Fourze actually really surprised me at how much I enjoy it. I've done a total flip of opinion on the costume design, though some aspects of the belt and general themes I still don't really like. But come on, how can you not like SPAAAACE TIIIIIME~!

I agree. Fourze attracted a lot of hate when it was first revealed, but when I got around to watching it, I was amazed by the fact that the series had a more light-hearted view and pulled it off well.In my opinion, Gen is now officially the most awesome person to wield a Rider Belt during the Heisei era, and his series currently has less than 10 episodes.By the way, the story writer also worked on Gurren Lagann. Fourze's Rider Kick uses a drill. Coincidence? I think not. :P

Yeah, I'm addicted to Kamen Rider now. Still haven't tried Fourze since I'm still skeptical it'll be as good as people keep insisting it ended up being... Personally, I'm a huge fan of Kiva. ~|ET|~

As you can see, I'm an Ixa fan. But I started with Decade when Dragon Knight was starting, went to Ryuki, finished Decade, DK, then tried Faiz (gave up after a dozen episodes), watched W, as it aired, Blade, then Kiva, OOO when W finished, and Hibiki (by the way, Hibiki is the best season. No contest.). Now I'm on Fourze. Fourze is...well, I was hating it when the images came out. I still hate it. But it's growing on me. OOO lacked something; a cast. W had a cast; it was called Fuuto. It felt real, unlike OOO. Seriously; we don't even know the name of the city. Amanogawa feels real again, and you have to like it, if for no other reason than W's return in MEGAMAX. That, and Foundation X finally returning in the movie. I'm also a big fan of The First and The Next (Next was terrible by comparison, but Nihon did an edit of it that takes away the Chiharu subplot with the murders, and that is amazing comparatively). Because of my love of them, I wrote The Third, and am currently planning on writing every season up to Decade as a movie, having all of Showa planned (minus Black/RX; still working on those plans), and only having Kabuto partway done in the planning process. I also tried Den-O; big mistake, I know. Zeronos is cool, so I tried. Made it not even one and a half episodes in (one and five minutes?), and quit. Terrible, terrible series that needs to just die. Decade was also terrible, but not this bad. Once more, Hibiki is the best. That's all I've got for now.

I hated the comedy. I want drama. One of the reasons to love Hibiki; it was a coming of age story focusing more on the characters and drama (to a lesser extent). Nago and Otoya. Probably Otoya comes out on top. I was admittedly disappointed when he used Dark Kiva for what, three uses/episodes? I had figured he'd have it longer, but he's still my favorite Ixa user. I figured he'd be a secondary Ixa user (like the girls), and primary Dark Kiva, when I heard he became DK. And Nago was just awesome; his sense of justice and reasons for fighting were great, to me, since I'm in training to be a police officer. Granted, his views of justice are much more perverted, if I remember right, but still, I have to respect that.

Whaaaaat? I actually like Den-O. Maybe it's more for the humor than anything else, but yeah. ~|ET|~

I've never watched Den-O, and I know it's the season most popular for its humor, but why won't it end? They release like, a new movie about it every year after it ended. It had a crossover with Crayon Shin-Chan for pete's sake. :P

Lol Otoya's character annoyed me so much. Though I agree, I wish he had been Dark Kiva longer - in fact, I wish Dark Kiva had more of a presence at all, like Taiga getting it earlier rather than using the mysterious Saga all that time. For me, the definitive Ixa user is Nago. The girls using it were meh, and don't even get me started on Kengo... And I'll admit Den-O probably does need to die and they are milking it too much. But I still enjoyed it. *shrug* So I guess tomorrow I'll start downloading some Fourze episodes. ~|ET|~

I forgot about Kabuto. Saw it, hated it. Hated Tendou so much. Though my "The" movie adaptation rewrites him into someone better, at least. Date; everyone should love Date. He was R5, after all. Den-O needs to finally die, and W can take its place. We all know its coming.

So, just to let you guys know, as of yesterday my plans for my Kabuto movie adaptation (in the way of The First and Next) is planned out. If anyone wants to see that, to be sure I didn't ruin Kabuto with my changes (yes, I hate Kabuto because of Tendou, so I made a lot of changes), please send me a PM and I'll send it out. I just want to be sure that it works. Those I've asked thus far have no problems with my changes. Currently about to write my Amazon/X adaptation (The Fourth), and planning my Ryuki adaptation (The Thirteen).

