Perpetual

A Dark Hunter, numerous Day Run contestants, the former leader of the Ring, even one of the Ringmaster’s old friends… The ‘heroes’ lay in ruins before Toa Lyxek and his band, all broken, torn down to the very last threads of their lives. They had stood in opposition to the Ringmaster’s plans, a small group among many. These had been the rebellion’s final hope, the only ones who truly stood a chance of stopping Ruaki’s resurrection, after the defeat of all the others in their respective battles, from the attempted destruction of the Director and the nanobot construct to the confrontation with the God of Death’s spiritual form.

And yet, in the end, they had fallen, overwhelmed by the power of Death.

They were a testament to the nobility of Lyxek’s goals.

The Ringmaster turned away from the defeated warriors, walking to the edge of the floating platform on which they had fought. Toa Kovian, barely conscious, barely clinging to life, watched the Toa of Sonics go, dread chilling him to the bone as he saw Lyxek raise his hands. From a vast hole in the sky, a product of Lyxek’s plans, a massive cloud of darkness emerged, a swirling vortex of white lightning and writhing, black tentacles. The cloud moved toward the snake-like nanobot construct that the Ring had so tirelessly worked to create, engulfing the hulking form for a moment before being absorbed into it.

Red lights shone from its eye sockets, signifying Ruaki’s return to life, even as the newly possessed body swung under Lyxek’s control.

The time had come.

“God Rhashahk,” Lyxek called. “The contract is fulfilled. Let us bring new life to this universe—life unending!”

Kovian struggled, raising a bloodied right hand toward Lyxek, though it fell to the floor of the platform as his strength failed him. The Toa of Ice found himself engulfed in a strange, bright green light as he finally succumbed to his injuries, the world falling into blackness around him, the sound of raging wind filling his ears before all went silent…

The chill sting of snow greeted him as he awoke some time later, his pale blue eyes drifting open—much to his surprise. Snow fell lazily around him, floating softly down from the glowing, blue and dark-gray sky above. Somewhere nearby, several small flames crackled quietly, though he felt neither particularly warm nor cold here.

Groggily, Kovian pushed himself up, pressing a hand to his face, immediately pulling it away when he realized that the deep gashes on it were gone. The Dark Hunter examined the rest of his body, finding that he had been completely repaired. Turning, he saw the unconscious bodies of his allies around him, all in perfect condition. The wreckage of the platform was scattered around the group, the vehicle half-buried in the snow, as if it had crashed there.

“He did it…” the Toa whispered, his voice shaking from the shock of realization. The Ringmaster had succeeded in his goals, had brought back Ruaki. What was more, he had done as intended: Lyxek had granted immortality to the entirety of the Matoran universe.

Death was no longer a factor—for better or worse…

Perpetual: A “What If?” Story

What if Lyxek had succeeded in his plan?

With the end of the Day Run, this was the question that lingered on the minds of many. Alternate universes had already explored the implications of his victory in resurrecting Ruaki and then failing to control him, causing the total destruction of the universe, but one idea was never addressed:

What if Lyxek had completely succeeded in his plan?

The answer is simple: Lyxek gained control over Ruaki and granted immortality to the inhabitants of the universe. However, his control fluctuated, causing the immortal factor to be… incomplete. What happened next is a mystery, as Lyxek and his crew vanished, leaving those who had gone to battle him to crash on the snowy plains of Kai-Nam.

Thousands of years later, Lyxek is still missing, and the face of the universe has changed for the worst. Millions of people have lost the will to live, and yet have no way of escaping their endless lives. Areas that were known for constant, violent war in the past have become living graveyards, with the worst of the worst being Zakaz. Factions have disbanded all across the board, their goals made pointless by the invocation of endless life.

None of this has been helped at all by Ruaki’s influence—at some point, it seems that the God of Death completely broke free of Lyxek’s control, and began wreaking havoc across the world, an unstoppable force prodding at the lives of those below him. Now he watches, creating chaos here, sending plagues into islands over there.

This is where your actions come into play. You are immortal, but you are still in danger. With the energy of the universe dying around you, will you attempt to find a way to reverse the damage that Ruaki has done, perfecting immortality and reinvigorating the universe? Will you attempt to drive Mata Nui toward a new world, one that will prove sufficient for the inhabitants of the universe to take, to get away from Ruaki’s chaos? Or will you search for Lyxek, for Ruaki, and find a way to remove the curse that has been placed upon your head?

Your choices are yours alone. Choose wisely, however, lest you make a precarious situation worse than it already is…

Immortality: Not As It Seems

The beings within Mata Nui have always lived for hundreds of thousands of years; as such, long life is not unusual to them. Yet, living in such a dangerous world necessitated the use of caution in life, as one never quite knew when a dangerous Rahi, a powerful Dark Hunter, or some new army might appear, bringing with them untold death and destruction.

Lyxek’s actions removed that danger—for the most part. Any person or creature, organic or robotic, that died after the events on Kai-Nam would return without fail, all injuries repaired, with only the horrible memories of their temporary death left as a reminder of what awaited them in the afterlife. Unsurprisingly, many beings were left with a newfound taste for danger, putting themselves into unwarranted battle or unsafe situations simply for the thrill of it, no longer concerned with their mortal limitations.

What they failed to realize was that, even for immortals, death demands a price.

Over time, a pattern began to emerge. The first death brought no ill consequences upon resurrection. The second death brought a smaller degree of healing, as well as a temporary sickness, temporarily weakening the newly-revived being. The third death brought only minor healing of injuries, a permanent sickness, and failed to maintain the being’s ability to resist decomposition—muscles atrophied, limbs breaking off or forcing amputation. This is where most thrill-seekers and warriors stopped, their injuries forcing them to seek medical help, for fear of what lay before them in their endless lives.

However, there are always outliers, people too foolish to realize the consequences of their actions. Those who died a fourth—or, occasionally, a fifth, if they were of strong enough will—simply stopped healing altogether. Oh, their souls and minds remained anchored, but their bodies became useless, immobile—they could no longer move due to the damage to their bodies, their powers inaccessible no matter how hard they tried, their spirits trapped in shells inescapable, doomed to forever inhabit their place of perpetual demise, dying every moment only to return just as quickly. Their only hope of communication, their one remaining way to continue speaking with the living, is the occasional passage of a telepathic near their deathbed. No solution has ever permanently fixed their situation, making them a warning to all who have still found drive enough to function in this new world.

