pls respond
i've been really digging structures, betraying the martyrs, stray from the path (seriously if you don't know these guys check them out now, one of my new favorite bands), oh sleeper, volumes, within the ruins, like moths to flames, chelsea grin, and of course whitechapel

-Sykura-
At the moment I would have to say Cryptopsy, (Lord Worm Cryptopsy, not that new abomination) Short Bus Pile Up, Human Error, Anaal Nathrakh and Cephalotripsy. (I love slam death) chelsea grin, and of course whitechapelYou really need to check out Alice Through The WIndshield Glass. -Sykura-
Haha, I love the "toilet frog" vocals. The harsher and less coherent, the better it is as far as I am concerned. Although a fair bit of slam (Short Bus Pile Up, Devourment, Cesspool Of Vermin and Awaiting The Autopsy to name a few) do not use the gurgle vocals so much. I know right? Although Lord Worm is apparantly starting up a melodic black metal/industrial which should be interesting. Also Disfiguring The Goddess are sooooo brutal it ain't even funny. Rarity
What are some good Metal Christmas songs? :POh, and lately I've been into Warbringer, Annihliator, and Evile, along with some classic 70s-80s stuff. I have a massive list I can send you if you like. For the most part I despise deathcore, not because I am an elitist, but because it is oh so painfully terrible. I like Alice Through The Windshield Glass, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin and Carnifex along with Divine Heresy, (first album, not that new abortion) In Flames and couple of other melodic death metal, -core influenced bands, but for the most part I cannot stand the constant chugging, generic breakdowns and awful vocals and stupid misogynistic lyrics. Yes, that is the one. Circle Of Nine is good but I much prefer the earlier work: "Feeding Off Nihility," "Abrogations Crown" and "Teeth Of Emulation." (All came from online demos and other such stuff; not sure of the exact records) Nah, you are welcome.
pls respond
i'm actually a fan of grind btdubs, i think it's because i'm basically a hardcore kid that happens to like metal a lot tooi've tried a lot of slam, i simply can't get into it. there are a few brutal death metal bands i can get behind though like Aborted and Suffocation

pls respond
i'm so excited too! they need to tour in my state soon, i must see themalso i think i may have found a br00tal slamz band i actually like. you know Pathology? seems a little silly that they're on victory records but hey they're good so i don't care
-Sykura-
Yeah, I hope they come near me too (northern England, haha). They are pretty big, so I imagine that there will probably be a Global Flatline tour of sorts. But knowing my luck, probably not.Yes, I like Pathology. Surgically Hacked and Incisions of Perverse Debauchery have got to be my favourites of their work. And may I ask what their record label has to do with anything? They have changed it about three times now. Also, Pathology are not exactly slam in the vein of Cephalotripsy, Abominable Putridity or Visceral Disgorge, so if you like Pathology, check out Intracranial Butchery, Cesspool Of Vermin and Cerebral Incubation.-Sykura
pls respond
i just find it funny because victory is the same label that's brought us such gems as Emmure, A Day To Remember, and Design The Skylinei'm actually starting to dig cephalotripsy and devourment too. still not the biggest fan of the gurgling but it's way more stomachable to me now
NapalmDeathTurahk
Devourment and Cephalotripsy are definitely good.Cryptopsy w/o Lord Worm is meh, and utterly mindblowing terrible in The Unspoken King.I'm also a big fan of Aborted, mostly their earlier efforts. Goremageddon is classic. Also check out GUT, they're odd German grind. Very morbid and the vocals are unusual. The best band to chill to is definitely Torsof--- though. pls respond
yeah The Unspoken King is really just a bad album even by deathcore standardsGoremageddon was the album that got me into Aborted, i agree on its classic statusfound out that i'm probably going to see August Burns Red, Silverstein, and Letlive. in January, really excited for thatso on that note i'm gonna buy a drawstring bag so i'll have something to carry stuff in at shows. that poses the question: do i get a within the ruins bag or a carnifex bag?also napalmdeathturahk you should go post a few times in general discussion or something similar (10 times at least) so your posts will show up instantly. it really makes discussion easieredit: okay i just found out that Trevor from the black dahlia murder is making a guest appearance on Global Flatline. consider my excitement increased tenfold Edited December 22, 2011 by Idunnolol

Definitely check them out. Kinda groovy metal/metalcore.I've been really into Living Sacrifice lately as well. I thought you was going to start one of those "all death metal sounds the same" discussions. Trevor's vocals are amazing what are you talking aboutReally? To me, Angal Ochoa's toilet frog gurgling, Lord Worm's unmatched "HURGH WURR URGH," Blue Jensen's guttural, high growl and squeal in the same breath and Necrolagnia's dying pig impression are amazing, not Trevor's generic, somewhat coreish vocals.
