Brickfair 2012 Alabama Wrapup

Recommended Posts

BFair_2012_AL_teaser.jpgWhile we're posting images from past events, I recently realized I never posted pictures from BrickFair Alabama! Taking place half a year ago in January in freezing Birmingham, this was BrickFair's first expansion out of the Washington DC area. And it did really well! Read on to see all the MOCs that were on display.View the full article

Nice MoCs. I liked WALL-E, and a few others in there as well, but seriously, guys? No Bionicle? No Hero Factory? What is this black magic sorcery?! Ò______Ó~Tobi
There was at least one BIONICLE MOC using a lot of Carapar's pieces in the "Other" category. Brickfair Alabama didn't exist before this year, so I guess BZPower didn't have a really strong presence there, and it shows. I wonder how small the BIONICLE sections at other, older conventions would be if not for MOCs submitted by BZPers...

Wow. I never saw pictures from BrickFair Alabama, but it looks like a nice venue. Over the next few years, I see room for large expansion in the venue, which could bring us many more tables and sections. I might be able to get some Ninjago Wiki staff down there next year to cover it as well, but if that happens, chances are that it'll be me going for the site, because I'll be the closest one to Alabama. :PAnyways, thanks for the coverage. It really helped me get a better idea of what BrickFair Alabama was like. I can't wait for BrickFair Virginia now. :)

If I actually tried putting all the stuff I like on here, the sig would burst.

I was there the whole time with Watashi Wa and Emzee. Often I was wearing a BZPower t-shirt that had my name on the back. I'm sorry if you didn't see me.
What was the other side like?

It had Hapori Tohu on the left chest. We were also often hanging out with Kevin and Jim from LEGO.

Oh right, this did happen.Nice pictures, Andrew. I'll admit that I was a bit surprised at the turnout and the quality of MOCs this year. No Bionicle section like in VA, but what was there very much made up for it. The giant chessboard was one of me favorites, along with the mosaic, which had a puzzle element to it that I couldn't solve at all.

"hey girl: here’s an idea, but… it’s up to you:

You’re the boss of this operation."