In short, despite your character’s immortality, he/she still has a limit on how much they can die. They will get weaker and weaker each time they get resurrected, and after the fourth death, they are considered “dead”—their body is no longer viable and their minds are stuck there. While they cannot do anything, you can still show their thoughts and such—possibly even con somebody into helping them find a new body to take over.

As a final note, remember that resurrection takes time. How long varies from individual to individual, ranging from mere minutes to several days, and the amount of time that transpires between life and death only increases with each death. The fact that you will heal--fully or partially--from lethal and nonlethal injuries following the loss of a battle, or the loss of your life, does not mean that you will be able to finish off your opponent immediately after your body returns to normal.

We Are Your Unwilling Salvation

One may wonder how the issues with immortality were truly discovered, if they are as horrific as described. The answer lies in Ruaki’s Vengeance: the Feranaki. Upon his return to full control—and, indeed, even before then—Ruaki summoned his demons to attack the people of the universe, something that only served to catalyze the degradation of the world. Many of the initial discoveries of resurrection’s side-effects following Ruaki’s return were directly caused by Feranaki-related deaths.

Nowadays, the Feranaki are no longer as large of a threat as they once were. The primary body is gone, with only pockets remaining in random locations, typically hidden away in forests or caves, waiting for the day when Ruaki gains interest in them again and calls them back to him.

Meanwhile, people are beginning to realize the parasite’s usefulness in the current situation. While the Feranaki are horrific creatures, there is a rumor going around that the fate of the Fourth Death could be avoided if the person in question is infected by an Infection Form. At the very least, the Immortal Factor seems to grant the “dead” a resistance against the Feranaki’s mind control, even if it does not stop the physical mutations caused by infection. While these theories have yet to be truly tested, word is that there is quite a bit of evidence to support them—so perhaps hope still remains for the trapped minds of the broken…

Feranaki come in a variety of forms, which are briefly described below:

 • Infection Forms: Small, balloon-like creatures, with dozens of small tentacles spilling out from their undersides. Infection Forms are the root of all the others—they burrow into dead bodies to create the Common Form, and hundreds or thousands can join together to merge into the Breakers and Leviathans.
 • Common Forms: Dead bodies reanimated by Infection Forms. Generally, they are a corpse—of any species—with numerous deformations forced upon their bodies, including the twisted movement of their head and neck away from their natural positions, the presence of an Infection Form protruding from their chest, and a mutated left arm that has been transformed into a set of massive tentacles. Always decaying, Common Forms have been known to be incredibly strong, with some possessing the elemental powers that they had in life.
 • Breaker Forms: Massive, hulking creatures that stand roughly fourteen feet tall. Breakers appear to be made of plant matter, though in reality this is the combined mass of Feranaki matter, usually merged Infection Forms. For an unknown reason, Breakers are highly susceptible to fire-based attacks.
 • Leviathan Forms: Leviathans are monstrosities. They stand forty to a hundred feet tall, with massive frontal legs that serve as their primary method of movement. Typically bearing large crests on their heads and massive jaws, Leviathans are incredibly powerful and difficult to destroy, particularly due to their regenerative abilities. They are able to “swallow” beings through openings on their feet, infecting them and ejecting them as Feranaki from their backs. Thankfully, Leviathans are very rare sights.

Who Are You?

The following is an admissions profile. Should you wish to join Perpetual, simply fill it out and post it in the profiles topic for approval.

Username: This will help keep characters’ owners straight.

Name: The name of your character. Keep it BIONICLE-ish.

Species: Custom species are allowed upon submission for review. Makuta and Karzahni/Artahka’s species are not allowed, at least not without talking to me about it first.

Gender: Obvious field is obvious.

Description: Separate paragraphs for appearance and personality, preferably. If you have a picture for your character, feel free to link to it as opposed to describing them.

Equipment: Your characters primary tools—weapons, doodads that help them do stuff, whatever is their equivalent of a Sonic Screwdriver. Just… equipment stuff.

Mask: Your character’s mask, if he/she has one. Anything but the Avohkii, Kraahkan, Olmak, and Legendary Masks are allowed. The Mask of Emulation and the Tryna will have limited powers because the former has been abused to no end in the past and the latter is somewhat not as useful here, given the circumstances. Custom masks are allowed with approval.

Powers: This covers your character's element and other powers. Anything is allowed, including custom elements, though Time and Life are not (the exception being if you have a power similar to Voporak's time field or Thok’s animation power.)

Vehicle: If your character has a vehicle, describe it—its appearance, its weapons, etc. If you have a picture, you can link to it. Some vehicles are also known to use above-average AI, allowing them to display Rahi-like behavior; if yours has such equipment, describe its personality as well.

Biography: Your character’s past—where he/she is from, whether or not they’ve died at all, all that jazz.

The World is Gone

The world is at your fingertips, changed as it may be, and so we will not go into great depth about the places you already know. However, below are descriptions of those that have been drastically altered, as well as locations that are not so easily researched.

Metru-Nui

Perhaps through sheer force of will, Metru-Nui is perhaps the least affected island in terms of depression regarding immortality. However, Feranaki attacks were concentrated here during the initial outbreak, leaving much of the city damaged or destroyed and with few workers left with the strength to rebuild. Those that remain continue to quietly keep things running, in the hope that Mata Nui will see their suffering brought to an end.

Zakaz

Being a natural war zone, Zakaz very quickly transformed into a mass grave of the living. As soon as the addition of the Fourth Death was added by Ruaki, activity on Zakaz began to decline, until finally the entire island went silent. Visitors to the island now find themselves surrounded on all sides by endless corpses, the minds inhabiting them screaming out every moment. Almost as a mockery of their physical state, a group of travelers arrived several years later with the intention of setting up the weapons of the fallen as grave markers next to their owners’ broken bodies. The “tribute” has yet to be undone.

Kai-Nam

Already a quiet place, the snowy island of Kai-Nam is completely deserted now. Bad memories plague those who witnessed Lyxek’s plans unfold, and those who had lived there and survived Lyxek’s activities no longer wish to be there.  The remains of the Day Run facilities, of the Ring, Guild of Tyis, and KNPD bases, and other notable locations, are still present, though have not been touched in years. A massive hole, slightly off from the middle of the island, marks the only entrance into the once-legendary Garden, a place now devoid of what life it used to possess.

