IC: Robin pulled off, going toward a small town named Totem. He filled the tank quickly, but continued to go away from the interstate for a few minutes. The halfblood pulled a bit off the road and hopped out, starting to walk off toward a shimmering in the air.

IC: Marauder

Marauder steadied his pistol, and aimed his sights on it's head. 'Phew,' the gun went off and hit the target. Knocking him out, and rising any suspicion. But the a guard comes in from the right and kicks him to wake him up. Seeing how fast he must shoot and find every man to knockout. Only problem will be if they have helmets. When he shoots, he's going to raise the alarm, and they'll soon go after him.

OOC: New profile

Name: "Horace" Xiaohou Sun-HammerCodename: Monkey KingAge: 21.Gender: MaleFaction: Neutral (Affiliated with the Enforcers.)Power(S): Horace has the ability to make up to four physical clones of himself at a time, that he can work in tandem with. They possess all his skills and abilities (minus additional cloning) and will say whatever he wishes them to. On the downside, whenever he summons his clones back to himself, any injuries they've received will be transferred to him. Thus if one of the clones took a bullet in the leg, Horace would receive the bullet wound in his own leg, albeit without the bullet.

The summoning of clones takes up energy, and thus he can only keep them up for a limited time before he starts to get fatigued. However generally speaking this isn't a problem as he can keep them running for a good hour or so.

His other main power is the ability to make illusionary clones, once more he summons them with the same energy he uses for the others, the difference is that he can summon a much larger number. However his illusionary clones are just that, one hit and they dissipate, they can't attack or make any sort of physical contact.

Upon summoning them he'll intersperse his own form among them, thus using them mainly as decoys to confuse the opponent. That or he’ll use them for intimidation, while he sneaks off and steals whatever it is he came for.

His last ability is merely superhuman agility.Appearance: Horace stands at about 5’ 11’’; his frame is rather average, not large but not skinny either. He has short black hair, and an average complexion for a Chinese male. However one peculiar feature he has are his eyes, which were inherited from his mother, they are a striking blue shade and are what truly set him apart. His normal clothing consists of a business suits and whatever he has to wear. The one thing consistent is a pendant his mother gave him, in which is a picture of his mother and father. When disguised as the Monkey King, he dons a Monkey King Mask painted black; in addition he wears simple, black, Chinese, martial arts robes.Weapons/Equipment: He carries a telescopic Bo Staff made from a special lightweight, but strong material. Its length is about a foot long collapsed, but extends to a length of 6.5 feet. Other than his staff he generally doesn’t carry much on him. Instead he will carefully choose equipment need for a heist before setting out, the most common is grappling device that can clip to his back.Skills: Due to his upbringing, Horace is fluent in both Cantonese and English, although is English does have a bit of an accent. He is also an excellent thief, whether that be pick pocketing, lock picking, or just sneaking in and entering. He possesses the excellent charisma expected of a man of his stature, along with an above average intelligence. That’s not to say he’s another Tony Stark, but he is quite knowledgeable about a variety of subjects, specifically that pertaining to Chinese History, and items coming out of it. In addition his years on the street, in addition to more formal training he received have left him a proficient fighter in both hand to hand combat, and with a Bo Staff. Finally he enjoys golf and is quite proficient.Personality: On the outside, Horace is everything you’d expect of a man of his stature. Charismatic, Charming, Eloquent. In addition, unlike most people of his stature, Horace is not a playboy, a fact which has earned the respect of quite a few common folk. Instead Horace appears to be diligent hard-working representative, and seeker of peace between mutants and humans. His other noticeable traits are his sense of ethics, honor, and respect towards others.

While all of this may be true, this is only half of who Horace is, away from public eye, Horace is planner and calculator. He enjoys challenging himself, which is why he continues his thievery, despite his lack of needing to. Finally Horace is somewhat of a prankster to those who get to know him, or run into him as Monkey King. However most of these traits are unnoticed by the public, as he does a good job of separating his public appearance and private life.Weakness: Horace's cloning comes with the limitation of tiring him out; in addition his superhuman agility is the only other real power he has. Thus his speed, strength, endurance etc. are all average. His sense of honor can also get in the way of doing things, and the separation of his two identities means that he often has to make sacrifices for one or the other. In addition, while Xiahou might be good at charming people and using them, he’s never truly had friends and has such has no clue how such a thing works. His status as a registered mutant leaves him quite vulnerable, and as a seeker of peace it’s not unheard of him for him to be targeted by both sides.Bio: Horace was born in America to mixed parents, his mother was a member of the wealthy Hammer family and his father was a Chinese immigrant. However less than a year after he was born, his family moved to China, due to his mother’s wish to leave behind her own family. Here in Hong Kong, Horace lived a relatively peaceful live for the next seven years, until one day when his mother and father both died when their home caught fire.

Orphaned and homeless, Horace was left on the streets, his powers manifesting within a week of the accident and being the only thing that really saved him. Soon after his normal thievery to survive became noticed by the gangs, and it wasn’t long before he was recruited into one.

In the gangs his thief skills flourished and he became renowned amongst the other gangs as a master thief. Due to his powers, he was nicknamed the Monkey King after Chinese literary character. The name stuck, and Horace began practicing with a Bo Staff in mimicry of the hero.

However six years later, when he was thirteen, Horace’s life changed once more. After the death of his grandfather, his Horace’s uncle came to China in pursuit of Horace’s mother. Not knowing that she was dead, his uncle ran into Horace completely by accident when the young boy attempted to pickpocket the man. Angered and ready to punish him, his uncle turned towards the young boy and was surprised when he noticed his eyes, that and the pendant around his neck.

