OOC:

Just to be clear, the disappearance in my IC is not related to time travel or anything like that.

IC: N# 1134 (Central City)

1134 stood in the offices of the Police Headquarters. He heard someone say, "Look at that. A missing Agori." 1134 said in his telepathic 'voice', I will take the case. The two Toa who had been reading about the disappearance shivered as the thoughts entered their heads. 1134 knew that people were always uncomfortable around him when he 'spoke'. He just sighed and grabbed a case file. The Agori was a Jungle and had last been seen in Olford. The briefing had a small piece of their clothing that had been found in a fence in Olford. 1134 looked at it and started to detect the energy signatures. He got onto his police motorcycle and drove off to Olford.

IC: Nakenah / Central City

Nakenah turned past a corner as she explored the city, looking for a place to eat during her break. She passed a number of people, many of whom who shied away, and began walking opposite to Ophaim.

IC, Whira: Whira had to admit, she was a little surprised when Nakahi put his arm around her waist. Usually, the guys she knew were to concerned with her appearance and wouldn't do that. But this guy... he was bold. Whira liked that. Another sign that this would be an interesting night. "Personally, I like the night better than the day," she replied. "It's so... interesting, and much more stuff happens at night than happens during the day." Obviously, this had to do with her secretly being a Toa of Shadow, but still, this was a small shred of truth.

IC: (Atahu)

"There is a grace that the night has, that the day lacks. The shadows' embrace is not nearly as cold as some would believe." Atahu smiled and continued on. He had noticed how she did not shrink from his grip, in fact Whira seemed to lean a little more against him. If only it were so easy to snare other women as easily as this he would done an act like this ages ago. Time to be a bolder still. "I do enjoy the park but I'm thinking of a change of scenery. My apartment isn't much farther from where we are. You and I could talk about our mutual interests over a drink or two." He smirked again It was his invitation to her. If she turned it down Atahu didn't seen it as much of a loss, but if she did accept. Then it was clear that she had fallen for him completely.

OOC: Apologies, I have been so busy with school and other stuff I haven't had time to really respond to anyone.

IC: Ophaim - Central City

Ophaim took note of the Toa of the Shadow that walked by him, his mind assessing if she would be capable of threatening him or not. It was obvious that she was dangerous, but it depended on whether she actually felt like attacking him. Even though he knew she probably would not in such a crowded area, he instinctively did so anyway, as his subconscious considered the beings of darkness extremely dangerous.

IC: Nakenah / Central City

It was just as Ophaim moved past that Nakenah stopped and look at the window of the shop. Since he was the closest person at the moment, she decided to ask him - "Excuse me, but do you know how good the baked Striker tastes?"

OOC: It's the first Spherus Magnan native bird I could pull up on BS01.

IC, Whira: Perfect.

"Sure, that'll be great," Whira said with a slight smirk of her own. How... pleasant- the fool was making his own home a trap. Whira enjoyed that. It would make his eventual... disappearance less suspicious... If all men could be like him, inviting her to their homes instead of her having to drag them to her place... Oh well. No matter. She was going to get him, she could see that. He probably thought that she was into him. However, Whira was more or less interested in his light than anything else. Which is why she was getting a little anxious. She was ready.

IC: N# 1134

1134 arrived in Olford and pulled his hood up. He went to the Agori's home and began to trace the energy signal of the disappeared. The trail was fairly weak, but it was still followable. N# 1134 started to run, following the energy trail. It led him to a train station. He walked inside, took out a photo of the Agori and his badge. He went up to the ticket counter and put them both down. He spoke in his telepathic voice, Did you sell a ticket to this person? The clerk jumped back, shivering. N# 1134 thought, Sorry. Please answer the question. The clerk said, "Yes. Three days ago." N# 1134 knew that three days ago was when the Agori disappeared.

IC: Nakenah / Central City

Nakenah had to think a moment. Hmm... she had kept that one guy going for some time last time. Maybe she could continue this conversation? It was worth a shot.

A little hesitantly, she called, "Excuse me, but uh... what... what was your name?"

This was a little different, since he wasn't a colleague or anything, just some random person.

IC: Nakenah / Central City

Nakenah tried to think if she had heard the name before when working. She thought she might have seen something on a paper before, but those all blended together. Her dislike of reading was only doubled when it came to paperwork, which was why she never did any desk jobs. It got her a bit of a pay cut, but honestly, what's a pay cut to having to sit down and read files? It's not like they would fire her - she was their best operative at her job, guaranteed.

"Pleasure to meet you! I'm Nakenah. Is... there anything else... uh... that you can tell me about this... place?"

OOC: Where go the staff? Someone set them up the bomb.

OOC: I had to get a new phone, but I'm back.IC: I grinned, my green eyes meeting Samarah's. "You bet." I sighed. "Guess we better get back to the bar..."IC: NakaNaka crossed her arms, watching the rest of the group of thieves generally making fools of themselves. That wasn't her. She watched, fearful that some little bit of information that might give her a critical advantage would slip by.She didn't get to be Scorum's right hand Toa by getting drunk.

No such thing as destiny.