Gynel

“The Place of Yearning,” as it is now called, Gynel was the original location of the Day Run—then called the Night Run. It was also the original home of the Feranaki, at the time prompting the Brotherhood of Makuta to blockade the island. Now, however, no ships surround it, and the land is devoid of any activity that is not affiliated with mourning. The decaying bodies of those that perished during the final Night Run tournament hundreds and hundreds of years ago, on the mountains and in the forests, serve as a painful, nostalgic reminder of what death truly means.

Stelt

Surprisingly, Stelt has possibly fared the best in the new chaos of the universe. Being a generally apathetic land to begin with, the inhabitants of Stelt simply don’t care about the ways in which things have transformed—in their eyes, the dread and dead bodies are simply another kind of trash to remove from the streets, not much different from what they had dealt with before.

Xia

There is no better way to destroy hope than by destroying the very foundation of society. This is something that Ruaki took to heart when he released the Feranaki, setting them upon the factories of Xia like a swarm of locusts in a field of corn. The entire island was razed, production ceasing to a total halt, the land becoming a phantom of what it once was. By destroying Xia, Ruaki effectively removed the world's market; for that reason, it is difficult to come by new, quality armor and equipment.

Quel

Sometimes called "The Breadbasket," the region known as Quel, the north of the Northern Continent was, and still is, known for its making of food. With the Immortality Factor in play, gangs rule the countryside, happily looting and then killing unsuspecting traders, only to be killed themselves by a larger gang. Metal, wood, and most other things of that nature are scarce, and bring a large price.

Tren Krom Peninsula

The Peninsula is now filled with beings hoping to use the harsh landscape as protection from their foe. They ignore the fact that it's as deadly to them as it is to their foes, and hide among the rocks and Acid Falls. De-Koro still upholds its 'No Toa' policy, while expanding to to 'Matoran only.' They remain one of the few places that's calm, and very, very silent.

Artania

Though it is located near Kai-Nam, Artania is vastly different in terms of its tone and geography. A lush, jungle island rich with diamonds and other rare crystals, Artania managed to remain as one of the few lands fairly untouched by Ruaki at the start--not that it does not hold its own darkness. Inhabited by the Toa-like beings called Artanians, life on Artania was a constant struggle against a creature known as the Relinquished, a mysterious being capable of absorbing others into its own body. As people tend to avoid this particular region of the universe nowadays, little is known of its current state.

Do note that this is not a complete list of locations. Should you wish for an original location to be added, simply send me a description in the style of the entries above--a name and a small paragraph detailing what the island is like nowadays--and it will be considered for addition into the location list.

Rules

1. First and foremost, all BZP rules apply—as usual. If you haven’t read them, they can be found here.

2. To emphasize two specific parts from the above, do not spam and do not flame. For the uninformed, spamming is the posting of pointless messages—in this case, posts that don’t apply to the RPG. Don’t do it. Flaming is the intentional act of OOCly attacking or provoking another member. Don’t do it. You will be punished.

3. Heed the words of the staff. In the case that either you think a staff member has made an unfair call or they may have blatantly disrespected you, take it up with me and we’ll sort it out.

4. Don’t majorly control another player’s character unless they have asked you to. To be specific—A. Don’t kill another player’s character without permission; B. Don’t severely injure another player’s character without permission; and C. Don’t make another player’s character do something huge without—you guessed it—their permission. If you want to do that with your own characters, by all means go for it.

5. You must be approved in the profile topic before you begin playing.

6. Do not God-Mode or meta-game. For those not in the “know”: meta-gaming is, essentially, making your character know something that you only know OOCly – like, for example, reading a conversation between two characters nowhere near your character and then having your character know of it. God-modding is pretty much just playing unfairly in battle—never tiring, being impossibly strong, etc. Both are looked down upon, and neither will be tolerated, even against NPCs. As an extension of this, Nova Blasts are not allowed.

7. Please be realistic. BIONICLE and earth physics may not completely apply, but you can’t jump a mio into the air – it’s just not possible without help. Along with this, you may have a fast vehicle, but don’t zip off from one place to another in one post. And make NPCs act like they should—if you insult a Skakdi, you’re going to get attacked.

8. Please use the OOC and IC systems when you post. Examples of each are as follows:

IC: Toa Likil fell down a hole, breaking his leg.

OOC: helpplox.

9. I do not have a specific character limit in mind. Please do not attempt to create an abundance of characters if you cannot handle them, however. Further, if you prove yourself untrustworthy (such as by creating a boatload of ridiculously powerful characters,) I will not hesitate to cut them down and I will not hesitate to put a personal limit in place. So, stay logical—for both our sakes.

10. Be fair—establish yourself as a trustworthy person and act on that. By this I mean don’t purposely undermine someone else’s character just to win a battle. It’s a game; if you have to resort to OOC cheating to win a battle, then you’ve got issues. You will also be punished.

11. Have fun! Don’t take this too seriously—it’s a game. Games are games are games. They won’t affect you.

-Those Who Live (Perpetual Profile Topic)

Emphasis On Death And Battle

I am going to say this once and once only: You will lose and you will die in this RPG. It is unavoidable. Completely. It will happen. Accept this now before the game starts. Having failed to get numerous people to accept the loss of battle in the past--in Day Run, in Night Ride, in Rise of the Rockets--the concession of defeat is one of my primary motivations for this game. While there are obviously consequences for losing and dying, as usual, the risk here is not as great as in some places, and not as lax as in others; therefore, there is no reason to not utilize the system based around death and loss that is a staple of this RPG.

So, having said that, I will request that you keep this in mind as you join. Do not make me force this on you, because I will if it comes down to it, regardless of whether or not I want to.

Thanks

This is just to issue a quick "thank you" to a few people, specifically the players in Day Run for seeing the game through over the past year and a half, as well as to you, the reader, assuming you read this entire entry.

And, heck, even if not, thank you for reading this message--it means a lot to me. =P

A small boat, more suited to fishing than long sea voyages, floats beside the half-filled pier, connected to it by only one tether. It's name is encribed into both sides: The Hungery Ruki. Within is but one seafarer: a Toa, armored in blue and gold, laying on a cot in the hold. It smells of fish, and not fresh ones either. Rolling her eyes, Calerix of Quel remembers that this was sadly, the best her money could buy. It had served her faithfully, though, by simply surviving the trip from the shore of Quel, on the north of the Northern Continent, and arriving here still afloat and somewhat in one piece.