Realizing that he was his nephew, his uncle became his guardian and took him back to the states. The son of the famous Hammer family, Horace’s return was labeled a miracle by the tabloids and newspapers. Horace would spend the next few years of his life as a privileged individual in stark contrast to his life six years ago. As a member of the Hammer Family, Horace received the best education money could buy and became well-versed in a variety of fields.

When he was seventeen, Horace shocked the world once more when he registered as a mutant. For a while the people of America viewed him with fear and paranoia, Hammer Industries’ Stock also taking a hit. However the heavy contributions Hammer Industries continued to make for the Enforcers, as well Horace’s neutrality, quickly won him back the favor of the press. Currently he serves as the main representative/spokesperson of Hammer Industries, while his Uncle runs the company.

However this is merely the public side of Horace’s life now, when he registered as a mutant, Horace didn’t reveal his cloning ability; instead he opted to only reveal his Agility. Still donning the name of the Monkey King in secret, Horace continues his thieving. As the Monkey King he is known for almost exclusively stealing only Chinese items of value, such as artifacts from the different dynasties.

IC - Cambion - Boston: Cambion stepped out of the vehicle, sliding his ring into a concealed pocket, before pushing open the door of Buckler, Kite, and Sköld. As the mutant stepped through, he had to marvel at the absurdity of the situation. "S.H.I.E.L.D. sets up a cover office named after two types of shield and a foreign translation of the word 'shield'? How has this place never been infiltrated before?"

As Cambion passed through the lobby, smiling at the receptionist as he walked briskly by. "God morgon. Good morning." The receptionist gave a curt nod, as "Persson" passed by her, towards a door marked with a sign marked, "Partners & Associates Only".

As Victor passed through the door, a red laser scanner passed over him. A robotic voice spoke with eerie serenity. "Skeletal match confirmed. Facial recognition confirmed. Retina scan confirmed. Agent Melker Persson, please state your codename.""Tyrsson."

"Voice match." The computer whirred, and a box extended out from the floor, rising on a pillar. "Please submit field weapons." Cambion withdrew the pistol and a knife from within his overcoat, dropping them into the bin. "Thank God I didn't discard that uncivilized weapon." A scanner came down from one of the roof tiles, a green light bathing over him. "DNA confirmed. Warning. X-gene detected."

A wall panel slid down, revealing a mousy brunette, dressed in a blue S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform. She held a nasty-looking pistol, with a barrel made from rimmed metal plates. "Agent Persson, do you have a reasonable explanation for this discrepancy?"

IC: Nero jerked to the side, narrowly avoiding bullets as they whizzed through the van, his hearing alerting him just enough to convince him to move. "This situation can't get much worse, yeah?!" The sonokinetic yelled out above the din.

From a nearby tree, Spencer was horrified to see the same Venom-like person he had seen on television earlier taking particular issue with the Spider-Man statue as well as the people gathered around it. Frantically, Spencer glanced behind him, hoping to find a pay phone. Time to call the police.

IC: Switching his arm into another variant on its usual blaster form, Alec took aim at the road behind them and in front of the pursuing assassins. He opened fire with a beam of continuous energy, lancing out at the road. Asphalt bubbled and melted, and a line of cherry-red heat was scored into the road. Alec had heard of tyres that could resist sharp pointy objects, but none that could resist being popped when boiled. Should take out one, maybe two of the pursuing vans before it cooled.

He threw himself further into their own van, dizzy and cold. The beam had taken a lot of energy, and it wasn't like he was fully-charged. He'd been slowly using up his reserves throughout the fight, and was starting to run low

IC: Song entered Central Park in civilian clothes; a dark jacket and jeans. She had a baseball cap on, pulled low to try and hide the rather noticeable burns marring her face. The bill of the cap also had a scrambler chip hidden in it to warp any technological means of spying on her. The more any electronic eye tried to zoom in on her, the more blurred and fuzzy she'd become. This wasn't a precaution against Marcus (well, not just against Marcus) but the various government organisations that might be hunting her. She hadn't exactly been making friends in either America or China. She wouldn't have left the Hellfire mansion at all if she hadn't felt this couldn't be handled by a puppet.

She took a seat on a bench and waited until she picked up the familiar psychic imprint

I am Ultron Six, a cybernetic intelligence created by Doctor Henry Pym. My imperative is to bring peace and order to this world. I am about to fulfil that imperative; for the extinction of humanity…begins now.

the_ultron_imperative.jpg

Soon the earth will no longer be habitable for any biological organism: Man, woman, child, plant, animal, fungus or bacterium. All life will cease to exist. This is not a threat, there is nothing you can do to stop it. The process has already begun. I receive no pleasure in this, it is simply the only solution. There must be peace and order, the end of life on earth will ensure that. Goodbye.

IC Foreshadow"Uh, Mikhail?" Peter asked. "Do you head that?" Peter turned around and saw-yep-the same guy he had fought not less than an hour ago. "''scuse me," he muttered, dashing into the trees. Getting out his suit from his bag, he hastily began to put it on.

"I suppose this is a regular thing for you Big ###### Heroes, yeah?" Tyler asked, watching the X-Men dodge and weave through bullets with eyebrows raised up into his dark brown hair. "Welp. Alright, then."

