in the pokemon's leg seemed grabbable but they were too few and far in between. "I could just teleport up," Jacob thought, "But if I miss, it's a long way down... Why didn't I bring the clawshot? ###### sumo assassination contract."

Jacob cautiously gripped a chink in the Golurk's leg before attempting to find a a good foothold. He finally found one, but it was to small to grab. He searched his belt... Aha!

During the assassination before the sumo, Jacob had been forced to climb a mountain. Triumphantly bringing out a piton, he grabbed it and stabbed it into a chink in the automaton's leg, using it to pull himself up. Grabbing another one from his belt, he attempted to stab another chink; no use. "Something to dig the hole..." Grabbing a pistol off of his belt, he shot the chink several times at point blank. Finally, it seemed like it was usable. "Here we go," Jacob thought as he continued his attempt to scale the colossus...

OOC: ICs for Freeman and Cero coming when I receive the verdict on how Perish Song is translated into the game.

IC: Dack

Madison and Dack watched in amazement as the Heatmor licked up the Heatran's most powerful attack like it was cotton candy. Once the Magma Storm had disappeared, Anzu continued to float in the air for a second before she lost consciousness and fell into Madison's waiting arms.

"Thank you," Madison said to the Heatmor and its trainer as she cradled her Froslass.

[...]

"First we should probably introduce ourselves," Madison said, still holding Anzu in her arms. "I'm Madison and this is Dack. Our friend with the Machoke is Luke."

IC: Baku's face flushed cherry-red when she heard the giving of thanks. She bowed deeply in response, attempting to return the favor in kind with her own welcome. Hafgufa and Bhusunda both made snickering sounds at the sight. Giving them a quick glare apiece, Baku straightened and dusted herself off as the fight ended, maintaining her cool composure. Bhusunda fell silent at this, letting her lack of experience show, but Hafgufa milked the moment for all it was worth and didn't stop tentacle-pointing nor his aqueous chuckling until Baku showed him her eerily-thin smile. A natural type advantage meant little when Baku had absorbed so much flame and carried three moves stronger against Hafgufa's typing besides. Cassius watched the proceedings with a sigh and adjusted his rumpled collar. He hadn't caught any 'mon other than the Murkrow at any point following his original Unovan trip. Team dynamics were changing and along with revolution in the team's workings came revolution in how the team actually worked. He'd have to test the post-Bhusunda group many times. For now, though, he decided he might as well talk with the others and say the names of his team.

"I am called Cassius Ichabod Faust," He stated, meandering across the snow towards the other trainers. Bhusunda trailed him, while Baku joyfully bounded to his side. Hafgufa simply let out a derisive jet of water akin to a snort and stayed put. "Miss Murkrow is Bhusunda, Mr. Jellicent is Hafgufa, and the Heatmor--," He said with a grin, cupping the creature's long nose and scratching under the neck, causing Baku to expel smoke from its nostrils with contentment,"--Is Baku." He tossed out his Sawsbuck as well for good measure. Now in Winter Forme due to the change of seasons, he looked down on his surroundings with no small degree of poise or pride. "Sawsbuck is Eikþyrnir. That's it for my introductions, I suppose."

-==IC: Ray//Four Island==-As he was being pulled along by Sonja, Ray heard Ryan's voice call out, and tapped Sonja on the shoulder quickly, before turning his head."Ryan!" Ray called over in response, as there was still some distance between the three of them. Of the three of them, he didn't have quite so much tie to Four Island... But he himself did think it seemed nice and relaxing; almost like it was the one place where peace could be felt. He wondered if any of the others were here, or if they were the only ones there.-==IC: Zach==-Zach frowned as he approached the giant, and then tossed out Smugleaf quickly as he approached."Get as close as you can, then Vine Whip the monstrosity!" Zach called out, as the Snivy attempted to get close, but kept having to dodge the many attacks that were around. Zach sighed, as he shook his head, not sure what to do, as the Snivy finally managed to land one blow on the giant's legs, before getting knocked away by the other attacks nearby."Seriously? It's like there's too many for direct attacks..." Zach said, and frowned, as he knew that Luke's attacks would be just as useless, although for different reasons...

OOC: Consider Perish Song effectively retconned- seriously, how lame would it be if that's how the fight ended? :P
IC:
"...check that, it would be useless in this noise, Politoed. Instead..."
Devin blinked away drops of rain as he ordered the next move. Politoed's special ability- formerly only known to be used the legendary Kyogre -boosted Politoed's abilities quite a bit. "...Hydro Pump the stuffing out of his face!" The Politoed leapt, wrenching its head upwards and using the extremely powerful move directly on Leviathan's head. Devin tossed Toxicroak into the mix.
"Follow up with Poison Jab, Toxi!" Immediately, the Toxic Mouth Pokemon's mouth sac churned for potency, and let loose- his clawed hand stabbed at the Golurk's foot. Of course, the large chance for poisoning was a mere side-effect of the strike.
"You can fight in the rain, guys. Don't screw this one up."
OOC:
Species: Politoed
Nickname: None
Trainer: Devin DeLong
Appearance: Looks like DARTH VADUR. Jk, he's the same as all other Politoeds.
Personality: Surprisingly cheerful in comparison to the rest of Devin's team, he's been with the trainer for the longest, and therefore they understand one another the best. However, with this comes a little bit of remorse at his trainer's harsh transformation from boyhood to a man, which he displays at times.
Ability: Drizzle
Speciality: An ace in the water and in rain.
Known Moves: Mind Reader (egg move), Mud Shot, Hydro Pump, Perish Song, Hypnosis, Mist (egg move)
Species: Castform
Nickname: None
Trainer: Devin DeLong
Appearance: Though this literally changes with the weather, he is no different from any other of his brethren at base form.
Personality: Though somewhat timid, Castform is reliable, for what that's worth. As an artificial Pokemon, he doesn't have quite the connection with his trainer as natural 'Mon.
Ability: Forecast
Specialty: Being a Castform, his specialty highly depends on the weather conditions.
Known Moves: Rain Dance, Blizzard, Weather Ball, Future Sight (egg move), Ominous Wind (egg move), Hydro Pump

IC: Leviathan's fist hit Piedra with the all the force and weight of a mudslide--an apt comparison, Cero thought faintly, given their similar composition. The Probopass' Power Gem likewise made contact with the knuckles. However, Piedra was barely over a meter in height, while Leviathan's girth alone exceeded that measurement several times. And Leviathan's attack had gravity on its side due to its descent. Predictably, Piedra was slammed into the ground and flung away by the force of impact, nearly spinning through several people before it was thrust by its own momentum into the side of a nearby building and buried in the explosion of rubble. For any other such defeated Pokemon, Cero would have thought the attack to be a certain knock-out at least, possibly even a serious injury. But Piedra's constitution was solid to the core. Its body was highly dense and lacked any sort of organ. Moreover, these traits were exemplified by its Sturdy ability: even having been thrown into the side of a structure, Piedra yet flew from the ruin with Magnet Rise to hover once again, battered but not conquered.

The Golurk's foot followed its fist in descent towards the ground. Cero could do nothing but watch as Viajero, and Aridez following, scurried away from its destination with meters to spare. Yet they were not safe from the earthquake resulting on impact. Viajero's speed and agility couldn't save him from being tossed into the air and battered by debris and fellow fighters alike. Aridez was much more fortunate than his canine companion. Having caused many an Earthquake previously, he allowed himself to sway with its force but not be moved from his spot upon his feet, the weight of his Curse only aiding him in this regard. Piedra escaped the destruction totally, spinning through the burst of devastation with nary a scratch thanks to Magnet Rise. Cero was equally versed in the ways of a seismic shock as his Hippopotas. Realizing the force of the unimpeded impact of such a giant's stomp, he ran towards the center of the street and similarly rolled with the rippling earth, undamaged by falling debris due to his location. He glanced about to assure the conditions of his fighters were not critical, briefly looking up to find rain falling, then focused on giving orders.

Cero first looked to Viajero. The Lillipup may have proved its speed and agility in weaving about the falling of giant appendages and other combatants to strike, but he was as yet inexperienced and fragile, not having figured out how to escape from an attack on such a large scale as the tremor. His fur was in total disarray and he breathed heavily, suggesting to Cero that Viajero had sustained a high level of injury. He needs and deserves a break. Let's give him one, Cero internally concluded. As he withdrew the Lillipup's Ultra Ball, however, the tiny canine tottered forwards, looking up at him with alarm in his eyes. He trembled as he lifted one paw damp with the falling rain and lined with the grit of the former Sandstorm. Examining the area of the leg with both hand and eye, Cero happened upon a rope and a tiny bottle of medicine he recognized to be a Potion. The trainer pocketed both and nodded his thanks to Viajero before retrieving his fighter.