Groaning, she gets up. Her dreams have been dark, filled with the memories of the one event she hopes to forget the most. Suddering, the Psionics user stands. Golden shoulder pads float over to where her shoulders should be, but there is nothing, until a few seconds later when arms, blue and gold to match their owner, flicker into being. Touching her daggers to make sure they're still in their sheathes, she leaves the boat and proceeds into the waking City of Legends. Perhaps something different, something better than usual, will happen today...

IC - Kovian/Sanshou - Kai-Nam, The Northern Barrens: A silent graveyard. That was what the Land of Revolution had been reduced to following the Ring's victory. Lyxek's organization had come into the metropolis that had once thrived there, taking what they wanted and bringing with them the end of the mortal era. Now deserted, the only things that remained were the empty buildings that had once housed so much life, so much innovation, so much hope for the universe.

They were frozen tombs, more or less. Tombs for those that had fallen to the Feranaki--or worse.

It was within one of these tombs--the former headquarters of the Day Run's Team Zero, more specifically--that Kovian, former Toa Exa of Ice, former Dark Hunter designate "Reaper," and current outcast, walked, black hood over his head as he observed the broken electronics, the powerless lights, the decrepit facility in its entirety. Beside him limped the Artanian Sanshou, her own black cloak blending in with her ebony-colored armor, silent as the wind--as was usual with her.

On the surface, the two companions might have seemed like an odd pair--one having served the most treacherous organization in the universe, the other having aimed for several years to wipe out immorality--but in truth, they shared more in common than one might have assumed. Both had been present on Kai-Nam when Lyxek had fulfilled his plans, removing the ability to truly die from the living. Both had attempted to save beings that they care deeply for, only to fail and watch as those loved ones were killed.

But, that word... Failure. That was their deepest link. They were both failures of the highest order. Try as they might, that was the one word that defined the great majority of events in their lives: Failure. Loss of battle, loss of lives...

It was painful to think about. But Kovian couldn't let himself forget, and neither could Sanshou. That was why they had opted to travel back to Kai-Nam, as they did every year, to remind themselves of what they had failed to stop.

Kovian pushed open the door to the Zero Archive, where a dozen or so dusty display cases awaited them. The majority of these were dedicated to beings that neither of the two had ever known, temporary members of Team Zero that had been recruited and lost in the KNPD-Ring War. The pair walked past five of these, ignoring the shrines to two fallen Toa, a Steltian Bruiser, a Vortixx, and one of the winged gladiators common to Stelt. Instead, they stopped in front of the final three cases, ones that they had personally helped construct.

Were it not for the generators permanently supplying power to this section of the facility, one might never have guessed who the beings were. Thanks to the large, vertical screens, however, there was no way that Kovian could not know. As usual, he read through them, taking in the familiar words that described Rodax--or, as the rest of Team Zero had known him, Zanth--his former friend and ally within the Toa Exa, who had sacrificed his life to save the rest of his group from Ruaki's angered spirit on that fateful day.

Beside him, information on Suya, an Ondarian, was displayed. Having been injured fatally by Lyxek, he had merged with Rodax, granting him power at the--for the time--temporary loss of his individual body. His soul, too, had been destroyed in the confrontation with Ruaki, never given a true chance to return to life.

It was the final case, however, that hung on Kovian's heart. A glance would make this one seem as if it was dedicated to the Ringmaster, the Toa of Sonics responsible for the Immortal Factor--for Ruaki's return to power. In a way, Kovian supposed it was. Illuxio had been the Lyxek of another dimension, transformed into, essentially, an AI, his memory wiped and his spirit transported to this realm. Kovian had found him, had become partners with him, and the AI had been crucial in figuring out what Lyxek was planning to do.

Indeed, Illuxio had almost stopped the Ringmaster, though in the end, he had failed, ending up deleted by Ruaki's nanobot body, and leaving only his own robotic body behind to collect...

There was nothing left to be said for them. Kovian bowed his head for a moment in respect, before turning and exiting the room, Sanshou following behind him...

IC: Ring HQ - Kai-Nam

In another region of the icy Barrens, a figure stood beside the vacant throne of Lyxek, this one too clad in a hooded cloak in an attempt to stave off the detestable cold and snow. A clawed hand ran across one of the grand chair's armrests, forcing memories of past deeds here to fill up her head, some of them painful, while other delectably evil. Yet she remained passive and quiet, just as the silence that permeated throughout the huge, abandoned fortress in the mountains, and the entire island itself.

Kaytana shifted her gaze away from the throne, now eyeing the computers on the ajacent wall with interest. They were, after all, the purpose of journey back here. She stepped over to the screens, where she extended her arms to the control panel. Locked inside the systems, she knew, was information on Lyxek's schemes and more, though she was after something much different. In the event that his plan failed and his enemies stood victorious, the Ringmaster must have had a Plan B on file, or any ideas for future attempts at beginning anew. While details on his grand revival project might be useless in these harsh times, Lyxek's possible backup plans may profit the Skakdi in some way.

That locked firmly in her mind, Kaytana set to work, recalling the procedures used back when that band of Ring enemies had been allowed to do the same here.

IC: Calik Raktu - Metru-Nui / Ga-Metru / Rooftops

Day whatever since death, stopped counting a long time ago. Pointless, really. Ga-Metru slowly deteriorating, repairs needed desperately. Not the guy to do it, however. Got bigger fish to fry.

Speaking of fish, did I mention I'm a vegan now? Ever since my death, I've avoided eating meat. Not sure how immortality works, but I don't want my Dikapi suddenly reforming on me. Stay safe.

Universe still Karzanhi to live in. Well, worse Karzanhi for me. Gotta live with one more failure.

Immortality. Couple years ago, I'd have done anything to keep people from dying. Now, I can't help but look at a Fourther and wish I could end it for them. But I can't. I'm too weak.

We're gods now, and we can't even kill. How pathetic.

-CR

Calik stopped writing for a moment, taking a look at his handiwork. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it would certainly have to do. He pocketed the journal and his pen, before swinging his legs back from over the edge of the building he was sitting on.

It was daybreak now, and the Toa watched as the first rays of sunlight peeked out from behind the horizon. It was a starkly beautiful scene, right there. He hadn't watched any sun rises before his death, he hadn't cared enough. Calik had been too full of rage and self-loathing to care about the pinkish hues that the twin suns cast onto the grey protodermic structures here, and the glint of light in the overflowing canals.

But now wasn't the time for poetic thoughts, he realized. He had spotted a small boat approaching the docks, with a figure obviously controlling the vessel. It had been days since Calik had seen another living being, he wasn't about to let the first one he saw slip into the city unnoticed. Not when they could an ally... or a threat.