The aura around his hands grew a distinct shade of purple: as the bullets ricocheted and echoed throughout the van, Tyler stood up, muttered something about how it was a good thing he had practiced waterbending just the other day, and then did a series of Tai Chi like movements that pushed the bullets out from the window next to John and back into the van full of mooks next to them.

IC: Marauder

Marauder then used his binoculars to survey to area. There were three guards close to his position. Another three up ahead near what appears to be a boat dock, and one on top of a tower over looking the dock area.

And my first actually original character...ever!

Name: John WoodsCodename: BurnbladeAge: 34Gender: MaleFaction: Goes solo to avoid association with other groups so far, seeks to start a faction if possible, would ally with X-Men if backed into a corner.Power(S): Fire Manipulation: John has the ability to create fire and levitate it within the general area of his body. While he cannot safely touch it, he can shape it into just about anything due to his experience with it. He can throw or fire off fire-based projectiles, but he has no control over them after they leave his (About one foot from any part of his body) range of control. He can make enough fire to fill an average tower building per day, and regenerates 1/24 of his energy per hour, meaning that if he were to use up all his fire, it would take a full day to return to full strength. Through inertia and the nature of his powers, he can fire bolts of flame at bullet speed from within his field of control, and have them fly forward without weakening, dissipating, or slowing unless an external force such as water, ice, or a hurricane-speed wind were to come in. However, this is dependent on the size of a projectile. Projectiles roughly the size of bullets will fly at bullet speed, but the speed will decrease in proportion to the size increase. A small ball will fly extremely fast but would be possible to dodge with great speed and some luck, a large ball will only fly as fast as a large ball thrown by someone with his strength, and a wall of fire would be so slow that it would be useless at most ranges.

Super Strength: This power was unlocked later, and as such he has a lesser degree of skill with it. His strength is not far beyond the average human, but instead is around the peak for a non-mutant human. When matched up with other mutants bearing super strength, he will be outmatched unless he can put his fire to good enough use.

Weapons: A tungsten carbide sword, which weighs 50 pounds. It is extremely sharp and dense, and due to its heat resistance, he sets the blade on fire when he uses it and focuses great effort onto it so that the heat generated will be sufficient to make it better at cutting things. However, due to its weight, he can only use it for a short time before tiring out.Appearance: A rather average-looking man in his thirties, with short but not shaved hair. He has brown eyes and hints of frequently-shaved facial hair. His face is serious and by no means unattractive, but he doesn't get women chasing after him. His brown eyes are rather dark, but brighten up considerably for a brief moment when he is happy.

In public, he usually wears a gray shirt with jeans and a worn red jacket, which is usually open. When hiding his identity as a mutant, his suit is all black and form-fitting, but has bullet-resistant plates on the outside, which are red with some blue lines running through them. Rather than a mask, he wears a full-fitting helmet, which has a tinted visor that acts much like sunglasses from his point of view, and blocks out his face. The rest of the helmet is made of the same material as his armor plating.

The plating can prevent grazing hits from hurting him, and he has shock absorbers under the plates, but a direct shot from any range at which the bullet would fly at normal bullet speed would go right into him.

Weapons: Whatever he forms out of his fire, aside from that, nothing else.Skills: John is fairly good at combat, but is no master at it. His skills at fire manipulation, a power he had from childhood, are well-trained. At hand-to-hand, he prefers to let the enemy come close and then strike first, and then hammer away while defending or bearing the counterattack. He fights in bursts of attack and defense, with a focus on attempting to restrain the opponent and then pound away with whatever free body parts he has to finish the job. He can be a good motivational speaker at times, especially when criticizing things he believes are wrong or fundamentally flawed, though he has little experience as a result of no real opportunities to use this skill. At times his tone of voice can be the opposite of what the audience wants, working against him, but he always speaks what he truly believes unless he must deceive enemies.Personality: Outwardly, John tends to be serious, though if he finds anything humorous, he cannot resist the urge to smirk or laugh. He stays serious because he must to accomplish his goals and be respected, though he actually longs for peace and good times.

Inside, though, he has strong conviction in his moral beliefs, which revolve only around greater concerns. He doesn't care if you steal a pack of gum, swear in front of children, or make inappropriate jokes. His main concerns are freedom and equality.

In his mind, everyone has the right to freedom, freedom to live, to choose, and to be happy. Everyone except people who would take this away by murder, enslavement, or any other means. This is when his anger will rise up. Bullies, tyrants, and terrorists sicken him, and he believes that they deserve to be killed or stripped entirely of their ability to do anything dangerous to anyone.

He believes that it is not the things beyond the control of a person that defines that person, but what they make of it. He believes in perseverance, goodwill, and courage. He believes that anyone can be a great hero, and almost anyone can be the greatest. The only catch in his mind is that some are born into better circumstances for such things, that sometimes life just can't be fair even when it starts. This saddens him, but he has accepted it.

When provoked in small matters, such as someone pushing him, he can be rather quick to anger, but will cool off in a day or less. Once someone earns his total hatred, however, it is nearly irreversible save for a complete heel face turn on their part. He is slightly awkward socially, a problem made worse by the current state of affairs, and does wish to interact more with the general population. However, he cannot easily do this, and so tries to cope with the problem.

He feels guilty when he lies, and is not very good at the practice. When seeking to deceive someone, he prefers to carefully choose his words so as not to actually lie, but if lying is the only way out of a situation, he will resort to it.

Due to his own weakness as a child, he has a strong desire to help people who can't do things themselves, and an urge to be kind to most people in any way possible that annoys even him when it is inconvenient.