Next, Cero turned to Piedra. The dour Probopass was just as battered as before the earthquake, if thoroughly drenched by the weather, but still hovering. He could still be commanded. As in Viajero's case, though, his injuries were numerous, and Cero knew it would be folly to command him to launch an attack on titan Leviathan again. Unlike Viajero, however, Piedra's services were still useful in this fight as a wall and damage-dealer. And Piedra could maintain himself. Maintenance would be an investment in the damaged creature that might well renew its defensive services. "Retreat and use Rest," Cero therefore ordered. The Probopass glared at the order to fall back, as usual for the stoic Probopass; he was typically reluctant to hide when he could fight. But he slipped into a nearby alley and Rested all the same to regain his health.

Piedra taken care of, Cero moved through the rain to glimpse his Hippopotas. Aridez hid beneath a nearby awning, eyeing the sudden storm as a cross look spread across his fat face. Cero had to suppress a mental chuckle at the sight in his scan. Evidently, the little sandstorm-producing pachyderm had a problem with someone else changing the weather. Quietly coaxing the Hippopotas out with promises of more battles to hasten his evolution, Cero told the mammalian 'mon to Curse and then Crunch again. The ungulate let loose an arcane groan. Another set of runes now lining his body, Aridez trotted forth to chomp down on Leviathan's ankle with his master once more watching.

IC: Klim Prizak, Goldenrod City

Moriarty was grazed by the Thunderpunch, causing a good deal of damage to the Dusknoir. The Dusknoir looked angrily at the Golurk, waiting for his master's orders.

"Hrm, if only we could cripple it somehow.", Klim said, looking at Leviathan.

Klim then noticed Jacob climbing up Leviathan's body and then it hit him! He had to distract it from Jacob! Klim sent out his Rotom and Froslass quickly and pointed at Leviathan.

"Moriarty, Will-o-Wisp on it's right hand!", Klim shouted, "Edison, use Hex on the same arm AFTER Moriarty hits it. Shiva, use Confuse Ray on it's head!"

Moriarty launched a fireball from his left hand, aiming to have it hit Leviathan's right hand. The flames made contact, but all there was to show for it was a small scorch mark on the back of it's hand. Edison launched a cursed orb of shadowy energy at the mark, aiming to cause some form of damage to the Golurk. Shiva floated up to the Golurk's head and emitted an eerie light, aiming to confuse it.

IC: Evan Tierra, Plasma Castle.

"I'll make sure nothing happens to you, ma'am.", Evan said respectfully, "I am one of the people who helped them defeat the Darkrai. I am pretty sure with my endorsement, they will listen to what you have to say."

IC: Freegle cawed indignantly as Leviathan's ThunderPunch headed skyward. Although he had already dropped Chuck Norris onto the ground, finally letting him use his true speed once more, the fist of the soil colossus was powerful and equally fast. As well, its large size aided in the inhibition of the Braviary's escape. Even if Freegle was able to circumnavigate the buildings before him, he couldn't flee from the doom behind him. It appeared as though he would be fried in the name of freedom after all.

"NO WAY JOSEFREENA!" Freeman shouted up to his bird, displeased with its seeming inability to outmaneuver Leviathan's ThunderPunch and equally concerned by the possibility of protecting freedom without its greatest avatar. "FREEGLE, YOU'RE A BOMBER! ACT LIKE ONE!" Freegle cawed in approval. Its earlier Tailwind had just dissipated and another one was definitely in order. Flapping its wings vigorously, it summoned a Tailwind, providing it and all allied forces in the area a speed boost as currents expedited their individual movements. Quickened, the Braviary soared off towards Freeman without a scratch. "MORE NUKES!" Hastened once more by its refreshed Tailwind, Freegle Honed Claws with its air guitar rendition of "Blow Me Away."

Meanwhile, the earthquake brought about by Leviathan's stomp washed across the department store. Doomcannon's day was not brightened by his top-heaviness nearly causing him to fall. But his Iron Tail did allow him to stay in place. Shaken and disgruntled, yet unconquered, he still lamented the damage. Apparently, the Golurk could incite seismic tremors with his blows. That was a severe obstacle for Freeman's crew of physical fighters. Could his day get any more dark than an enemy his master had little hope against?

Almost on cue, a droplet splashed onto Doomcannon's head. He looked up to see a darkening sky and a torrential downpour. Doomcannon sighed.

His day just got darker.

"MORTAR IT IN THE FAAAAAAACE~!," Freeman yelled, causing Doomcannon to sigh one more time. Still, he didn't suppose his master exactly had any more powerful options than this move. In the Rain, "mortar"-ing was severely weakened, but Hyper Beam and Clear Smog were both out of the question due to the Golurk's set of resistances and immunities. Flame Burst and Iron Tail didn't possess the power required to fight this giant. And Barrier was only useful as an attack at a very short range.

Doomcannon raised his arm and pointed it towards Leviathan's head. Then it aimed, readied, and fired a tremendous Fire Blast.

Freeman had already turned away from Doomcannon and now looked to ManBearPig as he bounced quietly along. "MANBEARPIG, USE TELEKINESIS ON HITMONCHAN AND TELL IT TO GIVE MR. COMMIE DIRTHEAD SOME OF MOTHER RUSSIA'S LUV! THEN USE ESP ON MR. COMMIE DIRTHEAD!" He fistpumped. "FOR GREAT JUSTICE!"

<Um...>

<...>

<H-hello, Chuck.>

<...ManBearPig?>

<...R-right, listen. Ice Punch i-its ankle.>

<Is that optimal?>

<I-it's where everyone else is attacking...>

<Roger...I mean, Chuck...that.>

<T-thanks.>

Face slightly flushed from actually communicating with another, ManBearPig turned back to the matter at hand and attempted to punch the Golurk's head with the telekinetic force of Psychic.

Chuck Norris looked out upon the battlefield that day. And Chuck Norris said, "Hit."

For lo! the battlefield was the site of much wrack and ruin, and in vain did Chuck search for its organization. For its organization had been voided by a great trembling which had been brought about by the diabolical work of the villainous Leviathan. And its marred, imperfect state gave Chuck much distress; and so he saw this. And it was bad.

Thus, Chuck Norris applied Mach Punch, and presently Ice Punch, as he made there to be upon the ankle of the Leviathan much ice, neatening its repugnant form with the sublime rime of Chuck's coolness. For Chuck so loved his pulchritudinous swiftness that his grace allowed swiftness in the perfection of golems with much-needed icing. And so he saw this.

And it was good.

IC:

"Huh."

Devin watched an ally's Magmortar attack the Golurk's head with a high-powered blast of fire. Now, with the knowledge that Leviathan's body was vastly made of clay, the fire attack would easily bake the beast's composition. And while it was soft, two high-powered water attacks would wreck havoc like no other. Hmm... Two flashes of light later, Accelgor and Castform had been sent into combat. With a screech, the bug-type support ninja readied itself for combat. The Shell Out Pokemon hadn't been in a fight in days. Naturally, this made him a little restless.

"Castform, let that Magmortar's attack land, and then smash Golurk's head with Hydro Pump! Accelgor, distract its arms with U-Turn!"

Castform floated upwards, letting loose with Hydro Pump as soon as Fire Blast found its mark. Accelgor used U-Turn continually on his opponent's arms, keeping it occupied (in conjunction with the other 30+ 'Mon, of course) while everyone else fired off blasts of death with extreme prejudice. Meanwhile, it kept raining hard, keeping Toxicroak at top condition, while Politoed caught the hint and focused his complete and repetitive attention on Leviathan's face with a nigh-all-destructive stream of water.

IC: The Golurk's quasi-earthquake posed little problem for the two Pokémon by James side who was positioned a distance away from the giant ghost type. For the three physical (well two and one mixed) fighters closer to the epicenter of the quake two of them had managed to brace themselves well in order to minimize damage from the attack. Minimize being the key word as they all received the blow of the powerful attack but out of the three of them only the Weavile sustained serious damage. James beckoned for the Weavile to retreat close to him and continue boosting his power and speed until a better opportunity to attack should arise.