Slipping back down to street-level, the Toa of Fire headed straight for an old, decrepit alleyway, the sort of place you didn't want to hang out in unless you had a sword or a death wish. Luckily, Calik had both.

There, tucked between two piles of refuse, sat his pride and joy; the Ragnorak.

"So, Calik," the AI said as he approached, "Finally coming back for me?"

Calik snorted as he mounted the vehicle, switching on the main ion drives smoothly, "Keep complaining Nuts & Bolts; I dare ya."

Without another word out of the either of them, the bike and rider slipped through the alleys of Ga-Metru, towards the docks.

OOC: He's headed towards you, Zakaro.  ^_^

IC - Gargh, Silver SeaGargh walked atop the rotting wood of the ship, heading for the bow; he had been on this floating log for far too long now. The sun was coming up and the birds were gawking. Lucky for him, Gargh couldn't hear any of it, and for that he was glad.Pressing himself against the railing, something stuck out to the Toa of Sonics. There was a mask tucked between two barrels. But that was not the odd part; a head was connected to the mask. Someone escaped along with me, Gargh thought. He used his Sutelu to determine if there was any life left in it.Unfortunately, there was.Gargh, the being thought. Gargh, please help. Take me to Metru-Nui or somewhere. Please.Gargh moved closed, pushing away a barrel. It revealed that the Matoran had a full torso, but nothing else. He stared, with eyes that could freeze the soul. Nobody would care if I brought you to Metru-Nui. Nobody can fix you now. He looked up. There was an island approaching in the distance. It seemed to be just a mass of solid protodermis. He steered the boat to dock there. Closer inspection showed that Gargh was right; it was just a mass of solid protodermis. Regardless, he picked up the mutilated Matoran and set him down on the island. What are you doing!? the Matoran asked in shock.I can't have people think that I care for the living dead. Just be thankful that this island showed up; I was going to drop you in the sea.

She was nearing the end of her pier, getting ready to turn onto the main one before exiting this dock altogether. Calerix figured that there must be someone still living in the mainly abandoned city, a person who she could possibly trade with for some food or spare parts for her boat.

The Toa paused. She could hear something, most likely mechanical in nature, moving within the city beyond. What was important about that, however, was that it was becoming louder. A clear indicator of it traveling towards her. She debated about doing a quick mind-sweep, to check how many beings were coming. After a second or two, she relented and swept outwards with her mind. If anyone was watching, though she was quite sure none were, her arms would have flickered slightly.

Thankfully, there was but a couple of Rahi and 1 sapient being in the region. The sapient mind was definately the one moving towards her, as well. Calerix didn't attempt to read the person's mind. She usually could only do that when she could see the being, and besides, what would it gain her? She wondered briefly if her scan had been felt by the other being, before deciding that it wasn't what she should focus on at the present time.

Unsheathing one of her daggers with telekinesis, the illusionary arm moving to 'grasp' it, she continued her walk, purple eyes watching for any movement.

OOC: The profile didn't really say anything about how much sound the Ragnorak made, so if it wouldn't be heard from such a distance then let me know and I can edit. :)

IC: As Kaytana took to tapping keys on Lyxek's abandoned computers, a shadow flitted through the rafters above her, virtually silent save for the rushing of the wind as the being moved. It would be enough to get her attention, of course--even he could not match the utter silence of the place--though with the clicking of her talons on the metal surfaces, it might take a moment.

Shutting off power to the engine, Calik brushed the dirt out of his eyes as he dismounted, before taking his first good look at the newcomer.

She was short, for one thing, with the blue and gold armour which was usually worn by Toa of Psionics. Humph, she should meet Greel, they'd probably hit it off nicely.

Apart from that, she seemed perfectly ordinary... and had already pulled out a knife. So, it's going to be that kind of day.

Raising his hands up slightly, in a "hold on there" kind of way, he took a few cautious steps forward, "Look, I'm not dangerous; let's just put the knife down and, y'know, not to try and kill each other."

IC: Veran

Sitting at the bar, Veran smirked as he drank from his glass, placing it on the table in front of him. His permanent smile was fixture on his face as he stared into the bottom of the glass. The Toa sighed, looked like he had finished another glass. “Aye, bartender,” He called out to the man who was serving him lazily. “I’d like another cup of this delightful drink. Also, would you mind giving me a ride home, tonight? I’d hate to get into an accident.” He told the man jokingly. The bartender, an older-looking Toa of Stone simply responded with a grunt and poured the Toa another drink, seemingly oblivious to Veran’s humor. Veran rolled his eyes, “Man, you could at least laugh at my joke.” He said. The bartender ignored him, walking off to serve a table full of rather rambunctious travelers who were pounding their fists on the table and shoving their faces full with pie. It was quite annoying, but Veran tried to ignore it until they said one particular thing that irritated him.

“I tell you… I don’t know why everyone is in such a big fuss about this whole immortality thing! No one can kill us in battle, we simply resurrect! We should be living like there is no tomorrow! There is no death!” One of these men shouted, slamming his mug down on the table. His fellow travelers shouted in agreement and their booming voices shook the bar.

It was then that Veran got off his stool and walked over towards the table of travelers. They raised their eyebrows as he got closer and one of them aggressively says, “Who are you?”

“Well, I’m Toa Veran, glad you asked!” He told the traveler cheerfully, despite the feelings of hate that were boiling deep down inside of him. He then squeezed into the little table, making room for himself. The other travelers looked at him with irritation and confusion. “So you guys think this immortality thing is awesome, don’t you?” He asked the others and they all nodded their heads. He then asked the piercing question, “Well, how many times have each of you died?”

Some had died three times, other twice, and many only experienced resurrection once. The point was that they had all died before. They were walking corpses. “Ah, so none of you knows what happens the fourth time…”

“What are you rambling on about, madman!?” One of them growled angrily, revealing a rather large sword and pulling it out, pointing it at the Toa from across the table.

Veran laughed, “Your not supposed to bring weapons to the table! Only knives and forks!” He told the other man.

“I’ve had enough of your-“

Before he could finish his sentence, his throat was slit and blood poured out of it onto his comrades. The man hit the ground and hard. A pool of blood was forming underneath him. He was one of the Toa who had died three times so far and now it was the fourth. He’d be resurrected, but not in a way that they expected. It pained Veran to do so, but they had to understand. This way they could understand the same way he was forced to understand. The immortality was nothing but a lie, a curse, a cruel trick designed to make you lower your guard. Death was gone, but that didn’t mean that danger didn’t still exist in this world. He and his girlfriend had learned that the hard way and that was why she lay there on a cold slab, hidden away in his house’s basement. Her body was broken, but her mind sadly remained intact. This was why these men had to understand… they had to understand or else they would fall to the same fate.

