Set Review: 9442 Jay's Storm Fighter

Recommended Posts

The whole set looks pretty cool. I like all of the blue and the sleek design. However, there was probably no point for Snappa to be in it.

Role play, in this case. You want kids to be able to act out some sort of conflict to keep them interested. Back in the day, single-faction themes and sets were common, and the expectation was that kids would buy a set with a different faction if they wanted to act out a conflict, but in the past couple decades TLG's caught on to the fact that if you include the potential for conflict-driven role play in a single set then kids will get more enjoyment out of that set and will be more likely to buy another.

Jay's Storm Fighter is quite a nice set, and has some great pieces. The action feature is great once the pins have been worked in a bit. Thanks for the review!
