IC Kanohi - Po-Metru

Kanohi raised his hand in a weak fist bump, relieved to no longer be being battered by the winds. He then dragged himself up, only to spot Toa Nale. “Oh, excuse me, Toa,” he said with a bow, before scuttling over to open the outside of the airship. He hesitated as he opened the door and let down the ladder, looking back at them. Was something wrong? Then again Kanohi had never been good at reading others, maybe he was projecting his own insecurities. After all, Toa Nale was a Toa hero.

Then a few moments later he asked, “um, I was a bit exhausted, don’t think I heard you right. Did you say someone was undead? Like … they were wearing a Mask of Undeath or they were being puppeted by a Tyrna user?” Neither Mask was common in Metru-Nui, at least he hadn’t thought so.

IC: reliable narrator, Le-Metru

"Wow, you're big," said a precocious Le-Matoran as Zataka watched Sans walk away. "You're not a street wise local are you?"
She looked up and saw him leaning on the third story railing of his apartment's fire escape. For her, she could jump and snatch him off his perch. His arms dangled over the rail, a small cigar shoved between the fingers of his right hand. His noble mask of telekinesis was a darker green than the rest of his armor, with the telltale silver paint on the top to signify its powerlessness.
"I'm Orhkam by the way. Need directions somewhere sweetheart?"

IC: Kal - Temple Assault

Oreius grabbing the hilt of Kal's sword was met with a hard jostle, throwing off the toa's aim and redirecting the blade into Kal's gut. The titan grunted, his eyes seething, and with his opponent's blade stuck, Kal swiftly raised his fist to deliver a hefty blow to the toa's noggin.

Meanwhile, the two growths on the titan's back continued to expand and shift, metallic blades emerging out of the crimson flaming mass, red hot at first before cooling into a shimmering white metallic.

IC: Arkius - Po-Metru

Arkius went in for another blow. And another. And another. Even if every attack was dodged or parried, Arkius simply kept coming. Every nerve was on fire right now, his face felt like it was going to explode, and his eyes were strained to their absolute limit as he looked for any opening in the opponent's defense. Any twitch, any attack, any false move, anything that he could exploit or counter to gain the upper hand. He needed to keep going, needed to defeat this opponent, needed to put him down. WHY COULDN'T HE HAVE STAYED DEAD?!

The earthen toa roared out of frustration as he went in for yet another attack, only for a gale force sandstorm to engulf him and his opponent.

IC: Ardoku - Temple Assault

The intrepid medic would find the missing arm right where he'd forgotten to look, held weakly under the elbow of his patient's other arm.

IC: Raz - Coliseum

Raz laughed lightheartedly, as if they genuinely found the situation amusing. There was no derision or sarcasm to the laughter, only a gentle mirth. "Oh, no, I'm sorry, this isn't going to work, this is too important to pass through a channel like this."

IC: Leonn - Po-Metru (Doing His Job)

Having taken advantage of the chaos ensuing, the jungle green Skakdi's fingers raced across his IStone, pressing out a text message that was concise as he could get it whilst still being legible. Takadox needed to know the info he'd learned as soon as possible.

"Dume dark hunters new target. Advise on next move?"

He crouched behind a sculpture, breathing heavy as the text sent.

IC: Kovac Krossfari - Coliseum (Arrived)

The Toa's breath was heavy as his feet slowed, near the entrance of the coliseum. He wasn't sure he'd made it in time.

...

Stumbling into the coliseum, Kovac Krossfari had arrived.

IC: Vyarik/Revenant - Po-Metru

Block, parry, dodge.

The movements were as much muscle memory as they were collective recollection. Fragments of armour and pieces of flesh splintered away as the Toa's sheer strength, speed, and apparent desperation allowed some of his blows to slip through the Revenant's careless, uncoordinated defences.

It recognised, though didn't entirely understand, the emotions plain on the Toa's face. He hated the Revenant. He wanted to destroy it, despite being content to ignore it earlier. He had chosen to make himself a threat, and now he would have to be dealt with accordingly.

As the pseudo-storm swept in around the dueling duo, the Revenant made its move. As Arkius' axe swept in for another savage strike, the Revenant moved to block the blow... only to shift its arm at the last moment, allowing the axe to bite into its armoured forearm, carving through the armour and meat to strike bone.