So with tears, as the other men pulled out their weapons, Veran blew all of them away with his cyclone. He then cut into each of their bodies as they ran at him foolishly, his scythe becoming the tool of death itself. When the task of revelation was complete, twelve bodies littered the dusty bar and the bartender simply dropped his glass in stunned silence. Veran’s armor was now covered in red blood and he stood in the center of these bodies. It wasn’t the scene that horrified the bartender. No, it was what Veran had on his face that frightened him.

He was smiling.

IC: Levacius / Metru-Nui (I presume)

It was at about that time that Veran stood smiling in the middle of a bar, covered in blood and surrounded by bodies, that a white armored Toa of Lightning came walking in, swords sheathed over his back. At first, he appeared mostly oblivious to everything that was happening around him. As he moved passed the doors, however, he glanced down, before giving a quick look to Veran, and then the bartender, and then the bodies again. "Now that's not what I expected to find here. Oh well, they'll be back up soon enough. Care explaining, however, why you've doomed twelve able men, three of whom were tasked to gather information under my employ, to be twenty-five percent closer to being trapped in lifeless husks?"

Unlike Veran, who was smiling at the scene, Levacius kept a rather strong demeanor of being utterly calm, and not in the least bit overtly stressed or worried. The fact he was crossing his arms, however, was an unstated declaration that he did have the intention of being answered.

The Toa of Lightning took a quick moment to glance to the bartender and say, "You, get out a bottle of Paludis 5396. At least seventy percent, and don't think for a moment I can't taste the difference if you intend on getting paid." The old Toa of Stone was quick to move out and retrieve the wine. It wasn't so much an order for a drink as a way of telling him to vacate the room.

IC: Veran (Metru-Nui Bar)

Veran's eyes stared at this new Toa who had entered the setting. Well, this was actually kind of annoying. He had only intended there to be one witness to what he had just done. He figured he could simply just scare the bartender out of talking to any troublesome law enforcers or other Toa who would want to find the 'murderer'. That caused Veran to chuckle out loud at the thought of it. Immortality had changed murder, it was no longer simple as that. In a world where people could resurrect from death, what was exactly murder? Trapping them in their bodies because they were arrogant and foolish enough to believe that immortality came without a price? If so, then yes, Veran had indeed just murderered three of those men. He had no problem with it, though. Those who were resurrected would come to see how dangerous it was to take the whole immortality thing for granted like his dear Demitia. That was why he did what he did.

"Well, have you come to join the party? As for your men, I slit their throats simply because I did not like the way that they acted. They were a loud bunch, you should really teach them something about manners!" He told the other man with that same stupid gri on his face.

IC: Vertak, Ga-Metru, Great Temple:

The Matoran, with once bright purple armour long ago burnt beyond black, leaned heavily on his staff. He stood in the middle of the grand chamber before the Toa Suva within, idly inspecting the object. A few moments later, with nothing else to interest him in the temple, he slowly turned and began to limp towards the exit.

He had been defeated recently - he had been tracking down Sanshou for the past several months, only to discover that she was already gone. Where to he knew not, but chances were it was the end of his fruitless search. He could barely recall the name belonging to someone that was there on Kai-Nam as it was; he could not remember what she looked like.

Kai-Nam... the island returned to the forefront of Vertak's mind as he exited the Great Temple and began to limp back towards the mainland of Ga-Metru. He had not been to the island for several years - indeed, he had returned the previous time only to gather some personal belongings from the former Team Zero base before leaving again. The island, to him, held too many memories of defeat. It had been these losses, the only times he couldn't afford to lose, that had torn him apart.

"Tavyn, bring in the Tumbler." he said, speaking so quietly into the radio built into his mask that he could barely hear himself. "Meet me by the bridge to the Great Temple."

It did indeed take a moment or two to realize the disturbance in the room, for she was very intent on extracting information from the computers. She paused, her clawed hands hovering just above the keys of the main console, as if in thought; the flittering of a shadow overhead and a slight break in the oppressive silence (other than the clicking of her typing), set the Skakdi in alert. Something was very wrong here, since the entire base -- and by extension, the whole island -- should have been void of any other inhabitance, unless it was some Rahi that had sought to claim its territory here.

Kaytana whirled on her heels, the fabric of her cloak swirling with her motions as she turned to the rest of the chamber. Her eyes immediately drifted to the ceiling, where the thing had passed aloft. She noticed nothing out of the ordinary, or course, due to her observer's method of concealment. Wary now, one of her hands gripped the handle of her sheathed sword firmly; the material of her robe, drawn over her shoulders and drapping her front, hid this action from sight.

"I know your here, so there's no use in hiding anymore," Kaytana said, her voice booming in the incredible silence of the place. "Come out, come out wherever you are..."

IC: Levacius / Metru-Nui

"Yes, well, I'm afraid your understanding of how to teach someone a lesson is greatly skewed by the fact you appear to be a psychopath. Have you considered, perhaps, that they would figure it out on a later date? Or that, perhaps, they'll continue on anyways, even with a few of their number locked away permanently. The only godsend you have right now is the erroneous statement that any of these were men. They were just performing a task for me, because they're stupid and have no idea how important it was."

Levacius continued observing the situation. "Distance, eight feet. His weapon has a reach advantage, but it's a scythe, so he obviously has no idea what he's doing. Elemental powers unknown, mask power unknown. Other abilities? Who knows. Willing to kill, obviously. Table between us, easily kicked up as a distraction. Not connected to the floorboards, it appears. Matoran to his left has a dagger in his hand - a simple roll beneath the weapon and I could have that cut across his hamstring. Assuming an attempt to reach down, I can send a quick zap of electricity before a pommel strike to the exposed back of the head, followed by one to the throat. Unconsciousness follows. Easily taken to the security department."

Still not showing any hint of a smile, or any other discernible emotion, the white armored Toa said, "Now, I'm assuming you know how to handle this as gentlemen. If not, we'll have to handle it as criminals. Though I assure you, my fame and infamy are far in excess, whichever way you choose."

