This RPG uses a Perks system, which allows slightly more customization than normal, while giving Matoran and Agori an equal footing with their warrior-caste equivalents. Each character gets two Perks from their caste list.Warrior Caste Perks:

  • [*]Elemental Powers: Allows the character to use one element from the canon list. Certain elements are banned: check the rules to ensure that your chosen element is not on this list.[*]Mask Powers: Allows the character to use one mask from the canon list. Certain masks are banned: check the rules to ensure that your chosen mask is not on this list.[*]Commander: The character is a commander of men, and has seven warrior-caste NPCs under his command. This Perk is necessary to assume command of a defense or attack. Please lsit the species, powers, and weapons of the soldiers under your direct control. Names are optional.[*]Veteran: The character is a veteran of many battles and uses his experience to his advantage. The character gets slight advantages over other warrior-caste players and NPCs.

Worker Caste Perks:

  • [*]Scavenger: The character does not require as much resources as he normally would, enabling him to make something even when there are only Minimal levels of a given resource available to him.[*]Swift of Hand: The character is good with his hands, able to craft things with incredible speed. Invention takes reduced time to complete.[*]Stealth: The character is capable of sneaking into an adjacent area under enemy control and taking enough of a resource for only one invention. He wears a powerless black Hau.Personality: Tasor is gruff to those he doesn’t know and those who work under him. To those who can enter his small circle of friends, however, he is amicable enough, although still quiet. He doesn’t like to talk about his past much—he’s hinted that it contains very unpleasant things.Bio: Tasor was an architect before the cold war went hot. He was skilled at using the least amount of material to build the best buildings, always dancing on the edge of building code when it could save him money. Eventually he fell in with unsavory types and ended up plying his trade for an organized crime group. He was one of the lucky ones, able to get to the Matoran Vault before it closed, and hid inside with all of the other survivors. When the nukes stopped flying, he was one of the last ones out, dreading the sight of what had happened to the once-prosperous civilization that was his one-time home. He places more emphasis on mental superiority than physical superiority.Bio: Viktorya was a Colonel in the Matoran armed forces, coordinating entire theatres of war with generals in High Command. She had climbed from a Private rank, and so understands the POV of the man on the ground. However, she sees the POV of High Command as well, and knows that sometimes, to win, it must be unpleasant for the men on the ground. She is willing to make sacrifices when it might be painful to do so. She can come across as harsh and uncaring very often.Weakness: Not as physically strong as other Toa or Glatorian, and so can be outfought in a physical battle. :w:

Her Kanohi is a Noble Miru, though it, of course, has no powers she can access.Personality: Having lived on Xia, Arvina is a natural businesswoman; she has an uncanny sense of fair dealing. She was one of the few Matoran on Metru Nui to design her own technology, and thus has a very strong technological sense. Unfortunately, this means she is rather stuck-up; her idea of her mental prowess is rather exaggerated compared to others' opinions. In this she's no different than most Vortixx, with whom she has sometimes done business.Bio: Arvina was founder and lead engineer for a technological business on Metru Nui. When Makuta Teridax took over, she continued selling her wares -- until Teridax objected violently (translation: lightning bolts a-blazing), and Arvina was forced to seek cover. She evacuated the Mata Nui robot with the rest of the surviving Matoran Universe residents after it was struck by a fragment of Bota Magna. Despite most other Matoran being an annoyance to Arvina, she hid with them and Toa in the Vault as nuclear war went on overhead.Weakness: Being primarily an engineer, Arvina isn't the best fighter. In addition she is not very strong, though her speed is a tad better than average. Other than her incredible patience, Ena tries to be nice and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, though when she knows her enemy she won't hesitate to run him or her through with an arrow -- as when she was a Toa in the Matoran Universe, she became an accomplished marksman. While she's as accomplished a Toa as any, she remains rather quiet and antisocial in her behavior.Bio: Rather unknown in the Matoran Universe, Ena evacuated the Mata Nui robot with the rest of the surviving Matoran Universe residents after it was struck by a fragment of Bota Magna and destroyed. She stayed out of the war between Agori and Matoran, but entered the Vault with her kinsmen and kinswomen.Weakness: Ena's fighting style is focused on speed rather than strength; while she is reasonably good at hand-to-hand combat, she can easily be overwhelmed by a stronger being than her. Because of her insomnia, she can tire out easily when exerting too much energy.

