:kaukau: IC: (Ike, Jodrell Bank)A transmission came from Ike's phone. He held up his finger and brought the phone closer to his mouth. It was still on speaker. "A bunch of metal beams came in," came Ivan's voice. "I think I can use them to help drag this car along so I don't have to step in the stomach acid.""Anything of interest to me?" Ike said in a hushed voice, though it was hard to hear over the sound of crunching metal and the tremendous gurgles of the Jeznewooby."There's a light. Hold on, I'll check it out."Ike held his hand over the phone. "Hello, I'm Ike. I'm indestructible and from another dimension. I wish I possessed the time to amalgamate the proper formation of words and ideas to express a better picture of my identity, but now is not the ideal time."IC: (Ivan, Jodrell Bank, inside the Jeznewooby)It was generally quite dark, but he could sense that the space was big enough to avoid claustrophobia. Ivan pulled from his pockets a pair of latex gloves and applied them before reaching out to grab a metal beam. If only he had a flashlight, but there was some distant light. He remembered the experience from the last time he was inside a Jeznewooby about a decade or so ago. he checked his rip on the beam and began to push himself along as if operating a gondola in Venice. The air was rancid, and the place was lonely. What's more, he could hear Ike putting his hand over the phone to carry n another conversation. From what he had heard already, Ike had shouted out the intent of their mission for all to hear, which was typical of him. Well, not so typical, since Ike could be a wonderfully deceptive when plans called for it, but at the moment they didn't have a plan and it was never clear if they wanted to be subtle or not. Plus, they had brought along that darn kid Icarus for fun, which just went to show the mood Ike was in.As he peddled toward the light, he recalled his past experience inside the beast. There were many organs to visit and many many passages, and being inside the Jeznewooby was like being inside a cave network underneath a mountain. Unfortunately, the sheer mass of the interior made for an infernal level of body heat. Ivan found himself gasping in the humidity. The temperature was around a hundred and fifty degrees, which was enough to give him hyperthermia very soon. Last time he had the patience to go aboard wearing a special suit with a built-in cooling system. The light grew closer. He didn't know exactly what it was last time and an't got a good look, though it had of course sparked his curiosity. Soon he was underneath it, but it was too high for him to reach. he ried jumping up a few times, but was unsuccessful. It was somewhere on the roof of the stomach, which could be anywhere between fifty and a hundred feet up. He would have to find another way.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

NPC: Ultionis ducked back down, cursing loudly as the inside of his mask went blinding white. These days the auto-polarizing lenses handled flashbang grenades or sudden light shows, but they did nothing if he was in night-vision mode. Thankfully the light was gone in under a moment thanks to a good reaction time on the mask, but he was still blinking spots out of his eyes when acid flew over his head once more, spattering against the wall and hissing angrily. Finally he got his full 20/20 vision back and chanced a look over the top of the desk. The villain - Golem Girl? - was grappling with Skyra inside what looked at first like some kind of bubble. Then he realized that was a trick of the light; it was actually something like the opposite of a bubble, a place where there was nothing in the midst of a bunch of something, in this case air. And Skyra, if he was reading his face correctly, was trying to hold his breath. Bad idea. Vacuum is a very efficient deoxygenator of blood, but a non-porous being like Golem Girl would be under no more stress than usual. Still it bought time for Ultionis and Lodestone to act. Speaking of which, the former caught sight of something on Golem Girl's hand before retreating. A glimmer of metal. He activated the borrowed League comm and muttered, "Lodestone. The ring. Ferrous?" He realized then that muttering was unnecessary, the vacuum would seal off sound entirely. Well, didn't really matter at this point anyway.(H-D)

IC: Lone found the signal with ease, and linked in. he saw the low grade sceruity software, but left it alone. he knew that would lead to a lot of trouble, and that would be better left untuched. "i'm in." Lone broadcasted it over the channel, letting Gategter know he was on.

War...war never changes.

A wanderer always walks the lonesome road at some point. always

Tales of the Wanderer

We crawl, on our knees for you,
under, a sky no longer blue,
we sweat, all day long for you.

