Table of Contents:Well, here's were I'll be updating both Pursuit and Acronyms anonymous, they are my current projects. Pursuit will be updated far more than Aa will be by the way. That said: PursuitHello, and welcome to Pursuit. A rayg based crime and mystery themed comic. I plan on updating once every week(more likely every other week due to personal issues caused by being an individual, I'm sure you understand)The backgrounds will consist of actual pictures, maybe with some added scenery. A mix between basic canon and a advanced BIONICLE society flung far in the future of canon timeline. Featuring the UCS and other members such as Bulik and Eljay, this tale chronicles the pursuit of justice as a team of vigilante turned enforcers (cops) try to fix their broken society. Soran Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 I knew Iruini would've died some day... This certainly looks interesting. I like the idea of a mystery-crime-actiony themed comic. The use of the rayg kit is quite nice as well. There isn't much I can say since there has only been one comic (barely), but it's graphics look nice. There are a few questions and things I want to address though. Questions - Will the mysteries consist of one comic. Say for example, if there is a murder that has happened, will it all be solved in one comic or will it be a story-arc style, with several comics? Also, are the mysteries just random ones or will there be a story as well, or will there be both in one? Random mysteries as well as one large mystery. Feedback - The idea of it is really nice, I like it. The graphics are also quite nice, but there are some things I want to address. Since this comic uses pictures for backgrounds instead of ones you've created, there are a few things I'd recommend.One, when picking out backgrounds to use, make sure that they're consistent and make sense (so don't have one background where its sunny, next is cloudy, and then sunny again unless intentional), you did this very well in this comic.Two, make sure to try to pick the best pictures you can, always the best quality. The first panel for example has a great picture, but the last two aren't as great. If you can't find a really higher quality picture, then just stick with the closest you could find or create your own. (just to make sure, resize your pictures using cubic, it keeps the most detail to the picture as far as I'm aware. And if it gets too blurry, sharpen it using Filters > Enhance > Sharpen, then by any number you want.)Three, Certain environments have certain things you should do. This comic takes place in a snowy area, so obviously you should at least cover the feet or whatever part is connecting with snow. You did this, although there is a different method I would recommend. The airbrush/brush looks a little sloppy, I'll be honest. what I would recommend you do instead is: (To do this right, make sure your characters are on a transparent layer on top of the images/backgrounds) Grab your free select tool in the Tool Box (this in my opinion is one of the most useful tools in gimp). Turn your mode to 'add to current selection' (Second one from the left.) Now on the background's layer, make a selection to wherever you want the snow to cover your character's feet (make sure to make the selection look as snowy/wave/ lumpy as you can, don't just make a square). Now once you've created the selection, go to Select > Feather, then feather it by 3-5. After thats done you have two options: First option is to copy the background underneath and then paste it on a new transparent layer over the character layer. From there you can make any edits you want to the snow. The Second option is to go to the character's layer and just cut it. Hopefully that was understandable, Anyway if you understood that then you should have the character's feet covered by the snow. Also, for the most part the first few episodes will just be your average unconnected murder, as means to introduce the characters. After a few pilot episodes the murders will turn to murders, heists, and and other dastardly deeds that are all connected to a crime syndicate. I already have the good guys and bad guys chosen when it comes to NPC's as I call them while PGS's get to decided what role they play. I'd like to let you all know that I'll have two comics up this week, one for Christmas (for Acronyms anonymous) and one later this week for Pursuit.The Christmas comic is almost done, I'm finishing the ending and then sending it to Kahi to put up Speaking of Acronyms anonymous, I have decided (thanks to recommendations from a certain helpful member) to group all my comics.projects here, similar to Soran's comic emporium. Also, I don't technically have a name for the red guy (me) in the first panels. Technically its Toa Zyglak, but that name is used by my observer in the UCS, so he'll go back to being called Facade. Anyways, the comic was actually pretty funny besides the long rant. I liked the last three panels. I don't know what sprite kit, or what it will be about, or where I'll get the backgrounds, or what I'll even name the topic. So yeah, see you guys whenever. Wind, or whoever cares to grace this post, give this topic peace and close the poor thing Thanks everyone who has dealt with my extremely sporadic behavior and confusion that I can cause.
