Wait, but you didn't say much about HEROsector01. I'm glad we got a Hero Factory wiki, because otherwise there wouldn't have been much to do on the wiki. Thank you Swert! :D

I've probably said this before somewhere, but now that BZP is back, I'll probably be more active on BS01.

Come on over to HS01! There's a ton of stuff to do, as BIONICLEsector01 is lacking in new information to add. :P

Let me start off by saying, it is really good to see BZPower back up and running; it now gives me something to do. Anyway, back to the topic. I actually had an idea a while back when the forums went down, but I had no idea how to contact anyone that ran BS01, so I couldn't get in contact with anyone.. Anyway, here's my suggestion. In the Bionicle universe, one of the biggest things is Destiny. Hey, it's one of the three virtues. But, on each profile, at least for the toa, there isn't much about their destiny, or if they even achieved it yet. Why don't we add that to each Toa profile? You know how we have that box underneath each picture of each individual? It says stuff like this: Kanohi: Blah, Tool: Blah Blah, Status: Blah blah blah, Etc... Why don't we add to those boxes? As far as the toa profiles, I'll use Tahu as an example, Destiny: Awaken Mata Nui, Destiny Status: achieved. We don't know every toa's destiny, but it will give us more questions to ask Greg. As far as small toa roles, we can ask him what their destinies were. Like Lesovikk, or whoever he doesn't really have BIG plans for, such as Takanuva. I mean, we're looking for more information to update profiles, why wouldn't it be a good idea? Considering it is a wiki, shouldn't it already have that information? Heh:P Of course, with some Toa it will be Destiny: Unknown, Destiny Status: Unknown/TBD/ What have you. But, it will give us new things to add to the profiles. I like the idea. Anyway, thoughts?

Yeah, we try to make sure all our HS01 staff are HF fans. Varaka will likely continue to be just a BS01 moderator. Unless you wanna get into Hero Factory. That's cool with me. ;D

It's quite rare that a Toa's destiny is explicitly mentioned. Not to mention, all characters in Bionicle have a destiny, not just Toa. To provide a solid description of each character's destiny would be an unnecessarily massive undertaking, especially when the destinies are often vague. By a regular definition of "destiny", virtually everything that a person does would have been pre-ordained. Thus what is known of destiny can be inferred from their history section. I don't see any benefit in putting a destiny section on the templates.

I definitely got the short straw here. ~Argentum~

We'll add you to the post, don't worry. :P It needs updating for HS01 anyways.

Not necessarily. Some of what I do that you can surely do is hunt down images from HeroFactory.LEGO.com, HeroRecon.LEGO.com, and a lot of the Microsites. There's always something to contribute with. :)

I thought I'd just post here to reiterate my desire for a NinjaSector01. Someone needs to establish a well-moderated Ninjago wiki before the top resource on the subject becomes some poorly-moderated Wikia garbage. And having the groundwork in place before next year's TV series gets into gear would be a godsend. Pleeeeease, Swert?

The problem with that is finding people for it. HS01 worked really well because a lot of us (mostly me and Cholie, but anyway) had an interest in Hero Factory, and knew enough to muster up the requisite enthusiasm that was needed to help HS01 take off. Swert didn't have to hire too many new staffers (those two new slaves workers excluded) because he knew us already, he trusted us and our ability to work. A big block in the way of creating a new wiki (server space aside; I'm enjoying my free rein with HS01, thank you every much) is that I and most of the other staff members don't know that much about Ninjago. It would be a lot more clumsy in execution, unless Swert was willing to hire and train a brand new team. Doable? Perhaps. Worth the effort involved? Not particularly. It's definitely a thought (and I know Ninjago is super popular) but it's not quite something we have the resources for just yet.

I think that a wiki for LEGO Ninjago would be a good idea, but I don't think that now is the time. The staff are still working on getting HEROsector01 finished and well-underway before they can start thinking of any next steps. The best way to get the idea to be worked on would be to help out HEROsector01 so that all of its needs are covered. As Dorek said, the staff don't have the resources yet. I'd love to help if we do get a Ninjago wiki, but we'd need more help than just us. Also, Ninjago doesn't really have a good step-by-step story, and is more of a sequence through all of the episodes. That wouldn't be very helpful in my opinion, because it would start out with incomplete information, resulting in a lot of stub pages. It's a good idea, but has a lot of problems that get in the way. One thing that could be worked on a lot though, is the Wikipedia article for Ninjago (then again, all of Wikipedia's articles related to LEGO need a lot of help). HEROsector01 would be a good place to help right now, so that we can think about other things after that (Though it won't be any time soon, sadly).

