~ Character Pre-Approved ~

Name: Relic

Species: Forgotten Prototype Toa

Gender: Male

Appearance: Relic is somewhat smaller than the average Glatorian, with a body composed almost entirely of metal (though he has some organic components). He wears a rather strangely designed helmet at all times.

Equipment: Relic, due to strange powers provided by his helmet, possesses improved sight over most beings. He also holds a sword that generates fields of mist when he desires it too.

History: Long ago, when the Great Beings were designing a prototype robot to be used as the Matoran Universe, they created numerous species that would inhabit it; prototypes to the Matoran and others. While history has forgotten the names of those inhabitants – as most were destroyed – it is still said that a few can be found. When Desolation was founded, a small piece of the Prototype Robot that had been hurled across the planet was found in the Canyon, with Relic and a few other like him within. However, he was the only survivor of the incident. The Agori found him barely hanging onto life just a few years back, having been sustained by the devices he was hooked up to but still dying nevertheless, and attempted to get him back into a healthy condition. Since then, he has been very grateful, and has done everything he can to help the city of Desolation whilst attempting to learn from people about his past, which he has almost completely forgotten. Most in town call him by the name of Relic because that’s what they seem him as – a walking relic of the past. A tourist attraction more than anything else. It bothers him a bit, but what can one do? At least he's got some importance in town.

Name: Kantebe

Species: Fire Tribe Agori

Gender: Male

Appearance: Kantebe is an Agori of red armoring with a helmet and gloves that are one size too large and boots that are one size too small. He stands rather awkwardly, as if his entire body is leaning towards either the right (or occasionally the left) side. He keeps his old mining pick at his waist.

Equipment: Kantebe carries an old mining pick designed for mining exsidian, and as stated above has rather mismatched equipment for an Agori due to the difficulty of getting supplies in Desolation.

History: Kantebe was originally an inhabitant of a small Fire Tribe settlement up north before the Core War. The settlement mined exsidian, and Kantebe was the best exsidian miner. Near the end of the war, the place was burned to the ground by the Water Tribe (ironically) and he was made into a slave. He returned to the Fire Tribe after the Shattering. And he mined. Then, Desolation was founded. There was exsidian there, so Kantebe figured he would mine exsidian. He made lots of money by being good at mining exsidian, digging up three times as much as the average worker. Some competed with him, but it was never a competition. It was just mining. Then the mines dried up, and Kantebe was unsure of what he was meant to do in life without anything to mine. So he just sits at home, does an odd job or two in get food for the day, and sits at home some more. Not much use for an old exsidian miner in Desolation any more.

Name: Tamera

Species: Bone Hunter

Gender: Female

Appearance: Tamera is taller than most Agori, but not as great in stature as the majority of Glatorian. She has a rather lean, almost scrawny (though athletic) build due to malnutrition, and wears dark brown armor. Her helmet is much like is standard for Bone Hunters, but does not extended as far out along the backing.

Equipment: Tamera has a long, thin scimitar crafted from exsidian alloyed metal and a small shield with a frame of pure exsidian, but with wood for the actual covering itself. She also has a Thornax launcher and a number of explosive fruits at her disposal.

History: Tamera hails from the wastes of Bara Magna, and was born there some couple thousand years following the Shattering. She has lived in the deserts for all her life, as part of the nomadic tribes of Bone Hunters. She was banished from her original tribe for reasons she speaks not of, and eventually found herself trying as best she could to survive in the deserts alone. She later replaced her normal Bone Hunter armor with what she currently uses – a refurbished set of Sand Tribe armor, kept well preserved in an ancient ruin – and attempted to make a life in the city of Desolation. Due to her knowledge of the desert, she was hired to act as a guard alongside caravans moving in and out, though she was never highly trusted due to her race. She eventually managed to gain enough respect and renown to live comfortably and actually have peaceful interaction with most inhabitants. With Desolation dried up, she mostly hires herself as a private bodyguard or scout to anyone going into the wastes to make what little she can. The only jobs she refuses to take are criminal enterprises – for now.

Name: Gaverin

Species: Jungle Tribe Glatorian

Gender: Male

Appearance: Gaverin is a rather old looking Glatorian constantly moving about with a cane. His armor is badly damaged, and his face is covered in battle scars. He has a slight bow to his back.