I'm really enjoying Fourze so far, for it's likable characters and it's awesome Koichi Sakamoto (who worked on Power Rangers) fight scenes. Seriously who wouldn't want a chainsaw or pogo leg? I think Fourze has a really good cast, and the high school theme fits it's 'over the top-ness' However I still hold W, Kiva, and Hibiki as the pinnacles of the Heisei series. I enjoyed the rest, but they didn't have the same sort of lasting impression as these series. W had a brilliant atmosphere and felt managed to blend Kamen Rider and detectives near perfectly. Kiva was just awesome, the Horror theme was brilliant, and it was incredibly enjoyable especially the flitting between 2008 and 1986. Hibiki was full of drama, weirdness (the Douji and Hime will never cease to be terrifying), and took the brave step of not having the rider as the 'main' character, giving a fairly serious look at growing up. (Interestingly, Hibiki wasn't originally intended to be a Kamen Rider show) The rest of the series's are all mixed bags for me. I've tried to watch many of them, but give up relatively quickly for whatever series. Also, if they do replace Den-O with W and make loads of spin-off movies, I won't be complaining both W and Skull are awesome. And if they do merge Fourze's world with W's through Foundation X, the result will be brilliant. Or it'll be a mess, only time will tell.

The worlds are linked, based on W and OOO appearing in movies (debatable, but whatever) together, and OOO ending scenes with Fourze characters. That, and W appears in Megamax, linking it all for good. And Foundation X appears in the movie as well. I can't tell from your post, Ultra, if you know that and are hoping it will be good, or don't know that, so I'm just covering the bases. I saw Eternal again today, an edited version to change the story, the Takenoko cut. I like his cuts; I have The Next burned on DVD with his cut. It removes Chiharu's subplot (for the better). Eternal was done as "What if W wasn't the hero, but Eternal was? What if NEVER fought Museum and Foundation X in Fuuto?" and it turned out well. Cutting out all the W scenes, except Mina talking about Heaven's Hall for exposition purposes. It also removes Katsumi going insane when she dies, and gives a text screen about how he went to Fuuto, not wanting to revive her as a monster, etc. I liked the edit, because I hate Katsumi going insane, after the beautiful moment he had with Mina dying. Though in this version, she stays dead (the Heaven's Hall scene is thus confusing).

I'm definitely hoping for it to be good, and I knew they were trying to link OOO and W's universes. Unfortunately I don't think it worked very well, as there were a number of continuity errors in Movie War Core (such as Gill, Nobunaga being Birth, Eiji having all the medals etc.) I still enjoyed it though and am very much looking forward to MEGAMAX. I'll have to seek out that cut of Eternal, although I liked Eternal, his descent to completely crazy did seem quite sudden. They didn't even check if she was alive or not, and just decided that they should kill everyone in Fuuto. But if they didn't we would have never got A-Z... I've just realised I completely forgot to watch Accel Returns, It's been on my computer for ages completely untouched. I'm off to do that now!

Accel is awesome, probably better than Eternal's movie. Anyway, if you're trying to link continuity, ignore Core. It does not fit. No matter what. Nobunaga as Birth could be explained away, along with it taking place throughout the series, ending when Date leaves, hence the ending. However, the Medal count, and every Greeed alive at the end negates it. It's less of a headache to ignore it. Just like the OOO Wonderful, it isn't canon. There is no way for the Medal count to work (that's the most glaring point of discontinuity). Fourze new stuff:

Anyways, new stuff. fourze181a.jpgfourze182a.jpgYuki gets herself a stalker, who is a Zodiart (see below).fourze183a.jpgYuki also gets to meet the Red-Eyed Man, who we can now call Gabou Mitsuaki.fourze180a.jpgfourze184a.jpgAnd this is the Ara Zodiart, who appears in Episodes 9 & 10. Uses telekinesis and fire, and proves to be a bit too hot for Fourze.

