Welcome, to the new Darkest Days Discussion topic. Here you can have all those little OOC discussions that you couldn't have before.

I would request, however, that for the reference of staff and your fellow players that you repost your profiles at the start of the topic. They're getting hard to find. Not mandatory, but it would be helpful. And if you decide to do so, those of you who know how to use spoiler tags, that would also be appreciated. Because otherwise things will get a bit too chaotic in the first few posts. :P

Spoiler
Howard StarkCodename: Iron Man Age: 20Gender: MaleFaction: None currently Power(S): Can merge with technology, he is currently merged with an arc reactor of his own design, it shines a bright blue light from his chest if he isn't wearing clothing that otherwise covers it.Appearance: Looks a lot like his father in terms of size and skin color, but he has brown eyes and red hair. He has an arc reactor in his chest like his father thanks to the merge with the suit.Weapons: He currently uses a what he calls the Avenger Suit, a new Iron man suit he designed from the ground up, heavily based on his father's designs, but has the latest technology, allowing it's performance to go beyond what any of his father's suits ever did.

The Avenger Suit has the standard repulsors, HUD system, flight capabilities, lasers, missiles, great surround sound, pretty much everything you'd expect from an Iron Man suit. It's heavily armor is compacted into several layers for extra protection, in addition to it's shielding which draws power directly from the suit's own arc reactor. It's primary offensive feature is the Uni-beam, which can be launched directly from the arc reactor on the suit's chest. This version can use the Uni-beam more efficiently and can be fired more often using less of the suits power. Of course extended use of the Uni-beam will still drain power, and it will have to self-recharge eventually.
Skills: Like his father is an ingenious engineer, capable of replicating much of his fathers work. He also does know some hand-to-hand combat, not impressively so, but enough to protect himself from the average mook.Personality: His personality is remarkably similar to his fathers; he can be vain, arrogant, and a bit narcissistic. He does have his charismatic and charming side.Weakness: Due to being merged with the Iron man suit, mutants with Technological or magnetic powers will give him a lot of trouble. Taking an EMP blast directly can paralyze him temporarilyBio: The son of the late Tony Stark, much like his father, he has a gift in engineering, graduated with a masters degree at 15. His mother, Pepper Stark, currently runs Stark Industries. He however has locked himself away in the Stark Tower, where he spends his days mostly tinkering with various inventions. Recently he stumbled upon a secret room within the tower, which holds Tony Starks various Iron Man armors, which had previously had been thought to be destroyed with the death of Tony Stark. When Howard Stark touched one of the suits, his mutant powers activated for the first time, permanently merging him with the suit. After damaging the suit beyond repair, Howard has constructed a suit of his very own, which he will use to avenge the world as he sees fit.

I am Ultron Six, a cybernetic intelligence created by Doctor Henry Pym. My imperative is to bring peace and order to this world. I am about to fulfil that imperative; for the extinction of humanity…begins now.

the_ultron_imperative.jpg

Soon the earth will no longer be habitable for any biological organism: Man, woman, child, plant, animal, fungus or bacterium. All life will cease to exist. This is not a threat, there is nothing you can do to stop it. The process has already begun. I receive no pleasure in this, it is simply the only solution. There must be peace and order, the end of life on earth will ensure that. Goodbye.

Lucas Elias

Spoiler

Codename: Augment
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Faction: Semi-Brotherhood, Technarchy
Powers: Lucas, due to a specialized treatment to combat the techno-organic virus that causes the Phalanx to form given to him by the Technarchy, now has a seemingly techno-organic body, looking perfectly normal by human standards outwardly, but with various modifications biochemically and physically, as evidenced by the various powers he gained from it:

Energy Drain/Taser: On the undersides of Lucas’s wrists, two small holes can be seen, with what appear to be metallic tubes leading from there to his blood vessels. The metallic tubes within actually are connected to his cardiovascular system, being merely an extra part of the newly modified tract. He can shoot metallic tubes from those holes, extending to a length of up to 1.5 meters to embed in any target, be it organic or technological. If strictly technological, Lucas can immediately drain energy from the object to replenish himself; if organic, he first injects a slight amount of his modified techno-organic virus, rapidly converting the victim outwards from the area of implantation, allowing him to begin drawing energy as soon as the first amount of it starts to change. If withdrawn, the area attacked will begin to quickly heal, as the infection only works properly when connected with Lucas. However, this power can be turned in the reverse, to act as a taser/disruptor in organic and technological targets, at the expense of a small amount of energy from Lucas.

