IC - The Recruiter - Cybertron -1

The gatling gun turret on The Recruiter's front end turned, following Blastcraft's movements, but when he leaped, it could not follow. The sheer stupidity of that thing's limitation! It was infuriating!

"Curse it to the Pit!" From behind, an explosive projectile slammed into The Recruiter's rear, flipping over the speeding tow truck. The gatling gun moved to the side, as did all his other panels, when his truck mode began to twist around. Finally, he was back in robot form, and facing Blastcraft angrily. "I don't care if you want to go with me or to have an Energon pipe shoved into your eye! You belong to the Master now!" His gatling gun was on his left arm, clearly visible, but he did not use it. Instead, on his right arm, there was a protrusion with glowing purple needles sticking out of it. He raised his right arm, and the needles shot violently into his arm...

...and out the barrel of his gun, straight at Blastcraft at bullet speed.

IC:

But what the Decepticon commander failed to understand, and what any tactician could have told him, is that a manual firing solution did not mean manual firing. Weapon controls were restored long before sensors, and no sooner were they corrected when a long line of numbers appeared on their screens. It was the coordinates for their response, perfectly calculated.

The technicians knew what to do, digits flying across their controls, as the ship's weapons flared to life to intercept the attack. And none too soon, at that.

Attack negation; successful.

IC: Blastcraft (Canyon)

No time. His eyes are widening, arms coming up. No time. He's turning his head right and down, into the protective shield of his arms. No time. He's crouching, trying to get away-

No time.

He feels needles hit, impacting all along his left arm. Strangely enough, just the left, but still.

No time.

He's not sure how well his armor will hold up. Is his head spinning with confusion, or something more?

No time.

"T-this is gonna hurt.."

IC - Blackout, The Recruiter - Orbiting Gigantion, Cybertron -1

To Blackout's surprise, the weapon firing systems had already recovered from the EMP when he fired. He was enraged at the sight of the weapons being intercepted, and pressed a few buttons hastily on the holo-panel. "Open the space bridge...and board!"

Using space bridge technology from the Aligned universe, a portal suddenly appeared on the Hunter's bridge, right where Soundwave and Starscream were. The Decepticons on board saw Minions rush out, all of various shapes, sizes, and universes. One thing remained the same, though. They were all well-armed.

Transforming, the Minions rushed out and dispersed themselves among the Decepticons, pointing cannons, rifles, and a few weapons that no one even recognized. As they assessed the number of Decepticons on the bridge, more Minions poured out until there were three times as many of them, three surrounding each Decepticon, until the portal finally closed. Truly, the crew of the Slaughter was large.

Blackout sent another transmission. "And now...you have the chance to surrender." Even if these boarders were killed somehow, they could damage the ship's controls before going down.

---

The Recruiter began to laugh as he saw the needles strike Blastcraft. It didn't matter where they hit. "You know, I prefer to do this surgically...but forcible application works too."

The needles began to send energy throughout the pierced wires in Blastcraft's body, sinking into his left arm where they hit and dissolving into his body. Needles...made of Dark Energon.

IC (Starscream)

Starscream hand went to his chin. Boarding an unknown vessel, with unknown capabilities was not the most intelligent move in the world; he briefly wondered how this being had even achieved command position. The ship was damaged on the outside, but there was distinct difference between inside and outside. Much of it was in ruins to be certain, but the electrical systems were still very much intact otherwise the ship would not have run. Shockwave, hidden away in his lab, would be watching the events here. Then he would take counter measures.
The countermeasures deployed with nary a word, autoturrets descended from what was left of the ceiling. Dark energon blasts rained down on the unaware Decepticons, being from a different universe and holding no connection to Unicron, its effect on the Minions was would be total. Those who survived the first volley would slowly be drained of their very life. As the shocked boarders turned to face the new threat, the crew leapt into action. Their hands folded out into weapons, blasters, Dark Energon based weapons and some mass drivers, and went on the offensive.
Some of the crew would fall of course, that was inevitable. But with the ships system on their side…consoles overloaded and took boarders with them. Dark Energon feed-tubes ruptured and rained death upon the boarders. It damaged the ship, but many of the systems had already been sealed, as the devices they lead to had been rendered inoperable.
Starscream’s hand went to his blade as all of this unfolded….and swung it at the three unaware Minions that had turned to face the turrets. The Dark Energon Blade was truly a fine device.