The Thunderpunch on the other hand had dealt a good deal of damage to Galahad, who had been closest to the giant fist. Realizing there was rain and that their was little his main attacks could do in this situation he passed over Mordred and cast Wish and him.

"Very well... Gawain follow in the wake of the other water types, Lancelot use Bullet Punch on its leg. Guinevere how have the Calm Mind's been going?"

About reaching optimal performance.

"Good then both of you," addressing Percival as well, "Resume blasting it with Shadow Ball."

The Mudfish Pokémon found that he was within his element as the rain started. By raising some of the earth and combining it with the rain the Swampert unleashed a stream of Muddy Water right at Leviathan. His Scizor companion charged at the Ghost-type in a strange fashion, further increasing his power. He unleashed all that he could in a Steel punch right where a Hitmonchan had attacked with an Ice Punch.

...Nothing like cold steel to kill a giant... Lancelot thought before considering slapping himself.

And by James, two special based attackers combined two Shadow Balls to make one great Shadow Ball which they hurled with all their strange might towards the giant.

On Jamie's side she retreated Tristan and set him out by Grummore. He had been too close to the fist for comfort and needed to be healed before being sent back out to the front. Pelleas was far better off on his side but had been largely separated from the group. The Heracross noticed however he closer to the Rocket agent who Jamie had adventured with earlier. One with those grass types. He did a quick check and found the guy he was looking for, the Weepinbell.

Hey you, Grass-guy forgot your name. Could you use a status move on me?

As for Lucan and Palomides, they simply blasted away with the STAB, super-effective against Golurks, move of their type.

IC - Sonja Baron - Four Island: Sonja turned as she heard her name, and then smiled at the sight of Ryan running toward them. Letting go of Ray, she waved. "Ryan! It's been a while!" she called, stopping to let him catch up. "How's it going?"

IC - Jupiter - Plasma Castle: Jupiter seemed unconvinced. "We'll see how that goes."

Before the conversation could continue, the Plasma attendant returned, Poké Ball in hand. She approached Evan and Jupiter, holding out the container. "Plasma Beheeyem," she said. "Please be sure to send it back as soon as you have finished your mission."

IC - Leviathan/Joker/Gavin Braner/Ethan Worth - Goldenrod City:

The stream of attacks continued, chipping away at the colossus's armor. Leviathan, for its part, still seemed unfazed by certain attacks--poisonous strikes did little to nothing to its health, given the Ghost-Type's massive size, and the same could be said for burns. The flash of Confuse Ray erupted before it, and yet Leviathan seemed hardly affected--temporarily blinded in one eye, certainly, but hardly enough to make it attack itself. Those attacks aimed at its feet went virtually noticed, including Jacob's attempts to climb toward Leviathan's chest seal. Its arms, meanwhile, were hardly independent entities, and therefore the strikes made against them did less to "distract the arms" and more to simply anger the titan further.

As Leviathan drew its fists back toward itself, it noted the flurry of attacks flying toward its head--a five-point blast of flame; powerful, raging currents of water; a large sphere of darkness that rolled forth. Sixty feet, however, was a long way to travel, and Leviathan responded by bringing its left arm forward, blocking the flames and water and shadow with its forearm. As the smoke cleared, several large cracks could be seen on its armor's surface, black lines cut across what was otherwise a teal limb. Clenching its damaged fist, Leviathan used Iron Defense, momentarily causing its body to glint with a silver light as it strengthened its physical defenses; soon after, the air around its fists chilled, as it stepped forward and used a combination of Hammer Arm and Ice Punch to slam both into the street. The impact caused a number of large ice spikes to erupt around the newly-made craters, slamming into those who stood too close, though with the side effect of opening Leviathan up for a closer attack by those who could avoid the massive, retaliatory action.

Ethan Worth and his team hardly counted in that respect. Suya managed to avoid it by virtue of emulating certain caped crusaders and slinging himself about the field (managing to throw a Stun Spore in Pelleas in the process, to unseen effect,) but aside from him, most of Ethan's team was struck, and all were knocked back into the side of a building or otherwise cut off from their trainer--who, meanwhile, found himself forced back into the now-damaged alleyway where Joker still sat, blocked from the battle by a wall of ice. As he recovered from the impact of his landing, the Rocket agent looked at the Shadow Admin. She was seated in a meditative pose in the middle of the alley, surrounded by a brightly-glowing pink aura that danced around her. Ethan considered asking her what she was doing and why she was doing it now, of all possible times, but decided against it, focusing instead on what now separated him from everyone else.

Gavin lowered his arm from his face, staring from his perch on a nearby roof at the Golurk's temporarily bowed frame. It wouldn't be long before Leviathan recovered; as such, the Rocket Agent straightened up, releasing what Pokémon he had onto the field, each of them materializing near him--save for Dothe, the Dusknoir having brought him to his position in the first place. Ignoring the mixed rain and sandstorm as best he could, Gavin point at Leviathan.

"Hit it with everything you've got!" he ordered. And so his Pokémon complied: Ithes launched a Hydro Pump at Leviathan's lowered head; Dothe floated forward, raising his hands and attacking with Night Shade; Irest planted his feet firmly in the ground, launching a series of Pin Missiles at Leviathan's back; Talsim and Evris mixed a Confusion attack, increasing its power as best they could against the Ghost-Type. From above Gavin, Sivik, too, launched a Water Pulse, though as he attacked, his body began to glow white and change form, signaling his evolution...

The first thing Joker saw as she opened her eyes was the presence of a large block of ice that had not existed previously. The next was Agent Worth walking back and forth in front of it, occasionally tapping the cold surface in an attempt to figure out a way through it. He did not seem to notice the Shadow Admin as she pushed herself to her feet, grabbing the cracked helmet in front of her as she moved and placing it over her head again. Without so much as a word of explanation, she pushed Ethan aside, raising one gauntlet-clad hand and focusing.

Pebbles of ice broke off from the wall as it shook, cracking a moment later and rising from the ground, suspended by a telekinetic force. Ignoring the stunned surprise in Ethan's head, Joker walked forward, the ice block moving with her, and entered the rainy street, turning to face the momentarily disabled Leviathan. From its stance--the fact that both of its forearms were pressed against the ground--she could tell that it had used Hammer Arm in its last attack, accounting for its current lack of motion.

That served her perfectly.

Eyes narrowed, Joker raised her other hand, clenching her fist and stepping back. With a shout, she moved forward, throwing her palm before her as if she were pitching a baseball. The massive ice block shot forward, propelled by her power, and struck Leviathan head on, sending shards and dust of ice in every direction as the projectile crashed against its head.

"All combatants, focus your attacks on a single point!" the Shadow Admin ordered, mental connections helping to project her voice. "Psychic-Types should do as much as they can to keep Leviathan from moving. Everyone else--focus on the chest or head." With a mental command, three of her Poké Balls opened, releasing another Dusknoir, an Alakazam, and a Gengar onto the field, all three of whom immediately moved to follow her orders--Alakazam helping Joker to psychically restrict Leviathan's movements, and the two ghosts moving forward, in the space beneath Leviathan's chest and the street, to launch Ice Punch and Dark Pulse, respectively, at the titan's power seal.

Joker looked directly at Leviathan, the sounds of battle becoming muted around her, locking eyes with the Golurk. Behind the sudden hatred and anger, the Shadow Admin could see the real Leviathan--as well as the truth of the matter: That there was nothing left to be done for it. Behind those feelings that were not its own, Joker sensed a plea for mercy--a plea for release from the chains Wrath and Ford had managed to place upon it.

All she could do was nod, very slightly, as the Golurk turned its head, given back to the rage...

IC - Van Harrison - Galactic HQ:Van stared in shock at what had just happened. He could hardly believe what he had just witnessed, but he still felt a mysterious calmness overtake his mind. "Relax... Van Harrison..." a soft voice echoed throughout his entire body. As dark and nightmarish as others would have described it, this energy seemed to harbor no ill-will towards the agent. Regaining his composure, Van recalled Hydreigon back into its Poke Ball, the damage from impact having done enough to take the might hydra down."I don't know what you are..." Van said, drawing forth another Poke Ball, his eyes focused on Envy. Releasing his second Pokemon, a Nidoking, Van flicked his hair back casually, surprising even himself how he was acting. "But I will defeat you and get the answers I seek!" The darkness sealing his heart began to weaken, as Van slowly started to regress into his state of envious rage, as the shadows worked to seal his heart."Earth Power, now!" Van commanded, the Nidoking complying as he let loose a roar before slamming it's hands down, cracking the ground and unleashing a burst of gold light which quickly skated along the ground, making a beeline towards Exeggutor. Van kept his focus on Envy, a faint glow in his eyes, and a dark silhouette around him, appearing to be attempting to shield the young man from Envy's influence.~Det

OOC: Much longer post to come; setting up for said post.