The Revenant exerted its new powers, turning its own metallic components into a massively powerful magnet. The intention was to prevent the Toa from pulling his weapon free... and leave him unable to retreat from the Revenant's other sword, which was now spearing towards the Toa's throat with speed-disk-assisted swiftness.

IC [Zataka, Le-Metru]:

Zataka had stopped listening before the mental reply had been fully uttered. She briefly contemplated stalking after the Turaga, but decided such a pursuit on foot was beneath her. But she was now positive he and his allies were hiding something and that they were heading for the Coliseum. Good-natured or not, she knew when someone was deflecting.

She watched the giant leave, when another voice spoke up. A real one this time, coming from above. Her cerulean eyes met Orkham’s as she turned towards him, very deliberately.

“They call me Zataka.” she said. And nothing else. It was an introduction, but with a warning undertone. The irreverence was...unfamiliar.

“And no, unless there is a faster way back to the Coliseum than the chute. The great disks have apparently been found.”

IC: Jabali - The Coliseum

And, there!

She'd been relieved when the Vahki let her through; apparently, either her position or her dire warning did indeed carry some weight here. The Po-girl had marched inside as quickly as she could without actually running, which would have felt improper in such an important place. She was here now, with specific destination in mind, and her journey had been a quick one; and, with a little luck, she had made it before any of the Dark Hunters who were after the revered Turaga's head. Her gaze, behind silver Miru, cast around in search of the visitor centre... only to settle on something even better.

A Toa, of lightning by the looks of him, seemed to have just entered from a different doorway. Vahki were all well and good, of course. But if you needed to get something important done, Toa were always the ones to turn to if they were around. Waving, again, for attention, the Overseer changed direction to approach the blue-armoured hero instead.

"Sir! Excuse me, Toa! Turaga Dume's in danger; the Dark Hunters have broken their alliance, you need to keep them away from him!"

Giving orders to a Toa, for the second time in a day? Really smooth, Jabali.

This time, though, she didn't let embarrassment silence her, knowing how important her warning was. Important enough, apparently, to be shouting it across the room for all to hear... another move that was, perhaps, not the smartest idea she'd ever had.

@Dane Jabali is approaching Kovac

(ooc: Just a very quick post that I wanted to get in before heading off for the night! Will post as Zecrillia tomorrow.)

IC: Rose - Jungle with Skyra

The Toa of Fire immediately scooped Skyra up once she knew she was okay, and started moving away from what was once a tree (now split open and scattered around the pair) towards...somewhere, trying to find another, safer spot. Rose started swearing again and it turned into indistinct grumbles as she glanced back and forth. It made sense war would be the thing that interrupted a moment like that...

She moved deeper into the jungle surrounding the temple, before coming to a stop and crouching, Skyra still in her arms. If anything else were to happen, Rose was prepared to use her own body as a shield. "These ##### League brakas and their grumble grumble Mata Nui grumble..."

IC: Nale Vella and Jutori - Po-Metru

Jutori boarded the airship with some help from Stannis, taking notice of a nearby shockwave as Arkius shot off after the undead Vyarik. "What's that about? Wasn't that one of your allies?"

Meanwhile aboard the Taku, Nale turned to Kanohi to answer his question, but didn't seem to have an answer. She was familiar with the Tryna and what it could do, less so with the Mask of Undeath, but neither seemed to fit what had taken place to change the Dark Hunter like that. The Fa-Toa frowned. "I'm...not quite sure, Kanohi. I think that was something far different. Something...darker."

IC [Zataka, Le-Metru]:

The titan took one step forward, then pushed off. The leap was too fast for the Matoran. Before Orkham could react, she’d caught the fire escape level above him with her right and his cigar with her left, hanging just inches away from his face. “That’s bad for your health.” She crushed the cigar between her index finger and thumb. He started to look nervous, but to his credit, he didn't back away.

With her now free hand, Zataka reached into her coat and pulled out a small bag. The noise of widgets clacking together was unmistakable. “Half now. Half when we get there.”
Orkham mustered his courage and shook his head. “Oh no, sister. Pay up front or walk. Take it or leave it.”