The Toa of Air let out a little giggle at Levacius’s words. “Perhaps I am simply a psychopath! Or maybe I’m the messenger of death himself! Here to teach these pathetic mongrels you call grunts that even immortality comes with a price! I had to enlighten their poor souls and it was the only way for them to learn it.” Veran rambled on swinging his scythe around like some kind of maniac. He continued to twirl it in his hands until he decided to point it at Levacius. “You on the other hand seem to understand how it works… how this game of life and death is played! Perhaps you have lost someone too… a sister, a brother, or maybe even a girlfriend?” He asked the other Toa, staring into the man’s eyes, searching for something. Perhaps some sign that he too was like him, someone who had lost a loved one to the curse of death.

“Ah, but it doesn’t matter…  I have no quarrel with you but I have a feeling that it’s the opposite for you. You probably want to tear my head off right now, don’t you?” He asked the other man. “If it’s a fight you want, you can come and get it! A battle royal to the death!” He shouted dramatically.

He then stroked his chin, “Well I suppose death would be the wrong choice of words. Maybe a battle to resurrection would suit it better?”

IC: There was no answer from the shadows. Whoever was up there apparently was not interested in talking. Instead, the stretching of something elastic hissed out from the darkness above, before the room went silent again. For a moment, nothing happened, leaving Kaytana to wonder what that noise had been, especially since it had sounded like a sling--

The computer next to her sparked suddenly as a metallic object shot past her, embedding itself in the frame of the monitor. In an instant, small wires had extended from the capsule, plugging into various ports on the console and causing numerous files and pictures to flash on the screen, downloading them into some unknown network before shutting off. The wires on the sphere went limp, leaving the files open on the screen. A soft light seemed to glow from above for a moment before disappearing again--a PDA-like device, from the looks of it, briefly illuminating the Toa's chest.

Evidently, the being above Kaytana was interested in the same information that she was.

"Yes, you are crazy, aren't you? And I would hardly recommend you challenge me to anything close to a duel to the death. I would have your head before the first pass. And so far, no, I haven't lost anyone. Not permanently. Not yet. I haven't yet, not even before people were returned to life. And I have no intention to."

"I would recommend you put down the scythe and calmly leave this bar. I will, of course, report you to the authorities, but you'll have enough time to run and find a boat to hide in. That way, I can get my drink and go in peace. Otherwise, we will have to engage in a fight you cannot possibly win, which will end with me dragging you by the neck to the security office here in the city, or you killing me. For a time, at least. But then I'll have to come back after you... and I never lose twice."

"So, these are your options. The hard way, or the easy way. In case this hasn't penetrated your mind yet, I have a name that people fear. I am known as the Griffon."

The bartender, who walked in as that statement was declared, was now standing with even wider eyes than before. Wider eyes that signaled he was unsure who to fear more - and that alone spoke volumes of who Veran was dealing with.

“Hmm,” Veran stroked his chin as if in deep thought. He stared at Levacius for about ten seconds before he let out a large burst of laughter. It was clear at this point that Veran was indeed insane and beyond reason. Whatever had made him this way had truly made him lose all of the sanity that he once had.

“Griffon Smiffin, you talk a lot of big game! Part of me wants to see if it’s truly worth all the hype. You see here’s the problem with what you just said… I don’t need the police on my back… There was only supposed to be one witness to this crime.” He told Levacius. “But, can you really call it a crime? They’ll be back in two days tops and hopefully a tad bit wiser!” He declared with a bit of laughter. “So, instead of just scaring the bartender into keeping his mouth shut, I think I’ll blow the top off this little shindig!”

While he had been talking rambling on, Veran had simply been stalling. He hadn’t been twirling his scythe on and on for no reason after all. No, he was preparing to unleash a powerful blast of wind that would most likely destroy half of the bar. Charging up elemental energy like that was not easy at all. It took time and this schmuck had just got him the time that he needed.

“Good bye, griffon!” He exclaimed and then with a deep breath, he released his blast of air. Levacius’s eyes widened as a cyclone was unleashed out of Veran’s scythe and into his direction. The cyclone easily ripped through the table that was in front of them and it headed towards Levacius with great speed. Veran didn’t really care about watching it tear the other Toa to shreds… he just needed to get out of the bar quickly enough.

Jumping out of the cushion seat he’d been sitting on, he leapt over several tables and was out of the bar’s door as quickly as he had left it.

Levacius wasn't going to be so easily taken out. As the wind burst hit, he went through with his initial plan of kicking the table up, causing it to take the brunt of the wind heading for him as he leaped up into the air. The table went flying back, and his legs landed on it, sending him flying back with it. As he neared the far wall, he placed his hands on one of the legs and flipped out, hurtling himself past the wind and landing himself safely - but a little more sore.

This all took place in just a few seconds of pure acrobatics as Levacius threw out his will to the door Veran was trying to escape through, creating a barrier of electricity and trapping it. The moment he touched it, he would have to deal with a heavy and quite stunning electric shock.

OOC: Brute strength and stamina have nothing on agility and speed. Lightning bolts can be dodged.

The Toa of Air looked over his shoulder to see that Levacius was sadly still kicking. He wasn’t sure if this guy was the ultimate warrior that he claimed to be, but he did have a certain penchant for surviving things that should kill him. It didn’t matter, though. Veran was heading straight for the door and the Toa would soon be behind him. At the speed he was moving Veran would be unable to open the door without slowing down greatly. He couldn’t afford that and he had the perfect ability for situations like this. He simply activated his Kanohi and to Levacius’s bewilderment, he walked right through the door, avoiding the nasty little electric trap that Levacius had tried to set up.

Veran continued to grin as he thought, Mask of Intangibility sure is useful…

Now, most people get their visions of Ga-Metru from the brochures, of the gentle lapping of canals and the industrious Matoran hard at work in schools and laboratories. And while that was true in some parts of the city, some places like the outskirts opposed that perfect image of daily life. This place was rough, and had only gotten rougher since the Immortal Factor. This was where Calik had made one of his homes in the city, amongst the rejects of society.

Finally, he shut off his bike, dismounting and giving the quick order (to the vehicle) to find some place to hide. Turning back to Calerix, he leaned against a wall, waiting patiently for her to arrive.

IC: Levacius / Metru-Nui

Veran had a short breather before Levacius emerged from the door to watch him run off. The problem for him was that Levacius had experience with intangibility - along with many other abilities - and was therefore not impressed. The door was trapped with a weaker field, one that wouldn't be a problem to somebody who had so little density.