I'm guessing that it's due to the...technical difficulties that I haven't been able to register in BS01 (either that, or I really don't know how to work a computer). I would like to know, is it possible at the moment to register, and if so, how?-Void

So, once the whole mess of BS01 returns to functionality, how does one join it? I am confused on this matter.

Might as well address these both at the same time =P.Technically, we can open registration at any time, it's just easier not to. If anybody would like an account, you may PM a staff member (such as myself, or Cholie) with your desired username and password (which can, of course, be changed at any time), and we will construct the account for you, and give you the necessary details to access it.If you are content with waiting until registration opens (waiting? Bah. Load of nonsense, that is), a registration link will appear at the log-in prompt, and we might go about adding a direct link on the front page as well. Edited by Dorek

So as you may have noticed, we are still missing a fair share of pages. Thankfully, the staff have located a handful of caches of pages we don't have, but restoring them takes time. In order to expedite the process, I am requesting that you email me at BioniclemanonBS01@gmail.com if you are interested in helping. What I will then do is give you a few of the caches I have saved on my computer, and it will then be your job to restore the pages. Please note that the caches will only contain what the page looked like, with very little formatting. It is therefore important that if you volunteer, you have a basic understanding of wiki formatting and code. Don't worry if you aren't a coding genius though, you just need to know how to set up links and images. Meanwhile, I will return to trying to get User:Swert to upload more images. : D

I don't think I would be of much help (I'm fairly good with links, but terrible as far as images are concerned). However, I have noticed that several pages in the Wanted Pages list actually have never existed. They're just the result of poor linking. The most common mistake is linking to a page using the plural of the title (ex. Toa Stone exists; Toa Stones doesn't). However, that plural title page is displayed in the list, even though it has only one or two other pages linking to it. That greatly increases missing page number. And another thing: the pages from Chronist Wiki are displayed in the list, but the links are working and the pages do exist. Why are they there?

On the former: That means that we most likely had a redirect for that at some point, and that it hasn't been recreated yet; alternatively (as per your example, since we tend not to redirect for plurals and the like) it means that on the manually recreated pages that the link went wrong somewhere. However, I'm not actually seeing many examples of it.As for the de: links, I don't really know. The interwiki links show up similarly, but I don't actually quite know why it is.

I'm not sure if this is in the right place but...What is the size of BS01 approximately in gigabytes...and what would be an effective way to create an offline version?
I can't answer your first question, but I can tell you about the second. The problem with making an offline version of a wiki is that it will require updates every time you go online. A wiki is updated quite frequently, therefore an offline version could easily become difficult to make. I know, because I've tried to work that in when developing apps for The Ninjago Wiki.

This may have already been asked, but are there any plans to put the winning stories of S&T Contest 6 on BS01? The winning entries from all the other contests were put, I don't see why not for this one. Besides, since the topic with the results is no longer pinned in the S&T Forum, finding the winning entries has become more difficult.

We've given our thoughts on that matter several times, including on the podcast. As the tl;dr version: given past experiences with contest winners, not having Greg Farshtey's final input makes me wary about adding the final stories to BS01.If you want a more lengthy post on the subject, I can direct you to the (slightly melodramatic) reasoning I gave on BS01 here

On approval from the BMan, I am reaching out to the BZP community for help...

Howdy all, if you search "User:Zo;Tomana/Histories" on BS01 you will find a page that (after expanding various show/hide buttons) contains a large amount of information about things from BS01's History. If you go up to the top, somewhat to the right you will see a bunch of links in purple text. Following the "Page Talk" link will take you to the History Talkpage where I have 3 projects in line to be added to the page. The problem is, I need quotes, I need information that I've missed, I need YOUR help to make these projects happen.

Lord Nektann has kindly agreed to work with me on the BS01 Civil War project (a very late chronicling effort), but any kind of information that you remember on that, on Operation: Restore All Content, or on the Event Log is very much welcome. Quotes about them are especially sought after, even if you are just giving me a comment you have about what the subject was or was like in your opinion.

If you have memories about any of these three projects, PM me what you can think of, and I will be sure to cite your contribution in my Thanks section (which I need to rewrite anyway!). If you can't remember anything about those three, but you have something to add concerning the other 11 (count them, 11) files on the Histories page, you can PM me about that too. Any and all help is appreciated.

Of special interest are: the 3 Talkpage projects (O:RAC, Event Log, and the Civil War), the BS01 RHG, quotes and updates for the 2nd Great Transition.

Please PM me rather than post information here. Thank you very much for your time.

Out of curiosity, why can't anyone register as a new user on BS01? When I tried to, it says that the action is restricted to administrators. I have been reading over a few things in the wiki, and have found some possible errors I'd like to discuss in one of the talk pages or possibly fix myself.

Apparently registration is still off on BS01, which is a real shame. I'd recommend PMing an admin like Swert to see if he can re-enable it or to make you an account.