She smiled. It wasn’t friendly.

“I’ll take it.” And then, with her mask active: :Out back, you said?:

The realization of what was happening sunk in, but there was nothing the Matoran could do. His thoughts went to his personal airship, tethered to the other side of the building, and showing his passenger exactly where to find it.

The next instant, Zataka had pulled herself up the fire escape. He rushed to the railing, leaning out and looking up, just in time to see her silhouette against the strange sky disappear over the edge of the roof.

“Hey!” he shouted, then turned and ran back inside and through the flat, emerging on the far side. The warrior had already dropped down from the roof again and was in the process of boarding the craft. Despite being made for Matoran, there was enough space for her to fit - as long as she put the pilot’s seat all the way down. It wasn’t designed for it. She made it work. The key was just where she’d seen Orkham leave it on the dash in his thoughts. The ship hummed to life, just as its owner managed to throw himself in the backseat, barely making it past the closing door. His confident look was gone by then.

“My seat! Do you even know how to fly one of these!?”

The response was Zataka pulling the ship away from the flat and steeply arcing up. The Matoran fell back in the rear. Banking, she briefly spotted the giant form of the Turaga walking down below. With a smirk, she leveled out. Looking around the controls, she spotted a button she previously hadn’t noticed.

:What’s this one for?:

His eyes widened.

“Ah, thanks.”

A sudden burst of acceleration rocked the airship and the Coliseum ahead started to become rapidly larger. Very rapidly.

Several frantic moments later, they gently touched down at the top of the stairs leading to the Coliseum’s main entrance. Zataka popped the door open and got out, long legs sliding out first. Behind her, Orkham clamored over the ruined seat to check the damage to his ship. He didn’t notice the Vahki outside closing in around the craft. The lead unit stepped up to the titan. “This is a no-parking zone.”

She jerked her chin towards Orkham. “Tell that to the owner.”

The Matoran’s head spun around. “Wait, what?”

But all he could see was Zataka's back as she walked through the main entrance without another look back.

OOC: Big, scary lady spotted at Coliseum.

IC: Idlyx Haeve - Ga-Metru to the Coliseum

Continuing on, Idlyx decided to exit this district and not leave this job, this assassination of a political leader, up to his comrades. He wanted it. He'd take it. Another notch to his belt. And there was no guarantee they wouldn't screw it up somehow.

He headed for the Coliseum.

***

A Dark Hunter with antlers limped through the streets leading towards the Coliseum. Whether any of his allies--or Kovac--had made it here before him, Idlyx didn't know, but the thought of getting to off a powerful man like Dume was far too tempting. The timing of the liaison made getting inside the Coliseum without the Vahki (or anyone, really) giving him a second look child's play. No need to be too stealthy, but it made him wonder if the two events were related: Metru Nui forges an alliance with the Dark Hunters (essentially allowing them free reign of the City of Legends) right before a hit goes out to kill the man who runs the place?

Too convenient, he thought.

Along the way he'd heard news of airship crashes, the dead rising, general end-of-the-#####-world-type stuff. Didn't bother him. Nothing can exist without an end--Idlyx just helped everyone get to it faster. Those who had the misfortune of dying at his hands should have been thankful, if anything. And they'd be thankful when he killed the most powerful man in Metru Nui and brought the island closer to the brink of ruin. This place was becoming more and more unstable with each passing day, while a bloody war raged at its doorstep. Nothing was meant to last.

He entered the impressive building, giving a mock-salute with his bladed gauntlets to any Vahki guards who saw him, a weaken disk already loaded into his launcher. Taking down the old Turaga should be relatively simple, he thought. Get in, get out. There was, unfortunately, a snag.

Kovac was here. Always a variable.

Idlyx sneered at the Toa from a distance. He hadn't noticed him yet. Should he kill the man? No, too much attention. And as he looked a Matoran walked up to Kovac, clearly distressed, and the perfect distraction he needed, although he didn't know what they were saying. Surely nothing to be concerned about, he thought.

The Hunter slipped past the Vo-Toa and headed in the direction he assumed lead to Dume's office.

Even with the liaison, he hoped the sight of a giant, limping deer-man wasn't too conspicuous.