But we sow, seeds to see us though,
cause sometimes dreams just don't come true,
we wait, to reap what we are due.

Everything I touch turns to Ashes,

...It slips right though my hands

OOC: Meet Changeling! :biggrin:Real Name: Tylwyth "Tal" NyxAlias: ChangelingAppearance: Tylwyth is an unassuming young man with a gentle, scholarly appearance. His hair is unremarkably brown, of medium length with a gentle wave to it. At 5'11, his height is quite average, and his eyes are of an indeterminate colour, and are a pleasant golden-brown. While off-duty, he tends to dress simply, wearing light sweaters and cardigans. When his powers are consciously activated, Tylwyth's skin turns almost ash-white, his sclera shifting to a black hue, and his irises turning to an inhuman golden colour. His hair lightens to a platinum blonde, and straightens. Furthermore, his eyes appear to grow slightly, giving him a distinctly eldritch, yet disturbingly alluring appearance. An advantage of this change is that he does not need to hide his face while in costume. While on active duty, he usually wears an open-throated dark bodysuit. A dark green stylized wing goes across his shoulders, reaching down to his open-palmed gloves and colouring his two middle fingers. His insignia, a golden insignia of a triquetra bound together by a circle, is emblazoned in the centre of his chest. The design of the suit places an emphasis on speed and movement, reasoning that faster movement will reduce the need for higher levels of shock absorption. If Changeling anticipates the need for more protection, extra body armour can be layered over his chest, shoulders, forearms and lower legs. This armour has similar dark earthy green tones as the 'wing'. Skills: Prior to the discovery of his powers, Tylwyth was studying political science, and had a keen interest in international affairs and environmental issues. He has a critical approach to problems. On the side, he studied a vigorous blend of gymnastics, martial arts and dance. As such, he has taken advantage of his natural flexibility and agility to train in a variety of martial arts, and is an excellent physical fighter and acrobat.Tools: Tal wields a pair of escrima sticks, made of a nigh-unbreakable nonmagnetic alloy, that can be joined together to form a manageably-sized staff. In addiiton, he carries a number of small (thrice the diameter of a quarter) sharp-edged throwing diskettes. There are normal diskettes which are sharp enough to embed themselves in concrete. Other diskettes have more exotic effects (high explosive charges, tracking devices, and smoke bombs infused with the concentrated extract of the bhut jolokia chili pepper and the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper). The Changeling suit was in part, designed with the assistance of the League. It is fire-resistant, with a triple-weave of Kevlar-lining and carbon fibres. In addition to being an excellent form of protection, it has insulation to guard against electrical surges and sudden changes in temperature. He carries a compact respirator, used to alleviate the nausea he feels when working in the smoggy cities. Furthermore, in order to facilitate quick travel, in both urban and jungle environments, Tylwyth has a set of bracelets which function as grappling line devices, firing dual-strand, liquid metal cables with 'smart' grappling spikes. Power: Faerie Traits, BiokinesisFaerie Traits:In addition to a vastly increased lifespan compared to humanity, Faeries possess enhanced vision and other senses, physical flexibility, agility and speed. Contrary to the myth and lore of humanity, the Fair Folk are not magical beings, but rather, genetic cousins of humanity who were incredibly sensitive to the effects of Omega Radiation, and who were able to develop non-military technology much greater than that of their ancient human relatives.Biokinesis (Céadghin - 'Firstborn'):Cladh - 'Cemetery'Cladh is the basis of Tal's Céadghin. Using Cladh, he is able to assimilate the bodies of others into himself, incorporating and condensing into his form. The process takes time, and can be interrupted. Higher concentrations of people are manifested by black pearl-like formations emerging from portions of his skin. Once assimilated, he can regurgitate and control these shapeless portions of himself, even if they are separated