Sir Keksalot
So here's a crazy thought that just hit me: Krana mind-control beings that have them on their face, right? So could a Toa of Psionics, or even some being with similar powers, resist that mind-control entirely? And, if they can use Kanohi, could they then use that Krana's powers as a Bohrok would, effectively using it as a Kanohi? 1 Quote Rule #1: Always listen to Kek. TERIDAX941
Well we know that a strong mind can resist the krana (Lewa had the strength to pull his off, and Tahu removed his even before the krana was able to control him at all). The Order of Mata Nui learned their mental block ability from the Psionic Matoran so any of the Matoran would theoretically immune to the Krana, and by extension the Toa as well. Now can one use a krana's powers without the krana controlling the individual? Who is actually using the powers, the wearer, or the krana wearing the individual? If Krana are alive, can't a being with the Psionics element just mind-control it to make it use its powers? This isn't useful for most Krana, since they're either redundant to the Psionics element or Bohrok-specific; but I'm more interested in the "can this be done" aspect of it. 1 Quote Rule #1: Always listen to Kek. TERIDAX941
It would depend on who's will is stronger, the krana (via the Bahrag who we've seen have rather powerful telepathic powers) or the Toa. It's rather a hard call, since the krana's main function when planted on someone is to control them, but since a Toa of Psionics would be able to block the control, then it'd be easier to control the krana instead. If it was someone who had mind control (but wasn't a Toa of Psionics) it might favor the krana, depending on the individual's willpower. 21Boomerangs
This use of power is possible, but it would likely drain the Psionic user's elemental energy. A Psionics Toa would have to weigh the loss of EE over the duration of use of the power in question. While a mental block would likely require no EE drain and would allow a Psionics user to use a Krana as an emergency mask, actually controlling the Krana to use its power would require the use of Psionics energy by the Toa. Note that this is also the case if a Psionics user found a loose Krana or Bohrok and decided to mind-control it to use its power. It would be a far more efficient use of energy for the Toa to simply mind-control the Krana or Bohrok in question - placing the Krana on its face would not be required. In the case of assault, in which the mask is forcibly removed and the Krana is placed, a mental block should allow the user to resist the Krana's control and retrieve one's mask. This would be true of all mental block users, however, not just Psionics Toa. Does that make sense? Quote you can call me boomie
