"Energy... Rest..." Matoro G2

Sort of a continuation of my previous G2 style revamps of G1 characters, I recently have mostly wrapped up work on Matoro. I decided to goof around a bit on some photo editing software, sort of recreating the scene from MNOG where Matoro rescues Takua from the Ko-Koro ice drifts... Imagine this as the Gen 2 version of that scene I guess. Ultimately I am not totally satisfied with the finished look. The only backdrops I had on hand were black and white polystyrene; and Matoro's predominately white color scheme with black CCBS bones was always going to mess with that in trying to 'cut out' the character from the backdrop; so if a few parts look wonky in the above photos that is why. Only thing I really want to improve on the MOC itself is to replace the brick built flag parts with a traditional banner piece to make it look smoother. Anyways, here are some photos of the MOC without any attempt at editing:

This seems like a decent ccbs interpretation of the character. I'm not totally sure about the colors though.

I like the inclusion of the flag, I was going to comment on it even before I read your text. But as you said, an actual flag piece on the end might serve you better.

All it needs are blue versions of the G2 Akaku and foot pieces. Other than that, it is quite accurate.