IC:

Devin narrowed his eyes, noticing the damage to the Golurk's arm. If those arms were destroyed, the rest of the body would be open to attack. "Hey, you!" he yelled, running up to Freeman. His team was close behind. "Have your Magmortar cook that thing's arms! My team'll follow up and turn then to mush! Then its head will be practically defenseless!"

IC: Ryan

"It's going well," Ryan grinned, running to catch up to his two friends. When he finally reached the path, he had to stop to catch his breath. "I've been in Fortree, my hometown, helping with the rebuilding. But man, does it feel good to be back on Four Island!" Still breathing heavily from his short jog, he looked up at Ray and Sonja. I felt kinda like Sawsbuck would be fooled into thinking it was winter regardless of season due to the weather of Snowpoint. Also, Winter Forme looks cooler against snow xP

Cero later.

IC: Freeman frowned. Looking down towards the scattered people about the feet of Leviathan, he made out that bright-haired woman from earlier. Her lips appeared to be moving, but no sound was coming out. He could not perceive her speech at all. What's up with that? In real life, people can always hear each other talk.

"HELLO! I CAN'T HEAR YOU~!"

She mouthed something again.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY? IF IT WAS ABOUT HOW WE NEED TO PRESERVE THIS BEAUTY OF NATURE OR SOME OTHER HIPPIE-HUGGER OF TREES-COMMIE FALSEHOODS, THEN I'M AFRAID WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A TALK OF FISTICUFFS--"

The lady abruptly stopped speaking without words and locked eyes with the giant Golurk. Freeman barely repressed a snicker. It looked like they were having an intimate moment. Seeing how she had refused to say anything and simply shunned him, though, put tragedy within his soul. The attitude expressed in that action was such a pity. She'd have made a nice Lady Liberty when he took down the Golurk wall and instated democracy within Goldenrod City.

"ALRIGHT, FINE, BE THAT WAY." Freeman pouted. "BET YOU NEVER WERE A TRUMURKAN ANYWAY."

"Have your Magmortar cook that thing's arms! My team'll follow up and turn then to mush! Then its head will be practically defenseless!," a voice yelled behind Freeman. He grinned and swung about. At last, a fellow freedom-fighter had joined him. Now the pair could go on dashing exploits involving copious fossil fuel and capitalist ingenuity.

"SALUTATIONS, MY BRO! IF YOU REFER TO THE ILLUSTRIOUS SIR DOOMCANNON, HE SHALL NOW MOST GLORIOUSLY GLORIOUSLY GRILL THE STUFFING OUT OF THIS OVERSIZED AND WHOLLY COMMUNIST SAUSAGE!" The Magmortar let loose another torrent of flame towards the Golurk's torso. "NOW, MANBEARPIG, USE ESP AND SPIN THAT GRILL!" ManBearPig unleashed another Psychic, this time attempting to hold Leviathan's arm in the line of fire. "AND TELL CHUCK TO PUNCH IT IN DA TOE WHILE YOU'RE AT IT LIKE A GOOD PIECE OF BACON." Chuck Norris, heavily battered by the icy fall of the Golurk's fist, aimed an Ice Punch at its ankle again. "NOW, FREEGLE..." Freeman pondered. "PUNCH IT IN DA FACE LIKE A MAN!" The Braviary swooped towards the visage of Leviathan with clawed fists extended in the strike of Brave Bird enhanced by its multiple performances of Hone Claws, giving a last air-guitar rendition of "Sugar, We're Going Down." Freeman turned to his fellow and fistpumped. "HAVE NO FEAR, FRIEND! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR AMERICANS TO BE DEFEATED BY THE IMPOSSIBLE, FOR WE ARE MORE POSSIBLE THAN ANY OTHER POSSIBLE THING EVER!"

ManBearPig didn't have the heart to correct his usage of 'impossible'. He just tried to remind himself why he was still here.

IC: Evan Tierra, Plasma Castle

Evan took the poke ball, then turned toward Jupiter.

"I have to see if that other plasma Agent I brought in is all right.", Evan said, "After that, we can get going. You'll have to come with me."

With that, Evan, followed by Jupiter, went in the direction of the infirmary. Evan was thinking about Jupiter's story on the way there. Something that horrifying seemed almost unreal. But then again, Evan himself knew that was wrong, seeing as he had been brought back to life. Until that moment, Evan thought that was impossible. So it really didn't seem as far fetched as he thought. Evan and Jupiter had reached the infirmary.

"I'd like to see a Jenny Hakuda.", Evan said to one of the nurses, "I brought her in earlier and would like to see if she's all right."

"She just woke up a few minutes ago.", the nurse said, "If you'd like, I can take you to see her. She seemed quite exhausted, but she'll be better since you brought her in."

"Make it so." Evan said as the nurse nodded and lead him to Jenny's room......

-==IC: Jenny==-Jenny stared at the ceiling, still slightly confused.There's... A ceiling? But i was outside... Jenny's first thought was, as she looked around, noticing she was in a hospital room of sorts, seemingly. How did I get here? Jenny wondered, as she looked over to her right, hearing footsteps down the hall. She still seemed tired, and a little hungry still, but already felt better; likely from the rest she appeared to have gotten. As the door opened, she looked over in surprise, as it was Evan who was at the door with the nurse, but then simply smiled, as she chuckled to herself."I wonder if you know anything about how I wound up here?" Jenny asked, having a feeling that he was who she had seen earlier; and this was how she got to the room.

IC - Jupiter - Plasma Castle: Jupiter, electing to wait in the hall outside of Jenny's room, shook her head as the door closed behind Evan, directing her gaze at the floorboards.

A supernatural force appears and wipes out the entirety of an organization, and instead of immediately going to warn people, he elects to check on a single girl first, she mused. Just another day in the life of the 'Hero of Space,' I suppose...

IC - Sonja Baron - Four Island: "Oh, you know--work," Sonja said simply. "Also visiting. Mostly visiting, actually--I'm stopping by to pick some stuff up and say to whoever is around. Speaking of..." She peered behind Ryan. "I see Ellen's not with you. Did she go back home?"

IC - Envy - Galactic HQ: Upon fully registering what Van had said, Envy clenched her teeth, taking a deep breath and momentarily closing her eyes. "You almost make it sound like I'm not human, Van," she answered in a measured tone. "Yet, we're more alike than you know."

Envy frowned at the display before her. An internal struggle, it seems--as if his human emotions struggle to repress the extra darkness, and the other way around, in turn. She brushed her bangs out of her eyes, returning his focused stare. Keep on fighting, Van--whether you suppress your emotions or let them flourish, I only need you to win this battle.

As Nidoking attacked, Exeggutor's form seemed to shimmer. A moment later, he had leaped into the air with more agility than his large form should have afforded, glowing eyes set on his opponent. Instead of the expected psychic attack, however, the Coconut Pokémon unleashed a blast of dark energy at Nidoking--one easily recognizable as Dark Pulse. Envy seemed to hardly notice--her thoughts were elsewhere.

Don't you dare look at me as if I am a monster.. I will not tolerate that again...

IC: Aridez' layer of fat may have been thick, but when Leviathan's fists both began to radiate sub-zero temperatures, the abrupt drop in heat could even be sensed by the tiny pachyderm. That sensation was not good news in his mind. And he knew when to fold 'em. Turning tail and grunting, he made off towards Cero's spot beneath the awning with all the speed his stubby legs could muster. However, the arcane etchings of Aridez' several Curses weighed his movement enough that his maximum speed was a slow canter even with the help of the Tailwind. The mammalian male was thus stuck jogging across the street when the Golurk landed its massive attack. Aridez was nearly skewered as a lance of ice slammed into his skin, causing him to involuntarily shudder as the temperatures his kind detested spread a coating of rime across his body. Yet his hardy constitution, bolstered by the runes marking his body, held fast. He had not been knocked out by the attack.