IC Kanohi - Po-Metru

Kanohi paused, hesitating. Finally he said “I … on my island, there was a legend Turaga Bomahri told us. About a star in the sky that was bright red. The Red Star. He said that’s where Matoran went when they … passed away. And that if their destiny was not yet fulfilled, the Red Star would send them back to the universe. I know the skies are no longer red like they were, but … do you think the red sky was connected to that person coming back to life? Sorry I did not overhear everything, who was it who passed away? It … it wasn’t Toa Stannis, was it?

"No, no. Stannis...he's fine. It was a Dark Hunter, the one who'd been chasing us. As for the sky..."

Nale remembered something the old Toa himself had said to her some time ago--perhaps he'd been referring to this "Red Star" Kanohi mentioned.

"...Mata Nui works in mysterious ways."

IC: Skyra - Being princess carried -

Skyra was quiet as Rose carried her off, other than the occasional grunts and winces of pain. It was a shame that her question had been interrupted but what could you do right?

"Couldn't wait to get me in your arms again eh?" She grinned briefly, the pain she was in made it a little hard to keep it however...she really needed a medic...

IC: Vashni - Po-Metru -

Vashni parked her bike inside the cargo hold of the airship. She was eager to get to Turaga Dume and hopefully get some actual answers to all the insanity that had been happening.

IC: Rose and NPC Medic - Jungle with Skyra

The Ta-Toa smiled briefly at the fact Skyra was still flirting with her despite the chaos around them, but they still needed help...

"Oh for the love of--CAN WE GET A MEDIC OVER HERE?"

A Toa with a satchel, wearing a Kanohi that by its shape appeared to be a Mask of Healing, approached them cautiously--apparently worried about getting sniped even here in the jungles away from the ruins. His armor was all-white and he had symbols of crimson crucifixes painted onto his shoulderpads poorly, as if it had been done in haste. A similar cross adorned his forehead.

"I-I'm a medic. I was...trying to stay away from the fighting, but..."

"Whatever," Rose said, carefully laying Skyra at his feet. "Just help her," the Toa of Fire pleaded.

The nervous healer nodded fervently, and asked the Toa of Air, "What seems to be the problem here, miss?"

"Broken rib...okay, I can do something about that."

The medic placed a hand on Skyra and activated his Mask of Healing, an intense glow coming from it, and the Toa of Air could feel her injury start to heal. Rose stood by, watching over the two in case anything happened. Soon, any pain Skyra felt had faded.

"There--how's that?" The medic asked, taking his hand off of her. He reached into his satchel and searched for something. "I think I have uh, lollipops somewhere in here, if you'd like one..."

"Thanks, doc! You're a real one! An angel, a saint--"

"--and I'll have broken ribs too if you don't--please!--put me down, firespitter."

Rose dropped the medic with an "oops, sorry" and turned to Skyra. "I uh...I'm so glad you're okay now. Do you wanna go back in there and kick more #####?" She asked, before looking away sheepishly and continuing with, "Or maybe we could...talk s'more..."

The medic was currently checking himself to make sure Rose hadn't done any permanent damage with her thank-you hug. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I guess. I have a name by the way, it's Triage--"

Rose raised her hand to the medic to make him go silent. "Yeah, yeah, doc," she said. "Go see if anybody needs help finding a leg or something, K?" Triage sighed and walked away, clutching his satchel close and muttering something about medical professionals not getting enough praise.

Rose turned back to Skyra. "So...anyways," she said gesturing to a nearby (not destroyed by rocketfire) tree. "Wanna sit down?"

Rose followed and, realizing her suit would get in the way and not wanting to do anything to jeopardize this moment, she removed it. Plates of armor pulled back and reconnected into the form of a large suitcase, revealing her more form-fitting armor underneath and, more importantly perhaps, her muscular body. For peace of mind she took the firework revolver from its compartment and holstered it before sitting down as close as possible next to Skyra--still larger than her, even outside of the advanced and bulky mechsuit.

"S-so...uh...we haven't died yet."