Increased Durability:Due to Lucas’s techno-organic conversion, he has an increased bodily durability. Due to nanites formed by the virus, his bone has been changed to harder, yet equally flexible metal; his cardiovascular system entirely replaced with semi-metallic, flexible tubes, his blood with a much more efficient fluid for the use of transporting the nanites and oxygen throughout his body; his lungs modified to capture oxygen, filter out small amounts of dangerous chemicals, and expel waste gases more efficiently.

Limited Technopathy: Due to his Techno-organic nature, Lucas is able to establish a telepathic contact with any wireless devices near him, as well as connect with other devices in a similar way to how he may drain the energy from something; in such a connection, he can issue commands to the device to alter its function. This also allows him to communicate in a seemingly telepathic ability with devices, if he is able to follow the signals from one to another, and hop progressively outwards.
Appearance: Tall, and impeccably well dressed, normally in a western styled blazer, a pair of slacks, polished shoes and with a dark coloured scarf; at other times, more formal occasions being the norm, he can be found wearing an austere suit; yet other times, rather rarely, he can be found dressed in rather typical clothing, with a T-shirt, jeans, and a pair of tennis shoes.

Skin-deep he appears no different from any other human, except for his slightly muscular physique, something he does not share with his prime universe counterpart, who was much smaller than he is. His dark hair is generally left in a somewhat messy state, and he has a mustache and beard as well.
Weapons: A first generation P99 pistol, with added muzzle brake and underslung laser sight, as well as a SIG 556, with a longer match-grade barrel and telescopic sight, to serve as a marksman’s rifle-however, another modification makes it such that, if he presses down a small pin, the weapon will then be able to be switched to fire fully automatic.
Skills: Lucas is fairly well-trained with both of his weapons, as well as having an amount of training in Systema, similar to his prime-universe counterpart.
Personality: Lucas generally tries to present a helpful, friendly attitude to most people, all underscored by his deep caring for human life.

Despite the gentle exterior he normally shows to others, Lucas, when pressed, is a highly determined, ruthless individual, acting quickly and decisively to do what he feels must be done to preserve human and mutant life, be it the murder of a dangerous man, the destruction of a hive of the Phalanx, the abandonment of an entire city to the Phalanx or the Technarchy’s hunger, or the movement of the entire human race from one reality to another, if it need be done. This all leaves him with his depression, as he dislikes having to even harm any other being, let alone the outright destruction of human life; however, whatever he feels will aid their ultimate survival is what he shall do.
Weakness: Lucas suffers from two major weaknesses that his increased durability and healing factor cannot match up against; those being temporal attacks and electrical damage.

Temporal attacks, be they simply stasis or the rapid aging/de-aging of parts of his body rather drastically affect the technological components of his body, altering their rhythms and operations; this can lead to anything from slight anxiety and lethargy to a disastrous interference in his healing ability, the destruction of multiple nanites, medical shock, and life-threatening organ failure.

He is weak to electrical damage due to somewhat obvious reasons; electricity can rather quickly disable the nanites in his blood, and his nervous system is much more sensitive to strong electrical shock than are others.
Bio: Lucas Elias is the Ultimate Universe counterpart to Luka Ilyin. Where in the prime universe Luka was a cynical, snide, almost uncaring individual, Lucas is by far the opposite; while he retains his prime counterparts sarcastic humour, he is by trade a humanitarian. An early fighter against the Phalanx, he soon came to feel that, in the face of the unrelenting techno-organic onslaught, humanity would be nigh-unable to prevail on their own. And so he came into contact with those who caused the first, accidental creation of the Phalanx; the Technarchy.

