Hapori Tohu
Last weekend at BrickFair Virginia 2012, LEGO unveiled its newest Direct To Consumer set. Since I was at the event being super busy, I didn't get a chance to post the information here until now, but here it is. The newest set in the Winter Village line is the wonderful 10229 Winter Village Cottage! Meiko
Creepy owl is CreepyWhat are you talking about? This owl is awesome. :PThis set is really awesome. I've never gotten a Winter Village set, and I think this is the first one I've seen in real life. When I was sitting at the LEGO booth at BrickFair, I got to look at a lot of the nice features this set has. If I can, I'll love to pick this up (possibly even two of them), partially for the awesome build and display qualities it could have, and also for the parts (I love the amount of dark blue 1x1 tiles on the kitchen floor). Vorahk1Panrahk2
Is the owl a new mold or just a decorated version of the old mold? Can anyone tell?Looks great, as usual (loving that chainsaw). I really do need to pick up a winter village set one day. Quote BZPRPG Profiles
Toa Smoke Monster
Anyone else think that the kitten is adorable? :love:Anyway, this looks like a really cool set. $99 isn't a bad price for it either IMO. The others were nice, but somewhat quaint in their simplicity. This one, on the other hand, is loaded down with detail. penguin_poet
This will be added to my collection for sure. My family will be taking (US) Thanksgiving weekend/my birthday weekend to set up my Winter Village display. It's quiet the community at this point. Lyichir
The owl looks great, I love it when LEGO adds more creature molds.Everyone keeps commenting on the owl, and it's not even new. The new printed owl mold originated in the 2010 Harry Potter sets. It comes in three different colors with three different patterns. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but there's so much more that's new and different in this set that it strikes me as bizarre that the owl is what seizes everyone's attention. Black Six
That's probably because I made it the teaser picture. It's hard to pick a single image that can summarize such a diverse set, but the owl really stood out (more than say the igloo, which is awesome, but wouldn't look good on the front page) so I used that. Gatanui
Fantastic set. Nice usage of a Zamor sphere, too. Only the fact that the roof is white from the inside bugs me somewhat, but all the small and beautiful details make up for it. -Gata Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks! xccj
Another interesting winter building set. Although it's a little out of my price range, I appreciate the details on it. The igloo is great, and I especially like the snow plow. Looks like it will be a fun set.