I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You are wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.

IC:

"The hangar is pressurized. The rest of the ship is not. Even the slightest attempt to escape will result in catastrophic depressurization. Well, catastrophic for you, at least."

The hissing stopped all at once. Perhaps the Minions would even feel some of the familiar (or unfamiliar, in some cases) effects of the pressure: slight difficulty moving, a feeling of heaviness, perhaps even a thin fogging in their optic sensors. The bulky commander opened a comm channel with Blackout. He had been monitoring the situation with the Hunter; a multitask-capable processor was really a brilliant thing.

"Blackout, stand down and bring your troops back to the ship. That is an order. You and I will talk later."

He returned to his conversation with Optimus.

"Now, I assure you, this isn't the only hangar bay we have, nor is it the only room we can pressurize. I would prefer it if you dropped your weapons (all of them) and allowed us to escort you to the brig. If you refuse to do so, however, it will not be a problem. After all, I can leave you locked up in there until your Sparks give out from Energon deprivation. Your choice."

Metroplex and Quickmix heaved a little from the weight of the additional Bots, however, it was only a temporary setback. The Children had snipers of their own, and currently they were targeting the Minion forces attacking the two Gigantians. Round after round and salvo after salvo flew at the Minions, and the Gigantians didn't care too much if the rounds hit them. Against their hulking frames, the bullets felt like pebbles.

IC - Yeah still not gonna bother with this

Blackout viewed the situation on his holo-screen through the eyes of a Minion on board the ship. The accuracy of these turrets was astounding...

"Smash the controls!" Before you die...though that part went unsaid.

The Minions on board did their best to fall down on the control panels of the ship, doing whatever damage they could. A few managed to fire explosives, ignoring the possibility of friendly fire and instead going out with a few explosions. Random crewmembers, being so close to all the Minions, could not help but be blown up along with a few systems. Blackout wanted those weapon controls down.

"Just blow up anything you can!"

Any Minions that could even provide a twitch of a body part at this point let loose all their weapons and ammunition, sending the control room into something very much resembling chaos.

The transmission had reached Blackout right when the turrets had struck, right when it was too late to pull the troops out. However, he tried to cover up his choice to send these troops on a suicide mission by opening a space bridge for them again. No one came through, as he had expected, and he closed it, cursing for effect.

The Admiral would probably not believe it, though Blackout hoped this would at least lessen the consequences of his actions. He responded, "I'm sorry, Admiral, but by the time you sent me the transmission, the defenses had already struck! They cannot retreat in their condition!"

---

"The dropship's frontal cannons are working, sir! Most of the damage was to the sides and rear, since we were running in a straight line!"

Optimus received the transmission. His Energon could hold out for millenia, but no one here appeared to be from his universe. They had to get out of this room somehow...a small hole could send out the air without sending them rushing violently out of the ship or into a wall.

He took out his axe and placed the flat side on the door leading back into the hallway, so that the air would rush back into the ship if they broke it, instead of sending everyone out. The heat served to soften the metal a bit. After all, it wouldn't be made of the same heat-resistant metal as the axe. If they broke that door, the room wouldn't be able to repressurize correctly...though just how violently the air rushed out was an issue.

Time to find out just what this was meant to do. He responded to the commander once again. "Is your intention to send us flying into space if we break the ship's hull, then?" He attempted to imply that they were trying to break out of the ship, rather than back into it as he continued to hold the axe down on the wall and heat it up.

---

The dropships that had delivered the extra troops flew toward the central tower, where the defense was concentrated. Menasor used the distraction provided to Metroplex and Quickmix to reach down and grab several defenders, then crush them in his hands. He fired at the defensive forces around the central tower, knowing they would shoot down the dropships if he did not.