Movie Wars stuff (confirming X's return):

-Instead of three part it is a five part movie. Introduction, OOO, bridge story (7 Riders vs Foundation X), Fourze, Movie War.-After meteors crash on Earth. KR Poseidon appears who has core medals. KR Poseidon comes from the future and his target is Eiji. He wipes out the Ridevender squad.-Anhk returns-Foundation X has among its ranks Masquerade Dopants, Yummies and Zodiarts switchers.-Gentaro and KRC club set up a KR exhibit for the culture fest. They are attacked.-The mysterious KR Nadshiko appears. Who has two armed Rockets. It was mentioned the Kamen Riders in the Fourze site are still fighting around the world. And has the status of Urban Legends. But we get now a possible common enemy why they are active. They are fighting Foundation X. We see Foundation X funding evil organizations and co-opting their monster devices. They are a shadow group unseen for the most part. But it seems other Riders took up the slack fighting them while current riders fight their current enemies.

Unlike the previous Movie Wars, this one is not split up in three parts that have separate plots. Instead, it's split up in 5 parts. Starting with a prologue → OOO → Bridge → Fourze and it's all connected at the end of the MEGA MAX part. The 7 Legendary Riders appear in order to stop Foundation X.[hide]fourze171a.jpgfourze172a.jpgThe previous Riders exists as urban legends in Fourze's story, but in actuality they do exist. As they used to fight against evil in the shadows.fourze173a.jpgfourze175a.jpgThe enemy this time uses inventions based around Gaia Memories, Core Medals and Switches in order to start a special plan.fourze176a.jpgFourze's setting is at the school festival. As Gentaro is writing a report on the urban legends called Kamen Rider, a group of star dust soldiers called Dustard. (It's sort of an anagram of star dust)fourze177a.jpgOOO's part is set after the final episode. Eiji has been traveling around the world, but the Foundation tells him to come back.A meteorite crashes and causes a distortion in time. (The guy was not amused, removed for language)This distortion brings along a man by the name of Miharu Minato. He uses a mysterious belt along with 3 mysterious Medals. He's a complete mystery, but he seems to be somehow connected to Kougami.fourze178a.jpgfourze179a.jpg

Finally watched Accel: really good. One thing which struck me about the W Returns films is that they were quite action heavy, while the series itself didn't have that many fight scenes. Looking forward to next week's Fourze - judging by the preview it looks like we're going to see the Fire States. It seems a bit too soon after Elec States - I wonder how many states we're going to get in total? Fourze having the modules means he doesn't really need states - but again I'm not complaining, they still look cool.

Episode 10: N/A - 11/06Even Tomoko transformed into the Zodiarts after Ritsuko. To save her, Gentaro takes her to the moon.

From this summary it looks like Goth-Girl will become a Zodiart, she'll probably fulfill an informant/computer support role for the Kamen Rider Club . Also the Red-Eyed Man being the Principle/Head Teacher of Amanogawa... makes sense. If he's the cause of the Zodiarts, it explains why the school hasn't been closed down, or at least investigated. Kengo, Gentaro and Yuki's teacher is called - Sarina Sonada - which can be rearranged to form 'sasori nanoda' which means 'I am the Scorpion' in Japanese. Interesting... Edited by Ultrapunch

We know he's not Scorpio/Scorpion. He's obviously Alternative Zero. But seriously, in the preview for episode 8, the subs state something along the lines of having lost humanity, and Scorpio is shown as being talked to, or implied to be. This seems to imply that Scorpio/the elite Zodiarts have all gone Last One, and are only Zodiarts now. At least, I believe that theory. As for States, it's rumored he'll obtain a water powered State...but aside from that, no idea. Probably Base, Elek, Fire, Water (?) - Mid Season (FangJoker, Tajador), final (Xtreme, Putotyra). One final note; in episode 7, it's hilarious that the teacher made them write "reflection", considering.

On the topic of AgitoAgito is awesome, I'm watching it bit by bit as TV-Nihon release subs, but I'm loving it. The dynamic between the 3 main riders and how it evolves is really interesting. Definitely looking forward to seeing more. On the topic of FourzeIf all the boss Zodiarts are based around the Zodiac, then there should be 12 of them. We're almost 10 episodes in and so far we've seen glimpses of Virgo, Leo and Libra and had significant interactions with Scorpio. If we're going to get through all 12 of them (13 if there's a Ophiuchus Zodiart), Fourze'd better hurry up. I suppose a few could be movie Zodiarts, and if the Kamen Rider Sagu (Sagittarius) rumour is true than that'll lower the number to around 7~9 ish. If they've all gone Last One, than presumably there bodies will be lying around somewhere. Or maybe they've decomposed or something? What will happen if Fourze turns off the switch and there is no body to return to?

