I really wanted hate this just so I could continue the epic streak of dissatisfaction, and I wasn't a big fan of the opening movement, but I was so down with the texture they wove in the instrumental section from like 2:30 to 4:45 that by the time the vocals came back, I was into it :P and the fact that they then followed it up with another instrumental movement totally won me over. Against all my expectations, I have to give this a 6/5. That was a freaking symphony. I'm still recovering. Holy cow.

EDIT: it even made me forget to post a new song!!

3.5/10. It's a really nice Symphonic Techno Piece, which reflects the futuristic vibe of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

However, It fails to be my favourite Xenoblade song, because this one exists.

4/5 I'm digging the upbeat feel of it. Pretty sweet. Minus one because I don't usually listen to this kind of music, and if I had a choice,I probably would choose something that I'm more familiar with.

Oh, not again. The video must be region locked or something. Anyway...

3/5 It's alright, but there's really not much to it, and it kinda lacks the punch for how grandiose it's trying to be. Sounds like it could be from the soundtrack of a Civilization game.

Stylistically not something I'd seek out. Technically intricate and fascinating though. I dug the flute interlude. 4/5

speaking of woodwinds in genres that don't usually have woodwinds, let's bring the bass clarinet into folk/roots music. it's about time.
