Can Bzp Track Your Ip Address Once You Are Banned?

Recommended Posts

Yes, because IP addresses are one of the ways the site enforces the ban. I know this from experience on other, test forums that run IPB. The IPs stay, because they're tied to your posts, and such; however, they are only viewable by the higher up staff, I believe. That one I'm not sure of, since I think it differs from site to site.

This about sums it up. Usually on forums only the Admins can see IPs, but it varies. The forum software may be different for IPB than what I've seen, but IP address should be tied to each individual post you make. Now, if your account were deleted, I'd assume your IP probably wouldn't remain on the site, but I'm not sure how the database on BZP works, so it's possible even then one's IP would be viewable.

Generation reeeeeeeeeeeee: If you see this, don't copy it into your signature. Get off your computer. Go outside! Go for a walk! Appreciate the beauty of the world while you're young and energetic and full of unwarranted enthusiasm.
