Mesonak
Topic no longer updated, please be sure to follow our channel linked to in our ReBrick Page for all future episodes. Thanks BZP, it's been great. Make sure to keep following our content, because we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.THE THREE VIRTUES REBRICK PAGE-@thethreevirtuesHello BZPower members, this is Mesonak, here to bring you...-'As a preface to the actual topic, I'd like to let you all know that our methods of releasing episodes nowadays (posting them on ReBrick, as well as the methods by which they are viewed on ReBrick) has gotten staff approval. Just letting you all know!-That's right everyone, TTV has returned... again. I sincerely apologize for letting our previous topic die; the holidays threw off our schedule, causing us not to be able to release episodes, and as such, not able to garner feedback. However, we're back once more, with a plethora of new episodes (all from our Christmas Special). Go take a listen!-A quick forewarning; if you decide to listen to our episodes, don't get turned off by the first couple. The quality of our podcast has improved drastically over time. Enjoy!-What is The Three Virtues? It's an on-going podcast, by members, for members. It's the successor to iBZP, the original Independent BIONICLE Zone Podcast, created by now-second-in-command Varderan. iBZP was originally created by Varderan as a means of providing a form of entertainment for us and the fanbase at large that not only featured discussion on ongoing events surrounding BIONICLE, but also BZPower and the current events in the community. After BIONICLE's unfortunate end, discussion of its successor, Hero Factory, was also added to our plate of topics.-iBZP thrived for a while, but never really reached its potential popularity wise. Due to various issues, Varderan eventually resigned from his position as Main Host, handing the job over to me. I decided to carry out a plan Var was going to go through with regardless; rebrand the podcast under a different name, The Three Virtues, and revamp the content, hosts, and overall quality of the podcast. -That plan has paid off in the long run; before BZPower's downtime, TTV was thriving. When BZPower went down for six months, production of the weekly episodes (as well as the mid-week BioTalk) reached an understandable standstill. Now that BZP is back, we hope to continue with our regularly scheduled podcast and bring you the same quality of entertainment that we used to deliver. We hope you'll join us for the ride.- -The TTV Crew -Episodes:iBZP Topic: Contains episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 13 of iBZP.Episode 1: I think you mean WHAT'S UPEpisode 2: George Lucas Is Not AmusedTTV Library Interview: Lady Kopaka (Part 1)Episode 3: The Brickfair Mosaic ProjectEpisode 4: Your Mom Is My HeroEpisode 5: Bioni-School MusicalTTV Library Interview 2: RepicheepEpisode 6: LAST NIGHT LAST NIGHTEpisode 7: Fur EliseTTV Special - The Price Of A PencilTTV Special - Legend Reborn CoverageEpisode 8: All That Saucy GoodnessTTV Special - MakutaFest 2010Episode 9: Bleach Is Not TastyTTV Special - Leigh Gallagher InterviewEpisode 10: Why Can't We Be Friends?Episode 11: All Hallow's EveTTV Special - Comic Maker Interview 1: KahinuvaEpisode 12: When The Main Hosts Are AwayEpisode 13: Bloody MurderEpisode 14: POWERTHIRST 3: 80 SECONDS EDITIONEpisode 15: Limbs of Rigor MortisEpisode 16: YEEEEEEEEAAAHEpisode 17: Light Mirror"TTV Special - MOCist Interview 2 - The OptimistTTV Special - MOCist Interview 3 - VampireBohrokEpisode 18: STABSTABSTABTTV Biotalk Episode 1: Morally Incorrect (Currently not available)TTV Biotalk Episode 2Episode 19: New Year's SpecialTTV Special - Comic Maker Interview 2 - Lavaside RahiTTV Special - Comic Maker Interview 3 - NuparurocksEpisode 20: It's Makuta Jetbug!!TTV Special - MOCist Interview 4 - ~Felix the Cat~TTV Speical - Randy Elliot InterviewTTV Special - MOCist Interview 5 - BallomTTV Special - Comic Maker Interview 4 - Dark709Episode 21: I Just Swallowed My GumTTV Special - Ordeal of Fire CoverageTTV Special - MakutaFest 2011Episode 22: The Digital Media ChefsTTV Special - New Years 2012TTV Special - Comic Maker Interview 5 - TavakaiEpisode 23: The Episode With No NameTTV Special - Toy Fair 2012 CoverageEpisode 24: Thornraxx: Forever Alone in EuropeEpisode 25: Oil-BurgersEpisode 26: Inb4 "Nope"TTV Special - Comics Contest CoverageEpisode 27: Money TreeEpisode 28: Smear the Blood of the FruitEpisode 29: Eljay - Master of the TideEpisode 30: Blade Edge CurveTTV Special - Comic Makter Interview 7 - CyberKNEpisode 31: You Can Do It!Episode 32: Two Birds With KnivesEpisode 33: Wolverine PublicityEpisode 34: Before Hero Factory, There Was EarthEpisode 35: A Rollercoaster Ride of Flavor!TTV Special - Comics Contest Coverage #2Episode 36: God-Mods and GophersEpisode 37: Dreaming of CrossbowsTTV Special - MakutaFest 2012Episode 38: French Hicks and Achy-Breaky BricksEpisode 39: Birthday EditionEpisode 40: Episode Name Copyrighted by VarderanEpisode 41: Let Me Swallow This CakeEpisode 42: The Red Star Zombie MakerTTV Special - Debate Corner - BIONICLE Story RevelationsEpisode 43: Uber Haxor Brute Shot-Advent Calendar Review Part 1 - Comics #1 - #5 Advent Calendar Review Part 2 - Comics #6 - #10 Advent Calendar Review Part 3 - Comics #11 - #15 Advent Calendar Review Part 4 - Comics #16 - #20 Advent Calendar Review Part 5 - Comics #21 - #25 Advent Calendar Review Part 6 - Comics #26 - #31Advent Calendar