Massive explosions from a massive gun raged as he fired at the ground troops, though Menasor kept the other two Gigantians in his field of vision. His drill was at the ready. Hurry it up already...we can't keep up this assault much longer!

IC: Blastcraft (Canyon)

One chance. That's all he's got. One, very painful, chance.

"I think I'm crazy."

The strangest grin he had ever worn was upon his face, as he brought out his scythe...

And cut off his left arm, at the elbow.

"Ah..Hurk.. ok, that was more painful than I thought it would be."

IC - The Recruiter - Cybertron -1

The Recruiter watched the arm drop to the ground and writhe in pain as it was filled with the Dark Energon. Its fingers twitched until they found the strength to elevate the hand, which bent at the wrist until the arm could stand on its fingers, in a way. The arm, disconnected from a living spark and processor, suffered a different effect than the usual effect of Dark Energon infusion.

It was savage, insane, and bloodthirsty, crawling towards The Recruiter, who kicked it back to Blastcraft. The arm began to turn on its owner, but holding some semblance of memory of who it once belonged to, stopped and leaped off towards The Recruiter again. It was promptly smacked to the ground by his hand and crushed underfoot. "This is what happens when you don't allow the infusion to take place...correctly."

Without warning, he suddenly fired more needles at Blastcraft.

IC:

But what if his pistons are powerful? He could ultimately crush my arms, and die in action. There must be another way. Razous' chest can't take the pounding anymore. So then, looks like I'll have to make a new plane fast. First duck down and blast some rounds in him, then step back and fire more and more. Then take out 'Burning Justice' and stab him in an opening in his armor. Let's just hope that I can do this.

He dodges, tucking and rolling, grimace permanently etched onto his face from the pain. Little drops of Energon drip from the stub of his arm, staining the ground beneath.

There's gotta be a way out of here...

Thinking quickly, he fires off two rounds from his un-damaged cannon. The first flies towards the Recruiter himself, the next explodes into the ground. Turbines whirring, he launches himself up the wall, then over to the other side, and back again.

IC - Bonecrusher, The Recruiter - Cybertron -1

Heated rounds hit Bonecrusher, filling him with pain and weakening his barrage.

No! This would not work again! He used the pain to fuel his rage and swung his fist at Razous, but some rounds impacted his face as the Prime backed into a wall. Enraged, he charged again as Razous stabbed for a weak spot...

But there was none visible to him. And now, the space was even more cramped. A hand swung at each side of Razous' face. It would have been a simple clap, save for the fact that there was a head between the hands.

---

At bullet speed, some of the needles had to hit, but there were not enough to cause the Dark Energon infusion. An explosion clouded The Recruiter's view and sent him flying at the same time, then was followed by another explosion clouding his view further, but missing his body. But Blastcraft wasn't visible between the first and second explosions...

He whirled around, shifting panels as he did, so that by the time he was facing the fleeing Blastcraft, he was already driving full speed towards him as a tow truck again. Gatling gun rounds flew toward Blastcraft from behind.

With no back up, I my as well die fighting. "Now, it's my turn!" Razous was met with a punch in the face. His head was ringing as the hit was brutal. His vision was blurred, and his balance was lost. Razous then saw Bonecrusher, and saw one slight weak spot in his upper chest. Razous got his rifle up and fired it into the spot. He fired in quick long bursts of fire, giving him time to get back into the wall, and fire from there.

IC: Blastcraft (Canyon)

Jump, jump, annnd more bullets. Whoop-de-do.

Even as he leaps up, backwards, and eventually behind the Recruiter, he's pulling needles out of his body and also firing off one last round from his cannon, aiming for that pesky Gatling Gun.

Blastcraft makes the observation that this is really the strangest day he's ever had, and that the stump of his arm is now completely numb. Less pain, more chance of losing too much Energon.

IC:

"If you think I don't know what you're doing, you're wrong," the Admiral said coldly, "you're also wrong if you think it'll work."

