IC- Rex Drake (Goldenrod City):Pokemon didn't lie. It wasn't in their nature to. Sure, they played jokes and scared you when they felt like it, but they never lied. They had their allegiances and they would stick up with them. Rex sighed."I believe you," he said.

IC: Richard and Hades watched as the end of the battle happened before their eyes.

 

"So we have to face the man who defeated a member of the Elite Four... Cool."

 

He stretched for a moment and then said, "Well no use standing around here, we've got a final to win," he began to briskly walk towards the final arena....Win...right, last for about five seconds maybe... Hades muttered following Richard.

 

IC: James shut his laptop and sighed. He knew at the very least cloning was a dead end at the moment. He did not have enough to pitch Executive Vert a successful plan to move her project forward. What he needed was better, more complete information. And preferably without Goldhawk learning of it. Not unless he could come up with a way to both get Goldhawk's support and distract Goldhawk from the Executive's purposes. James moved towards his printer which he had printed off a document.

 

Three bases hold the necessary technology and information to clone. One is the Abyss, a definite no. At this point, we would be lucky to get near those databases without exhausting all our resources. And winning the building through a military victory is virtually impossible. With the added threat of the Darkrai about to be fully realized as well, we can not prepare for a battle for the Abyss. The second is the Chapel, definite no for all the same reasons as Abyss multiplied by a scale of ten. And finally... in the Orange Islands. A more remote research lab, dedicated more fully towards such experiments as cloning. But it is not like either the Chapel or the Abyss. It doesn't have the same defenses, though attacking it is still not the best idea. Especially if Joker was informed. She would figure out my plans, and I would be forced to abandon the mission.

 

This leaves me with two options. A: find some way to take the information from the base without letting Joker be informed... or B: find a clone that was created by Team Rocket and the original who made it...

 

At this thought he put his hand on his head as he tried to clear his mind of Jamie. Flesh and blood was flesh and blood regardless how it happened. As he had no information regarding other clones, "A" was the only option he had.

IC: (Roderick, four island, late afternoon).Fully materializing on four island, Roderick happily noticed that he was getting used to the effects of teleportation. Smiling, he nudged Elgyem to follow him.As he moved through the hallways, Roderick couldn't help but notice how empty they were. There were still some pokémon and some trainers going around... but it felt much more... stale than usual."Guess most of the operatives are out on missons".Turning around a corner, Roderick was able to see the main exit of the base. Going outside, Roderick sat down in tree stump and began working on his report. Mostly detailing the purification progress and other davelopements in Orre (If any)....Finally sending his report, Roderick decided to relax a bit. Sending out His team at the moment (Wattling, Digital, Rampere, Ignight, Elgyem and Blimpy). He dedicated himself to look into his PDA to see if he had recieved any new messages.OOC: Minun, if you want, you can make your move now.IC: (Mina) (Agate town, Early night)Mina sat on a secluded ledge of Agate village. A waterfall fell down with a crashing sound nearby. Above her, stars twinkled endlessly (In her opinion, it was one of the good things about Orre. Being mostly desertic with little light, the stars could be seen very easily). All in all, it was a very beautiful night.And yet... she couldn't enjoy it.With a sigh Mina began to think about the reason if her mood. Roderick was the main focus. She had been flirting with him in these last months. And while it certainly had had effect, Mina felt like something was stopping her.Minutes passed as she turned the issue inside her head, beside her, her Eevee, Luna, nuzzled hertrying to make her feel less uneasy.Finally, after much thought, Mina reached inside her bag and got out a small thing. It was her Rocket Badge. A little dusty for being without use for a couple of months... but still, it still symbolized her pledge to obey Team Rocket.Staring at it for a couple of seconds, Mina's grasp on the little object became tighter and tighter. Until the badge was firmly held on a clenched fist."It's time to end this" She said to no one in particular. To her surprise, and utter fear, someone responded."You are thinking on quitting?" Said a voice right behind her.Looking behind her, she saw Jake. His badge in his hand."I can't vouch for me. But I can tell you want to get out".Mina looked skywards again and simply said "It's not the same anymore. When I joined Team Rocket, it was out of necessity. I had no home, or no friends. I trained hard to become a thief because I didn't like the other misson's of team rocket" She looked back at jake "But now I have friends. And no reasons to stay with the Rockets"Jake thought a little bit before saying "Well, that is all fine an dandy. But how are you going to do about removing yourself. Throwing that badge will not help you out. They have databases of all of us. They could track you down".Mina didn't wait for Jake to speak again "Well then, I guess I will just have to go and erase myself from the files"Jake's eyes widened "Are you crazy, I know I'm not the smartest one in here. But even I know that's suicide"."It's not like we are going to Chapel or Purgatory, there is a smaller base of operation in the Orange Islands. The files are connected, though they are heavily encrypted""You really are that crazy huh?... very well, I'll lend you a hand..." He sighed "Such a great time for Roderick to be away"."We'll just have to make it without him... now, let's go".Some minutes later, the silouethe of an Archeops carying two people in Gateon port's direction could be seen.