A race of techno-organic (with great focus on the technological aspect) alien species, the Technarchy accidentally created the Phalanx with a virus that would transform anything sentient, besides them, into a member of the Phalanx species and hive mind if left unchecked. Normally, they would use this virus so that they might feed upon the energy from techno-organic creatures, there were a few cases where they forgot about their seeding of the virus, and Earth was one such place; however, some among them believe that the seeding of Earth with the virus, at first, was intentional, and Lucas believes this as well.

And so, in order to make himself better equipped to battle the Phalanx, he had the Technarchy augment him, to become a techno-organic savant of battle and tactical maneuvering, trying his best to save human life. His hope had been to convince humanity to ally with the Technarchy in return for safe passage to what would be a new homeworld; the Phalanx-overrun Earth would be abandoned in order to feed the Technarchy. Few allied with him, and so he sought to achieve this goal via his own shadow war, actively fighting the Phalanx, secretly working to convert various humans to his ideals, to aid him.

Soon after that the leading technopath in the war had been killed, and a team was sent over via the usage of trans-dimensional travel to retrieve another of this man, named Alexander, leaving Lucas with a new ideal: to transport the human race of his time fully over into another timeline, where cities had already been established, such that they would not have to start over at square one on another planet. And so his eager conversion of others to his ideals of aiding the Technarchy in battle waned, to be replaced by an even more zealous wish to bring them over into a new timeline, using the aid of the rather advanced technarchy. Once in this timeline he wished that they would integrate with the society already there, perhaps “find themselves,” though if that would not succeed, he would attempt to create a place for his people by force, if necessary, ideals gained from his short time served aiding the Brotherhood of Mutants in this timeline.

Later the fighting itself began to wane, battles coming less often; though still many others died, Lucas continued his battle to bring others to a new home where they would be safe from the Phalanx, even though that would require abandoning their true home, while others transported themselves over. Later, even, he consigned himself to transporting over, if only so that he might grab others to aid in the rebuilding.

Sayf al-Dawla

Spoiler

Codename: SpearAge: 19Gender: MaleFaction: EnforcersPowers: NoneAppearance: Dark, tanned skin, with a well-groomed black moustache and beard and shoulder length black hair, but with oddly green eyes. Relatively tall, as well.Weapons: Browning Automatic Rifle with heavy, match grade barrel and scope-though the weapon has been modified to have a collapsible stock and interchangeable barrels, for CQC. As well, an old cavalry sabre. And a combat knife.Skills: Extreme marksmanship and good training with any weapon, skilled with Classical Guitar.Weakness: Any bad musician, his lack of armour-he prefers speed over armour.Bio: All that Sayif has cared to share was that part of his biography which began his hatred of mutants: At the tender age of six, mutants-from a possible splinter faction from the Brotherhood of Mutants-came to his home, and held his parents hostage. The government, after long deliberation, attempted to free his parents, but those mutants merely tortured them nearly to death, and were last seen flying off towards Siberia. It is unknown, however, whether this story is completely true-though it can only be assumed that it is. Soon, though, he found the Enforcers, and they took him in, training him to use nearly every weapon that he could possibly need, until he was accepted into the Delta squad, as Delta 13.