Cero, though, was hardly pleased with the result of Leviathan's icy assault. Piedra had escaped unharmed...But Piedra was currently Resting and unable to be commanded successfully. Aridez was still standing...But he was nearly Frozen and had sustained heavy damage. And it wasn't as though either of them could hope to attack Leviathan as per Joker's plan, anyway, Aridez not capable of reaching the titan beyond its few parts that were touching the ground and Piedra incapable of effectively combating the colossus. All that was left to do was use Buitre. By now, she would have enacted enough Nasty Plots to challenge the Golurk with force and agility, given her flight and the Tailwind. This plan in mind, Cero performed the tactical sequence. "Slack Off." The Hippopotas yawned and sat down, the rime melting off his body as he recovered from the damage his foe had inflicted. Then the Team Magma agent recalled his healed fighters. Once they left, he figured, he'd be able to devote all of his concentration to his last combatant.

Cero turned, looking towards the area which he had last seen the vulture. She'd return when he cast his gaze in her direction. But his readied call of "Buitre!" died on his lips. She was already there.

Buitre glided from the darkness with her trademark leisurely grace. Her apron--ever so meticulously picked clean--and preened plumage were both intact. Her talons and bleak glinted as usual. And her neck was as lithe and supple as ever, coiling slightly to provide the condor with a better vantage point to regard her trainer. Her manner was aloof and haughty as ever. Yet Cero detected she had changed in the seconds she had been separate from him. His hunch was proven correct as his glance stuck on her gaze. Her sclera had inverted in color, turning an opalescent pitch-black. Her pupils gleamed like obsidian in the night with the unique darkness of one possessing a diabolical scheme. The eyes are the windows to the soul, Cero remembered the proverb. If that was correct, then the soul of his Mandibuzz had been darkened by her many Nasty Plots. The thought was unsettling in one way. She had been his second catch and a balance to Piedra's dour countenance, always planning her exploits passionately in contrast to the Probopass' dour resignation. Now that plotting appeared evident in a way Cero had never seen it before, perturbing him. But at the same time, Buitre was her usual self. She had not done any more than what he had requested of her--what he expected of her--and he thanked her for that. She was dutiful. And her duty would not be swayed by a slight change of appearance.

Resolve at its pinnacle, the trainer turned back towards Leviathan. The condor's soar gently curved along with his changing of gaze. "Dark Pulse its seal!," Cero commanded. Buitre's response demonstrated an alacrity he had never before witnessed in his great bird. Distasteful glare now locked onto the strap across the Golurk's chest and glide weaving through the aerial combat near his arms, she opened her beak in her usual caw. But no sound issued from the Mandibuzz' bill that day. What emerged in its stead was a monstrous burst of her aura shadowed by a dozen Nasty Plots that flew from her maw with a speed precisely calculated to cleave through the strap on Leviathan's chest and let loose its energy without allowing for anything's interaction. The beam cut from the tip of the vulture's tongue towards the colossus not as an ordinary attack but as a weapon of demonic punishment. And Buitre intended to castigate Leviathan, indeed.

IC - Van Harrison - Galactic HQ:An arrogant smirk came across the face of Van, an almost involuntary reaction. He could sense that he was getting to Envy. It may have seemed cruel in a way, insulting her as he did, but it was out of shock as to what she seemed capable of, in addition to a sort of 'what-goes-around-comes-around' mentality. Not having any clue as to what she was absolutely capable of, Van decided to himself to try not to push it any farther than necessary. "Are we? Are we really?" Van asked. "Nidoking! Poison Jab!"Nidoking nodded, standing its ground, as its spikes began to glow a bright purple, almost bubbling with toxicity. Although Nidoking was a fairly recent addition to Van's team of two, they had still bonded fairly quickly, drawn together by their shared loneliness, their understanding allowing the two of them to work well in tandem. Unlike his Hydreigon, however, Van noticed that Nidoking was not as brutal in combat, almost as if it was holding back its true potential. Nevertheless, Van still held onto Nidoking, having grown fairly attached in the short time they've been together.

Nidoking braced itself in the meantime, taking the Dark Pulse, but proceeded to leap into the air, fist drawn back, the poison being channeled into its claws. In addition, while this attack would not be leaving the Exeggutor with poison, it would be dealing extra damage thanks to Nidoking's Sheer Force. Around Van, the darkness seemed to drain into his shadow, a faint glint briefly breaking the shade.~Det

IC: Evan Tierra, Plasma Castle

"I was hoping you would tell me.", Evan said happily, "You looked quite off when I brought you in. But you seem better. I'd expect no less from one who fought alongside us against the Darkrai."

Evan's expression then changed to dead serious. People did not just collapse by the wayside like that. Something was amiss here. It would have to wait until after Evan had finished escorting Jupiter to Four Island, though.

-==IC: Jenny==-"That's true." Jenny said with another chuckle, but then frowned."Well, it might've had to do with me being taken from here by some odd guy with shaggy brown hair; and only recently getting brought back by Ray." Jenny said, as that was pretty much why she had collapsed; from being tired and not exactly in the greatest shape after all that."What about you; are you up to anything?" Jenny asked, kinda wanting to get out of Unova for a bit, since the incident still unnerved her slightly.

OOC: Giving Pelleas a specialization with Guts resisting status effects. And I’ll give Guinevere stronger Psychic power. Maybe Aura control (considering Aura Sphere was pretty much his only attack move for who knows how long) for Galahad.

IC: Scizor tossed Gawain and Tristan out of the way of an explosion of Ice Spikes. While both of them could take a hit about as well as he could, he had access to Roost which they did not. He was about to retreat to heal himself, when suddenly a Heal Pulse from both Lucia’s Audino and Chansey hit him in the back, fully restoring him. He shot back a thanks before charging back into the fray.

"...Guinevere..." James simply mentioned.

On it, the Gardevoir said before activating her Psychic powers. Her eyes glowed blue before she added her power to that of the other Psychics trying to immobilize Leviathan. It felt oddly good, expanding her powers at that moment. Johto does wonderful things for a Psychic's mind, thought Guinevere.

The rest of James’ Pokemon required even less prompting from James as their orders were simply going to be “blast it with your best in those places that Joker mentioned,” though with admittedly more flourish and accents, but time was of the essence. Both Lancelot and Mordred, fully primed with Sword Dances, launched a Bullet Punch and Ice Punch respectively on the chest of the giant (the former using Aerial Ace to rise and the later just climbing up Leviathan’s side really quickly with Agility). Gawain raised another column of muddy water and launched it at Leviathan’s face. As for Galahad and Percival, they launched their special attack of choice (Shadow Ball and Flamethrower) at the Golurk’s head as well (though Galahad felt he could not help much given the circumstances).

Pelleas breathed the Stun Spore as if it was the scent of fresh flowers. Sure feeling your limbs tense up and occasionally lock out was not pleasant, but the sheer power Pelleas felt running through his body at that moment was intoxicating enough for the Heracross to ignore it. Probably part of the reason he flew, charging at the far larger Leviathan and threw a Night Slash at his chest. Though one could argue he was counting the Psychics doing their job and holding the Golurk in place, like the other physical fighters, but if one looked at him they would see a look that felt he could take it on himself.

Knowing that Tristan didn’t exactly have the capability to rise 30 ft. like the other physical fighters, Jamie thought it best to order a Meteor Mash on one of its legs.

“Alright, Grummore try casting Disable and Psychic at him. Palomides and Lucan, fire away.”

The Ghastly and Vanilluxe immediately began launching their best attack (Shadow Ball and Ice Beam respectively) at the giant. One second afterwards Grummore cast Disable on Leviathan’s left arm.

OOC:I felt kinda like Sawsbuck would be fooled into thinking it was winter regardless of season due to the weather of Snowpoint. Also, Winter Forme looks cooler against snow xP

OOC: I was going to make an argument on whether or not you could trick a Sawsbuck into thinking it's a different season, but I can't really think of a good argument. And I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere that it is possible to trick real trees into thinking it's a different season. (Although I think the trees would still follow the natural order of seasons, not skip from summer to winter, but that's beside the point.)

IC: Dack

"Well, you've already met my Swellow, Bastiodon and Luxray," Dack said, motioning to his Pokemon. "But I also have Servine and Teddiursa--"

"Teddy," Madison corrected as said Pokemon came out of their Pokeballs.

Dack sighed. "Teddy... the Teddiursa." Excited to be out of his Pokeball, Teddy scrambled up to the top of Dack's head and waved at Cassius, Geoffrey, and their Pokemon. Servine, on the other hand, merely stood in the snow, trying not to betray how cold she was.