IC: Strange ForestThe psychic crouched down near Mewtwo and the others.Mewtwo? How could you possibly be defeated?Chaz grew fearful of those strange... monsters? He telepathically commanded Charizard to be silent and to not attack, knowing full well that his friend would have difficulty with that. He also could sense with rage within his Pokemon; he knew it wanted to fight.Charizard now is not the time...He produced a hyper potion from his bag and offered it up to Mewtwo.Wow I really need to get more healing items next time I stop by a shop. He thought to himself as he noticed he was nearly completely out of supplies.

IC: (Roderick)While seeing his PDA, Roderick heard someone getting closer. He turned back to see a face he was already familiar with.

IC: James had been walking around considering his courses of action. He could not seek the aid of the rest of Liberty in his plan of informational retrieval. At the same time James knew he could successfully take the information by himself. He needed an accomplice. This accomplice had to be someone he knew in Liberty well enough to accept his request for help. He also had to be strong enough not to jeopardize the mission.

 

James found the desired accomplice.He had been walking when his eyes caught the back of the head of one Roderick Krane. James had not seen the Liberty Agent in sometime due to them having split ways at some point, but he knew of his strength and he liked to say that they were close. At least as close as James got to people.

"It's a pleasure to meet you."IC - Gold - Giant Chasm: "Hm... Maybe," Gold said. "You have that Abra, of yours, though, right? I'd imagine it would be strong enough to psychically lower us down--this hill's not that high. And, look." He stooped down at the edge of the wall, pointing to some ledges that jutted out at random intervals. "We could always go from one of those to another and gradually make our way down."IC - Rockets/Mewthree - Strange Forest: There was no need to worry--Mewtwo's regenerative abilities had allowed his body to reform, and as they looked on, keeping an eye on their surroundings, the injured Legendary Pokémon's eyes fluttered open. He still looked battered and tired, probably due to how much energy his Recover had used, though he was still alive. The Genetic Pokémon looked in surprise at the people surrounding him.Who... are you? he asked them, before looking around. Where did those... creatures go?

IC: Ryan/Ellen
As the Liberty trainers took off their various coats and jackets, Ellen sent out her Pokemon. Solo, Terry, and Artemis were glad to be home. Chrono, on the other hand, glanced around, slightly disoriented.

"Oh, I see you've caught a new Pokemon," Ellen's mom said, looking at the Purrloin.

"We found him living on the streets, stealing for food and getting into trouble," Ellen explained. "I couldn't let him keep living like that, so I took him in."

"Well, you'll always be welcome at our house," Mrs. Burks smiled at the Purrloin.

The group sat around the kitchen table, silently sipping on the soup Ellen's mom had cooked. Although the food they had eaten in the Pokemon Centers (and the various cafes they had visited) was good, it had been a while since any of the Liberty trainers had had a home-cooked meal.

They ate in silence for a while before Mrs. Burks spoke up. "So tell me," she asked the Liberty trainers. "What made you decide to travel around the Unova region?"

Ryan glanced at Sonja and Richie, not sure how much they wanted to reveal.

IC: Zac and ShadowsThe two left the center with the samples they had. Now they had to figure out how to get to Johto so they can get to Mahogony town. Since neither knew anything about medical research, so try decided to take the samples to the nurses at one of the Pokemon centers in Johto. If they found a cure, they could reawaken all of Sinnoh, and any other locations that the Darkrai had eclipsed in darkness. It wouldn't make the darkness go away, but it would help awake the Pokemon and people.

[Dr. Hidaka]

IC: Lafoyae Belrose"We are not sure.", Lafoyae said to the Mewtwo telepathically, "We're passengers from the train that crashed. Are you the Genetic pokemon that I heard about?"Lafoyae was trained to be able to identify most legendary pokemon, but she could not recall seeing this one before.......IC: Evan TierraLandorus, Lazengann, and Hippowdon continued to dig, the process seeming to not make a dent in the massive pile of rocks. Evan continued to rest, knowing he may have to help his pokemon. Gnip and Monstro stood by Evan, keeping their eyes alert for any thing that would mean them harm. Vlad continued to rouse the group, his song echoing throughout the cave.IC: Feral Tierra, Ruins of Eterna CityA dark figure crawled out of a hole in a street of the ruined Eterna City. The figure moved drowsily, his pace a bit sluggish, as if he hadn't had a good rest. Then the figure roared loudly, causing a small tremor in the area."That was quite the rest I had.", Feral said, yawning a bit after his roar, "That bird sure put up a good fight!"With that, Feral went into the Eterna Forest. Someone had come close to Eterna City and he had to find whoever it was........