IC: Skyra - Jungle -

Skyra watched as Rose removed her suit, she'd never actually seen Rose without it before. The muscular Rose had were rather impressive, but you'd need them to operate a bulky suit like that. In comparison Skyra was a skinny little thing. Not that she was weak or anything, but instead of having raw strenght, she was gifted with extreme agility and nimbleness.

"Yeah, honestly I'm a little surprised I haven't kicked it yet. And I'm pretty sure so are a lot of other people." It hadn't escaped the Toa of Air's notice that she tended to be rather reckless in battle, but that was just how she was. "Guess I'm just that good~"

OOC: All of these are Reliable Narrator :P

IC: Ga-Metru

As Kohara beckoned for Nixie and Vhisola to follow her behind the underwater temple spires, the inky blackness of the inside of the ruined temple showed signs of movement. Dark tentacles reached out, feeling the current, stretching out and twisting back. The tentacles wrapped around the entrance to the temple, pulling the horrific undulating leviathan’s blinking opalescent eye, collar, olfactory crest with a kanoka disc stuck in it, and mantle out into view. The monster’s fin still rested somewhere inside the temple. It’s dark pupil contracted, focusing in the direction of where Kohara hid. It didn’t make sense, the lines of sight were blocked by sunken religious architecture. Then she realized she shouldn’t be able to see at this depth in the darkness of the false night. Vhisola’s lightstone gave them away. The leviathan squid lunged toward the stone where Kohara hid, seeking the source of the illumination.

Vhisola panicked, dropped the lightstone, and began swimming for the surface. The lightstone began sinking toward the seabed. She already nearly died once today. Seeing the monster of her nightmares for the second time in two weeks reminded her she liked living. No disc was worth the price of her life.

IC: Barraki Fortress

Takadox got a message from his spy right when he most wanted one. After reading what Leonn sent, Takadox pondered his answer. After a glass of his favorite craft distilled spirits, the warlord typed out a few words and sent them off to his liaison in the City of Legends:

“Let them. Where’s Nidhiki?”

Carapar waited in his personal quarters for Mazor to visit. He wanted to see what this silver cube could do before Pridak swooped in and took his new occult toy.

IC: Coliseum

Raz’s voice didn’t pass through the thick curtain into the rest of the hall, but he did hear the slightest echo as it bounced back through the small partition to the adjacent booth with the vahki.

“What do you mean this isn’t going to work?” Came the aged voice of Turaga Dume through the audio output of the vahki in the confidential reporting booth. His frustration was evident for anyone with the basest sense of empathy. “I appreciate your desire for direct communication Dark Hunter, but this is what I can do right now. My schedule today does not allow me the liberty to leave my office and have a chat in person. So please, explain the reason why you needed to speak on such short notice with me directly. Did your Master find the item I requested?”

Happy chat.

IC, Kohara: Ga-Metru

A squid. A really, really big squid, Kohara thought to herself. Seems to focus on light. Luckily, I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

The Toa focused her elemental energies and conjured a large disc of light off about 20 yards to the group’s left side. But that wasn’t all. Being a former Toa of Water, Kohara had gotten to know much about the behavior of sea creatures. She knew that there were even some that could change color rapidly to mesmerize their prey.

And so, keeping that in mind, in the center of the glowing disc a dimmer, bluish spot formed, and began fanning out in a ring toward the edges of the disc. As soon as it ended, another ring formed. And another, and another.

Kohara hoped the cephalopod would be entertained enough with the light disc, and so she started slowly swimming in a counterclockwise path toward the Rahi.

IC: Reliable Narrator, Ga-Metru

Kohara’s mirage on the ocean floor captured the squid’s attention the same way a cuttlefish would hypnotize their prey. Several smaller fish swam towards the ring of light, others darting away from their secret sleeping holes when the bright hypnotic effect appeared. The squid floated through the currents toward the light, tapping the boundary of the light with its tentacles. As it did, Kohara got a glimpse of the creature’s maw. Where she expected a beak, the squid had several barbed and serrated teeth surrounding a circular opening. A tongue with suction cups lolled out to one side, and then Kohara realized she was about to see the squid in action. It’s tentacles went wide, then dove for the ring of light, striking into the ocean floor and sending up plumes of sand. Its tongue lashed forward, body pulling into the zone of the catch, barbed teeth closing around nothing. With a frustrated blowing of bubbles into the water the gigantic squid began slowly circling the central temple complex, agitated and alert.