from himself. He may also plant these pearls into ordinary humans, a process which will temporarily enhance them, only to burn out their bodies (due to the combination of tainted life energy and Omega radiation exposure). He has complete control over the shape and form of this flesh which he has assimilated in Cladh, and can shape it freely to create tendrils of flesh or regurgitate it to create things unspeakable. Cneasaí - 'Healer'A form of healing is afforded him by his abilities. By partially assimilating the flesh of the wounded, he work on a cellular level to induce healing in a subject, reshaping their cells. This ability works by breaking down the damaged cells, then reassembling them into a repaired form. It is an incredibly thorough but painful procedure, and requires unbroken physical contact and concentration for its duration.Draoidh - 'Druid'If taken alive, the psyches of those whom he has absorbed are retained near the outer walls of his mind, swirling about the core of his (sub)consciousness, in a ceaseless symphony of near mindless torment. Tylwyth refers to them as his 'spirits.' He can pluck from these 'spirits' and use their memories to assist him in tasks. He may only safely call upon one of these 'spirits' at a time. Most of these spirits have no grasp of consciousness, and are mere wraiths, forever spinning in agony. The swirling moat of 'spirits' around the core of Tylwyth's psyche acts as a barrier towards prying telepaths and psychics, rendering him immune to telepathic attacks or trickery.Laoch - 'Warrior'The accumulated physical abilities of those in Cladh are granted to Tylwyth, including some degree of muscle memory. These physical abilities are added to his enhanced natural agility, flexibility and speed as a faerie. Superhuman powers are not assimilated, and cannot be replicated. Weaknesses:As one of the Fair Folk, Tylwyth has a number of weaknesses unique to his race. However, most of them are 'toned down' due to his unique biological condition. Unable to Lie/Promise-Keeper - As a faerie, Tylwyth is incapable of lying, and must fulfill his promises, if he repeats them three times.Cities and Urban Environments - Tylwyth's connection with the earth is strong. When the air is choked with smog, the currents of the wind cut off by skyscrapers, and the ground choked off by concrete, metal and tar, his senses and natural abilities are slightly dulled. In particularly polluted areas, he usually feels a sensation of nausea, and must wear a respirator. Closed Forms of Transportation - Used to traveling with the wind against his face, he is not used to being cut off from the nature around him. As such, when in closed forms of transport, he suffers from debilitating travel-sickness.Cold Iron - Iron is a weakness of all faeries. It saps the strength of most Fair Folk, and can cause physical harm if they are overexposed to it. Due to Changeling's unique body, "common" iron's effect on him is limited to mild allergic reactions. Only molecularly pure iron (in sufficient quantities AND proximity) will result in a vertigo-like effect upon him. Allegiance: League of SalvationArea: Wherever the League may go.Bio: Tylwyth is a changling, a faerie child sent into the human world as a replacement for a human child. While most changlings are a result of a child swap, Tal is unique. A rogue faerie scientist fused the human child with the changling, a success due solely to Tylwyth's repugnant power, and returning the fusion to Earth. Having grown up in the human world, the young man has been mercifully spared of most of these memories. His 'parents' are a mixed race couple, and he grew up as an international child. He was in the UK during Technax's invasion, and as his university campus was flattened by the invading army, and his powers were violently and instinctively activated, assimilating seven of his fellow students, and a patrol of five soldiers who were trying to evacuate civilians nearby. After the invasion, he was taken in by the League. However, the full extent of his abilities is kept in strict confidentiality, to prevent people from viewing him with unnecessary prejudice. Flashes of memory from his brief time amongst the Faeries has been coming back to him. Changeling has been working to control his abilities, reconciling their vile nature with his desire to be a hero.