Equipment: Gaverin carries an old cane with him at all times. His armor is still partially functional, but not very much so; the only reason it’s still any good at all is because it was really, really nice armor in the past.

History: Gaverin was old when the Core War started and it hasn’t gotten any younger in the years since then. Not much is known about his past besides that, and his time of arrival in Desolation a couple hundred years in the past, long after the mines dried up. Nobody knows much about him and he prefers to keep it that way when possible. What is known is that he spends an awful lot of time around the Church of the Beast.

Name: Old Tapper

Species: Unknown

Gender: Unknown

Appearance: Tapper is a figure of Glatorian height (though a rather tall one) wearing a dark, black cloak with a hood over his head. He typically appears to hold a cane.

Equipment: Usually a cane, but some have reported to seeing Old Tapper holding a sword or even a scythe – nobody sticks around long enough to find out, though – along with his cloak.

History: Old Tapper is a strange enigma residing along Ghost Street, and it is said that he has haunted the street since the founding of Desolation. Most believe him to be a ghost, but there are some skeptics. Whenever a murder or the like happens on Ghost Street, it is always attributed to him. Whether or not this is true is unknown. Skeptics believe him to be a Glatorian or great height, and generally just assume with the gender based on the name he has been assigned. Nobody has ever seen Old Tapper during the daytime, but a sighting is occasionally marked of him appearing during the night. More urban legend than anything.

Name: Jeyn

Species: Glatorian of the Fire Tribe

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jeyn is tall, even for his species. His armor is significantly darker than most of his tribe's, a dark maroon, rather than a bright red. He's collected a handful of scars along the way, but they're primarily relegated to a few pale marks on his torso. His face is relatively cheerful, even friendly, but most of the long time residents of Desolation know not to put too much stock in that. The most notable feature of his appearance, however, is the long brown coat he is seldom seen without. Clasped tightly about the waist, flaring out below for freedom of movement, it is one of the few items he carefully maintains. Every tear has been patched to perfection, every bit of wear corrected with haste. Depending on the situation, it might be fastened securely, or it might be unbuttoned, left to flap about his body with the breeze. His black boots are dusty and travel worn, having seen many years of use.

Equipment: Jeyn carries on his person a variety of tools, all of them kept carefully hidden. Sheathed on his left side is a knife of Skrall design, meant for fighting in confined areas. The blade is of medium length, but wide, crafted to last. Instead of a standard handle, the grip has a set of knuckle dusters on the edged side, for extra grip. One would be hard-pressed to knock the weapon from his grip. Concealed in his right boot is a small dagger, and a second is kept within the lining of his coat. A small satchel stuffed with supplies is slung across his shoulders. But the pride and joy of his arsenal is a small firearm, carefully crafted by the Ice Tribe. Of primarily metal construction, it is fired by pulling the trigger, which in turn releases a piece of flint to ignite the powder inside. Once lit, the metal projectile is sent flying out of the barrel. Spare ammunition and bags of powder are kept in his coat pockets.

History: No one is quite sure when Jeyn came to town. No one's quite sure where he lives, or why he hangs around. And no one has any idea where he came from before arriving in desolation. What folks do know is that he's always been a bit of a brawler, never backing down from a fight. He often hangs around the town's bars, providing them with a steady flow of profit. He's the town's mercenary, or at least, that's how most people view him. He'll take most jobs, and he sees hem through without issue.

While most people in his line of work would be treated as an outsider, no one can really bring themselves to hate him. He's a part of the town, even if he is a part some would prefer to have outside of their establishments. He's typically seen as a hired gun of medium intellect, but no one has ever really spent enough time around him to say for sure.