IC: Trunai (Ga-Karo Nui)

Trunai walked home from the casino and hung his jacket up. His apartment was rather large, but he didn't care. What mattered, was it safety, and it was very secure. He was taking time off from work (Which may or may not have been ordered by his employers do to him seeing things on the job). He grabbed his suitcase, and walked out the door. He got into his car, reinforced by Protosteel in the case of a crash, and started to drive off to Central City. His employers said that the lights and sounds of the big city would distract him an calm him down. He didn't think so. After all, most of the suspect less crimes had been occurring in Central City. How was he supposed to feel calm when that was happening?

OOC: I finally posted!

IC: [Kilayox - Olford Mines]

Fire, wind, and water were being thrown throughout the mine without caution hitting and damaging structures without warning. Kilayox cackled madly as she danced in the chaotic environment, paying no attention to her ‘allies’. She was enjoying herself far too much to be bothered with babysitting them in this fight. They appeared to be purely focused on the battle, though. Their enemies were determined to kill them after all and the slightest mistake could lead to a bullet in one’s foot or head or being burnt alive. The point was clear. Whoever won this battle would be the people who were the most careful. However, no one noticed that the wall behind them was starting to crack.

The elevator shaft trembled with each attack that hit it and eventually, as Kilayox dodged a scorching first blast and a colossal blast flew into it, these cracks turned into gaping holes. Kilayox turned around just in time to see that the wall was starting to fall. Her eyes widened and suddenly she was hit by a terrible feeling as it all dawned on her. She had been stuck in a canister for over a thousand years. She had only just gotten out and was about to be squashed by rocks. Gritting her teeth, she moved forward in an athletic run, not caring if anyone else got out or alive. I refuse to be trapped again! Never again! She thought fiercely. The Toa hit men also started to run as rocks and rubble flew down as the wall continued to crumble.

IC: N# 1134

1134 got on his police motorcycle and kicked it into full gear. He started to drive to Ga-Koro Nui, and sometime later, he arrived. He drove to the train station and located the energy signal. He bagan to follow it, and walked to a hotel. He pulled his cloak over his eyes, and stood across the street from it. He watched the building, holding his badge in his hand. Then, the disappeared Agori came out of the hotel. 1134 ran across the street, and came to the Agori. He 'said', I am a police detective. A search warrant has been issued for you. We need to talk.

Several hours later, he arrived back in the police office. The Agori just wanted to have a better life in Ga-Koro Nui and ran away. He had done his job, even though the solution was rather simple.

IC: Skrall's shield had the intended effect; striking Kranos like the wrath of a particularly spiky god. The Toa went down, a sizeable crack running down the left side of his Kakama where one of the spikes had dug deep. Skrall was on his immediately, planting one foot on the Toa's chest and aiming his sword's tip at his throat. Skrall turned to the elite of the group, looking for his judgement

Skrall reached out his hand, and presented a thumbs up. "Let him live. For now. He cannot pursue us; not with that crack in his mask. When some passerby finds him on the road, let him tell them of how we, the Skrall, defeated him. Let him tell them we're coming."

"But for now..." he said, looking in the direction of where he knew the watchtower to be, "We have a destination."

IC: LoriNighttimeCave, mountains north of OlfordFinding Naka wasn't difficult. Her presence was like a lighthouse shining through a stormy night. As tumultuous as the open ocean was the mass of people talking and laughing and drinking; as quiet and as commanding as a lighthouse was Naka, who stood apart from the commotion with her arms folded across her chest and her face emotionless.Application of the Volitak allowed Lori to reach the Toa of Stone without attracting attention."Are you really going to let them waste themselves like this?" he asked, deactivating his Kanohi. "Look, I want to get something done -- anything except waking up tomorrow in a corner with a hangover. At least let me take a couple of people on a grab-and-go."

Yes, it probably would have been effective at shutting some of them up, at least for a time. Yes, he wasn't actually supposed to hurt anyone... but if they got too out of hand.

Well.

GM IC: Turaga VakamaAfternoonOutskirts of Ga-Koro-NuiVakama's virtual tablet beeped. How odd. Few people attempted to contact him nowadays; he spent his time on the outskirts of civilization, rarely interacting with anyone apart from his brothers and sister. Who, then, would choose such an inopportune time as a mid-afternoon meal to contact him?The old Turaga had to hunt for the proper button on his computer before he could answer the call. The ID on his computer displayed PANEL HQ. "This is Turaga Vakama," he said."Turaga Vakama, sir" -- a youthful if tired voice answered Vakama -- "I'm sorry to bother you, but a 'Levacius' is requesting to speak with you about an autobiography."Vakama paused and thought, his eyes automatically directing themselves out the front window of his dwelling to the shore outside. "Autobiography?""He's been trying to get an appointment with you for two years.""Ah." Vakama did vaguely remember a series of similar calls about the matter. Most of them, his foggy memory indicated, were made during mealtimes. He did not want to be interviewed by a stranger for a book over which he had no control, but his many years of life had taught him that avoiding a thing was often more burdensome than the thing itself. "Right. Er, I am in the middle of a meal, so perhaps this meeting could be scheduled for later?""Of course, sir. On what later date do you wish to schedule the meeting?"Vakama took more time in formulating this reply. "I don't know," he admitted. "I'm not used to scheduling interviews and whatnot.""Of course. I'm sorry for bothering you, sir. Do you want me to patch Levacius through?""Um... yes. But please wait till I'm done eating."The operator's pause was brief but noticeable. "Right, Turaga. I'll have Levacius on hold till then.""Thank you."The computer emitted a click-beep, and an indicator on Vakama's tablet told him the call had been ended. Vakama sighed, placed the handheld computer back on the table, took up his utensils, and abruptly realized he had no idea whether he was supposed to call the operator back or not.Oh well.OOC: Edited because of a previous error on my part.