Review Part 7 - Awards Ceremony and Final Thoughts-Segments:-You've got mail: Listen up, people. You can send stuff in to us. Just PM me a comment, a question, an opinion, a statement, or whatever you want. We'll discuss it on an episode. This is probably the easiest way to get mentioned in TTV.Introduction: The cast breaks the ice with some random discussion, and then the intro music plays.News: The cast discusses the BZPower front page news, from oldest to newest.Brought to Attention: Spiritual Successor to the popular segment "What the Heck with THEDUDEOFDUDEZ". Runs along the same vein as the aforementioned segment, but rather than Mesonak ranting about oddities in the forums, he gives a preface to anything at all interesting in the forum, news, or community, gives his opinions on the matter, then opens the floor for the rest of the cast to join in the discussion as well.Comic Maker Spotlight: Hosted by Eljay, this segment involves Eljay offering constructive criticism to a comic maker, who is chosen at random. Conclusion: The cast finishes with some witty banter, and the ending music plays.-Noteworthy Special/Former segments:-What the Heck with THEDUDEOFDUDEZ: This segment , the precursor to "Brought to Attention", was formerly hosted by Mesonak. It was quite similar to "Brought to Attention", featuring myself picking out something strange in the world of BIONICLE, BZPower, or Hero Factory, and ranting about it for a while. Was retired due to the lack of group discussion featured within, and to allow a greater range of subjects to be discussed.General Artwork Segment: While not retired, this segment has not been featured for a long while, but I don't want to omit it from the record entirely. Our workaholic host Varderan took a look at the General Artwork forum, offered a wide range of advice to the members there, and participated in discussions regarding the forum itself. Segment could return at a moment's notice, but for now, it's temporarily on hiatus.Hot Topics: The cast cycled through the list of hot topics, picking out three topics to discuss. On temporary hiatus until BZP finally gets hot topics functioning properly again.MoC Spotlight: This segment offered reviews of a varied selection of MoCs from the BBC forum, offering constructive criticism to their creators.-Cast list:-Mesonak: Episode Editor/OwnerVarderan: Website Manager/Co-ownerEljay: Toa of Mangosteen: Interview Specialist/Co-OwnerKahinuva: Main Host MajorVenom: Main Host MajorKini Hawkeye: Main Host MinorTenebrae Invictus: Recorder-We've had many more guests and part time hosts ever since our podcast began, but in the interest of space, and in order to remain relevant, I won't list them.A quick rule for becoming an established host; if you miss three episodes in a row, you will be relieved of your duties as a host. This is to prevent inactive hosts from taking up space on the podcast and allowing a chance for newer hosts to possibly join. This does not apply if prior notice was given as to why you would not be able to make it to a scheduled recording. -Comments and criticism are, obviously, welcome and appreciated, be it constructive or not. Unlike some we appreciate any comments on our work and will listen to the opinions that our fanbase gives us. Don't forget that, please. -Special Events:- -Makuta Fest is a yearly collaboration between the BS01 Podcast and The Three Virtues. The scheduled date for the next MakutaFest event is August 1, 2012; The first one, held on August 1, 2010 was a grand success, and the second, held on August 1, 2011, was an even greater experience. --On October 17th, 2010, TTV interviewed Leigh Gallagher, the BIONICLE comic artist for 2008. Was a very enjoyable experience; he's a great guy.Affiliates:---Support banners:-----Mesonak Edited November 19, 2012 by Mesonak 1 The Three Virtues YouTube Channel ----- ----- Check it out for laughs, discussion, and more. Tavakai
Listened to the whole calendar thing last night. Thanks for all of the praise of my comic. I was so afraid I wouldn't finish it in time that I worked on it almost nonstop the week before Christmas. I got sixty panels done each of the last two days and stayed up until three the last night. That was probably why there wasn't much hype; worked on it too hard to give me a chance to hype it. Anyway, I'm just pleased at the reaction that came out of all those hours of work.I seem to be pretty good at making long comics for some reason, which I guess is kind of unfortunate because people don't always like to read them because of their length. That thing Kahi suggested about making them into animations would be really fun; I sort of gave up on Liveswif and Flash is way too expensive for me.Also Meso, as for why I put you in the comic, it was mostly because I was just making a reference to Eljay's and you're in his.Another thing--in Justax's comic, it didn't confuse me at all and I hadn't read the series. I had no idea that was the whole premise of the series, either, I just thought it was for the comic. And I don't know how you guys didn't get Chath's. Took me a few times, but eventually I realized it, and I haven't read his series either. (Link for convenience). So basically, there's this little kid who's trying to ask why there's no decorations, but he only gets the chance in the second panel in the first row. Also, the third column is about Garda's quest to find Santa--he captured the green dude and holds him hostage, which he tells Gavla about, and at the bottom, Garda's at the North Pole looking for Santa. Maybe you guys didn't see in the titlebox thing that there isn't a specific order to it, but basically these are mostly just an assortment of one-panelers, apart from the Garda subplot and the little kid. He could have tried to make it clearer, as you can tell by the lack of understanding at what was going on, but it wasn't totally incomprehensible.(Also, it might be a good idea to put a link to the Advent Calendar somewhere in there)