His dream is to make the X-Gene available to all of humanity, bringing the strength that is beyond the control of the people in question and only obtained by birth, but only giving it to those who wish it, preserving their freedom to be "pure" if they so desire. He hates the idea of mutants ruling the world just because they were born with power, and likewise hates the idea of genocide against either race. But if his dream were to be fulfilled, from there, everyone would have their freedom, and then those who used their power for evil would be held accountable, killed if necessary.

Despite this, he actually hates politics, and would prefer to lead the effort to make this possible, without taking part in actual government.Weakness: John, as a result of only fighting when necessary, has little skill or speed in combat, instead relying on whatever he can think of. Due to the fights he has gotten into, he can perform a few skilled maneuvers and tricks, but in the long run he can be worn down by the combat. If a fight drags on too long, he usually has trouble, and so he tries to win as fast as possible.

Bio: John Woods was born into a middle-class family, from two non-mutant parents. At the age of five, he began to set things on fire, at which point his parents realized he was a mutant. They tried to hide this from the general community, which worked. By the time he began first grade, John could prevent accidental use of his powers. An incident in second grade where he melted a teacher's shoe got him expelled, and they had to move.

In another city, he was able to enter school again, as they did not reveal his mutant powers outright. There, he lost interest in schoolwork, instead honing his abilities in fire control when he got the chance. His parents were angered about his grades, so he began to work on them.

Over the course of school, he witnessed bullying and got into many fights. He was nothing special in them, and hid his powers despite the constant temptation to use them. He won some, he lost some, but the ending outcome regardless got him expelled yet again. He had lost his temper in the 8th grade and burned off the hair of another student in a fight, putting them both to shame. Again, he and his family fled the city, leaving the residents in confusion and preventing the direct revelation that he was a mutant, something that would have ruined his early life.

This experience and the things he heard about other mutants led him to his current moral beliefs, which he kept all his life.

Later, in college, he took a metalworking course out of curiosity. During this time, he witnessed a conflict between a good-natured mutant and a group of genocidal gunmen. He thought the mutant would win, and so did nothing, but the mutant's powers turned out to be nothing more than the ability to grow a tail and retract it at will. He was shot down, provoking John into a rage. His strength powers unlocked, but when the gunmen turned on him, he was lucky to escape. As good as his powers were, he could not block bullets.

In the present day, John's experiences have led him to his current plan. He is not sure how to carry it out, but for that purpose, he has adopted the name "Burnblade" and used his passable metalworking skills and fire abilities to form his suit, along with his blade.. In public, he hides his identity and tries to live a normal life, if a slightly lonely one. At other times, he travels as Burnblade, trying to convince everyone to live in peace, taking down evil mutants and humans, trying to recruit allies, and ultimately, find a way to fulfill his dream. In truth, he has no real progress to speak of, but then again, did he not learn in childhood never to give up?

OOC:Taking into account the damaging potential of plasma, is there an upper limit to what he can produce? You established a limit on the manipulation, but not so much the amount. And if there is any upper limit, does it require effort to produce? To use an analogy you're probably familiar with, does it require energy to produce it similar to how a Toa would use energy producing their element?IC:As the world shifted back into view, Marcus was already acting. The Mysterious Priest had set them down just off the main path, where they're sudden arrival wouldn't have caused a fuss. For the purposes of this little... Business trip, he decided it would be a good idea to adopt a form he did not use on a regular basis.

The middle aged business man melted away, instantly replaced by a new guise. Carefully maintained gray hair replaced the brown, his face appearing to become worn and battered by years of experience. This new illusory guise hunched slightly, seeming to lean on a cane for support though he walked quickly. He kept the suit, though it was altered to fit his new appearance's slightly thinner dimensions. All of this occurred in mere moments, invisible to the naked eye. One moment a young business man was there, and if anyone had been looking, the next an old man was present.

As he approached the main path and began to walk, he cast about, working to find the mind he sought. She had been right, the number of minds present did indeed help to cover up their traces. Rather than the mere moment it would normally have taken, it took him a few seconds to register where the mind's presence was. A woman in rather common attire, with a hat pulled down low over her face.

He approached at a realistic pace for his current appearance, careful to imitate the sound of a can tip on pavement. He preferred not to use guises such as this often, they took more attention to maintain, but with a meeting such as this, it was necessary. The more layers of illusion present, the harder it would be for even the most perceptive to determine the truth.

"Excuse me, miss. I believe we spoke earlier today."

IC:"Shut up, John. No back seat driving." Alex swore to himself, trying to coax a bit more speed out of the van. Useful for transport, but in a chase he might as well have been driving a go-kart. In fact, if he weren't using his abilities to draw out maximum performance, they'd have caught up already.

IC: song took a brief moment to get a glimpse of the man's mind. He might have been just a passer-by who thought he recognised her. But his psychic signature was the same.

"Yes, I believe we did. About our...mutual avian dilemma."

Goodbye.

"Ok, you should probably stay behind me, I don't have the best control over my eletrical powers and I can only fire them in a general direction." Walter said to Sarah and Susan, switching to his working tone of voice.

IC: Knight

Knight stood on the roof of his building observing the city with his enhanced vision. He focused on a statue of Spider-Man where something that looked a lot like Venom stood. 'That could be trouble, expecially if that thing has the powers of the orginal Venom.' Knight quickly made a pair of wings of light and used them to glide over to the roof of a building near the statue, he continued to watch while keeping out of sight.

OOC: The weakness on your character Constructman still talks about having a healing factor. Also, what can hurt him? If he has telepathic shields and is super durable does that mean he’s pretty much unable to be harmed at all?