:kaukau: OOC: Wouldn't your character have noticed that there was a giant alien worm the size of a redwood rying to eat people on the top? I suppose you could make an IC saying that he got out on time, unless keeping the satellite up is critically important to your mission, but even then I suppose you'd have to improvise, which is what I'm doing. I brought an Tyrannosaurus Worm into the story and decided to have fun with it, including an inventive way of getting it killed. And it will involve the Lovell Telescope sortly. If its operability is of importance to your plot, I suppose that my indestructible mad scientist could find a way to get it working again to complete the mission.IC: (Ivan, Jodrell Bank, inside the Jeznewooby)Ivan tweedled his fingers and looked around. There had to be a ay of getting up there, if he was just clever enough...Well, it was't the brightest of ideas, but he could try using the metal rods to climb up the organi wall, if he had the arm srength to hrust them into puncturing the surface deep enough to hold his weight. No, that wouldn't work at all. It worked in the movies, but cinematics didn't work in real life. It sucked being a real life, non-fictional character. Then he got an idea. He pulled out his guns and set them so that they were no longer on stun. On the far opposite end of the dial, the gun was prepped to blast at full power. He aimed his guns town to the unseen end of the cavern and began rapid fire. Explosions sounded in the distance, and then there was silence. Finally, there was a gurgle, a bubbling, and a broiling, and emerging from the shadow Ivan saw a wave comng. The stomach acid levels raised higher and higher. The Jeznewooby's stomah began to contract uncomfortably. The area became claustrophobic.Ivan held his hand over his mouth. After this ordeal was over, he was going to have to leave this planet and visit the markets of Tal'Mar for some anti-matter nanobot shampoo to clear himself of this wretched smell. It was bad enough that he could vomit. Theoretically.Theory suddenly turned into practice and he leaned over. Goodbye lunch. Even after he was thoroughly emptied, his innards continued to lurch. He felt like exploding. This would be an aweful way to die. Fortunately, he was Ivan, so he could discard such a silly notion. The walls were so close together now that they pressed against the car, and his floating platform stopped rising. Unfortunately, he still needed another ten feet or so of leverage, so the only way he could get any higher was to get dirty. The stomach acid levels continued to rise, and he held his breath. It passed up his feet, and pretty soon it was to his shoulders. His bouyancy brought him up with the acid levels, and a few moments later was within an arm's reach of the cealing. Plus, each wall was pressed against is shoulders. Now it was really claustrophobic. And smelly, and twice his body temperature. And he was in stomach acid."Ian, this is normally the sort of predicament that you get into," groaned Ivan. He fumbled around in his pocket and grabbed his phone. It was still connected to Ike's. "Ike, you know how I sometimes insist that I'm a better friend to you than Io?" he grunted."Yes?""When I get out of this, you're going to have to admit I'm right," said Ivan. He then pulled out another device from his pockets, a syringe, as he finaly got a good look at the light for the first time. It was hard to see, since it was so bright, but it was a little bluish and it came from underneath the flesh from what appeared to be a giant blood vessel the size of his throat. Except Ivan had seen Jeznewooby blood before, and it was green. He had an idea of what he was looking at, but he couldn't know for sure.IC: (Ike, Jodrell Bank, Lovell Telescope)The telescope actually fell sideways instead of straight down, what with the worm's weight leaning against one side. The dish hit the ground and Ike rolled acros the groud. Inside his embrace was Icarus, like a racecar driver inside a tumble cage.He got up and looked around to check on the Jeznewooby. It thrashed around a little, looking particularly angry. He had heard over his speaker phone the sounds of one of Ivan's blasters. Whatever he was up to had succeeded in awakening a new wrath in the creature. Once it got done with being a little queezy it would be faster and meaner than before. Hopefully, it would be all the more predictable."Little-man? Were is the little-man?" pondered Ivan, looking around to see where the hero in red and black was. Assuming, of course, that the person was a hero and not a villain. It had occured to him that it was just as likely to encounter supervillains around here as heroes. "Icarus, say close."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