-The Sword-Swinging Server- “Vigilantism pays crud... that’s the only reason I’m still waitressing here.” - Iana Lekrith, waitress at Madam Imadam’s Name: Iana LekrithSpecies: Water Tribe AgoriGender: FemaleAppearance: Tall, lean and disheveled in looks, Iana moves like a specter across the sands, never staying in the same place for more than a moment. Her blue armour has been dulled, worn and rusted over the years, but some of the intricate, abstract designs on it have managed to remain carved into it. Superficially, Iana is fairly unassuming, with the sort of appearance that could be seen and immediately forgotten once the viewer had turned away for even a moment. Her most remarkable features are her slouching, shadowy movements and her eyes, which shine like liquid gold in the sun.Equipment: When patrolling the streets, Iana carries an old, but well-constructed dadao, sheathed in an equally aging sheath on her back.History: Even for part of a wandering caravan, with a father like Arack Lekrith, the hero of the Core War, and military legend, you’d think you’d be safe from harm. The Bone Hunters of Creep Canyon would say differently. It was a cold, starry night, when they came. They struck without warning, slipping through the shadows like a band of malevolent ghosts. They showed no mercy, fought with no honour, and had no morals whatsoever. They looted the caravan, slaughtered the men, captured the women and hunted the children for sport. One of those children was named Iana. For four straight days, she ran from the pursuing Hunters, until she managed to reach the sanctuary of Desolation. But where the Hunters left her, the memories of their brutality lingered. Try as she might to leave the past behind her, Iana wasn’t able to shake off the nightmares of that night, and the long days that followed. Nowadays, you’ll probably find her waiting tables down at Madam Imadam’s, or babbling on about some strange theory down at the Chruch of the Beast, or patrolling the streets of Desolation at night, imposing her own form of wild justice against the lawbreakers of the town.

-The Honest Salesman- “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Raleo Dupoint’s Emporium of Utilities, Antiquities and Oddities, home of everything the average person could ever want that can be salvaged from the desert. - Raleo Dupoint, independent salesman Name: Raleo DupointSpecies: Fire Tribe AgoriGender: MaleAppearance: Raleo is the very image of a nouveau riche merchant... if said image had spent three years stuck in a flooded cellar, before being dragged through a swamp ad left to dry in the hard desert sands. His once-strong and robust frame has been whittled down to a scrawny frame, and his haggard face has lost much of its former pride and youthfulness. Wearing tough, battered red armour (with a few accents of worn gold), as well as a weathered black tailcoat and “Boss of the Plains” hat, all of which droop off of his reduced frame, he still has yet to lose a certain trademark cocky grin. Despite his losses, his brandeis blue eyes twinkle in his skull, as if he can always see his lost fortune just over the horizon.Equipment: Other than his wares, Raleo carries only a small bowie knife on his belt.History: You folks here like stories? Well, y’know, if you’d like, I can give you one of the best ones you’ll ever hear this century. One of the house, too, but just this once mind you. Well, ladies and gents, it all began before the great war that ravaged our once-pristine and bountiful lands, with a young salesman who wanted to make a name for himself in the world. So, this man started selling furniture; y’all know, tables, chairs, footstools, beds. Well, he started making money off of this venture; a lot of money. Like, more money than you can shake a stick at, whatever that means. But yeah, this fellow was living the good life for a while, becoming part of Spherus Magna’s jet-set. Then, well, the Shattering happened, and, surprisingly enough, people just weren’t interested in buying furniture anymore, now that everyday became a struggle to survive. So, this guy’s business fell through, his money became worthless and he was forced to travel from settlement to settlement, selling whatever wares he can, for whatever price he can. ... By the way, that guy in the story is certainly not me. But, more to the point, would you like to buy this excellent footstool; I’ve got a great deal for you today...

Preapproved via PC.Name: KaliSpecies: Glatorian of WaterGender: FemaleAppearance: Kali has bluish armor with brown highlights and brown eyes. She cuts a slender, attractive (if a bit small) figure. Kali is pretty in a girl next door kinda way, more cute than sexy. Normally she has a tool belt on, various utensils dangling from it.Equipment: A right bunch of wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and the like. A lot of tools, in small words. Add that to an fancy looking' longsword and repeating thorax launcher (it can fire three thorax real quick) that she built herself, and you've got her gear.History: Kali is one of the best mechanics round these parts, and you're more likely to find her working on some kinda engine than at any of the fine establishments around town. Her folks are poor, but right good people. She herself works hard to support herself.

No such thing as destiny.

Name: Zierum

Species: Glatorian

Gender: Male

Appearance: He's stouter than most Jungle Glatorian, compared to the average of tall and lankly. His left leg is gone at mid-shin, replaced by a metallic contraption that's main features include a spring, metal block, and bars. It's attached with but some leather cords, but seems sturdy enough. His helmet tapers to a point in the back, and flows up and over his forehead to stop just above the mouth. Bright orange eyes peer out from it, and just below is a tattered, singed, and sooty bandana tied 'round his neck. In fact, nearly everything about him is tattered, singed, and sooty, from the belt on his waist to the gloves on his hands.