When the blade finally melted through the metal, it hit something much harder to break: an energy shield.

"At the push of a button, I can send you and your crew hurling out into space. Stand down now."

His voice was calm and collected, and perhaps even a bit smug. He opened up a comm channel with every single Minion soldier on the surface of Gigantion.

"Minions, retreat. We have what we came for."

Across the surface of Gigantion, hundreds upon thousands of Minion soldiers paused momentarily in confusion. Then, an overwhelming sound of parts clicking and moving swept the city as they transformed and took off, heading for dropships, which, in turn, lifted off and headed for the Minion starship hanging over the planet's surface.

In seconds, the Battle for Gigantion was completely and totally over.

"That's enough!"

The harsh, sharp voice rang out over the sound of Blastcraft's blazing guns.

"This battle is over--finished. If this Bot does not wish to accept the best offer anyone has ever given him, so be it. Let him run off."

OOC: Well, this is embarrassing. I seem to get captured every time I board a ship with a party of less than one hundred.

IC - Yeah I'm not gonna bother with this when I'm using everyone

Bonecrusher stumbled back. No one's joints were protected as much as the rest of them, and the neck was no exception. It applied more so, in fact. Bonecrusher fell over, then reached back to press a button when he was able to. The pain...the pain...

The ship rushed straight up, causing Bonecrusher to fall toward Razous. As the ship rushed and gained altitude at an alarming rate, he caught on to his pilot chair, then reached up further on the control panel. He managed to get into his pilot seat and pull a lever...which opened the ship's ramp at the back. The air rushed out, pressuring Razous immensely to fall out of the ship from the upper atmosphere, while the seat kept Bonecrusher from falling in the same manner.

"Goodbye, Child of Primus!" When would this end?! The damage to the armor...

Bonecrusher was nowhere near dead, but he was still shocked by the fact that an Autobot kept high-heat sabot rounds in an assault rifle. The blackened dents in his armor irritated him to no end.

---

Optimus jumped back at the crackle of the energy shield. The admiral clearly knew what he was doing...more than he did. He would easily be able to push the button and send them into space before the dropship's frontal weaponry would be able to blast through that shield.

He sent a private comm to Sideswipe. "Captain, I need an evac shuttle. Can you supply one?" Meanwhile, as the admiral could clearly see inside the room through some cameras, he took a posture that made it appear as if he was contemplating surrender, as if he was demoralized.

---

Menasor laughed. The side objective had not been accomplished, but they finally had what they wanted. He gave a mock salute to Metroplex, shot at him, and grabbed on to the underside of a dropship. As the Minions fled, Menasor continued to fire mockingly at the Children of Primus. Some were even hit.

---

The Recruiter stopped, drifted, and transformed. He walked back through the cloud of dust, towards their ship...which was not there?!

He sent a transmission back to the admiral, watching the battle with the ground forces. "What do we do with the remaining forces and these Children of Primus, sir?"

IC: Blastcraft (Canyon)

He watches as the Recruiter drives off, somewhat confused and relieved. Walking in the opposite direction, he eventually finds a place where he can jump out of the canyon.

"I'm alive. I am living."

Blastcraft collapses to his knees and laughs dryly a couple of times, staring into the distance.

"I didn't die."

He focuses again, mainly because his arm-or lack of it- has decided to remind him of its non-presence.

"..This is probably a good time to go find a doc-bot."

There's suddenly a rumble flowing through the ground, short but powerful. It's something he's felt before

"Well, something-or bot-just greeted the ground at unpleasant speeds. I think I'll go check it out."

..Yep, he's going crazy again.

After proceeding to the crater area, (it wasn't hard to find, the tremors came from one direction and were actually quite close) Blastcraft found a large red and silver Movie-verse bot lying in the center, looking as if he was hit by a wrecking ball off the top of a skyscraper and left to hit the ground.

Wait.. make that a spiked wrecking ball.

He found himself debating about whether or not to poke the bot with a blunt end of a scythe.

IC:

Metroplex dusted himself off. Scorch marks, dents, and craters littered his armor plating.