Alexander Brockway and Gill Bates

Spoiler

Codename: X-404.Age: 19Gender: MaleFaction: Weapon XPower(s): Generally enhanced mental faculties-he has photographic memory, can run extensive calculations through his head with ease, and can easily use logic, induction, and deduction to piece together anything.Underarm Bone Dagger: Similar to in Assassin's Creed, Alexander can shoot a claw out from his wrists to stab somebody with-however, with him, it's natural and inbuilt. His bones are much, much harder than with most beings, nearly as hard as iron, and so he can use this power as a weapon if needed. The bone daggers have a slight curve to them, such that, where he to come up from under somebody at a slightly different angle than with most attacks, it would curve right into their heart.Multi-Spectrum Sight: Finally, Alexander can see in all spectrums of light, from microwaves up to gamma waves, with a simple change in concentration.Appearance: Alexander has a rather blunt nose, with sharp eyes and other features. As well, he has a close-cropped beard, and light, wavy hair. He generally dresses in the fashion that a Roman Emperor might have-that is, a plain, white, woolen tunic, with a Toga Praetexta draped about him over it.Weapons: His natural daggers.Skills: Anything requiring any sort of mental prowess-mainly, with technology. After that, specifically, computerized technology. He finds hacking to be a great sport.Personality: Bipolar. Happy and hyper one moment, depressed and lethargic the next. Autistic-throws tantrums if he feels like he isn't getting his way/doing something he thinks worthwhile. Generally insane.Weakness: He's insane, and while he can fight if needed, he generally doesn't. Oh, yeah, the insanity. It comes from his mental ability-once his powers manifested, his mind couldn't handle the information overload, so it fragmented, like a computer program, running multiple processes to work towards one goal. However, this doesn't work as well with him.Biography: Unknown, except in any records Weapon X may have. His number within the ranks of Weapon X, as well as his mental powers and insanity, lead to some others giving him the nickname of Error, which is the name he goes by now, due to his no longer knowing his real one. Due to his abilities, he did manage to garner some special favour, compared to other mutants in Weapon X...however, his insanity is a bit of a limiting factor to what he does, as others have learned...he may be perfectly willing to work with you one moment, but the next, he might throw a tantrum if you try to get him to do anything he doesn't want to do.

Name: Gill BatesAge: About...one month.Gender: N/A, Male PersonalityFaction: Error, His Creator, None others.Power(S): Great strength, ability to, if taken from his current body, infect and control a computer. After that, his memory is much, much greater.Appearance: Tall, but slightly hunched; missing most of his internal organs, skin, or a rib cage; mostly metal, with some motors at the various joints to give it movement power greater than a human's and a range of movement equal to that; reflective 'eyes' placed at two points on the frame, and within the centre of it, a shielded computer system with vocoder.Weapons: Original hands have been modified into claws.Skills: Lifting heavy objects, interacting with computers, ripping things apart.Personality: Generally seems rather bored with everything around.Weakness: Break the CPU, and, well...Or somehow find him in standby mode and install an antivirus that is stronger than Gill is.
Bio: Originally created to screw up the SHIELD Agency's Helicarrier, Gill Bates was rather quickly taken out of the computer systems by a man called Error. After a quick moment of rifling through Error's memories Gill named himself with his rather pun-worthy name, and not long after that, he ended up removed from Error's mind into the robotic body he inhabits now.

Sohail al-Tuareg...by far the best profile.

Spoiler

Codename: NomadAge: 24Gender: MaleFaction: Neutral
Power(S): Sohail's powers are all rather minor, compared to some of those that one may see in any of the other, more spectacular mutants out there. He has enhanced reflexes, such that he can react much faster than any other human or mutant. While this speed of reactions is measured in milliseconds, a few milliseconds difference can mean life and death in a fight. This also helps to give him a natural grace, obtained due to his natural knowledge of his reflexes, his speed, and his strength.

His next power is his enhanced speed-by no means is he the flash, he is simply, in every movement, much faster than a normal human, coupled with his reflexes. To anybody watching him, if he exerts himself, his movements appear slightly blurred, just too fast for the human to distinguish, though normally he just seems to be gifted with some amount natural speed granted to him.

Finally, Sohail's final power is that of enhanced strength; this falls in two categories: Endurance, such that he can endure greater physical punishment than most humans (including environmental punishment), and the fact that he is, as a whole, stronger than most humans. Is this super strength, lifting cars and throwing them? No. However, that which, say, a trained weight lifter could lift easily he could lift easily, while for a normal human it would be hard.Appearance: Sohail's appearance is where most of his mutations come evident. His skin is naturally a deep, burnished bronze colour, and his eyes are the same, gazing out like a pair of firey suns from him. His shoulder length mane of hair is also of this bronzen colour, though it seems more metallic than does his skin.