IC: Levacius / Levacius' Books

After waiting for a while, Levacius picked the phone back up and slammed it down before redialing the number. "Transfer me to line 28, thank you. Levacius, still owning a store. Uh-huh. Sure, and you have a good day too madam, thank you. Hello? Yes, thanks a lot for leaving me for fifteen minutes. I hope you've got a little time, because I'm gonna tell you something - I have been alive for close to a hundred milennia, and I've seen more battlefield experience than every one of the Turaga Nuva combined. I've slain dragons, banished demons, defeated Makuta, and commanded armies, and you just left me on hold. I'd like to make this very clear to you right now - if I ever get my hands on your scrawny little neck, I will.... karz, he hung up."

There was something more important than the autobiography - which Levacius had actually been hired as an editor for - that Levacius wanted to discuss. To be specific, it regarded a few things that were missing that he was very interested in. And that were relevant to the... events that were occuring at the moment.

For that reason, Levacius finished packing a briefcase and grabbed it, heading out into the city. The appointment should still be scheduled, and calling in as a reminder was a simple courtesy before arriving at someones door. Even if this fool operator appeared to have denied that courtesy, the Vo-Toa still had places to go and a very important person to meet. Something he planned on going to do.

It took ten minutes for him to lock up the shop and get a cab ride down to the chute station. Once there, he made his way to one of the many vehicles which were created to provide a less wet transport through the chutes from location to location - this one a high speed one, and one he had to pay quite the sum for. Twenty minutes was all it took for him to get to Ga-Koro-Nui, though the sudden speed changes made him feel sick and almost hurl a number of times (and he was used to being on a rocking boat, for Mata-Nui's sake!). From there, he quickly made his way from the station (that is to say, running as fast as he could in this ridiculous outfit without runing it) and, right on the hour mark - he made a point of being on time, though that stupid operator had messed him up - reaching the gate of the Turaga's home and buzzing in at the speaker, stating, "This is Levacius, I have an appointment scheduled."

OOC: He'll climb that fence if he has to. He's on a plot related mission.

GM IC: Turaga VakamaAfternoonOutskirts of Ga-Koro-NuiA couple minutes after Vakama had finished his meal, in the middle of scrolling through menus on his tablet in his search for a "Last Caller" feature, his tablet buzzed and displayed an image of the area just outside Vakama's gate and an inflated head too near to the camera.Ah. His tablet was connected to his house's speaker. Vakama would have to remember that.A slightly static-muffled voice came from the figure's mouth: "This is Levacius, I have an appointment scheduled.""Not right now, I have an appointment I'm trying to confirm--" An awkward, seconds-long pause. "--oh. You're the appointment. Ah... hold on, let me open the gate... don't touch any flowers, by the way, or Nokama will kill you and me both..."Two buttons beneath the video feed displayed, in simple font, OPEN GATE and DISCONNECT. Vakama pressed the former, though the latter suffered a near miss on account of Vakama's index finger, which shook a bit with age.* * *A faint hiss sounded before the white gate's doors swung inward. Levacius was thus admitted into a slice of paradise: lush grass; a small garden; a couple trees; and a decently sized, brightly colored house. The walkway before Levacius's feet led to the house but also split to direct one to a similarly white not too far from the house and to the garden. As Levacius stepped forth, the house's front door also opened. Turaga Vakama, slow with age but still alert in his face, stepped onto his porch, leaned on his staff, and waited for Levacius to approach.

Levacius was careful to avoid the flowers he had been warned about, and as he got close to the porch, he extended his hand in greeting, offering out a polite handshake. "It's a pleasure to finely meet with you face to face, Turaga Vakama. I don't know if you remember, but I scheduled the meeting a while back to talk with you about your as of yet unpublished autobiography."

Oh for crying out loud--

"Sorry sir," I said to the decidedly-drunk Le-Matoran in front of Houren, who was asking us for some service which would have distracted us from, oh, y'know, saving Laniga's life, "But we're on an important mission right now, and can spare absolutely no time for other inquiries. If the source of Tenko's anger was known to Griulth, he might have been understanding; even then, though, he probably would have done what he did right now. Which was, of course, hocking up the closest thing a being with a Matoran's structure could manifest to a lugee, and immediately spitting it at him. "Don'cha be loud-yellin eht me when I'm nice-talkin with an'ther fellow!"
