Hapori Tohu
As the old year fades away, we can start celebrating the new one by checking out the latest LEGO Magazine, which has begun to appear in mailboxes. This one appears to be based on the new theme Legend of Chima, since it has a Chima cover, a Chima poster, and even a Chima comic. Keep an eye out for it to learn more about the 2013 LEGO themes.View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A

Meiko
What I'm wondering is why LEGO named this theme that seems to sound like China?Irony I guess. Does anyone have scans? Scans of the magazine? I haven't seen any, but in a week or so the magazine will probably be on the LEGO Cub website, however it'll have all the interactive stuff. Lyichir
What I'm wondering is why LEGO named this theme that seems to sound like China? The name Chima seems to come from both the word "Chi" (the mystical energy source in the series which is probably derived from the concept of the same name in Asian spiritualism) and the word "Chimaera" (reflecting the anthropomorphic animal races that make up this theme's characters). In plain text "Chima" and "China" can easily be confused, but not so much in the theme's logo (which uses CHIMA in all caps, so the M looks less like an N) or when the name of the theme is spoken (since it is pronounced CHEE-mah rather than CHY-mah).
