Because baseball.

(also, yes, I misspelled "mosaic". I'm not going to change it because it's too much hassle.)

Woot, baseball! The only potential problem I have is the batter being a little horizontally squished, but otherwise, the accuracy and awesomeness of this mosaic is great.

'twas due to me using a software not inclined to like me. As soon as I realized that the batter was squished, it was half finished, and for the sake of my fingernails, I didn't want to go back over it for a redo. :P

That's awesome. The batter does look a littel weird, but hey, he's made of little white squares. Thanks Sumiki!

What happened to the batter's neck? It makes him look like a duck a little.

Without a larger scale, the blocky nature of LEGO and the slight distortion of proportion does indeed make him look like a duck from some angles.Surely you can envision him as a batter though?

The only thing I know about this is that it has to do with baseball, and that's only because I read the comments. But it is a very lovely piece, and the mosaic is wonderfully done. In regards to the neck issue, perhaps if it were possible to replace the 2X1 piece 3 studs down from his hat's bill with a blue 1X1 and a white 1X1, it would fix the issue of being neckless.