His helm is modelled after that of the legendary GreshPersonality: Seemingly slow and ponderous, though this is merely because he is weighing his options. Some would call him self-righteous, and they would probably be rightBio: Garmorial is an older Glatorian, who was around for the arrival of Mata Nui and Makuta, and for the destruction in the more recent armageddon. He was not around for the Core War, but he has studied it. And he cannot help but notice that every time one or more factions get too much power, disaster ensues. A planet destroyed because one tribe had energised protodermis, many dead and homes destroyed when a giant robot came chasing their supposed hero, and near-total annihilation of the planet when nuclear weapons were developed. He is seen as very strange, as he tries to see things from all angles (metaphorically and literally).Biography: Syryn was never a fan of the war between the Matoran and the Agori and tried hard to prevent it (look how well that turned out). After the bombings, he set out as an inventor, trying to bring the world back into peace.Weakness: Syryn has rather slow reflexes, whether due to his age or his pacifism, no one knows. ~Name: Khede~Gender: Male~Age: Roughly 3,000 years~Species: Toa~Perks: *Elemental Power [stone] *Mask Powers [Kakama]~Allegiance: Matoran~Weapons: Improvises with thrown weapons, such as rocks that he conjures up~Appearance: Average Toa height. With black as his primary color, his hands, waist, and thighs are dark brown. He has angular, orange-brown armor on his arms, chest, hips, and legs. He also wears an orange-brown Kakama. Not as bulky as most Toa.~Personality: Cautious and quiet, Khede draws simple joy from assisting others- even when it isn't in his best interest. Eager to please others, he goes out of his way to help. However, he holds his principles in high regard and tries to balance emotion with logic. Due to the loss of his friends and the only world he knew, Khede is less outgoing than usual. He often blames himself when others get hurt, mostly for not intervening. He is kind of a pacifist.~Bio: Khede came into being during the golden age of peace on Bara Magna. As a Po-matoran, he earned the value of hard work from early on. He was suddenly thrust into the role of Toa not long before the rampage of Marendar, a hard time during which he learned to stay hidden and aid complete strangers. When the nukes went flying, Khede's Mask of Speed was only enough to get himself to the Vault. He was not able to save his companions.~Weakness: Khede is not physically strong. He panics and doesn't function well under pressure, so it takes him a while to recuperate from ambushes and surprise attacks. His strong moral guidelines cause him to hesitate in matters of life and death. Not a good swordsman.

He tones out everything else while doing so, only stopping from time to time for what his body needs to stay alive and focused.When he is not inventing though, Angen can be very bright and interested in others and what they are doing, especilly when he thinks he can learn something.Bio: Angen was a sports equipment inventor before the nukes went off. He specialised in equiment that would be used for long periods of time with little to no maintenance. Before inventing sporting goods, Angen used to be an engineer for one of the larger companies that helped to build the cities after Makuta brought Mata Nui's body to Bara Magna.Weakness: Angen is not a warrior and unable to fight.

He is primarily colored a gunmetal grey, with a burnt orange, at times almost rust-colored secondary color, on his limbs and joints. His Volitak is gunmetal, and he has reddish-orange eyes.Personality: He is a headstrong, determined toa, and is usually a nice, helpful person, if a little sarcastic and blunt. While he holds no love for his enemies, he is not so blind as to generalize them all as evil, monstrous, and without empathy. A trustworthy friend with ironclad resolve, if he can help an ally, he will. In combat, his determination really shows, as he won't back out of a fight unless he feels he has no other choice.Bio: Haradyl came into being some time around the end of the war, and grew up in the desolate, barren landscape that it left. As such, he's learned a fair few survival skills, and has had to fend for himself for a good portion of his life. As such, he is a competent fist-fighter and user of his elemental powers, being fairly creative yet practical in combat, improvising as needed. Unbeknownst to him, he has a fair amount of natural talent with bladed weapons, but he, having never come across a knife, let alone a sword, has had no form of training with them, leaving this skill unrefined. Weakness: Sometimes doesn't fully plan things out before going through with them, and he is a tad overconfident and hot-blooded. His determination, for all it's good qualities, can also lead to him not knowing when to quit.