He's a great guy. An MoCing podcast sounds like an interesting premise. I'll keep an eye out for that, and when you get it up and running, I'll have a listen. On another note, we have a new episode up; the TTV New Years 2012 Special; while a bit overdue, I'd say it's a pretty good episode, complete with all new theme music for our segments to usher in the New Years. Have a listen!Note: the last episode with my very bad microphone. I got a new headset, so all episodes recorded after this one will have me sounding a lot more... professional. Though there may be one more episode released that was actually recorded a while back, and as such, will not have my new audio. So apologies about that.Enjoy the episode!-Mesonak Edited January 20, 2012 by Mesonak The Three Virtues YouTube Channel ----- ----- Check it out for laughs, discussion, and more. Mesonak
Just wondering, were you guys making these during the downtime? What Sumiki said. I believe we attempted to record an episode... twice? We had to grasp at straws for segments, ended up ranting at the downtime quite a lot more than we intended, and due to the fact we couldn't do a majority of our regular segments, it turned out quite boring. as such, we don't see the worth in releasing those "attempts". They weren't even entertaining.Anyway, on a positive note, new episode! Content may be a bit out of date, but I'd say it's a pretty good episode even though myself and Var were not present. Check it out!Once again, hosted on mediafire. We're looking into.... yet another new place to store our episodes, because our current location is not cutting it, plain and simply. More updates on that when... well, when I know things to give you updates on. -Mesonak The Three Virtues YouTube Channel ----- ----- Check it out for laughs, discussion, and more. Tavakai
I agree, mine was kind of stupid. I guess it's partly because 97% of my experience with mysteries is Scooby-Doo. Also, I originally was going to cut it off after Dark said, "It's like you guys are obsessed with me or something," but then I for some reason decided to put in that part about the body just to confuse people. And it's also because, as some of you may be able to tell, whenever I make something that has a good plot it ends up being ridiculously long. Maybe in the summer or during winter break I could have been able to make something with a good plot for this, but not in the middle of February when I was so busy with school that I had to use whatever time I could in a few weekends. So instead I kind of tried to make it humorous, but because there was an emphasis in this contest on seriousness I sort of tried to force it in that direction. And obviously that didn't work and hurt the entry.I'd probably respond about more, but I can't spare that much time right now.
D-D-D-Ddude
Welp, listened to part of your review of my comic for the contest, made me hate the comic even more than I already did. >__>I've said this before, but I really was unhappy with comic, to the point I almost didn't even post it. I agree with what you said about my use of gradient, but honestly the only other thing I could have done was just plain color, and that would've looked even worse. I had some concerns about characters making sense as well; I felt like the whole thing lost coherence about the time Shadonix came along. The entry kinda made me reexamine my capabilities as a comic author, since I had to cut waaaaay more corners than I would have liked to in terms of art.btw Kahi PLEASE get a new mic I can barely hear anything you say. :PAlso, what's the music in the intro? Mesonak
It doesn't work (the site). at least for me Are you referring to our website, thethreevirtues.com? Because, yes, the site is currently down while we switch hosting services. Not that the site being unavailable limits your ability to listen to our podcast episodes in any way, though. -Mesonak The Three Virtues YouTube Channel ----- ----- Check it out for laughs, discussion, and more. Mesonak
I'm game to host again, if you'll have me. Scheduling may be a pain, but I could find a way. Thanks for your interest; unfortunately, we're currently pretty packed regarding hosts (you may remember the whole thing regarding the amount of people that could be in the call without slowing down the host's internet). Any more, and well... things wouldn't be pretty. I'll let you know if that changes in the near future, however. Episode 28 has also been released. So hooray for that. -Mesonak The Three Virtues YouTube Channel ----- ----- Check it out for laughs, discussion, and more.

Soran
I've been listening to the Podcasts recently and I got to say that they're really helpful and entertaining. I like all the jokes you guys do and how down to earth you guys act. It doesn't sound like people reading a script it sounds like just people having fun.I haven't listened to the new one yet but I will soon once I have the time.Consider yourselves to have another fan,~Soran