MEGAMAX Updates!OOO

aqua_ooo.jpg

MEGAMAX will also feature Kamen Rider Aqua, who is also Miharu Minato, who is also Kamen Rider Poseidon.Apparently Aqua is Good, Poseidon is bad. Aqua also doesn't seem to use Core Medals. So perhaps Poseidon is a Core powered Aqua, so Aqua could be a basic form similar to Den-O's Plat Form. About the Core Medals, if alchemists from 800 years ago can make Core Medals, I'm pretty sure the Kougami Foundation or Foundation X can. And (I know we're to ignore Core) but Kougami can make a Greeed-esque body for Nobunaga they could probably make a new Greeed body for Ankh. Fourze

fourze157b.jpg

Just Fourze and Nadeshiko fighting the Virgo Zodiarts...but on the far right there's a small picture of the Greeeds and Terror, Claydoll, Red Nasca Dopants! Interesting as they should all be dead. There's also another picture from the Movie War section showing all the riders in a row (7 legendary riders, Nadeshiko, Fourze, OOO, W, Aqua).Interesting, so Aqua and Nadeshiko will play a part in the final portion. There's also a scan from Telebi-Kun which says 'The New Year is Heeeere!' and has silhouettes of Fourze using a rocket module on each arm, and a mystery character! And it says 'Happy New Year' and 1st January 2012. Hmmm.

HOLD ON. Kiva is NOT the pinnacle of ANYTHING. The designs are the only really good thing about the series. IXA is OK, and a far better rider then... HIM. I HATE Wataru. He gets no real development, spams Emperor Form, and ARGH THE STORY JUST MAKES NO SENSE. It's got more plot holes than Kabuto, and THAT is saying something. Agito and Kuuga, and Faiz Movie are basically god tier.W is Best Tier, Fourze is shaping up for it.Hibiki First Half and Blade are Great Tier.OOO, Ryuki and Faiz are Mid-Tier.Kabuto and Den-O are Low Tier.Kiva, Decade, and Hibiki Second Half are RAGE TIER. I agree that the hypochondriac, timid Waturu becoming Kiva is a bit unbelievable, but I still enjoy Kiva for the whole gothic theme and nostalgia reasons as it was my first full series. I also agree that the 2nd half of Hibiki was disappointing after the first one, especially as Asumu didn't get to transform.Decade was a mess, enjoyable, but made no sense. Thanks for trying to impart your very personal opinions as facts. It's greatly appreciated. ---- Finally got my first Figuarts - Kiva Emperor Form. Really is stunning with all the detail put into him. So yeah new info's out on MEGAMAX. It's really shaping up to be an awesome movie. I can't wait for the triple henshin scene between OOO, W, and Fourze. But of course, I should probably start watching Fourze so I'll have some understand of what's going on half the time. ...Still haven't started it. >_< ~|ET||~

About Kiva, the story has holes, but nothing has more holes than Kabuto. I watched Kabuto and Kiva close together; Kiva was so much better in terms of story. Only a few holes comparatively. As for Megamax and the Dopants, remember, Gaia Memories are mass produced. Technically the Museum Dopants aren't "revived"; more Memories are just found/made. After all, as we see in the Eternal movie, X keeps data, so they no doubt just remade those Gold Memories (if they are indeed Gold, but I'd assume so, since both Taboo Memories were Gold...). Also, just saw Fourze 8 last night. I hate to say it - I really do - but I'm starting to enjoy Fourze. I wanted so much to hate it based on the initial designs and the more comedic approach, but the characters are just really interesting. Unlike OOO. W had an amazing universe, OOO did not, Fourze does once more. Makai Senki still beats Fourze, at least. And Gokaiger.

The Kabuto suits were glorious (not so much on Drake and Gatack to me, but I digress), but the plot holes were ridiculous. The characters outside of Tendou were great (I never cared for Daisuke, though, or Tsurugi after he became comic relief, along with the Hoppers at that point), but the suits are downright amazing; the main draw of the series, I'd say.