"It's over," he muttered, "thank Primus, it's over."

Waspinator's insect form hovered near Metroplex's shoulder.

"But not without cost," he remarked, "it seems their hasty retreat was made in favor of a different acquisition, perhaps one even greater than Gigantion itself."

"What kind of 'acquisition' would make them give up on capturing Gigantion?" Quickmix intoned somewhat boisterously.

"Well," Waspinator replied, "I cannot seem to reach Optimus Prime, and it seems that he has not been seen or contacted since he left to attack the Minion ship. I fear that he may have been captured."

"But he's just one Bot out of the thousands, maybe millions they could have captured if they managed to beat us here. What could they possibly want with him?"

"Not him. The Matrix."

Sideswipe cocked his head as a garbled, incomprehensible transmission came in over the commlink with Optimus's crew.

"Optimus, this is the Prima. Can you repeat, over?"

Static. The signal was likely being scrambled.

"Ah, slag," Sideswipe swore, "they got Optimus."

He slumped forward in his seat and pinched the bridge of his olfactory sensor. After a moment of exasperation, he sat up again.

"Bring us back to the surface and rendezvous with the Hunter. Brief the crew on the current situation."

He brought a hand to his forehead.

"Primal is not going to be happy."

Brawl brought his rocket launcher to bear and fired all four rounds simultaneously at a nearby Minion. A feral roar escaped his vocalizer.

Shadowstrike commented to herself from her vantage point, in the middle of the battlefield. She hadn't raised a servo once; both sides assumed that she was on theirs. Benefits of having no IFF. IC - Optimus Prime - Slaughter

Static and a jammed transmission. That was the reply Optimus got, and that could only mean that Sideswipe had received the same before he did. The admiral was the most competent Minion commander Optimus had faced. He seemed to have more understanding of battle than Unicron himself.

He weighed his options. He could get himself thrown out. Air was not a necessity for any Cybertronian life. However, there was the threat of dropships and the Minion ship's turrets outside. Even if they could not aim well at such small targets, it was likely that one out of the gigantic vehicle shots would strike. One was all that was needed to take out a Child of Primus who lacked a vehicle.

"Weapons down, Children." He very nearly said Autobots out of habit, then dropped his heavy chaingun. His axe faded to gray, and he tossed it down. It slammed into the floor, standing diagonally with the handle up, blade embedded into the hangar bay floor.

Behind him, a chainsaw hit the ground, followed by a gatling gun, dual pistols, a rocket launcher, and various other items that he did not recognize. Thankfully, his swords were still inside his arms...and no Minion on this ship had ever seen him use them. There was a slight chance of escape. "Our weapons. Take them as you wish." Weapons fitted with tracking devices by the Children of Primus. Ironhide had once advised Optimus to do such things, and he hadn't forgotten. Even if the Children broke out, if just one of them left behind a weapon, they could track down the Slaughter later.

"What do you intend to do next," he remembered his guess at the admiral's identity, "Megatron?"

OOC: Is the battle still going on, and why hasn't anyone posted but me in the discussion.

IC:

Razous reached for his weapon, and healed it. He then slowly got up and headed towards the ship in which he came in, he looked back and fired off a few rounds at some Minions. This was one thing that Prime's are never, a coward. For once he felt like one. He slowly made his way to the bridge and called Earth 2.

"This is Razous Prime...I'm severely wounded and...our men are taking a beating. Send...reinforcements now."

After which he collapsed on a chair and sat there, waiting for a response. He grew tired from his injuries, and of how much energon he was spilling.

OOC: Well, I was going to have them just kill each other, but since you seem to want the battle to go on, sure. It works with the plot anyway.

IC - Minions, Children - Cybertron -1

"Child of Primus transmission detected, commander." An Autobot grinned.

"Send in a platoon, then bring our ship orbiting the planet above the location of the fight in case we need air support. There are going to be more of them, after all." Being more within range, the Autobots at the base received the transmission before the Children of Primus who were to send reinforcements. A massive convoy drove in and rushed for the battlefield, already halfway there by the time the transmission reached the closest Child ship.