"And this is Anzu, my Froslass," Madison said, looking down at the unconscious Pokemon she held in her arms.

"Don't forget my Machoke!" Luke said as he caught up with the group. "That was some battle, huh?"

Dack nodded, looking around as the Snowpoint Fire Department arrived on the scene, armed with Lapras, Empoleon, and other assorted water-types. But there was not a flame to be seen; Baku had been very diligent in licking up every last ember from the Heatran's Magma Storm. Despite this, a residual orange glow still covered the battlefield. "Does anyone else notice that light?" Dack asked.

"It looks like it's coming from over there." Madison pointed at the spot where Heatran had skidded across the snow. Sure enough, the glow was brightest in that patch of snow.

"Luxray," Dack said, his curiosity perked. "See if you can dig out whatever might be underneath the snow." The lion Pokemon slowly walked over to the spot, annoyed at being treated like a canine Pokemon. Nevertheless, he started to dig. Because it was summer, the snow wasn't very deep, and before long Luxray had unearthed a large stone that glowed red-orange. Cautiously, Dack approached the hole and picked up the stone. It was about twice the size of his fist and heavier than it looked. It was also warm to the touch; there was a puddle of melted snow in the hole where the stone had been sitting. "Is this a... Magma Stone?" he wondered aloud. He had heard legends of the Magma Stone's connection to Heatran. Some said the stone could be used to control Heatran. Others claimed it merely summoned the Lava Dome Pokemon...

Despite the stone's warmth, Dack felt his hands go numb as a shiver raced down his spine, chilling him to the core. "That Heatran didn't just happen upon Snowpoint," Dack muttered, piecing together the puzzle as he spoke. "Someone took this Magma Stone and buried it here. That's why the Heatran came here... it was trying to reclaim the Magma Stone."

"But why would someone want to send a wild Heatran to attack Snowpoint City?" Madison asked, glancing at the ruined buildings in the vicinity of the battle. "We've already suffered so much in the past year."

Dack nodded solemnly. First the avalanche caused by Team Liberty that had buried half the city, then the invasion of the Ancient Darkrai that had ensnared the city's residents in endless nightmares. And now a Heatran had been purposely led to the quiet city to wreak havoc. Dack could only be thankful that he had actually been in Snowpoint for this attack.

Before Dack could think of an answer to Madison's question, the chief of the fire department approached them. "Do any of you know what happened here?" the chief asked. "We received the reports of the fire, and some victims claimed the fire was started by a Legendary Pokemon."

IC: Ryan

Ryan shook his head. "No, Ellen's still in Fortree. She's been a big help with the rebuilding process. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten homesick yet, being gone for six months." He sighed, recalling how strangely quiet Ellen had been right before he'd left. Perhaps she really was homesick but didn't want anyone to worry about her? He shrugged, looking back up at Sonja. "You know, we celebrated her birthday a couple months ago, just the two of us. Well, the two of us and all our Pokemon. She had fun, but I still feel like she should have spent her tenth birthday with her family." The Liberty Agent smiled sadly, looking from Sonja to Ray. "So many of us have broken families thanks to the war. I... I just don't want to see the same thing happen to Ellen."

IC - Sonja Baron - Four Island: Sonja nodded, shifting her gaze to a spot just past Ryan. She knew all too well the damage that a war could do to one's family--she had experienced firsthand, after all, with Sophia and her parents, and hat was without getting into all of her friends who had also been affected. Still, she felt it was a bigger issue with Ellen, considering--as Ryan had said--the fact that she was so young. A wave of realization and guilt washed over Sonja as she realized that she had never actually found out the circumstances behind Ellen's departure from home, only knowing that the mood at her family's house had been less than desirable when the group had left to go after Black.

It also occurred to her that she really did not know what to say.

"Yeah..." she said at length, voice noticeably quieter than before. Sonja shook her head slightly. "You know, I should have asked if she wanted to go back with me when I left. Not sure why I didn't think to sooner..." Sonja drummed her fingers against her other arm as she noted the parallels between this and Sophia's initial disappearance...

She was pulled from her reverie as someone approached the group, whistling loudly to get their attention. "Hey, you three! Why so serious?"

Kyle adjusted his backpack as he walked toward them, smiling as they turned to look at him. Kovian walked beside him, the Dewott bowing respectfully to the other Liberty agents.

IC - Joker/etc. - Goldenrod City: Leviathan visibly struggled against the combined psychic and gravitational pressure being applied to it. Try as it might, the colossus could not push itself back to its feet, its efforts further impeded by the attacks raining down on its head and body, clearly distracting it. With an angered, mechanical roar, it managed to pull one of its icy fists from the ground, locking its gaze on Joker and throwing a punch forward, fist shrouded with glaring flames. The ice around it melted as it threw the punch, scorching the ground underneath it as its fist hurtled down the street.

It stopped just short of Joker, far enough away to avoid burning her, but still enough to send a wave of heat toward her. The Shadow Admin did not flinch, sensing instead why the attack had been halted. From the emotions around her, the answer was obvious, and she was able to confirm it with a glance: Leviathan's seal had been destroyed. The metal had splintered from Buitre's Dark Pulse, and then fully broken by the attacks following it.

That meant the battle was over. Right?

To a certain extent, that was true. However, one detail seemed to have passed over the combatants' minds--and that was just what would happen when the seal was broken. The answer came in the form of Leviathan's lower body and hands retracting into its chest and arms, an action that signaled something very specific: Flight mode.

The rumbling beneath their feet confirmed Joker's suspicions.

"Take cover!"

The group scrambled to get out of the way, Ethan, Gavin, and Joker recalling their Pokémon as they moved to different alleyways or other places to avoid what was about to happen. Green energy erupted from Leviathan's chest and wrists, the force of the jets breaking through what remained of the psychic hold over it and launching it first down the street, arms slamming into the sides of several buildings along the way, and then into the air, where the Golurk continued to spiral and twist as it climbed higher and higher above the city.

It had virtually disappeared from sight when the propulsion stopped, sending Leviathan's body plummeting back toward the earth. Minutes later it reappeared in the sky, finally slamming into the large expanse of fields to the east of the city.

IC - Envy - Galactic HQ: Envy did not answer Van. As Nidoking rushed toward Exeggutor, her Pokémon braced itself for the attack. A cloud of dust erupted as Exeggutor was knocked back, feet skidding for several feet against the ground before the Coconut Pokémon back flipped the rest of the way, landing with a surprisingly light thud. The movement was accompanied by what appeared to be a shattering of glass, as Exeggutor's body shattered, revealing a growling Zoroark in its place.

As soon as she regained her bearings, the Dark-Type ran forward on all four limbs, careful not to place too much pressure on her injured left arm. With a snarl, Zoroark slashed, bit, and kicked at Nidoking in a dizzying Foul Play attack, claws faintly glowing green as she attempted to mimic Nidoking's power for her own attack.

OOC: So, I realized while writing this post that that last attack from Exeggutor!Zoroark should have been Night Daze, not Dark Pulse. Sorry about that. X3

OOC: No worries ^^

IC - Van Harrison - Galactic HQ:

Nidoking grunted in pain as it was attacked, but tried its best to keep focused as Zoroark kept up the assault. Nidoking was stunned by the amount of damage actually being out put, but spotted that its opponent was avoiding doing too much with its left arm. Seizing an opportunity, the Drill Pokemon lashed out with a swift roundhouse kick to the arm, knocking back the Illusion Fox Pokemon, before continuing on with its momentum and spinning around to deliver a second kick, this attack aimed at the head. Nidoking quickly jumped backwards, aiming to try and keep some distance, and hopefully attack from a distance. Electricity began to crackle in its horn, as it prepared to utilize Thunderbolt, though the earlier attacks had clearly done damage to Nidoking, as it was clearly swaying, having injured it's right leg, the one that it had used to deliver the kicks.

IC: Evan Tierra, Plasma Castle

"Going to escort someone to Four Island to warn Team Liberty about something.", Evan said, his voice taking a turn for the serious, "Team Galactic's HQ was utterly decimated. The person I am escorting is the only known survivor of the attack. I really should be going now. I just wanted to see how you were holding up."

With that, Evan left the room, grabbing the Plasma Beheeyem's Poke Ball as he did so.