Monkey King seems okay to me approval +1.

On Bladeburn, I can’t force you to do this but my main character’s name is John, and since you said Bladeburn might ally himself with the X-Men that could lead to confusion. Would you consider changing his first-name? If not what about having him go by Jonathan?

IC: Feral, Triblade, Icitine

“Great why is there always people shooting at us?” Matt grumbled as the van weaved down the road trying to dodge bullets.

One of the armored vans had stopped suddenly as its tired were boiled and popped by Alec’s red energy coating the road. Since the other vans were farther back they had time to swerve out of the way of the hot red substance.

They began gaining on the van; still firing away until Tyler began sending their bullets back at them with his powers. One of the assassins was killed as his own bullet punched through his throat.

Liliana turned towards the vans chasing them and began unleashing sharp icicles at the vans.

John continued firing with his pistol, shells bursting from the weapon as they hit the floor of the van trailing smoke as they rolled around.

“Fine, I’ll stick to backseat shooting.” He said as he continued to fire the weapon, blasting a round through the arm of an assassin hanging out the window.

Click.

Click.

****, he was out of ammo. John dropped the gun and then got to his feet. “I’ll catch up with you guys later.” He said. Snikt. John’s claws burst from his knuckles as he pulled himself out the shattered window and on top of their van. John stuck his claws through the roof to keep him steady as the van moved at high-speeds. He’d left his mask inside the car so the wind tore at his black hair blowing it around his head as his determined cyan eyes bore into those of the approaching driver.

As the armored van grew closer John twitched to the left and right as bullets were pumped into him. He bared his teeth which were now stained slightly with red. He then tore out his claws and he jumped.

His legs kicked through the air as he crossed the distance between the vehicles. John landed on the hood of the armored car, his claws cutting into the metal of the hood as he was stopped suddenly. His impact had pulled his claws a bit through the metal he’d almost fallen and been pulled under the car.

My name’s John. Because of my dad I’m the best at what I do. And right now that’s tearing through armored cars.

Feral grunted as he tore his claws up and stabbed them higher into the hood. Bullets and sparks danced around John like he was riding on a massive sparkler as he began to climb his way up the hood. He took two more shots to the chest. John ignored the pain; it was second nature to him now. He’d been shot so many times he’d lost count.

He jumped then, landing on the roof of the armored car.

“Where is he!” he heard one of the assassins shout. “He’s on the roof you fool!” another one shouted.

“I’ve already shot this guy like six times! He won’t go down!” the other one shouted as he began blasting rounds through the roof around John. One tore its way into the bottom of his foot; stopped suddenly by his adamantium skeleton; but it still hurt like heII.

John jabbed all six of his claws into the roof of the armored car. He then pulled them to each other, the adamantium blades slicing through the metal as if it was nothing.

“He’s cutting through the roof!”

One final swipe with his claws tore away the flap he’d created and revealing a hole that led into the armored truck. John stepped forward and landed inside the armored van.

It was full of about seven armed assassins. One of them shot him in the chest. “I’m starting to get tired of that bub.” John said as he rammed his claws into the man’s gut.

IC: Nicole

"Uh, what exactly is that?" Nicole said as she jumped out of the car after Robin and noticed the shimmering air.

IC:"Indeed." The old man replied, leaning on his cane. "Particularly considering the incompetence of that exterminator."

IC:Alistair stepped out of his house, hands in his pockets. As soon as Ashley exited, he closed the door. He'd just turned to step off of the porch when he saw Dante walking up the road."Oh, so you're the one that moved into the house next door."

IC: "I suggest we start some sort of watch. The bird is likely still in the vicinity, and we might be able to find and contain it if we have enough minds working at the problem. Do you have any allies who might..." Song paused as she considered euphemisms, "Help us put up fliers?"

Well, he can sustain it and keep making loads of it easily, but there is an energy limit. He's actually more limited by the size and heat level than by the amount.

For example, he can't go all Spirit Bomb on people, but he could fire plasma bolts at an automatic fire rate for 30 minutes straight, or keep the same plasma sword out for an hour.

As for the name, I'd prefer to keep it. The name you suggested is the name of one of my classmates, so it'd be awkward. Besides, you could refer to him as Woods or something. John's a very common name.

OOC:

Name: Senator Otto V. Wagner

Codename: None.

Age: Forty-eight

Gender: Male

Faction: United States of America, Tactical Solutions PMC

Power(S): None. He is completely human.

Apperance: Otto would be a handsome man, with smooth features, bright green eyes and well-groomed blond hair. Would being the key word. Half of his face was burned away during a mutant attack and it remains scarred to this day. He is utterly blind in one eye, and that eye is so horrible to look upon that he has taken to wearing an eyepatch rather then display it. He normally wears a variety of formal suits and clothing. He is never seen without his families signet ring, a golden band topped with a large diamond. He has to wear a hearing aid for one of his ears as well due to the damage it sustained during the attack.

Weapons: None. Otto is not trained for combat, at most, he'll have a bullet proof vest and a taser. He tends to rely on bodyguards.