These must be scavenged or made before use.Appearance: A tall jet black Toa with orange glowing lines covering him, his mask is the appearance of a beast, with fangs at the mouth for intimidation.Personality: He is nice, despite his appearance, and will help others in need when they do need help. He fights for himself fiercely, but will aid others in battle when he chooses a side for the moment.Bio: Jeren cannot remember anything before his life as a Toa, he was 1,900 years old when he became one, and even then, his history is foggy. He believes he has a disease, one that is clogging, or has erased his memories. Jeren does remember a few things, such as the beast that was killing Toa and all others who attacked it, and how it was killed with a Nuke, but it's death only lead to a massive bombing, which forced everyone into the vaults.Jeren was one of the last ones out of the vaults, but when he did come out, it was chaos all over again, it was as if Bara Magna had reset itself, and released its prisoners to rebuild it. Jeren now wanders, looking for a friend, or a group of could join, in search of protection and food.Weakness: Jeren is very shaken up by the bombing, and is constantly on alert. Sometimes, he won't recognize friend from foe, even if he knew them before the bombing, he will mostly attack without reason, so in other words, he is mentally unstable. These must be scavenged or made before use.Appearance: A completely sand colored Agori, he has some streaks of brown, somewhat like a Vorox, and wears a sand-looking cape for extreme cover, and can even hide during broad daylight.Personality: He is very talkative, and will even try to communicate with Rahi if he is lonely enough, he spent most of his life in Atero, attending every event that went on there, almost obsessively. He is regularly nice and kind, but if you upset him, he goes into a fit of insanity and anger, sometimes insulting others when he doesn't mean to.Bio: Falin was born in Iconox, but his personality was SO different from his peers, he left the day he could, and took on a new appearance, living in Atero as one of them. He was one of the last few to enter the vaults, and when he came out, he headed straight for Atero, and after seeing the damage, he couldn't bring himself to depart from it again, he stayed there, hunting Rahi, and living off the land.Weakness: His inability to keep his immense anger at bay, it has gotten him in quite a few tight spots, some have even tried to kill him for what he says, and he fears some of those people still live. I am aware that you said people could only be Matoran, Toa, Agori or Glatorian, but I wish to have a Turaga character. Technically a Turaga is just an old and de-powered Toa. If this is not acceptable, then do not read the application. Name: IsiakGender: MaleAge: 73,219Species: Turaga (formerly Toa of Ice, but was transformed into a Turaga 35,831 years ago)Perks: Swift of Hand. Mask Power: Noble Kiril, mask of regeneration. As it is noble, it has less power than a Toa's version.Allegiance: Matoran UniverseWeapons: None (however, I ask that he have a simple walking cane of no significant material - wood or such, as he has trouble walking without it).Appearance: A hunched over Turaga wearing a dark blue and white Kanohi Kiril, with dark blue arms and legs. His shoulderpads, feet and hands are white, and his chest is black but mostly covered in 'standard' Turaga robes. His eyes are luminescent lime green.Personality: Isiak often reminisces about his past, and is always in the pursuit of knowledge. He also often just sits and thinks about the state of the world, and what sort of changes he must make to himself if his withered form is to survive.Bio: Isiak was unusually emotional for a Ko-Matoran when he was one. He shared their pursuit of knowledge, but carried with it a passion that disturbed many of his fellow Ko-Matoran. When he was transformed into a Toa, he became part of a Toa team as a Toa of Ice, and helped to keep the peace. 15,277 years after his transformation, he lost his Toa powers and became a Turaga. In the 35,831 years of being a Turaga, he generally kept to himself and, as always, passionately grasped for knowledge and understanding. He worked with a few Vortixx and was a small contributor in a few theories on Quantum Elementation. He never sought political power as a Turaga, as he viewed politics as the sort of force that unchecked will cause civilization to forcibly commit suicide. And, as it turns out, he was right.Weakness: Being a Turaga, he is old and frail. He is also nowhere near as strong as he was when he was a Toa.