His eyes have natural epicanthic folds, leading him to take on a slightly slant-eyed appearance, only serving to enhance his naturally chiseled features and his astounding handsomeness. However, very important about his eyes is this: they have a natural nictitating membrane, clear except for a slight bronzen tint to them, which naturally blinks across his eyes as a mark of distress, though he can control it as well; it is very useful in the desert sands where he used to live.

On his cheeks he carries three scars each, blue and faded with age, of unknown meaning to any but him.

Finally, the part of his appearance that astounds most beings-he is just over seven feet tall, standing nearly a head over all but the tallest of men. He is naturally slender, with a thinner build than most humans, though this only serves to complement his natural grace and beauty.

After that, by way of clothing, Sohail's robes are of a style similar to those worn by other Tuaregs-however, his robes are of such a deep indigo colouration that they may as well be black, dyed in water unlike most of their robes, in a much thicker concentration of the dye. He keeps them carefully cleaned and arranged, first his inner robe, his outer, his weapons belt, and his honours belt--glittering with tied-on amulets containing special symbols with meaning distinct only to the Tuaregs and to him, or with verses from various books, the boots he wears, and his headcloth-carefully folded and arranged, similar to a short turban, with a metal rim around the outside of it and a drop-down vizor to protect from the desert sun, and, lastly, his veil, that he wears clipped to the rim of the headcloth, leaving nothing but the area around his eyes and hands uncovered.Weapons: Sohail's weapons are all traditionally forged by a well-renowned blacksmith, made to be nearly indesctructable-if this is due to Adamantium/Vibranium construction or something else is unknown. His weapons consist of:

One Katana.
One Wakizashi.
Two kukri, balanced to be easily and accurately thrown as well as used like normal.
A set of weighted cords, more ornament than weapon-usually.

And, lastly, a single pistol, a Kel-Tec PLR16 chambered in .223 caliber.Skills: Sohail has an eidetic memory, allowing him to remember anything he sees, hears, feels, tastes, or--well, you get the picture. And if he pays attention to it, he can remember it all the more clearly. After that, he is a master swordsman, able to turn the blade of any foe that he may find. And, lastly, he is a crack shot, though he does not normally use his pistol.Personality: Sohail could be said arrogant, and this would not be entirely untrue; however, he was raised to be that way. He lives in a strictly honour-bound way, valuing his honour above even his own life.Weakness: Sohail's powers do not lend well to distance fighting, and he prefers to fight one-on-one, up close, than to fight from a distance with his pistol; he considers it dishonourable.Bio: Sohail was born among the Tuareg nomads living in the Sahara of North Africa, a society of people who do naught but roam around the deserts with their camels, keeping few possessions but those that they carried themselves; the logic of the desert. He was raised according to their way of life, and due to his position in their society, he was raised not to take burdens, but only to fight in an honourable way; he was also raised to understand the basics of metalwork, carving, and the maintenance of various items, be they clothing, technology, or weapons. Once he had come of age, old enough to wear the customary headcloth and veil of males of his people, was he taught of how much different from the others he was; that was when he learned of his mutations, and as such went on a journey of his own to learn about himself, before he could go back to the deserts.

He first went to Japan; there is but little known of his life there, other than what can be garnered by his weapons and skills; traditionally crafted and traditionally trained, Sohail is a master carrying a master's weapons, his speed, strength, and natural grace only serving to amplify that idea given.

After that he left again, to America--first to learn from the Apache, what he could of them, and then to impose himself upon the social fold of the mutants living there, the only place where he had found a large group of beings with alterations like his.

Grigori Zhdanov

Spoiler

After his deportation, and his exile to the Americas, he learned of his idol's death - and soon afterwards adopted the weapon that killed his idol as the one he would use to administer his revenge against those who caused harm to that man - and it was after extensive research that he learned that one of the men who helped to kill Trotsky was, in fact, a mutant.

This soon led to his great research into the doings of mutants past and present, and over all of this, he came to one conclusion: they were too much of a danger to humanity to be allowed free reign. It seemed to him that the majority of mutants used their abilities, if they had any, for evil, and those that didn't were sorely outmatched by those who did. As such, he decided it was best that they be controlled, held on a short leash, not allowed to run free as they did.