IC: Strange ForestChaz put the potion back in his bag and quietly placed the bag back on his back."We are people that were on the train y'all crashed." He whispered and then added equally quietly. "They left."There was something wrong here. Creatures that were neither human nor Pokemon. Are they aliens like Deoxys? Are they products of science like Mewtwo or Porygon? Chaz had skipped about twenty years, thanks to Celebi, so who knows what he could have missed.

IC: Zac and ShadowsThe two walked out of the town and towards jubilife City as their next stop. This was gonna be a long trip, and their only sense of time was Zac's C-Gear. He wished he got one of his new friend's numbers. Whatever, like it would help.

OOC: Oh. Really? =| Well. Alrighty then, I guess it's over. Also, sorry for short and bad ICs, having to write weekly 750 word responses to a book I can barely stand to read (actually, I can't stand it at all) is really sucking my life force away.IC - Zac Flash, PNT, UnovaZac took the hand and shook. "I'd love a rematch, though, I'm not sure how long I'll be in Unova."

Although I think Richard has been healing, though considering Rest and Recover, that only leaves Erebus unaccounted for.

 

IC: "Quite a variety of interesting events. Our chance to fight the Darkrai is approaching fast, and our fights against Team Energon have increased. That is what I have been involved in since the last time I saw you."

 

James paused for a moment as a thought flashed through his mind.

 

"We have also been looking into projects that will hopefully will help our prospects in the war. Would you like to see what we have done so far?"

 

I may as well ascertain Sir Krane's opinion on this project...

It's... gotten kind of crazy since then, to the point where Team Plasma has become somewhat involved.""That's why we escorted Ellen home," Richie added.There were a number of other things that would probably warrant mentioning later--their being Team Liberty members, their involvement in Castelia and Nimbasa, and whatever else was happening. Those creatures... he said quietly. Tell me... were they not monstrous?This caught them by surprise. "I guess," Ethan said. "We didn't get a very good look at them, to be honest."They are why all of this had to be, Mewtwo said simply. They are... different... IC: "In that case please follow me..." James said turning around with a small grin on his face.

 

James led the other Liberty Agent back to Executive Vert's office.

 

He knocked on the door to the office before asking "Executive Vert, May I come in for one moment? I'd like to show someone the project you have been working on."

 

IC: Jamie somewhat gulped before asking, "And just what is "it"? What is contained here?"

 

She was almost certain she was going to regret learning the answer to the question. Though she knew the dangers of not knowing the answer outweighed her own peace of mind.

 

IC: Richard walked into his own specific waiting room. The announcers apparently wanted the two combatants to wait for one moment so that they could make it look real pretty. Each one being announced in, confetti, fire works and plenty of lights. The general stuff for a final battle of a big tournament. Richard waited practicing one final time for his final song. All three of his Pokemon were taking some last minute rests to try and get ready as best they could for the final battle.

 

"Alright, no more Mr. Nice Bard, we shall win in glory or go down in flames!" he shouted standing up striking a pose.

 

He then looked around for a few moments. Richard saw that he was indeed alone.

 

Well since no one is here to enjoy the performance, I may as well just focus on how I plan to win...

"Team Plasma got involved?" Mrs. Burks said in surprise. "Just who is this guy you're tracking down?"

"He's a criminal," Ryan explained. "He's responsible for a number of crimes, most recently stealing an Oshawott."

"The Sages must be having one heck of a week, given everything that's been going on recently," Mrs. Burks sighed. "Anyway, thank you for bringing Ellen home safely. If you aren't too busy, you're welcome to stay for the holidays."

"Ooh, please do!" Ellen grinned excitedly. "It'll be so much fun!"

Ryan glanced around the room. When no one objected, he nodded. "We can afford to stay for a couple of days. Thank you for opening up your house to us."

"It's my pleasure," Mrs. Burks smiled.

The group continued to chat with Ellen's mom until evening, when Ellen's dad arrived home.

"Daddy's home!" Ellen cried, running up to embrace her father.

Mr. Burks' tired expression immediately turned into a smile when he saw his daughter. "Ellen!" he cried. "How's my little girl? Did you enjoy your journey?"