Happy chat.

IC, Kohara: Ga-Metru

Well that definitely got it up and moving.

Kohara swam carefully around, and came to rest on a nearly complete pillar. The next phase of her plan would require careful timing and precision.

As before, she would create another flashing circle of light, a little of a distance out from where she was. But not too far out. She needed it to be close enough, for when the squid attacked the light, she would shut it off, turn invisible, and make a dash for the disk stuck to the squid, hoping her shapeshifted form would provide her with enough speed to swoop in and grab the disk as she passed over the squid

Kohara concentrated, creating the circle of light, ready to carry out her plan...

IC: Kovac Krossfari - Coliseum

A Matoran stopped him in his tracks. This wasn't the time. This was nowhere near the time.

The Shadow of Metru-Nui looked back, not wanting to have to deal with this clearly distressed Matoran, but understanding that was his duty as a Toa. His comprehension of this was what made him different from the growing pile of pretenders in the city.

"I am aware." He replied, gravely. "Allow me past, little one, I may be too late."

IC: Leonn - Po-Metru (Recieving new orders)

He scratched his nose, still oblivious to the chaos happening around him.

"Unknown. What is relevance? Also, position with rogue Dark Hunter group may be compromised."

IC: Rose - Jungle with Skyra

"Heh. I'd say you are..."

Rose looked up at the tree canopy, and the light filtering through it as it seemed to form a spotlight on her and Skyra as they sat together. Some leaves fell around them in what felt like slow-motion (probably shaken by the nearby fighting) and, if there hadn't been a war going on just outside the jungle the setting would have been almost perfect. Almost.

The Toa of Fire looked back at her companion. Truth be told she found her awful cute, but wasn't sure if those feelings had arose on or off the battlefield. "I think I'm just too ##### stubborn to bite it, honestly," Rose continued with a laugh. "Too many brakas that need their heads stomped in out there. And...well..."

She wasn't sure how to say the next part.

"...there's...people I care about now. Before I thought I'd lost everyone who mattered to me, but now I know I was wrong. There's someone I've...taken a shine to, I think."

IC: Okuo - Ga-Metru

Okuo turned invisible. He began slowly to approach the squid, keeping an eye out for the best angle to come at it from. Wary of its quick movements, Okuo made sure not to get too close until he was sure it was stationary, even for a moment. Then he went in. Both arms sweeping, both legs kicking, all in a sequential unison as he now fully recalled how to swim. He had to be quick. Get in, grab the disk, get out.

IC: Raz - Coliseum

"Yes. Now, you say you're stuck in your office like it's a bad thing, but really, that might just be the perfect place for this meeting. I'll be right over, if you don't mind?" Raz's voice was gentle and genuinely friendly, no facade put on by the Dark Hunter.

IC: Arkius - Po-Metru

As much strain as Arkius' body was under, he found himself now at a particular zenith.

All around him swirled an aspect of his element, the sandstorm clung to him and his enemy like an oddly coarse liquid, particles of sand in contact with the both of them at every moment. And by focusing on all of that sand, Arkius could not only see his opponent's movements, but feel every motion with perfectly clarity. With a deft duck under the revenant's blade, Arkius took his free hand and went in for a megaton punch to the gut, all the while keeping the former Vyarik close by holding tight onto the axe.

Tallea - Metru Nui - Po-Metru

IC: What would have been a possibly tense and hours long explanation, fraught with misunderstandings was resolved in about two seconds thanks to the psionic in the group. Tallea's questions were answered and everyone could get on with their tasks. Unfortunately while that had been going on the newly risen revanant had decided to rip all the speed disks out of both vahki transports...and then left them behind.

Hmmmmm.

They would all have to travel on the Taku now. It was unfortunate considering the fact that the ship was still wanted in all likelihood. However, as both ground transports were now scrap it opened several new options that might help mitigate that issue. So as everyone else loaded on the cargo ship Tallea quickly gathered up the disks and a choice collection of salvage from the pair of ground bound wrecks.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

IC: Tekmo (Silver Sea, Temple Assault)

Tekmo charged Kal while his back was turned with his shield and a lance made from a sturdy wooden branch he generated from his powers.

