Hapori Tohu
The UK's New Media Age Award, for those of you who aren't aware, is an annual event created to celebrate the best of interactive media projects and to give recognition to those that deserve it. It's a highly prestigious event and I shouldn't have to tell you that getting an award there is quite an achievement. With that in mind, direct your attention to pages 6-7 of the portfolio of winners here, where Hero Factory: Breakout has netted the Grand Prix award! What this really means I'll leave to speculation because they seem intent on not revealing any specific details about what the award is or how to win it.View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A

fishers64
This game was well-built (mostly, anyway), and so it deserves the award it has recieved - whatever it is. Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories
Gatanui
Huh, everyone seems to think it´s a great game but personally, I never felt the need to exlore all those restricted areas. Still, I look forward to the new levels. Oh, and congrats! -Gata Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks! Aanchir
Huh, everyone seems to think it´s a great game but personally, I never felt the need to exlore all those restricted areas. Still, I look forward to the new levels. Oh, and congrats! -Gata I used to think Breakout was an impressive game graphically, but I didn't feel much incentive to replay it or use some of the things like the customization feature. Then came the double Hero Points month. Towards the end of June, I started playing Breakout again so I could enter my Hero Codes. This time, I took a closer look at some of the features. I played the Z'chaya level, which is amazing, and tried out customization.Until I first began customizing Heroes I hadn't realized that the blueprints you collect in the levels unlock new weapons, armor, etc. inspired by that level's villains. I also hadn't realized how wide the options for customization were. In some respects, your options are wider than in any version of the online Hero Creator, although there are some frustrating limitations (the armor combination I use on Breez consists entirely of Fortified Battle Plates, her shoulder armor from the set, which results in a configuration which is not only preposterous-looking but also impossible to build in real life since armor shells that size can't be rotated and their default configuration would make the upper legs collide with the torso, or at least have very little range of movement). The hero I use most often includes a Level 1 Breez's Helmet, a Level 1 Breez's Chestplate, eight Level 1 Fortified Battle Plates, two Level 3 Shatterers (unlockable boots from the Villain Storage), a Level 3 Breez's Gun, and some Level 3 Power Talons (unlockable weapon from Hive Planet). The level design is also pretty neat. Z'Chaya is probably my favorite level overall, what with its many options for exploration, and the only level I really dislike is Scylla which largely prevents backtracking, is almost entirely linear, and can get you killed multiple times if you don't have an effective weapon. It's also neat how the boss battles are made unique. Toxic Reapa, for instance, flees from you whenever possible, and you actually have to follow him through a huge temple if you intend to fight him after you first encounter him on Z'Chaya.Needless to say, I think this game definitely deserves this award. It's amazingly advanced compared to other online games LEGO has sponsored in the past. It's not a brilliant piece of interactive storytelling like the MNOG by any means (there is hardly any dialogue in the game), and its graphics and controls are Nintendo 64 quality at best, but overall it's pretty stunning for a free online game, and I look forward to seeing what the summer update will include. Chip Wiseman
WOW. An award. Regardless of what for, that's an achievement in itself. Can't wait for the summer update! I used to be known as 'Gresh's Thornax...Ouchy!!!', before I realised what a silly name it was. Other previous names include Lihkan435 and Chip Biscuit.