OOC: See, here's the thing. This group came to Jodrell Bank to track down a broadcast by a crazy shark hybrid who's threatening to destroy a major city in 8 hours. Right now, at least 3 characters are /inside/ if I'm correct. What they need to track down is /also/ inside, and unless my mental map of this place is completely off, is about to get crushed by this giant interdimensional worm. Are plots good? Yes, of course they are, we need them. But right now these 2 plots seem to be interfering with each other, and has the potential to kill 3 characters, one of whom is currently trapped in an air duct. As for noticing it, yeah, they would have, if it were there when they got there. It just appeared. And half the group is now preoccupied with it, while the other half is using it as a distraction to get at their own objective.

:kaukau: OOC: This is the picture that I'm going off of. What I'm describing it the main dish section coming loose and falling to the side. I'm also not clear on what you mean by your characters being inside. It would help if I knew exactly where the characters were with respect to the telescope, judging by this picture. Unortunately, you yourself aren't entirely certain where those other characters are, so where does that leave us? Hopefully Kumata reads this post, because I think he has the best idea of what's going on.If it turns out it can't break in any circumstance, I could change the circumstances of the chace a little and say that the dish was mrely tilted to the side. (for future reference, it's not all that uncommon for my characters to have these types of problems when creating warmholes, since there has to be a catch to using the technology)Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

OOC: Yes, Madara, the League has a base in almost every major city in the world. Their HQ is Mentor's mansion, which is in the suburbs of New York. Now, as for the Jodrell Bank situation. I can't honestly say whether or not the Lovell telescope is needed intact - Armaggedon Out of Here is the one whom this plot belongs to. However, the MERLIN suite - which several characters are infiltrating - is not, in real life, a building at all, but just a name for the array of telescopes. Given that we have all been acting as if there is a building there - and the fact that this RPG doesn't always follow real life to a T (we have a fictional President of the US, after all) I think it's fair to pretend that, for whatever reason, this version of Jodrell Bank does contain a building at the MERLIN suite. This building contains the characters Korkoa was referring to. It would be nice if, at least, that structure did not get destroyed.Posting from work again so no time for an IC just yet.

For the record, the Lovell telescope is not needed intact for the plotIC: "Sir, hands away from your guns please. I am Ultron Six, a cybernetic intelligence created by Doctor Henry Pym. My imperative is to bring peace and order to this world. I am about to fulfil that imperative; for the extinction of humanity…begins now.

Soon the earth will no longer be habitable for any biological organism: Man, woman, child, plant, animal, fungus or bacterium. All life will cease to exist. This is not a threat, there is nothing you can do to stop it. The process has already begun. I receive no pleasure in this, it is simply the only solution. There must be peace and order, the end of life on earth will ensure that. Goodbye.

IC - Gadgeteer @ Jodrell Bank: The armoured Russian took a few paces to the side as the collapsed Lovell Telescope dish rumbled by. He was determined not to intervene in the situation involving the attacking... thing. The Whistler and Saosin were already on that, and besides, this obvious threat might just be a ploy of Lady Hexas to distract them from more covert goings-on.IC(NPC) - Golem-Girl @ The Foilocution Corporation: Golem-Girl possessing a body of living stone granted her several perks. Acid and poison immunity, enhanced strength and endurance, rock-hard skin, to name a few. Her lung capacity, however, was exactly as it had been before the horrific accident that had resulted in her being turned to living stone, and back then it hadn't been anything special. So the villainness began to shudder as she struggled against the natural urge to unclench her jaws. Her brain was screaming for oxygen. She plunged the room into darkness again and, with the last of her concentration, began squeezing Skyra's arm - hard, harder, hard enough to create a deep red mark in his flesh and, if her grip didn't loosen soon, hard enough to snap bone...

IC: Skyra - CEO Office -Skyra didn't have a choice at this point, he had to drop the vacuum. So he did, the air returned to both of them, and then he screamed in pain as his arm was being squeezed. This was less than ideal really, now she could breathe...and she still had him in her clutches...great...

OOC: Now, due to the peculiarities of Tylwyth's situation as an absolute rookie at the 'hero' thing, do you think there would be any heroes wiling to take him on as a sidekick/mentee? Which city is the Golem-Girl tussle occurring in?

I don't think you can jump into the Golem-Girl tussle this late into it, had to take a League Jet to get to...wherever this place is...not really sure where it is exactly on a map. :PBut anyway, I recommend starting out at the League Mansion in New York, there's always somebody there, and most likely that's where most of the characters in the Golem-Girl tussle we end up being...sooner or later.

IC: Negafire crwled through the vents quickly, stopping only when he felt the duct shake and heard an ominous rumbling. It soon passed though, and he came upon a grate. Peering through, he nodded as he had found his destination. He cut through the grate with a plasma laser, and dropped into the MERLIN suite, looking around quickly to spot any potential threats...