IC: Ostrox (Barraki Fortress)

"I would think that the commands of our Lords override anything we desire. Lord Carapar desires the artifact, hence, you must give it to him. Preferably soon." Admittedly, Ostrox didn't care much for Carapar, but as long as Mantax was part of the League, then so was Ostrox, and the artifact would be delivered, even if he had to deliver it personally. Without Mazor.

IC: Sans, Le-Metru

Sans had said goodbye to the blue-and-gold titan, but a minute later, he saw her piloting some craft that zoomed past his head before disappearing into the horizon.  If this newcomer was intent on having a conversation with Sans, it seemed like she'd get her chance, as they both appeared to be headed to the same place.  So Sans kept his stride, and before long, he carried his companions to the gates of the Colosseum.

IC: Sans, Colosseum

Sans had seen many sights across the universe in his lifetime.  He'd witnessed some Vortixx climb their malicious Mountain, he'd overseen some refugees arriving on the dirty island of Stelt, he'd even seen some sorry Toa doing the absolute minimum to involve himself in his Matoran village's lives back on the Northern Continent.  But one thing he had never seen, was the Colosseum.  Everywhere, people spoke of its grandeur.  Finally seeing it up close and in person, Sans thought the stories didn't do it justice.  "And I get to see it on the inside, huhuhuhuhu."  Sans shrunk down and lowered the three Ko-Matoran to the street level, in front of the bridge gate.  An armored Vahki approached the group.  "Hello, officer.  We have urgent business with Turaga Dume.  It concerns the Great Disks."

IC: Skyra - Jungle -

Skyra nodded solemnly as Rose explained her situation. She had people she cared about, makes sense. And someone she was taking a shine to, very nice.

Wait a minute...

Despite being the flirt that she was, Skyra wasn't used to being on the receiving end of it. It didn't take much to realize who Rose was most likely referring to. "I-Is that so? Well whoever that person is, is pretty lucky."

IC: Vyarik - Po-Metru

The fist struck the Revenant's gut with a resounding crunch, crumpling his armour like a tin can and horrifically rupturing whatever intact organs he had left down there. Against a living being, it would have been an excruciating blow, but the Revenant did not scream or stumble. It simply stared at Arkius with empty, dispassionate eyes.

It did not want to kill the Toa. Indeed, it didn't want much of anything. But this Toa had chosen to attack it, without purpose or provocation, and now it had no choice.

Maintaining its magnetism to keep Arkius' hands trapped, the Revenant snapped its head forward and brought up its right leg, in an effort to headbutt Arkius in the face and knee him in the gut simultaneously. Still imbued with the power of the speed disks, its every movement was obscenely swift, and even damaged, its form still possessed considerable strength.

IC: Rose - Jungle with Skyra

"You think so?" she asked. "I think I'm the lucky one."

Rose debated whether now would be the time to tell Skyra the truth: that the person the Ta-Toa spoke of was her. Was it too soon? She looked the Toa of Air in the eyes, and the blazing blue seemed as fiery as ever, and she opened her mouth to speak and began to form words and her heartbeat sped up. "Skyra..."

"...we should probably go back and help the others now, before they think we've deserted or...ran away together or something..."

IC: Skyra - Jungle -

"Skyra..."

To say that Skyra's heart was beating was an understatement. In all honestly Skyra had been flirting with Rose and teasing her because she found her to be pretty cute, but she hadn't expected that Rose might like her in that way as well. What were the odds of that happening in a middle of a war like this!? The Toa of Air struggled to come up with a possible response in her head, she'd never gotten this far before and wasn't sure what to do. Mata Nui what even came after flirting!? She had no idea...like-

"...we should probably go back and help the others now, before they think we've deserted or...ran away together or something..."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"Oh! Right! You're right weshouldreallygetbackshouldn'twe!?" Skyra scrambled back to her feet, feeling more than well enough to engage in combat once more. No doubt her face was flushed, but she tried not to make it obvious as she checked herself and went over her weapons briefly. Yep, they were all still there, save for a few throwing knives. Yep yep yep, all was good. Yeah...

-AAAAAAAA!