After that, he emigrated to the one place in the world where Mutants were rather common, the U.S.A., specifically the area near New York - such that he could learn more of his 'enemy,' and be able to get close enough to those in authority that he could have his plans come to a fast fruition.

Erin Banner

Spoiler

Codename: Xi (based on what he signs most of his papers with).Age: Twenty-Four. Gender: MaleFaction: None (so far).Powers: Erin has the ability to, due to damaged DNA passed through his family, increase his strength to phenomenal levels, such that even a mutant with super-strength would go "Wow, he's strong," able to pick up many items around and throw them about for weapons. He can also harden his skin to such a metallic strength that most pistol-strength bullets will bounce aside, or leave dents, which become bruises once his power is lowered down. A rifle-strength bullet will still punch through. And a weapon like a knife, staff, or sword, well...those will just bounce off, in most cases. And, lastly, he can memorize any action he sees, and memorize it faster if its something he does, allowing him to both do the action, and do the reverse of the action-such as, say, disassembling a gun, and later on, given the parts, he can quickly re-assemble/make the first assembling of a weapon.Appearance: In his normal appearance, he is somewhat tall, just over 6' tall, with messy brown hair and a face that seems in a perpetual state of unshaven-ness. He also appears to be rather thin at the same time, with a half-starved appearance, depending on when last he ate, though he isn't bony. As well, his eyes would normally appear to be black, but on close inspection they are a dark, blood-red colour. When his powers are activated, his stature increases, his height going up about six inches, muscles seeming to bulge, slightly, as his skin goes from its normal tanned tone to a dark grey, almost black, his voice going down in range from its normal baritone to a growling bass.Weapons: Whatever he decides to pick up and attack with, in his active state. In his normal state, he generally keeps a vintage M1911 on him, that is still perfectly functional, due to his administrations...likely even more functional than before. It also has an added rail on the bottom of the barrel/slide assembly, just in front of the trigger, to add something like a laser pointer or tactical flashlight.Skills: Erin has, in the past, been mistaken for a Technopath due to his great memory and affinity for technology of all kinds, including his penchant for designing new items, given free time, though anything he's seen making is either something he's made before, or he is just learning to make, the latter with many more mistakes than one would expect of him. As well, he has practiced for years with his pistol, being now a crack shot, with accuracy just short of that of a Military Sniper.Personality: Erin is a rather likeable fellow, if you can get him to open up to you-normally he'll stay in his room, moving about and constantly designing/creating/restoring things, or reading from a book or on a computer, however, with some of his closer friends dragging him about, he's started to be rather well re-integrated into society. Otherwise he can seem, at times, bitter and vitriolic, depending on how his day is going, or just a calm, polite individual just trying to stay out of others' way. He had a slight problem with anger management in the past, and though he's rather well overcome that, he can be prone, at times, to fits of rage, which could lead to his accidentally activating his powers.Weakness: When enraged to a certain point, or subjected to pain, or, some may say, enough alcohol, Erin will inadvertently activate his powers, bashing through friend and foe alike as he attempts to get away, giving no heed to any collateral damage he may cause. As well, anything of rifle-strength will bash through his natural armour, causing him harm, especially because he has no healing factor. As well, his eyes are completely unprotected. If you can hit those, you're good.Biography: Little is known about the reclusive Erin Banner, including whether or not he is related to the older Bruce Banner, though his powers may seem to indicate such a relationship. In actuality he was an adoptee, an abandoned, lonely, angry child who Bruce had met one day and decided to take in, to teach him to better control his powers. He was also the one to learn of Erin's love of building anything, and began to teach him some of his knowledge of science and technology, before leaving Erin to run on his own path.

Spoiler

Morrison Kowase

Spoiler

Codename: Kitsune
Age: 18, in Human form...Actually around four centuries old.
Gender: Male
Faction: X-Men
Powers: Morrison, as his personality shows, is an animal lover...And this is directly evidenced by his powers, all of which relate to animals...in one way or another. He can speak to animals, as the main part of it, able to sway them to his side if he needs it (this persuasive ability doesn't always work so well on an animal, like, say, another human), or just call them to battle. Normally, however, he contents himself with their company, displaying his extreme affinity for them.