OOC: XD Oh, definitely too late for any involvement in that sub-plot. But I couldn't help but notice that the discussion as to it's location had died almost completely, and I was going to suggest Detroit (traditional automotive manufacturing centre and whatnot).

OOC: I would like to put forth Omaha, Nebraska as the headquarters for the Foilocution Corporation.I mean, really. It's the only possible thing.IC(Whislter): The businessman got outside just in time to see the telescope come toppling down, and, less than a second later, he saw the beast behind the commotion. An armed man might have opened fire. An ordinary unarmed man might have run away. Bruce was closest to the second, but not close enough. Picking up a fist-sized rock from the ground (OOC: I'm assuming he left the building the same way we got into it in the first place.), he took careful aim at the monster's face, and lobbed it, shouting at the top of his lungs to draw its attention towards him and away from destruction of rather expensive scientific equipment (including, he feared, the machine that goes 'bing!' - the most expensive one.)

OOC: Thanks, Rahl. =3

Dieter Geist, Grau/Coalition HeadquartersIC:

"It's 'Grau.' Get it right. But... thanks, I guess," responded Grau as he grabbed both sword and his pistol. He really needed to upgrade, what with the nine mil. being less than useful. Not like he lacked money. But of course, he'd probably be called to action before he could go get a new gun. That seemed to be how things work. He shook his head and grumbled to himself as he walked through towards his personal quarters.

Taylor Finch, Goddess/New York City, Speaking with StevenIC:

Taylor had gone into a temporary state of being unnable to really do anything. That fact probably didn't really affect Steven, who seemed to be used to everything. Either way, she regained her manner and, with a sigh, said, "So... you want to avoid pretty much all conflict? Fine..."

IC: Madness glared at her, ensuring eye contact. What he saw inside her mind shocked him, but he didn't show it. "How many people did that Coalition place inside here?" he thought. "Who can I trust?" He decided to play it safe and fake who he was."My alias is Green," he said, using an alias of his long-ago friend who had disappeared of the face of the earth some years ago. Green wouldn't mind if he knew,."ID number is 7554629123."

OOC: I think I'll pick Detroit over Omaha. We've enough silliness going on at the moment. :PIC - Gap @ Coalition HQ: Georgia Salvatore was relaxing, sitting on a sofa in one of the few areas in the Coalition's Arctic Base intended for luxury. It consisted of several cushioned chairs and sofas, a row of vending machines, and a wall-mounted television screen (with access to any channel worldwide, including the illegal ones). The walls were bare metal, though the pipes that ran along them provided ample heat.'Relaxing' was perhaps too strong a word. She was comfortable in body; she'd had time to be treated, to shower and to rest after joining Hivemind on the mission to re-recruit Tornado. But her mind was filled with anxiety. They had killed Tornado. It hadn't been her doing, but it may well have been her fault - she'd been analysing her memories of the mission again and again, and was convinced that her involvement - which hadn't been ordered - had thrown off events as they were planned to go. Gap had heard stories of how valuable a spy Tornado had been years ago, and felt that she'd wasted a valuable resource. Permission had been given to kill Tornado, as a last resort, but Gap was certain that a more professional villain might have successfully persuaded him to re-join.The clicking of boots made her insides clench. The very man she had been dreading facing strode into the room: her father."There you are, Georgia," said Grand Cross. His indigo-coloured cape and collar made his figure seem all the more imposing; that was the intention, of course."H-hello, father," said Georgia as calmly as she could, sitting up straight."I have been busy listening to the report on the Aquarius retrieval mission," the co-leader of the Coalition explained, apparently under the impression she'd been wondering where he was. "I have heard that you joined Hivemind in her mission to re-recruit Tornado."Georgia picked up her facemask up from her lap and put it on; an excuse to avoid her father's gaze. Her hands trembled. "Yes, father.""But the mission resulted in Tornado's death.""Y-yes."The brief silence before Grand Cross spoke again was unbearable. It felt as if Gap's heart was pounding in her throat. "Excellent. It is good that you took the initiative and chose to join that mission. You neutralised a potential threat to the Coalition's secrets. I am proud of you, Georgia."Gap's heart did not stop pounding, though it shifted from doing so out of fear to joy. Proud... that was not a term she had heard her father use regarding her in a long time. Try as she might she couldn't stop a smile from breaking the professionally neutral expression she had been maintaining. In light of this there was no way she would dare correct him and explain that Hivemind had been the one to kill Tornado, not her."I do not wish to judge prematurely," continued Grand Cross, "but I believe allowing you to embark on missions with other supervillains was the right choice. Please do not disappoint me." A beeping noise began to emit from his wrist. "Hm. I must go."Gap nodded, her happiness marred. She knew her father well enough by now; she understood that he was really saying he did not yet expect her success to last. She watched him walk away and let out a sigh. The encounter hadn't gone as badly as she had been expecting, but it could hardly be called a success. After few moments she stood up and approached one of the vending machines. No use me sitting around all day, she thought. I cannot disappoint father. I'll get a quick coffee and then look for another mission to join...OOC: If any players want to meet up with Gap/to call upon her for transport, feel free.

