Mushy the Mushroom
If so, here’s the pattern and tutorial (and instructions for a mini/doll size one too). A LEGO plate, round 1x1, made ~29.765625 times bigger than the actual brick. The finished inner circumference is 23.56”. A colossal thanks to BZPower Members @WOLKsite, @Xboxtravis and @Gifthammer for advice on the actual brick's proportions (via the BZP Discord server)! Put this one on Instructables, hopefully for easier use (and as the well of free Flickr storage quickly runs dry.) https://www.instructables.com/Cloth-LEGO-Brick-Hat-Sewing-Pattern/ Based off these suggested measurements: Diameter of top stud- 4.8mm Diameter of lower cylinder- 6.4mm Diameter of mid ring- 8.0mm Height of mid ring- 0.8mm Total height of plate- 4.8mm Inside diameter of lower plate - 4.8mm Pattern made by ascertaining a comfy circumference for the head, converting that measurement to mm, dividing that by the lowest cylinder mm circumference, then multiplying the other measurements by that number. Hopefully it’s to scale, unsure if I did it properly. Lived dangerously and only made a paper test subject. The pattern is rough and hand-drawn, my apologies for that. The mini Baby Yoda hat is the same pattern, just print-scaled to 50% with minor alterations (Full info on Instructables.). Crushed remains Total project construction time (including the outfit, though not included in this tutorial): 37 hrs. Human hat: 14 hrs. Baby Yoda hat and nautical outfit: 12 hrs. Just little pleats, pearly snaps, and a tie made from knit, bias tape, beads and an elastic loop. Then I realized I had nothing that matched. So I made a shirt from my dad’s old polo, and a mega-full two-tier skirt from a knit fabric roll that was harvested from my grandmother’s basement. Shirt: 4.5 hrs (French seams, hand basting for stripe matching). Skirt: 6.5 hrs (French also, hand gathers). (Illness has greatly reduced my production speed, so it may not take as long if you try!) Superfluous photoshoot heaps because I had too much fun with this one: *LEGO Island soundtrack blasting for effect* Confession: It has some unsightly wrinkles on the mid ring. And… *facepalm* Hats off to you, if you try it too! Adieu! Edited March 10, 2022 by Mushy the Mushroom PS: I dedicate this to all the BZPower hatpiles. 3 Quote Member-Made Emote Topic Original Mush art thanks to @Bambi
Valendale
That's great! Both hats are adorable! I hope it's comfortable to wear too. It's very impressive you made that whole outfit yourself. ...I like the hatpile dedication too!
Taka Nuvia
That's such a clever idea, and creative too! I adore your creations. May I ask what inspired you to make a brick hat? 1 Quote My art collection topic - updated! (21/09/2021)

Thanks so much, you’re very gracious! 11 hours ago, Taka Nuvia said: That's such a clever idea, and creative too! I adore your creations. May I ask what inspired you to make a brick hat? Thank you, Taka! I was just sorting my collection of this piece by color, and the thought of “Oh wow, that looks like the shape of the boater hat I made a while ago. I need to put this on my head” materialized. 1 Quote Member-Made Emote Topic Original Mush art thanks to @Bambi