I'd prefer if you didn't use a Turaga, as I don't have a perk set for them and I'd also need an opposite number for the Agori, which there isn't. :w:

Well really a Turaga is nothing more than an old and weak Matoran. In terms of perks simply because of their physical health they would not be able to have perks that give them a combat bonus, besides having a noble mask. All of the worker perks, besides stealth I guess, a Turaga could have realistically. So in terms of your perks system really they are just a limited Matoran that can use a noble mask, something that normal Matoran do not have. Also, you could create an equivalent for a Turaga in the Agori, simply an 'Agori Elder' or along those lines. Agori do age, and so it is conceivable that there are some Agori who are simply old. As for equality, you should consider the implications of having a mask power as a perk. Only members of the Matoran universe can really wear masks, so it seems a bit skewed against the Agori. Glatorian can have elements, yes, but there is no power they possess that can create a shield the way a Hau does, become invisible with a Huna, etc.

Safe in the Vault, he managed to survive long enough to make it out into the wasteland of Bara Magna.Leading a group of Toa, the weakened veteran realized the chance for a new beginning in this irradiated world, and gathered up a squad to fight for the Matoran. With his vast military experience, Arvun is one of the most respected members of the faction.Weakness: Past his prime, Arvun is not has strong as he used to be, but can hold his own in battle. His mobility is also a factor, having a limp left leg.

He'll scrape and he'll kill and he'll do whatever he deems necessary to not only win, but survive. He doesn't like to back down from a challenge, something he's had a problem with ever since he was young. Doesn't take kindly to insults either. When he was younger, he had some great notion of honor, but he discarded that the farther the war went on. Now, he has no qualms about anything he does to his opponents.Bio: A promising young Glatorian warrior, years and years of war have made him a bitter killer, bent on trudging through life amidst the bodies of those who got in his way. Likes to talk, and does so quite frequently. Always trying to keep up with the new technology that is being developed around him. He constantly tries to reinvent things around him, along with things he's already worked on before. However, he's also obsessed with possibilities, and often states the probability of certain results in situations. He's a visual thinking, and can model things in his head quite clearly. This also has the side effect of him being able to calculate mathematical equations in his head both quickly and efficiently. A little airheaded, and like most inventors, thinking too much of how to work something that he often forgets things that others tell him. He has a very logical way of thinking, but he tends to do it took much. Has a photographic memory.Bio: Growing up, the Matoran grew to have a love for inventions. He observed the world around him with wonder and wanted to push the limits as to how far he could bring them. Many of his inventions were failures, but they did have several good design points in them. However, he had to place inventing as his hobby to pursue the then much more profitable art of masonry. When the war started, he began to start building defenses as usual, but then began to construct several war-themed inventions to pass the time. Being not a fighter himself, he is always concerned about his safety in such a war-torn era and specializes in small, inconspicuous and portable devices.Weakness: As said before, he is airheaded and doesn't pay as much attention as he should to what goes around him. He's a bit of a talker, and sometimes may reveal information on his latest inventions when he really shouldn't. He's also not a good fighter, depending on his inventions to do the work for him.

A: Just because he decided to not serve the Matoran anymore doesn't make him any less of a Toa--the Marendar would still hunt him down. :P I'm also not sure how that ties into him seeing that war and death are pointless.B-The Marendar was atomized, so that can't really be exploited. PCs probably won't be dying much, so that's also a hard weakness to exploit. If you could come up with another weakness, please?:w:
