Toa of Nerds
On my profile and next to my name in the forum it displays that I have "three warning points." I've never seen these before. When I click on it, it goes to my "warn history" and I see three "warnings." Two are from Black Six from a couple of years ago when I got proto, and one is Smeag on October 10, 2009. I never received any warning or message from him that I can remember, and there aren't any details given. What is this? Is this a bug or something? Can other people see it?-don't touch my pocket protector Three great comedies at one low, low price....NOTHING! Peach 00
Yes - everybody has them. It is the text-version of showing how many proto-points you have. If it had a - before the number, then you'd be worried. The warn history shows when you were given your proto points.Hope this helps! On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away slipped away... WriterofReapers
The forums have the Proto system backwards. What we consider to be good (AKA, getting proto) is considered by them to be getting a warning. The inverse is true when you lose Proto. In short, it's nothing to worry about and is simply a new (if perhaps misleading) name for an already in place concept. ◇ Lacertus ◇
Sumiki
Warning Points have always been there. They are the part of the forum software that higher-up Staff members can access, and in the recent upgrade, members have the opportunity to see their own. It is outwardly displayed in every post as your Proto Energy bar. More warning points is good; negative points are bad. Basically, replace "warning points" with "Proto Energy."There has been a lot of questions about this, and you would have quite easily found your answer if you looked through Q&A.EDIT: Gah. Really? A Mentor gets twice-ninja'd? I'm getting rusty. Edited June 7, 2012 by Sumiki avatar by Lady Kopaka
-Windrider-
Please see the "New Warning System" section near the top of the Official Proto Energy Topic. In addition, as Sumiki said, please at least scan the first page of Q&A before posting a topic; there have been quite a few on this subject, most of which have the title "Warning Points."Only you and higher level staff (Forum Leaders and above) can see your warn history.Question answered, topic closed.