The next power after that relates to the first, and is also easily applicable to general humans as well, is that he is an empath, able to easily sense how others are feeling, and generally being emotionally effected by this as well, though he's got more control than most on that front.

After that, his most astounding ability is to change shapes. He can transform into a nine-tailed fox at will, about the size of a wolf, or a more normal fox, with the ability to control any surrounding fire with pyrokinesis, though he cannot form the fire himself. This power is only available in his fox forms, however, and cannot be used in human form.
Appearance: Morrison, in human form, is a tall, and somewhat thick Japanese man, wearing a loose kimono as his favoured garment. However, while many would be quick to assume his thickness results from fat, they'd be wrong-he's nearly all muscle, and if forced, he'll prove that to you. His skin is pale, easily setting off and enhancing his intense, emerald-eyed gaze. After that, his face is framed by somewhat shaggy, golden-red hair, and his mouth is almost perpetually curled up in a smile.

In his nine-tailed fox form, he is about the size of a large grey wolf, with golden-red fur and white at the paws and lower jaw, and his emerald green eyes seem to blaze with an inner fire. His tails are all easily manipulated, and his voice, when he speaks, is much smoother and more alluring than in his Human form.

Finally, in his last form, he takes the appearance of a normal Hokkaido Fox, with the same powers he has in his nine-tailed form, though lessened to where he is barely stronger than his human form.
Weapons: As a Human, Morrison carries an old, well-forged katana, tucked into the belt of his kimono in a traditional manner. This seems to disappear when he becomes a fox, however, and he carries no weapons other than his powers, in that form. After that, he always carries on him something similar to a chain of prayer beads, all of which are actually pearls, though one is much more important than the rest, glowing with the same fire that is held in Morrison's eyes.
Skills: Morrison, as a human, is a master at Kenjutsu, Aikido, and is a great animal trainer/veterinarian, due to knowledge imparted from his true form.
Personality: Morrison is a generally happy fellow, trying to keep everybody around him happy as well. Many westerners would possibly liken this man with a younger Santa figure, jolly as he always is, trying to cheer others up as well. He is also a bit of a flirt, and, when he wants to, a master at seduction.
Weaknesses: Morrison has no armour of any sort...he even makes it a point of honour not to wear any, despite the fights he might go into. As well, while he is fast with his sword and steady in his practice of Aikido, he isn't the most mobile figure on the battlefield, making him a good target for some fighters.
Biography: Morrison Kawase, the Fox. Kitsune. He is an old Fox from Japanese myth, with more powers than they seemed to realize, though unlike some of his more demonic brothers, he has never possessed anybody, either because he refuses or because he can't, nobody knows. He was alive with the Samurai, and he taught many of them the arts of Kenjutsu and the predecessor to Aikido, when he took on a human form, though he preferred his older form, that of a Hokkaido Fox, or the nine-tailed Kitsune, the form in which he was strongest. Eventually, however, he tired of Japan. He wanted to explore. In the late nineteenth century, he quickly made his way over to the USA, living as a Hokkaido Fox, which many people couldn't distinguish from the normal American Red Fox, during the time that was World War II. Soon after he met up with Xavier, when the man was still alive, though he continued to follow along as a fox, never directly intervening until after the old heroes were all killed. That was when he decided to take human form again, and to aide the X-Men as a new fighter for their ranks.