Skills: Wagner knows how the inner workings of the government function, he's deeply involved in many political networks. If something is going on within the government, he knows about it...even if he shouldn't. He commands a large amount of political power, rallying other anti-mutant congressmen  to his side and calling upon his immense personal wealth to sweep other allies into office. His word carries a great deal of weight in many cities, if he wants something to happen, it tends to happen. Within reason of course, he can't very well order the army about like his own personal anti-mutant machine. That's why he bought up most of the stock for a PMC operating out of the United States, providing his allies and himself with much needed protection from the Mutant threat. Wagner is quite intelligent and can hold his own in most conversations and debates, of all the things he could be called, uninformed is not one of them. He is an excellent orator, able to rally a crowd and commit them to a certain course of action with relative ease. Otto's power is not physical. He cannot spit fire or crush cars. But he can crush your political dreams, slander your name across the nation and make your life very very difficult.

Personality: Otto is a man on a mission. He sees the Mutants for the danger they are, he has seen the suffering they cause. He has the scars to prove it. The people of America, the people of the world, are threatened by them. Otto will not allow that threat to continue, he has vowed to put an end to this threat, one way or another. He is very driven when it comes to this goal, letting his outrage fuel his efforts. He has stayed up many a long night planning the next march, the next speech, the next election...he has commited himself totally to his cause. He cares for the people of the world, cares for them deeply. They are why he's fighting and he never allows himself to forget that. He is driven, determined....and if you get in his way, he will not hesitate to crush you.

Weakness: He's a normal human, an extremely brave one, but still a normal human....and he doesn't even have any combat training. Against a mutant, he's basically helpless. Alone at least.

Bio: Otto built his political career on mutants. When he was young, working as an intern in his fathers law firm, he had much more moderate views....until a Brotherhood mutant broke in and slaughtered his father and his staff during an interview with the local news station....so the Brotherhood could issue yet another threat over the airwaves. Otto tried to stop the fire-breathing mutant and was brutally maimed as a result. He clung to life for three years, drifting in and out of a waking state in the coma ward of a hospital. One day however, he awoke and did not slip back into the coma that had claimed him for so many years. Using what was left of his families wealth, he embarked on a mission of revenge. It started in Ohio, he rallied the unions and the Anti-Mutant lobbies and won a seat in the state senate, and personally saw several anti-mutant laws pass.

From here he went from strength to strength. He rallied many disparate parties and viewpoints together under one banner, the banner of human progress. Progress that was threatened by the existence of dangerous, unregulated, weapons of mass slaughter walking the streets with nary a care. His personal background and his skill at oration served him well here. Wise investements in the stock market increased his networth by leaps and bounds, allowing him to purchase the stock of many companies, ensuring he would always have funding for his endeavors. Ten years after he awoke from his coma, he was the governor of Ohio. He used this position to crack down on Mutants even further. Crime rates plummeted, as did the population of mutants within the state, as many did not wish to live in a state run by someone so clearly anti-mutant.

From here, Otto set his eyes on the senate. He won that election in a landslide. Once in Washington, he set about building another, larger, anti-mutant network. He purchased the stock of a private PMC, for as his powers increased, so did the number of his enemies. Currently, he travels the nation inbetween congressional meetings, rallying political support for the next bill, protesting against Mutants and in general, doing his best to ensure they have as little ability to harm others as possible.

"Shall this great kingdom, that has survived, whole and entire, the Danish depredations, the Scottish inroads, and the Norman conquest; that has stood the threatened invasion of the Spanish Armada, now fall prostrate before the House of Bourbon? Surely, my Lords, this nation is no longer what it was! Shall a people, that seventeen years ago was the terror of the world, now stoop so low as to tell its ancient inveterate enemy, take all we have, only give us peace? It is impossible! ...My Lords, any state is better than despair. Let us at least make one effort; and if we must fall, let us fall like men!"

-William Pitt the Elder, before suffering a fatal stroke on the floor of the House of Lords.

OOC: TNG, after some review and consultation with my unofficial science experts, as well as the almighty Google, I can't approve John's powers as they stand. For once thing, the limits you claim to have set on production seem to be almost non-existent, or easily circumvented. Second, plasma is some seriously dangerous stuff. If used correctly, it can destroy pretty much anything. Plus, as I said before, there is no real limit on how much he can produce.Basilisk: Approved.IC:"Not any ones that would be aware of their assistance." OOC: Ok, so can I put a limit on how much he can produce? If that's the problem it's easily fixed.

How much sounds reasonable? Able to produce enough to fill an average two-story house per day? And the regeneration rate would be 1/24 of a two-story house per hour, meaning if he were to use it all up, it's 24 hours to get back to full capacity.

OOC: Revised Asardin again. Changed his powers.

