A Deep-Dive into LEGO History and a Look at a Holiday Special

Recommended Posts

We missed sharing the new episode last week, but we're catching you all up with links to the two most recent episodes of Bits N' Bricks. In Episode 2 - Fluid Play, documentarian Ethan Vincent and journalist Brian Crecente look back into some of The LEGO Group's forays into mixed reality gaming, covering recent efforts like Hidden Side, early installments such as Life of George, and the never-released DUPLO KidPad project. It was crazy to see how early on they were exploring the melding of digital and physical play, long before Skylanders took the world by storm. Then, in Episode 3 - Holiday Special, the hosts jump to the present and talk about the recently-released LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special with the director of the project, Ken Cunningham. I've been highly enjoying the podcast so far and recommend it to any and all LEGO gamers out there!

Only half the length of the other episodes, and not much discussion about any games in particular. Mostly it was about that Lego Star Wars holiday special, which certainly sounds interesting on its own, but not really much else on this week's episode of this podcast series.

Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012.

These days, I am perhaps best known for my obsession with all Lego video games.