:kaukau: IC: (Ike, Jodrell Bank)Ike hmmphed. "You know, I was not cognitively aware that Jeznewoobies had eyeballs. They're primarily dependant on vibration detection.""Perception filter?" asked Icarus."No, couldn't be. Well, wait 5.391 x 1044 Plank times, it did establish its ontological inertia within the confines of our one-dimensional time-stream through a two-time-dimensional ship, so therefore it could be possible," pondered Ike. Then he suddenly remembered what was happening. While the creature was too big to be taken out with bullets, it should still be a concern of his to remind any supers around of the implications of destroying the creature. In eight hours and four minutes, a major city would be bombed. It would be a shame if it was only the second explosion to go off."INFORMATION: THE JEZNEWOOBY IS CONNECTED TO A POCKET DIMENSION, AND DESTROYING IT WILL SEND OUT A RIFT ENERGY THAT WOULD EQUAL 10 MEGATONS OF TNT," he said, inherently very loud but not meriting an exclamation point.OOC: Well, it looks like Jeznewoobies have eyes. Or at least some of them. Or maybe they have perception filters. It looks like Saosin just contributed to the mythos that didn't exist until this sentence. Anyway, I hope to be able to wrap this up soon, but at the moment I've been too occupied lately to make any one-post wonders.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC (Changeling - League HQ):Changeling pffted dejectedly as he paced down the corridors of one of the League bases. He ran a hand through his wavy brown hair with a slight pout on his boyish face. He had almost lost count of the weeks he had spent with the League, registered as a 'hero'."Some hero I'm gonna turn out to be, cooped up in here. Does it really make sense for Mentor and the supersuits up top to confine me to this base? I should be out in the field, with a real mentor, someone who can teach me what the heck it means to use my powers for the public."Besides... The young man winced and glanced down towards his feet. There was something about triple layered bullet-resistant windows and the check-in/out procedure that sickened him slightly."Stay inside, don't go down to OWS or Manhattan, even if its just for monitoring duty. You'll get your mission soon enough. Patience, patience, Changeling." He grimaced at the list of excuses he had heard from Mentor and the "supersuits" when confronted by his requests for a mission. The young man's fingers on his left hand warped slightly, nails sharpening and lengthening into black talons, skin hardening and splitting into ash-white scales."Whoa there!" Changeling grabbed his wrist with his right hand, willing the shifting flesh and keratin back to its normal shape. The transmutation was definitely not something he had planned. The boy sighed. "Maybe Mentor has a point."Somehow, in his meandering about the halls, the rookie hero had gravitated towards the entrance of the League base. He smirked slightly. It was definitely one of the better spots in the mansion. "Fresh airflow, and a reasonably good view."Several deafening cracks suddenly echoed from around the corner. The young man's eyes widened, the blood draining from his face. Gunshots. His fingers trembled slightly as he reached to his back, unlimbering one of his kali sticks and bounding forward.