"Oh, it was an amazing journey!" Ellen grinned. "I never knew the world was so big!"

"Yes, the world is pretty big," Mr. Burks agreed. "But no matter how big it seems, know that this will always be your home." Glancing up, he noticed the group of Liberty trainers sitting around the kitchen table. "Well, it appears we have company," he said in surprise.

"These are the friends I met on my journey!" Ellen said, and she proceeded to introduce each of them. "Mommy said they could stay for Christmas!"

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all," Mr. Burks smiled. "Please, make yourselves at home."

Thought Chaz without noticing his Pokemon were arguing."So where is here exactly?" asked Chaz. "And what are they?"OOC: I think Eevee needs six battle before it evolves and Squirtle needs 4 until I double evolve it with that reward point. No I didn't forget. And Caterpie still needs a lot of battles until it is a Butterfree. And Chaz would have caught his next Pokemon if they were not in some strange world. I was thinking Riolu and later Dratini. Maybe even later he could befriend that Zapdos I made up back when I made up Sam.But honestly I am having trouble thinking how to have Chaz act. His past is so incomplete in his profile and I want to make things up but being painfully cautious I can't decide what is going too far and what is not. Like I was going to eventually have him discover what his disappearance did to his family and maybe have him make a list of all the legends he had met and/or seen. It is just so difficult for me not to idealize and make my characters overly important. And I'm probably giving this way too much thought.

I have made it my mission to ensure Sinnoh stays this way, by any means necessary!"Feral sent out his Excadrill and roared.......OOC: The following was approved by Blade.IC: Evan Tierra, Giant Chasm, five hours laterThings were looking grim. The three pokemon in charge of digging were getting tired, and Evan was losing hope of getting out of here."Guys, stop and rest.", Evan said grimly, "There is no real way out right now.""Ah but there is.", a familiar voice said, "Even in the worst of times, there is always a speck of hope."Evan looked around in surprise. That was Klim Prizak's voice! He had to find out where it was coming from."Don't bother looking for me right now.", the voice said, "There's little time. you MUST get out of here. Something is going to happen, and you will be needed to stop it.""All right guys, you heard him!", Evan said, "We've got work to do! Landorus, Lazengann, Gnip, Hippowdon, Monstro, and Vlad, START DIGGING. As Ellen's parents exited the room, Sonja looked at the rest of her group. "So... I suppose we ought to figure out a way to make this stay a little more productive. Should we contact Ray and the others and figure out a specific time to meet up again?"IC - Rockets/Mewtwo - Strange Forest: Mewtwo was silent for a moment. This is a side-dimension, he responded after a moment. An off-shoot of our own. Empty, save for its prisoners--the Man of Ice, and the other."What is the 'other', though?" Jamie repeated.We have no name for it, Mewtwo answered. It is a creature not of our world--at least, not as we know it. It is... ancient. Alien to us. It terrorized the world long ago, until Arceus managed to imprison it--and wiped away all knowledge of its existence, lest those who would seek its power would attempt to take it under their control. Not even the Legendary Pokémon who are connected to it--who have seen its power first-hand--remember it. We came here to destroy it--and coming here by unconventional teleportation was the only means to do so that would not weaken its containment."How did Ford learn about it, then?" Gavin asked.A whisper, Mewtwo said. A message from Arceus, telling Ford of the impending danger. A lesser being might have ignored the warning. Ford took it to heart, decided to act on it. Mewtwo glanced to the side. We underestimated its potential."Hm..." Gavin leaned back against a tree. "Maybe we should just leave, then, before this gets out of hand.""Hold on," Ethan said. He looked back at Mewtwo. "It sounds like this thing was supposed to be kept alone, but you also mentioned a 'Man of Ice' before. It's a known fact that the Gym Leader Pryce disappeared into another dimension several years ago--a man who specialized in Ice-Types. Is it possible that he made contact with this thing?"Possible--and almost certain, Mewtwo said. The Man of Ice appeared to be in control of the thing's creations. I suspect that his Pokémon provided the material needed to create them.

"In the blue corner, the trainer from out of town who overcame seemingly impossible odds, Zac Flash!" Zac began walking to the field, confetti showering him, and timed lights going off. He was getting pumped.IC - Pierce, Eric, and Juan, Route 42, Johto"Mahogany Town is right there," Eric said. The three had been walking for days now, from Goldenrod. It was an awful trip; Pierce lost a shoe in Ecruteak, so he was travelling lopsided and half-barefoot for about a day; Juan's hair was a mess, and Eric wouldn't stop complaining. "North of the town is the Lake of Rage, and the Rocket Base is near there."