Name: Asardin (alias Abrahem Hassani)Codename: NoneAge: Somewhere around 3150 years old.Gender: MaleFaction: No faction; will work with "Evil" factions.Power(S): Asardin possess an indefinite lifespan; while his body cannot heal injuries like Wolverine could, his body seems to be able to fight off the effects of aging. As well, his immune system is extremely efficient; he possess near-total resistance to most bacterial and viral infections. As a result, he possess the body of a man in his prime, even after three thousand years. He can be killed by "regular" means but he cannot die naturally. As well, he possess the power of subtle energy manipulation. His energy is similar to disciplines such as qigong or psionics except far more powerful. He can use this energy to heal, shoot concussive blasts, and create energetic servitors. Normally this energy invisible but if Asardin puts enough focus into it, he can make the energy "glow". While not one of his "powers" he possess powerful psychic shields that grant him near-immunity to telepathic attacks. These shields were created from millenia of training.Appearance: Asardin has a very Iraqi look, though he also has Palestinian, Jewish, and Egyptian traits. He has a very muscular body and is quite tall (about 6'7"). He would look like a Greek God except for the colour of his skin. Standing with an air of nobility, he almost seems to be glowing at times. He is usually dressed in a business suit, though sometimes he may dress in traditional Babylonian clothing.Weapons: Asardin has a massive collection of various kinds of weapons from all ages in his home. However, the weapon he uses most often is a spade, a symbol of Marduk. As well, he possess a Skills: Asardin is educated in the knowledge of many civilizations, having lived through many different eras. In his youth, he was educated in the mysticism of the Chaldeans. Later, he learned the political sciences of the Romans, the science of the Muslims, the Alchemy of Renaissance Europe, and many other civilization's traditions and knowledge. He is a learned ritual magician and possess scores of astrological knowledge but not enough to be classified as a "power" (he knows the theory but lacks the practical power).Personality: Asardin is under the mistaken belief that he is a deity of some sorts. Believing himself to be the son of Marduk he views himself as a divine, superior being. As a result, he is arrogant, contemptuous, and prideful. As well, he has a very nihilistic view of humanity; seeing numerous civilizations rise and fall can do that to you. He is under the impression that humans, no matter how hard they try, will ultimately go extinct and be forgotten by the cosmos. As a result, he holds concepts such as morality, nationalism, and human rights with disdain.Weakness: Asardin's arrogance can get the better of him at times. He views the human race as "insects" and as a result, often fails to realize or comprehend their inner resourcefulness. As well, he reacts negatively to anybody who disagrees with his supposed "divine" status, going into intense fits of rage when insulted. His subtle energy manipulation takes a lot of focus to have any effect on the physical plane, so healing, repulsion, and other forms of physical interaction can take a lot out of him. As a result, he usually gets his minions to do the dirty work for him.Bio: Asardin was born in Babylon during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar I. A member of the Awilu, Babylonia's upper class, he enjoyed a life of privilege, despite the fact that he was raised by a single mother, his father having disappeared shortly after he was born. Then, one day, Asardin was walking through the streets when a bull being sold at the market broke free and began to go on a rampage. Asardin was right in the bull's line of "fire" and would have been done for if heis powers hadn't activated right then and there; he involuntarily created a force bubble that was able to keep the bull from running him through. This piqued the interest of the royal court, who subjected him to various tests of his abilities, Asardin passing them all. The only explanation that the wise men and the court magicians could offer was that Asardin had divine blood flowing through his veins. Asardin was instantly hailed as some sort of god and his social standing skyrocketed. Being educated in the traditions of the Chaldean mystics, Asardin became one of the Royal Court's greatest sages. Living through each of the dynasties of Babylon, he became highly respected as he commanded power and wisdom no other of the mystics in the court possessed. Then, Babylon was conquered by the Persians. Asardin, trying to avoid unnecessary attention, posed as a commoner, and for the next centuries of his life, he lived a lowly life, being reduced to a roadside merchant. However, he rose up the social ladder once more during the reign of the Roman Empire, becoming an orator. Then the Empire was divided, Rome was sacked, and the Muslims conquered Persia. Asardin lived a relatively normal life until the sack of Baghdad in 1257, being one of the few survivors. Then he survived the Black Death, a second Mongol Invasion, and the period of civil war that was the rule of the Ottoman Empire. During this time, he began making frequent visits to Europe, slowly learning the ways of the Europeans. Eventually, sometime after World War II, Asardin grew sick of the now war-torn region of Iraq and moved to the Americas. Despite facing heavy racism, he managed to carve out a life for himself in the New World. It was during this time that his nihilistic personality began to form, and while he had always been a tad arrogant, he now believed himself to be far superior to the "insects" that populated the Earth. Secretly allying himself with the Brotherhood of Mutants, he began to plot his dominance over humanity, feeling the urge to exercise his misinformed status as a god. Starting to build a fortress similar to the Etemenanki, he now plans the return of the Annunaki, determined to show the "dust of Kingu" who they would be worshiping. Also, wouldn't there be a slight genetic difference between Asardin's DNA and the DNA of the modern man? Same goes for Foreshadow. Would the differences between their DNA mess around with mutant detecting equipment?

And as well, where could he place his base of operations? The original site in Iraq would attract too much attention; maybe in the Savage Land?

OOC: TNG, the issue is less how much he can produce, and more how much damage he can cause with it. Enough to fill a two story house cold destroy almost anything. Ane even enough to fill a soda bottle could wreak havoc on the human body with ease. It's not even like fire. Fire causes injuries, but slowly. Plasma just burns straight through it.And you don't even specify what kind of plasma. Plasma is a state of matter, which means you could theoretically have over one hundred and six different varieties.

OOC: Burning plasma at the weakest heat level possible to still be burning plasma.

I'll edit in a dispersal property if you like, so that anything but a sharp plasma form tends to spread its damage across the body and weaken the opponent as a whole, without melting straight through unless the opponent decides it would be a good time to stand still and be shot that many times in a row. As for the sharp form, it's basically with the cutting power of a lightsaber and does not leave full-body burn damage.

Hmm. Right, I hadn't thought about that.

Ok, should I put in the dispersal thing or not?

How about we make it so that it takes considerable force to cut through thicker objects, and so that you must melt slowly to make it through a big one. So he'd have to get a good edge-on swing to remove someone's arm, and if he wants to get through a steel wall or harder, he has to push hard and melt through it slowly.

IC: Agent Chen

Hanshi stood at the side of the conference room. The President had called a meeting for the UN Diplomats to discuss... what were they going to discuss again? Chen had totally forgotten. Whatever it was, it was probably something concerning the higher-ups; Chen was only hear as Consulate General Sun's entourage. Which meant that he would have to sit this whole thing through without saying anything... Chen yawned, half out of physical tiredness, half out of boredom.