"Reinforcements on the way, Prime." Clearly, the resistance they met was more organized than they thought. Had the Minions already gained a foothold that deep?

At the captain's command, the ship entered FTL drive and zoomed towards Cybertron -1. On the way, dropships were being filled and prepared for battle.

Smokescreen stood on the battlefield, firing from his left arm. He kept his eyes off the white scrapheap to the left. It had been thrown and crushed several times over. Though most Children of Primus had steeled themselves, Smokescreen still found it awkward to look at his own severed arm.

From the back, a Minion with a scythe cut into his stomach area and pulled him to the ground. The last thing he saw was a clawed foot coming down on his face...

It never landed. A large Child had caught the foot and pulled it up, causing the Minion to fall on his back. Before he could finish the job, however, an insanely fast projectile struck him in the face and came out the back of his head, leaving a hole that gushed Energon as he fell to the ground.

Smokescreen didn't have time to look at what killed his rescuer, but he did have time to get up before the scythe-wielding Minion, press his guns to his face, and fire. When he looked at the rest of the battle, things looked like they were starting to go his way. Minions were starting to fall faster than Children.

Autobots began to pour in with great speed and power, slamming into their targets before transforming and kicking them down. The scene would have been wonderful to Smokescreen, but there was one problem preventing that.

These Autobots were the natives.

Razous heard the response. He slowly made his way out the door, to see Smokesreen almost killed. Then he saw the reinforcements. Only these, were different. Either way, he fired a ZR Pistol at the Minions' heads, hoping to finally take them down. After three or so shots he went back inside. In case a sniper was out there. He then continued to fire at any Minion in sight from the doorway.

The Admiral audibly and condescendingly laughed.

"Oh, if only you knew, Prime."

The crew of the Child ship above Cybertron Negative One was very, very busy. Panicked shouts broke out across the bridge.

"We need an immediate evac!" "--Outnumbered! They're--" "--Deploy a dropship!"

A ship swooped into the thin atmosphere of the planet and broadcast a transmission to whatever Child forces were left:

"Children, retreat! Get to the Dropship!"

OOC: Native. Cybertron -1. Shattered Glass.

Definitely evil.

IC - Minions, SG Autobots, Smokescreen, Optimus Prime

The Autobot ship shook, as the cause of the panic became quite clear. The Children of Primus were outnumbered, as hordes of evil Autobots menaced the ground forces. Even as the Shattered Glass Autobot ship bombarded the Child ship, more Minions were likewise storming the place.

The Children were way in over their heads. Smokescreen jumped on to an evac dropship as a rocket sent it spiraling away. Thankfully, the pilot was able to regain control while Smokescreen provided cover fire. "We gotta move!" He hurled an incendiary grenade down at the Minions and evil Autobots, heating and therefore weakening their armor so the cover fire would be even more effective.

Bonecrusher laughed in triumph as his ship flew back down, bombing Children of Primus. He closed the ship entrance ramp again, but could not find any mangled remains of Razous. That thought lingered in his mind, eating away at his already-low sanity, but he could still fight. He still was laughing.

"I am the destroyer of a Prime!" Though no one could hear him, and he was glad they couldn't just in case Razous managed to survive in a critically damaged state, he could not contain his sheer joy at his victory. The victory was only sweetened by the helplessly fleeing Children below.

Optimus simply waited for Megatron to make the next move. It wasn't an execution, at least, not immediately. Megatron could have jettisoned them at any time he wanted. Unless it was because of the survival chance Optimus had due to the gap between his skills and those of his troops, Megatron must have been planning something more.

But it was clear that this admiral was a robot of action, not of words. He never spoke without a true plan so far, and Optimus expected that to remain true. And so, he waited.

Waiting was something he was quite used to.

"Enemy forces: Withdrawn."

Soundwave stated, reappearing on the Hunter's bridge, stepping over the deactivated corpses of the boarders without looking down. "Ship: minimal additional damage suffered."