-==IC: Jenny==-Jenny frowned slightly; as this was the perfect opportunity for her to get out of Unova. She slowly got out of the hospital bed, and stood up, as she walked out of the room, headed after Evan."I'm going with you." Jenny said, a serious look on her face as well."If things are really that serious, then don't you think that I should go with you?" Jenny asked, the corner of her mouth forming a slight smile, as she was entirely serious about going with the group.

IC: Evan Tierra, Plasma Castle

"Very well then.", Evan said, a small smile forming on his face as he sent out the Plasma Beheeyem, "Take us to Four Island, Beheeyem!"

The Beheeyem nodded as a bright light enveloped Evan, Jenny, Jupiter and Beheeyem. One moment they were in one of the halls in Plasma Castle. The next they were on a golden beach near an expansive blue ocean. Wingull flew up above, cawing out as they flew across the sky. Evan saw another group of people and grinned even bigger.

He knew this group of people. Some had helped him and the other two Heroes defeat the Ancient Darkrai and in Unova.

"Well now, this is a big surprise running into you guys!", Evan said happily to the group, "What have you guys been up to?"

-==IC: Ray==-"Evan!" Ray said in surprise; not expecting to see him there at all; as the Hero of Space walked up to the group."Haven't really been up to much..." Ray started to say, and then blinked as he saw Jenny there too."Well, I guess you probably know about my little side trip to Kanto just now, then." Ray said with a chuckle, as Jenny just gave him a 'seriously' type of look.

IC - Kyle Eston/Sonja Baron/Jupiter - Four Island: Kyle had started to reply to Ray, though cut himself off as Evan, Jenny, and another woman arrived. Instead he merely smiled, giving a nod to acknowledge the others and stepping to the side. Kovian followed, leaning against his trainer's shin, arms crossed and eyes closed. The Liberty Agent glanced down at his Pokémon, sighing and shaking his head before looking at the Alamo's entrance.

"Where one gathers, everyone does," he said quietly.

Sonja looked at him, placing her hands on her hips and giving him a pointed look, offset only by her sly smile. "Is that bad, Mr. Eston?"

Kyle looked back at her from under furrowed eyebrows. "Not necessarily, Miss Baron," he replied, copying her tone. "It is a weird coincidence, though, that we all ended up over here--the northern dock was closed, otherwise I wouldn't have; and I don't know about the rest of you, but this wouldn't be my choice of a spot to teleport to."

"True," she said. "Ray and I did, but our destination was up to Aizen, so..." Sonja shrugged. "It's probably nothing, though." Changing the subject, she looked at Evan, Jenny, and their companion. "So, what brings you here?" She peered closer at Jupiter. "And, who are you, by the way?"

Jupiter glanced at Sonja. The Galactic Admin's arms were crossed, pressed tightly against her chest. Everything about her seemed disheveled, from her hair and clothes to her stance in general. Even so, she straightened her back, demonstrating that she still bore strength despite what she had witnessed earlier.

"I am Galactic Admin Jupiter," she said, earning a surprised look from both Kyle and Sonja. "At least, I was an Admin. Team Galactic was attacked earlier today by a girl wielding some sort of dark power. As far as I know, I'm the only one who escaped." Jupiter turned her head, staring off into the trees. "That information is for your leaders, though, not you."

IC - Joker/etc. - Goldenrod City: The street was silent. Carefully, the combatants reappeared, scanning the area for any sign of Leviathan--or, really, any other supernatural threats that might decide to appear. The tension disappeared as the comic relief on top of the damaged department store roared about communists and doom cannons, a signal as good as any to indicate that things had finally calmed down.

Joker adjusted her helmet, holding a hand up to her visor as she psychically checked on the situation around the city. From the sounds of it, the majority of the rioters had been subdued, and the rest were quickly being dealt with. For all intents and purposes, that meant the only thing left to do was clean-up. She removed her helmet, shaking her head and taking a deep breath.

"Ma'am," Ethan approached her. "Orders?"

The Shadow Admin opened her eyes. "What?"

Ethan tapped his foot nervously. "... Orders?" She continued to stare pointedly at him. "What should we be doing, ma'am?"

"Do what you will," she answered sharply. Then, exasperated, "Just... get out of here. All of you."

Without another word, the Shadow Admin released her Alakazam, promptly teleporting away from Goldenrod and back to Abyss, leaving the others to their own devices.

IC - Envy - Galactic HQ: The first kick elicited a howl of pain from Zoroark, who reared back to retaliate. Before she could, the second kick struck her dead-on, connecting with the side of her head and causing her to spin sideways, visibly dazed as she fell to the ground. Envy frowned, expecting the Illusion Fox Pokémon to recover and move out of the way as Nidoking began charging his Thunderbolt attack. No such movement occurred. Instead, Zoroark stayed put, shaking her head to clear her vision.

"Zoroark," Envy cooed. "Move."

The Dark-Type blinked, looking at Envy. Snarling, she forced herself to her feet, stumbling as she rose. With her gaze set on Nidoking, Zoroark charged, leaping at the Ground-Type. Using her Frustration as fuel for another attack, she bared her fangs, aiming to slash and bite her opponent once more. From her position, Envy watched intently. If Nidoking struck Zoroark, that would be it--the fight would be over. One more step would be taken...

As if in anticipation, the winds picked up around Envy, chill fangs biting at her skin and ruffling her dress and hair.

IC: Watching the Shadow Admin disappear was the best thing the Liberty Executive saw all day. Not only did it mean that he did not have to be in her presence any longer but it was a symbol that the battle was truly over. Of course that left him with the problem he had before the battle started.

James found said problem behind him with the fullness of both his and her teams. Guinevere had thankfully warped out of the way those of them who were too close to the Golurk for comfort, the rest retreated to reunite with the rest of their team.

"Pity that this incident had to arise. Interrupted our first conversation in months."

"We weren't exactly having much of a conversation."

James was silent for a moment before responding "No, we weren't."

There were plenty of things that James felt he should have been saying. At the same time he could not figure out anything to say. All that came to mind were comforting lies and disturbing truths. He considered making the former but was unable to bring forth any words to his lips. The two stood their for a long awkward minute, neither able to come up with something to say.

"I am going to head back to Abyss. It was good to see you again."

"Take care of yourself Jamie. It would grieve me if something did happen to you."

He meant that at the very least.

IC: The two trainers, after gaining enough composure, ran away from the scene of their crime laughing all the while. They kept running until they sides hurt enough for them to stop to breathe. When they did stop they found that they were next to a training field. The temptation was too much for either to resist.

Both trainers instantly drew Pokéballs.

Richard grinned broadly as he saw his partner in crime pull a "weapon" on him as he did. It continued the "plot" going on in his head.

Richard called out the other trainer "So you were planning on betraying me all along weren't you?"

Claus stifled a laugh and tried to throw on a serious face (though seemed to be kind of failing), "Says the one who drew his Pokéball."Richard inched closer to one side of the field, "Hey you drew first."

"LIAR!"Both trainers tossed their respective Pokémon out on the field ready to fight the traitor.

IC: Ryan

"Don't worry yourself about it," Ryan told Sonja as he turned to greet Kyle. "Ellen wanted to help us rebuild; she wouldn't have wanted to go home... at least not yet." Ryan waved to his fellow Liberty Agent. "Hey, Kyle! How've you been?"

Just then, Evan arrived with Jenny, a Beheeyem, and an older woman Ryan did not recognize in tow. "Evan, Jenny!" Ryan said in surprise. "Heh... Ellen would have loved to be part of this little reunion."

Ryan listened to the exchange between Kyle, Sonja, and the woman -- who revealed herself to be Galactic Admin Jupiter -- with a frown. "A girl with dark powers?" he repeated. The first thing that came to mind was Maddison Hayes... but although Sonja's sister had psychic powers, Ryan wouldn't necessarily call them 'dark.' "Do you have any idea why she would attack Team Galactic?" he asked Jupiter.

IC: Dack

Dack slipped the magma stone into his bag as Cassius talked with the chief. Then he stood up. "If you're wondering about those reports of a Legendary Pokemon, they're true," he said, holding out Heatran's Ultra Ball. The ball was in its translucent mode, and the Lava Dome Pokemon was clearly visible, and clearly still angry, through the capsule. "By the time I arrived, the Heatran had already attacked the Pokemon Center," Dack explained as he pocketed the ball. "Together, we managed to subdue the beast and capture it."