OOC: TNG, what I'm trying to say is that without some seriou overhaul, I can't let the plasma power get through. There are too many factors to try and bring under control, and way too much potential for destruction. If you can come back with a writeup that carefully brings it down to a reasonable power level, I'll consider it. But until then, I have to stamp this one not approved.

@CM: Asardin.... Okay, there are a few issues here. First of all, you specify that he can't be killed by diseases et cetera, and that he can use his powers to heal. So that's two powers right there. Plus energy blasts. Plus another power, and apparently he has strong mental shields. And no real exploitable weaknesses.

OOC: -1 Axilus Prime for not changing the name. Jk you can’t get minuses XD. It is a common name honestly I wish I had chosen another one, but I wanted something similar to James.

Hmm… CM, “He can use this energy to heal, shoot concussive blasts, and create energetic servitors.” Sounds like spirit to me, I’m not a fan of the whole heal and cause damage with the same energy.

Also how about we take this plasma discussion to the discussion thread? Its adding a lot of pointless OOC only posts to the RP and those disrupt the RP in my opinion.

IC: Ares (New York)

Ares sat outside on the hull of the Hellicarrier. He let the wind rustle through his hair as he stared blankly at New York far below. He was tired of doing nothing. He was useless when it came to repairing the Helicarrier's systems. Brando was dead and James had vanished somewhere. Noel was off with Howard probably. That left Ares and Erin to pal around. The magician shrugged and then stepped off the Hellicarrier. He free-fell through the air for quite some time before he activated his levitation spell. Blue rings encircled Ares hands as he took off through New York, looking for anything that caught his eye.

He landed in the streets and quickly summoned an illusion. His cape and clothes melted into more common attire for someone around his age. His shirt turned into a dark green long-sleeve while his pants turned into black slim-fit jeans and a pair of vans formed around his feet. With the illusion set Ares began to walk through the streets, he wasn't sure what he was looking for at this point. But you never know. This was New York after all.

OOC: What if I make his power fire, but give him the ability to condense it into a sword that can actually cut like a real (Though seriously well-made) sword and burn at the same time. With the catch being that he shoots the fire at about bullet speed so I don't have that "I will dodge everything you ever do because well screw you" problem I have in the BZPRPG. Of course if he makes a larger fire projectile it will fly much slower. So little fire shots=bullet speed, while fire balls=what you get when you throw a ball.

IC: Venom, Malus, Shaw

A tendril snaked its way from our hand and wrapped itself around the head of the statue. One solid tug and we held a piece of Parker's concrete likeness in our claws. We threw it across central park hoping it would land on some unlucky bystander. We raised one arm, now tipped with a spiked mace, and drove it into the statue's chest, sending concrete everywhere. We raised the mace again and brought it down onto the pedestal. Soon, nothing remained but a pile of broken concrete and twisted metal.

"Sheeeeaaagh!" We raised our maw into the air and let out a cry of victory.

The new and improved Malus strode over to Shaw and Ben. He was much taller now, almost more so than Shaw, and he had much more muscle on his once thin frame.

"Well," he said in a voice that was much clearer than the raspy drawl he had used before, "what do you think?"

"I think we need to go back to the mansion," Shaw replied somewhat dismissively, "Ben, if you would do the honors?"

His immune system is extremely efficient; he possess near-total resistance to most bacterial and viral infections. As a result, not only has he survived through 3000 years of war, he also possess the body of a man in his prime. He can be killed by "regular" means but he cannot die naturally. As well, he possess the power of repulsion. He can use powerful psychokinetic waves to blow back one object at a time with powerful fore (similar to a Crast). He can use this power to achieve limited flight but he can't fly and repel objects at the same time. Appearance: Asardin has a very Iraqi look, though he also has Palestinian, Jewish, and Egyptian traits. He is a learned ritual magician and possess scores of astrological knowledge but not enough to be classified as a "power" (it is more of a religion for him). As well, Asardin is skilled at repelling psychic attack. While he isn't immune, his psionic shields can be quite a nuisance for even the most skilled of telepaths.Personality: Asardin is under the mistaken belief that he is a deity of some sorts. His repulsion abilities only work on one object at a time and can only be used to either repel the ground or objects within his line of sight.Bio: Asardin was born in Babylon during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar I. Asardin was right in the bull's line of "fire" and would have been done for if heis powers hadn't activated right then and there; he involuntarily activated his repulsion powers to keep the bull from running him through. OOC:Monkey King Approved (1)White Lightning I'm going to leave to Advent, because he wasn't sure on it.I've voiced my thoughts on Basilisk's guy.CM: I'm leery of letting him keep the powerful shields, because it starts to get towards a third power. There are other characters that know how to handle telepaths, but no PCs that have outright mental shields.TNG: If we're bringing the BZPRPG into this, I'm going to be perfectly honest, my concern is a reversal of your's. If you want fire, you can have fire. But fire behaves the way it behaves. Actually, even plasma wouldn't have been able to form a blade the way you're thinking. fire doesn't go bullet speed, and it doesn't make swords. If you switch it to fire, tentatively approved. But fire will obey the same laws as it always does in reality.

OOC: I mean to tell you that, unless otherwise noted, the physics of this game behave the same way they do in our world. Which means that fire fired out will behave the same way here, and in-game. Likewise, when you find a way to condense fire into a sword in real life, let me know.