Bryce J. Luty

Spoiler

Age: 28
Faction: USMC
Powers: N/A
Weapons: M4A1 Assault Rifle, Ka-Bar knife, Glock-20 pistol firing 10mm Auto ammunition.
Skills: Well, he's a crack shot, and he's good at getting into fights. And succinctly getting out of them.
Personality: Bryce J. Luty is generally a rather quiet soldier, with a gruff personality, though when sufficiently provoked he can rather quickly shift to a vindictive, snark-filled attitude, generally with a good smattering of laconic wit after his first long speech or two.
Weakness: Nothing but a human, here. No powers or anything.
Bio: Bryce started off as a relatively normal man, with a normal life, growing up in a small town down in Alabama, by the name of Monroeville. Following family tradition he joined the military as soon as he came of age, as a part of the US Marine Corps. And it was then that he got his first experience with mutants, fighting against the Brotherhood of Mutants around the time he turned 23, and then having the X-Men come save the day. Well, that was all well and good, except for the fact that a large group of what were basically egotistical teenagers on a power trip decided to act like they were the ones who had done all the work saving the day, when at that time, they'd barely paid any attention to any civilians nearby - and this led to a deep-seated distaste of most every mutant. Some have redeemed themselves in his eyes, though many act exactly as he expects them to: Either egotistical 'heros,' villains who think themselves the oppressed, and an overwhelming group of whiners who want to do good but won't do it in any good way.

I have an announcement to make. Lately, my life's been pretty stressful and busy, and I can't really find the time or motivation to post in the RPG. As such, I'm going to take a hiatus from XMDD, and possibly BZP in general, at least untilI I can get myself sorted out. Tyler has control over Shaw and Earl, and Kray can use any of my other characters should the need arise. I hope to return soon, but for now, goodbye.

Goodbye.

War...war never changes.

A wanderer always walks the lonesome road at some point. always

Tales of the Wanderer

We crawl, on our knees for you,
under, a sky no longer blue,
we sweat, all day long for you.

But we sow, seeds to see us though,
cause sometimes dreams just don't come true,
we wait, to reap what we are due.

Everything I touch turns to Ashes,

...It slips right though my hands

In my defence Kray, I never said that I thought that the Helicarrier was falling. However, my character does not know that, so he made an assumption based off that.

... if the Helicarrier was falling, wouldn't everybody be stuck to the ceiling?I a flying object is falling at a rapid pace, then everybody would at least be floating a few feet off of the ground. I heard that there are planes that intentionally cause this effect. But still, it's a good idea, because if the only way to kill the virus is to kill the whole system, then it needs somewhere to land. Also, how does the Danger Room work? Who is and isn't in there? How do new personalities get added in?

The Danger Room is controlled by an AI called Danger. However, none of the characters know this. It has knowledge of every being on the planet, as it is able to go through nearly all files, and can replicate almost anyone.

Except for people who haven't existed, like Hope, and all the Lights. Or the Phoenix Force. Or Ikol. Stuff like that, that never happened in this universe due to everyone dying.

And how does it obtain this data? Does it need to be manually updated to show the most current form of a character or can it update itself? And will stuff like weapons (swords, guns) transfer over, or will the selected being only have their powers?

It seems even I can forget that we have a discussion topic now. :P

First things first, once profiles are approved they should be added to your profile post at the start of this topic. For now, continue to post profiles pending approval in the main topic. I'll convene with the other staff members and see if we want to switch the approval process entirely to this topic.

As for the Danger Room, that's a bit of a complicated matter. It has shown certain abilities in canon, but these abilities aren't quite the same here. Mostly the same. It has access to pretty much every public database in the world, and some private ones, though I do not believe it has access to the more secure databases of the world. Like SHIELD's. It can extrapolate based on the knowledge it has, and the commands that have been put into it. Any information that isn't found in a database, like the entirety of certain characters' pasts, it has to be given via putting the information in yourself. That has never actually been done "on screen" per se, so we haven't actually pinned down how it's done. As for how it actually replicates all the powers...We prefer not to think about it. It keeps us sane. :P

"Shall this great kingdom, that has survived, whole and entire, the Danish depredations, the Scottish inroads, and the Norman conquest; that has stood the threatened invasion of the Spanish Armada, now fall prostrate before the House of Bourbon? Surely, my Lords, this nation is no longer what it was! Shall a people, that seventeen years ago was the terror of the world, now stoop so low as to tell its ancient inveterate enemy, take all we have, only give us peace? It is impossible! ...My Lords, any state is better than despair. Let us at least make one effort; and if we must fall, let us fall like men!"