"You were able to capture the Legendary Pokemon?" the fire department chief said, raising an eyebrow. "That's impressive. But do you have any idea why the Heatran would just randomly attack Snowpoint all of a sudden?"

"We were just discussing that," Madison said.

"I could tell yeh who done it," a burly firefighter growled as he approached the group with his Beartic. "Think about it. That avalanche last year... tha' was caused by Team Liberty. Claimed they was tryin' to recruit Regigigas or somethin' -- ended up makin' a big mess o' things."

"Phillips, stop this nonsense!" the chief frowned.

"Jus' put two an' two together," Phillips continued. "Another seemingly natural disaster that was caused by a Legendary Pokemon... I'd be willin' to bet my next paycheck that Team Liberty was behind this!"

"That's enough, Phillips!" the chief barked. "Team Liberty is not responsible for every broken light bulb in your house! Without incriminating evidence, you might as well say the Easter Buneary did it!" Shooing the stubborn fireman away, the chief looked back at Madison. "Now, what were you saying?"

Madison opened her mouth to speak, but Dack interrupted her. "Stark Mountain, sir," he said. "We believe the Heatran wandered here from Stark Mountain."

"And why do you think it did that?" the chief asked.

"Not sure," Dack shrugged. "But we're going to return the Heatran to its proper home."

"And what give you the authority to do that?" the chief asked.

"I don't have my badge with me, but I was -- am -- a Rocket agent," Dack said. That much was true; Dack had never officially quit Team Rocket. "And as a member of Team Rocket, I kindly ask that you leave this situation to us."

"Of course, sir," the chief said, quickly falling into a salute. "I wish you the best of luck."

With a nod, Dack led the group away from the firemen. Once they were out of earshot, Madison spoke up. "Why didn't you tell them about the magma stone?"

Dack made sure no one else was around before answering. "It was too obvious that someone purposely sent the Heatran to Snowpoint. That fireman may have just been spouting off crazy theories, but if word gets out about the magma stone, people will start to connect the dots. They'll think Team Liberty was behind it."

"But what if they were?" Luke asked. "Why should we hide evidence against Team Liberty?"

"Why would Team Liberty attack Snowpoint?" Dack asked. "We're in the middle of a ceasefire. I feel like it's a little too obvious. Someone must be trying to frame Team Liberty for the attack."

"But why?" Madison asked with a frown, trying to reason things out for herself. "If people thought Team Liberty was breaking the ceasefire, then it would paint them in a bad light. If Team Rocket believed the rumors, they'd probably have an attack on Team Liberty, and then..." Madison's eyes grew wide with realization.

"Then the war would start again." Dack concluded grimly.

IC - Jupiter - Four Island: The Galactic Admin shrugged at Ryan's question, looking him square in the eye. "All I know is that she seemed interested in Mars," Jupiter answered. "She said something about Mars 'rejecting her gift,' and then went into a rampage against the entire building."

IC - Van Harrison - Galactic HQ:

'Wait for it...' Van thought, as he seemed to realize why Nidoking was waiting to unleash the attack. It was just a bait for the Illusion Fox. More and more, Nidoking charged, until its entire body was essentially channeling the power of electricity. Nidoking’s heart began racing, in anticipation for its plan. Zoroark began getting closer and closer, while Nidoking stood its ground. ‘Just a bit more...’ Sparks let off from Nidoking's spikes, shooting in multiple directions before quickly dissipating, while Nidoking kept harnessing energy. With the Zoroark closing in, an opening was spotted, and they seized their chance, knowing it may be the last one that they could capitalize on.

"Now!" Van shouted, as the Drill Pokemon quickly obliged, letting loose the stored power, boosted by Sheer Force, the massive bolt heading directly towards Zoroark... And passing right over it. As the beam kept going, Nidoking raised it's injured foot, stomping down as fast and hard as it could, causing Nidoking to exclaim in pain, as a golden light began to trail simultaneously with the Thunderbolt ahead, essentially trapping Zoroark between the two moves. Nidoking, having injured itself from the attack, put itself in a defensive stance as it stepped back, guarding its right leg, just in case.

Van's eyes scanned the situation. Nidoking was weakening, but Zoroark was trapped between the two moves. If Nidoking timed it right, the two moves should end at the same point, meaning there was a small window of opportunity for Zoroark to escape. Van simply hoped that it would be enough, as the stringing of two moves together took a lot out of Nidoking. They had to make this one count, or else it would take a miracle for them to come out the victor.

IC: Evan Tierra, Four Island

"It'd be best if I take Jupiter to Goldhawk and the others now.", Evan said in a serious tone, "I think Jupiter would appreciate me not wasting any more time. Jenny, you can stay here and chat with the others."

With a "follow me" gesture, Evan walked towards Team Liberty's base.

IC: Klim Prizak, Field outside of Goldenrod

Klim stood near where Leviathan had landed, having teleported there with the aid of his power over the Reverse. Klim shook his head at the sight of the once mighty Golurk. His Dusknoir mimicked his motions, his arms across his chest.

"I can honestly say this was probably not the way you were hoping it would end, is it?", Klim said solemnly, "Well, rest well. It's all over now. The fighting is over now."

With that, Klim disappeared with his Dusknoir.......

IC - Kyle Eston/Sonja Baron/Jupiter - Four Island: Sonja, a bit put off by the sudden departure, nevertheless waved good-bye to Evan as he departed with Jupiter. As he disappeared into the Alamo, she looked at the others, clearly concerned. "So, that sounds bad."

Kyle nodded. Watching Evan and Jupiter, he was half-tempted to follow them and hear for himself what, exactly, had occurred--what, exactly, they were likely to be pit up against, if this was truly as grave a matter as the Galactic Admin had implied. Thinking better of intruding, though, he pulled his gaze away from the Alamo and back to the group, doing a quick headcount--himself, Ryan, Sonja, Ray, Jenny...

He shrugged. "Maybe, but we can take it," he replied after a moment. "We beat the Darkrai, after all, right? And they did a lot more than destroy a single base."

"True..." Sonja said, though still seemed unconvinced. "But it's better to be cautious than overconfident--we've dealt with the consequences of ignoring that lesson enough times by now, don't you think?"

As this exchange took place, Ray's communication device buzzed, indicating an incoming message. Opening it, he would see a short message from an unknown address--the only identifier being someone named "Ty"--requesting a one-on-one meeting in the Liberty Graveyard on Four Island.

"Hello.

I will be frank--you do not know me. Even so, I know you, and would like to discuss a matter of importance regarding your family. Please come to the Liberty Graveyard on Four Island at your earliest opportunity. Be sure to come alone--I will not appear otherwise.

And, please--keep this a secret between unknowns; it's in everyone's best interest.

I'll be waiting.

~Ty"

IC - Envy - Galactic HQ: The crackling Thunderbolt soared over Zoroark; out of pure instinct, the Dark-Type dodged to the side, snarling and continuing to run forward. In doing so, however, she had placed herself in the middle of the rebounding attack and the new bolt that was rushing toward her from the front. Surprised by the trap, Zoroark let out a long howl of pain as the electricity coursed through her body, burning and paralyzing her. The light from the attack faded quickly, leaving Nidoking and Van to stare down the injured Pokémon. Zoroark breathed heavily. Claws and muscles visibly twitching, she attempted to walked forward, Envy watching her intently. She managed one step, and then another, her movements quick and uneven, barely maintaining consciousness.

As she took a third step, Zoroark groaned, collapsing first to her knees, and then to the left. The Dark Fox Pokémon had fainted.

Envy had been defeated.

The girl recalled her Pokémon, clapping slowly and deliberately, her gaze set on Van as a powerful wind began to pick up around her. "Congratulations, Van Harrison." She suddenly doubled over, as if a great pain had befallen her. With a sharp gasp of breath, Envy fell to her knees, clutching her forehead. Her symbol had reappeared, glowing a vibrant, sickening green that was bright enough to be seen from Van's position. As he approached, he could feel and hear the rushing wind, even see it as a jagged, black circle appeared around Envy, flecks of shadow cast about into the air as if caught in a tornado. The wind visibly cut at her; random spots on her body seemed to be ground away by the wind in a way reminiscent of sawdust created by sandpaper, her form slowly becoming consumed by the darkness that had empowered her.

"Whatever you want to know... you'd best ask it quickly," Envy warned, face etched with pain despite (or perhaps because of) her attempts to hold off the Claim. "I don't have long to answer..." She grimaced, trying her hardest to maintain eye contact with her former opponent.