"Orders?"

On this eve, the thirtieth anniversary of that first colony, many are left to wonder; is the world fast approaching a breaking point?

Razous took out both of his ZR's and fires away at every enemy force firing at them. Shattered Glass, Minions, the whole army, falling with headshots since he can't take a chance in hitting body points. The ship was making its way into the air when shots fired upon it. He looked around and saw a Minion with a sniper rifle. He fired multiple shots at him. He finally got him and he fell. He then continued firing on the forces below.

IC: Blastcraft (Battle)

After having watched the bot from the crater juts get up and stumble away, Blastcraft just kinda stood there stunned until the Autobots came a-rumbling in.

He soon found himself settling back into his old role.

Leap-'n-Rescue.

Landing right atop one of the Shattered Glass Autobots that was about to take down a Movie-verse Autobot, clad in yellow armor with a few lime highlights, Blastcraft proceeded to grab onto the Glass-verse bot's head, wrenching it backwards and allowing the Movie-verse bot to get a shot in.

With but a quick salute, the hovercraft-Transformer jumped off again.

It suddenly occurred to him that perhaps getting his arm fixed would be a good idea.

"Eh, I'll do it later."

A turquoise beam lanced out of the Minion craft. Space seemed to bend around it until it collapsed into a swirling disc of energy: a space bridge. The ship quietly drifted into the bridge and vanished. On the other side of the system, the ship reappeared in a flash of brilliant light.

At the bridge, Blackout received a call from The Admiral. He wanted to have a chat in the captain's quarters. Nothing unusual, Blackout decided, and started off towards the starboard end of the ship. On his way out, he noticed a rather unusually large number of Combaticons--brutish soldiers built by combining Decepticlone technology with several templates lifted from some of the mightiest Minion warriors--gathering around. He dismissed it as an added security measure. They did, after all, have several surprisingly dangerous Child troops on board.

However, once he reached the captain's quarters, the lights were dim. He blinked in confusion and cleared his vocalizer.

"Admiral?" he called into the shadows, "you...wanted to see me?"

The last thing he saw was a pair of glowing red optics before a surge of energy cascaded through his body and knocked him into stasis lock.

The dropship's engines ignited.

"We need to get out of here! Is that everybody?"

Just before the ship would have taken off, a Child that bore a Maximal symbol and features that suggested some sort of birdlike alternate mode cried, "Hang on! I see someone!"

The vehicle started to hover just above the ground, slowly moving away from the battle. The Maximal leaned out and extended a hand to Blastcraft.

"You there!" he shouted, "hop on! Hurry!"

IC: Blastcraft (Battle)

He hears a 'bot call out, and turns toward the voice. It's a Child, probably of Beast Wars origin, holding out his hand for the Shattered Glass Decepticon to grab.

The hovercraft takes it, launching himself up with surprising power and taking the hand, allowing it to pull him up even as Blastcraft helped out with his turbines and legs.

Upon making it onto the hovercraft he speaks, smiling at the Child.

"My thanks, sir. It wouldn't have ended well to be stuck with those Autobots all alone. By the way, do you have a med. bay on this ship? I'm kinda lacking a limb."

As he speaks, he gestures to his arm-stub.

"Yeah, you are the first one to help me, besides forcing them to give out info, then killing them. But that's usually the ones that want to kill us. The shuttle should be taking us to a place where there are medical supplies. Until then, apply pressure to the wound to help make it stop from going out any faster."

Then a medi-bot comes in and wraps around something on the Shatter Glass bot's arm.

"Or we could have a medi-bot do it while getting there. I think a doctor will give you a full medical heal, than the medi-bot."

The dropship quickly ascended into the planet's orbit, then docked at a waiting Child ship. The exhausted pilot slumped back in his seat and ran a hand over his forehead. He brought up a holomap of the ship and pointed out a room not too far aft.

"Med-bay's there," he said, "I'd hurry. You're leaking energon pretty quickly."

OOC: I'm thinking of time-skipping a couple of days to forward the plot. All in favor?