But being intangible doesn't mean you have no density, it just meant you were intangible. Unless, of course, Veran could bring such concentration while running. Levacius stretched his hand out and created a highly powerful electric field directly in front of Veran, leaving only a slight shimmer in the air before him. Just enough to break the focus needed to use a Kanohi mask, for now. That was all Levacius needed.

IC: Veran/Metru-Nui

The Toa of Air happily danced away, believing that he was now in the clear after phasing through the first door. Little did he know that Levacius had created another electrical field only a few feet in front of him, it shimmered brightly, but Veran failed to notice it and the Toa of Air fell right into the trap. Needless to say, his body was shocked with electricity and Veran let out a sharp cry as the electricity traveled through his body, numbing his senses. The shock was great and Veran initially fell to the ground, slamming his fists into the ground in pain. However, this wasn’t the first time that a Toa like himself had experienced great pain. No, it was quite the opposite. Pushing past the powerful shock, Veran got to his feet and his eyes were now bloodlust as he looked back into the bar. He knew who was behind this. That Toa who he had thought he was clear of.

“So you’re a Toa of Lightning? Interesting… I’ve never been quite shocked like that before! It was quite the enjoyable sensation!” He shouted out to Levacius, making small talk as the Toa of Lightning emerged from the bar. Their fight had now entered the streets. There was also a good amount of feet between them now.

Raising his arm weakly, Veran released a small ball of air using only a miniscule amount of energy. The air between them rippled as the ball shot forward and exploded in a blast of air, sending everything in the street in many directions.

The worst thing about his little air bullet was that they were rather easy to create… They were incredibly easy for Veran to form simply being compressed air that he released into the environment for them to explode with their blasts of air. More of the air bullets followed, ricocheting through the streets. The street was getting wrecked, but Veran only had one target and that was Levacius.

IC: Levacius / Metru-Nui

Toa of air were always so full of its well heated form. It made Levacius chuckle just thinking about how overconfident this air Toa was in this situation. Rather than trying to duck or weave, however, Levacius did something more unexpected - he fell feet first to the ground, drawing his blade Vionu-Sitari in the process.

Once on the ground, Levacius was temporarily safe from the volley of air bullets that flew past him. The open alley gave him a clear view to his enemy, with which he made use of the element of surprise - the strongest power of all - to fire a blast of lightning that split into three separate blasts halfway to their target. One was heading on a straight, lightning quick course to Veran; the other two, a little to his right and left, in case he attempted to dodge.

Immediately following that shot, Levacius somersaulted back up and began looking for his target, to fire out a few more lightning blasts.

IC: Calik Raktu - Metru-Nui / Ga-Metru / Near Battle

Calik was about to answer Calerix's question, when two rowdy (and possibly drunk) Toa came out of the building next to them, fighting. One of them, a creepy-looking Toa of Air had walked into an electric field summoned by his opponents, and in retaliation, started blowing up parts of the street.

Now, the outskirts were already in pretty bad shape, but these fellows were putting it into even worse condition. Now, that just wouldn't do...

Suddenly, Calix's fists lit on fire, an action which proceeded him hurling the flames at the ground between the two combatants.

"Actually, the bar's right next to us," the Toa of Fire answered to Calerix, "You go in; I'll just be a minute."

"Now then, gentlemen, as much as I love a good back-alley brawl," he continued, now directing his speech towards the two strange Toa, "I'm afraid that you're ruining my little slice of paradise. Now please stop, or I promise, you will eternally live to regret it."

OOC: That's Veran and Levacius he's talking to, by the way.

OOC Oh goodie, they're nearIC Thane (Ga-Koro outskirts)Having wandered a far ways away from the docks, Thane, trudging along in his Exo-Toa armor, was wandering around the outskirts when he came across a few brawling toa. Not saying anything, he continued walking towards them, hoping that the loud tramp of the Exo-Toa's footsteps would grab their attention.

IC: Veran/Metru-Nui

Veran raised an eyebrow as the Toa of Lightning hit the ground quickly to evade the barrage of air bombs being thrown at him. It was a smart move on his part, but it did give Veran a slight advantage. He was still on his feet and thus could move around more effectively. A blast of lightning shot forward at him and when it started getting closer, the lightning split into three different blasts, each heading in a different direction. Realizing that left, right, and forward were not available lines of escape, the Toa of Air simply looked up into the sky. His already crazed smirk seem only widen after that point. Activating his elemental powers, Veran prepared a blast of air to be unleashed, not at Levacius, but on himself. Toa of Air had attempted flight for many years without the use of a Miru or a Zadin and they all resulted in failure. What Veran was doing wasn’t exactly flight… no, it wasn’t at all. It was more like being rocketed up from the force of the blast that he had just unleashed from his feet. Veran shot into the air like a cannon and below him, the lightning blasts slammed into each other, creating an explosion where he would’ve been standing. When the smoke and fire cleared, there was nothing but scorched ground there.

Veran landed on the top of one of the local buildings in the area and the smoke created from the lightning blast had created cover for Veran. Levacius wouldn’t know what building he was on. This was perfect for he know had an even greater advantage over his foe. He wiped his forehead before moving on. That blackened earth could’ve been him if it weren’t for some quick thinking. Both of the Toa had plenty of power to toss around that was certain. This battle would go on forever if Veran didn’t end it quickly. That was when he got a brilliant idea.

As an experienced warrior, Levacius expected attacks from every side except the back most likely. Turning towards the bar that the fight had started in, Veran skipped over to it. He danced on the rooftops, spinning in the air and landing gracefully on his feet. He would then run across the rooftop and leap to the other building until he was on top of the bar’s roof. He did all of it slightly, assisted by his manipulation of the winds which allowed him to never even touch the ground or falter. Now that he was on top of the building, Veran cursed. He would’ve preferred that the building had a chimney, but it wasn’t so. He’d have to use his Kanohi.

Phasing, he simply allowed himself to fall through the building and land right into the bar where he had started his day off. It didn’t take much energy since this was the first thing that he had learned when he became a Toa and activated his mask. Slipping through buildings was quite possibly the easiest thing to do since you weren’t really concentrating, just falling. Anyway, now that he was in the bar, he slipped out of its doors and moved quickly, swiftly and silently until he was crouched behind Levacius, holding his scythe tightly in hand.

The Toa of Lightning felt a cold steel blade on his neck and a quiet voice that whispered, “Game over.”

OOC: IGNORE THIS PLEASE! I didn't see Emissary's post when I was writing this... Will edit shortly.
