Favorite Toa

Recommended Posts

Well seeing as there are topics for Favorite Rahkshi Power and Favorite Female Character I thought I would add this.Who is your favorite Toa and why. It could be any Toa, dead or otherwise. My personal Favorite was Toa Metru Nuju. Mainly because I thought he was epic. And the fact that he spoke a Rahi language.

Vakama was the guy who kept me interested in BIONICLE. I joined the fandom during the '04 saga. I loved his story. His lack of confidence as a leader; him blaming himself for Lhikan's death; his attempts to be a leader and failing badly, leading the others into a trap; his struggles with his inner darkness as a Hordika and his fall, before coming to terms with that darkness, embracing merely as another part of himself as he redeems himself, stopping Roodaka. Then came his most awesome moment in Time Trap, where he embraces his darkness to do some morally ambiguous things most Toa won't and, in the climax of the book, blackmail Teridax with the threat of destroying the fabric of time by breaking the Mask of Time.So he's my favourite.

I have a lot of favorites: Nuju, Vakama, Tuyet, Helryx, Varian, and Kopaka.I like Takanuva, but the time I thought he was most interesting was when he was in Karda Nui, half-drained by a shadow leech, trying to keep himself from becoming like the Makuta. Also, Kopaka and Pohatu are the best Toa duo ever. :P

Kopaka is awesome, but pairing him with Pohatu is what truly completes him. I don't have one favorite Toa -- they're a double act and can't be listed without the other.

This. The whole 2004-2005 story is what really brought me into Bionicle. It was that inner struggle of Vakama's that took me from a surface fan to a hardcore fan. However, if I had to pick a favorite toa, it would probably be Matau. Matau from the books, that is. I always enjoyed his humor and to me his reaction to gaining toa powers was the one I accociate with the most. If woke up one day and found out I had super powers, I would probably react like him. As a matter of fact, my original username (The Chute Jumper) was a homage to Matau.-don't touch my pocket protector

Three great comedies at one low, low price....NOTHING!

Three late-middle age matoran think of something they want to do before they kick the bucket.

I've always liked Lewa and Onua, though since I've not read a single book (and I have even less experience with most of '06 onwards) my basis for comparsion is fairly limited.

well my favorite toa is shadow version of kopaka. remember after the toa mata collected all their masks they had to fight shadow versions of themselves. now i would assume that if the toa mata did not win that battle and were killed by their shadow versions that the shadow toa would have survived. If i had to actually choose a regular toa i would choose jovan.

Did they make sets out of the shadow toa? I've never heard of the shadow toa

There were no sets made of the shadow Toa, because they would have simply been the Toa Mata in darker colors. They only showed up in one of the earliest books, after all. I believe they appeared in at least one other form of media, but I can't be sure... I myself was barely a follower of BIONICLE story in 2001....

no they did not make sets of them but i thought this topic was asking your favorite toa not your favorite toa set. that is why i chose shadow toa.

kopaka. he's just so cool and I don't ever remember seeing him lose his temper.

War...war never changes.

We crawl, on our knees for you,
under, a sky no longer blue,
we sweat, all day long for you.

But we sow, seeds to see us though,
cause sometimes dreams just don't come true,
we wait, to reap what we are due.

actually kopaka did lose his anger in the book bionicle legends 2. he lost it during the fight with the voya nui matoran, it was similar to when axxon lost his temper when fighting brutaka and he became like invincible. so yeah he lost his anger once.
