Media Discussion Rules

General UseUse this forum to:
  • [*]Talk about official LEGO / BIONICLE / Hero Factory movies.[*]Talk about the style of writing in the books.[*]Talk about the voice actors, the animation of the movies, favorite movie lines, and any related topics.

Do not use this forum to:

  • [*]Post your own LEGO-based movies, comics, or writing. Those go in
Music & Movies, Comics, and the Library, respectively.[*]Discuss prices of books, comics, or movies, or trade them. This activity belongs in the Marketplace.

Basic RulesThese basic rules are shared by most of BZP's sub-forums.

  • [*]No flaming. Name calling, posting in all caps, insulting, or just generally being mean are things that count as flaming. This will not be tolerated.[*]No spam. If you post, add to the discussion. Do not post something that is useless. Do not post simply to say that you agree with someone else's post. Try to stay on-topic.[*]No double posting. Do not post twice or more times in a row. If you have more to say, and you were the last to post, edit your last post.[*]No excessive pictures. Do not post too many emoticons, or many of them for no reason. Same applies to pictures. Only post a picture if there is a good reason to do so.[*]Do not post a topic more than once. If you get a Mail error, or "Page cannot be displayed" when posting a topic, do NOT click "Back." Close the window, and bring BZP up in a new one, so that you can get back to M&B, and check to see if your topic really did go through. Most times it has. If you post more than three copies of a topic, you may lose proto.[*]Stay on topic. If you post in a topic, your post must be related to the subject the topic is about. Also, please don't post two or more unrelated theories in the same topic. If you have two theories, make two topics. (Related theories can go together, however.)[*]Report rule breaking, don't post. Don't simply post to tell someone that they've broken the rules. Report it. We moderators cannot read every post.[*]No "Do not look and leave" statements in M&B topics. Members have every right to only post if they want to. It's alright to ask people to post, but don't state it as if they have no choice or have an obligation to, because that's not true. Spam is against the rules, and statements like this encourage spam.[*]Avoid Repetition or Agreement Spam. This means repeating what others have said, or posting only to say you agree with something in a topic that isn't specifically asking for individual opinions. See
here.[*]No confusing titles. No teaser titles such as "Sorry, You Have To Read It" or the like. Please see here.[*]Be reasonable about character deaths. Please see the new Character Death Policy.[*]No offensive language. Toilet humor, foul language, sexual or violent content are some examples. This forum, as in every forum, should be kept clean and safe for young children. Violation of this rule will result in much more severe punishment than other offenses. Suspension or banning is not out of the question.

Spoiler Policy

  • [*]Please remember to adhere to the
BZP Spoiler Policy when discussing new movies and books. Book/movie spoilers are banned entirely for two weeks (14 days). Then a spoiler tag is needed for two more weeks (14 days). (For example, if a book is supposed to be released in "October", then October 1 is the release date, October 15 is the date when you can begin posting spoilers (but only in spoiler tags), and October 29 is when spoiler tags are no longer necessary.)[*]You can read about using the spoiler tag here. The button for it appears in a reply window, and it works just like the "Quote," "List," and "Color" tags. Clicking on the bold "Click Here For Spoilers" in a post shows hidden text. Just don't overuse it.[*]If you make a topic that is asking for spoilers or will undoubtedly involve them, please make sure to notify readers that spoilers may be a possibility. A little courtesy goes a long way.

Topic RevivalPlease do not post in topics that have been inactive for thirty days or more, or the topic will be closed. If it was still needed for discussion, people would have kept it going. If there's new information relating to the previous topic, but that topic is too old to revive, then it's probably fine to create a new thread on it instead.Thank you for reading and following these rules.Official Topics:

Official Favorite Bionicle Movie Poll[*]Official Favorite Comic Book Artist Poll[*]Official Favorite/Least Favorite Book Topic
