Set Review: 6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown

Recommended Posts

6866_XMen_CF_8_13_Teaser.JPGWith TLG's acquisition of the Marvel license for half of their Super Heroes sets comes a fan-favorite (aren't they all?) X-Men set. Well, the only X-Men set. Wolverine comes clawed and Deadpool comes manic (and Magneto comes...magnetic). Read on to find out reporter ChocolateFrogs' thoughts on the details of the set, and see if even past its perfect average price to piece ratio and the awesome minifigs if this set is worth it.View the full article

I have this set myself and I have to say it's awesome. Mind it comes with Deadpool so I'm probably just stating the obvious :PActually the helicopter isn't the most brilliant and the set does feel over-priced. But once you get it, you don't regret it :)The minifigures are very well detailed and the quality is superb.

I think I've heard of wolverine, but "Deadpool" and "Magneto" don't ring a bell to me. The helicopter looks nice, though, and has a decent color scheme.

Thanks for the review! I like the helicopter in this set, and Deadpool makes the set even cooler. I might buy this...

Oh, that's the reasoning behind what Marvel sets are made. We need more X-Men stuff for sure, so I guess I'll have to buy this one for support.Sounds like the motorcycle and helicopter are a little lackluster. But you were a little harsh on playability... I mean, come on, it's a MOTORCYCLE and HELICOPTER! You can spin the wheels and the blades! What more fun do you need. :P (Besides, its always nice to have two opposing vehicles for role play, even if one greatly outmatches the other.)Minifigs are pure win tho. Great review, Ben!:music:

DEADPOOL. Yes, that might be the only reason why some of us including me will buy this set.The helicopter looks solid. Missile Wings are a nice touch to it and looks pretty good to me for the price.($20 I believe). Motorcycle design looks good too. But they are both forgotten by some because of the amazing minifigs included in the set, Magneto,Wolverine, and DEADPOOL. I definitely will be picking this up some time in the future.~Gravity