Equipment: The Compacted Thornax Shooter, along with a good ol' shortsword that is normally kept over the door to his shop, no matter how many times he's been told it's a hazard to keep there. The Compacted Thornax Shooter, or CTS for short, is quite simply a six-shooter. Zierum has (after much trial, error, and explosions) perfected this weapon, though it's not without its constraints. It fires simply by sending a piece of metal, the 'hammer' into a part of a Thornax center, the most volatile part. Upon contact, it explodes and sends a piece of the fruit itself, hardened and shaped into a dart-like figure, flying into whatever the Shooter happens to be pointing out. While it can hold up to 6 Center-Dart combinations at a time, it's not known for reliability. It has a bad habit of blowing itself up every few weeks or so. And then there's the fact of making the Darts in the first place... Perhaps not a weapon with low-maintenance like swords, but effective.

History: Zierum was crippled at a young age by way of hungry Rock Steed, which sent him out of Tesara as soon as he could fend for himself. He wandered for a while, learning how to work metal from repairing his foot, and all about Thornax from having them as nearly his only defense. He eventually stumbled upon Desolation and managed to get himself apprenticed to the local blacksmith after showing both his metalworking and Thornax skills.

7 years later, one vein gone, one blacksmith off to better places, and one apprentice let with the shop, we're at the present time. Zierum has kept the blacksmith shop going while running a side business, that of selling both Thornax and his CTSes+darts. He's grown a 'garden' of sorts in his backyard, which is really just a bunch of Thornax plants in various states of growth. He's stuck with the town this long, he'll continue to stay unless it becomes impossible.

Name: Tendal Khos
Species: Fire Tribe Glatorian
Gender: Male
Appearance: A gaunt, tall Glatorian, Tendal Khos has an air of tiredness and depression around him. His wrinkled face, dust hidden in every crease, is constantly twisted into a frown, and his hands always shake from fatigue. His hunched body is a dark redish orange, with shadows of the darkest grey, clothed in meager, utilitarian scraps of leather and cloth.
Equipment: A mattock is tied to Tendal’s back, rusted and barely used for years, and a sheathed shortsword, simplistic and similar to a Gladius in construction, hangs from his belt.
History: A broken man, Tendal has lived in a perpetual sea of tragedy and grief. From the moment his loved ones were murdered in the Core War, Tendal Khos has experienced nothing but tragedy after tragedy. When he reached the town of Desolation, he just managed to settle in just before mining was declared futile. This final crippling blow finished him, and now he merely spends his days drowning his woes with whiskey.

Name: Hejat
Species: Fire Tribe Agori
Gender: Male
Appearance: Hejat is a brick-ish red, with light pink eyes. His hands are heavily scarred and he has a small limp. He wears armor on his arms and lowers legs, the armor colored bright red. He wears a large, brown coat, covering all of him with the collar popped up, to block the dust.
Equipment: A carving knife and a sharping stone, hidden in a small pack wrapped around his waist. A small sword, hidden on his back in a sheath.
History: Hejat is a blacksmith, or at least was, before Desolation fell apart. He was a blacksmith years back in the Fire Tribe before the Core war. When war broke out, he started making weapons and armor for his tribe's soldiers. Then the Shattering happened.
Hejat nearly lost his entire business from the riots and looting that happened after the Shattering, forcing him to sell a large amount of his personal belongings, just to stay in business. He recieved an offer to move to Desolation and he accepted. For a while, he had great business, fixing and making tools and weapons, sharping picks and axes. Then the town slowly fell apart, and he had to shut his doors for the last time.
He still does the odd job, but he mostly scavages for old metal to make into something to sell.
Hejat is slightly bi-polar. He can be talktive and friendly, but he can be silent and cold.

Name: Anyanka Lys'Fagas

Species: Iron Glatorian

Gender: Female

Appearance: Just a hair under the average height of a Glatorian and just a pound or two underweight, Anyanka almost looks as though she's been deprived of a hot meal longer than necessary. Though her face is beautiful, with an oval shape and a full pair of lips frozen in a permanent half-smirk, her main feature is her dark brown, almost smoky looking eyes; when intrigued, they dance with shadows and seem to expand, reading into the soul of anything in front of her, animate, inanimate or otherwise. Her face seems to be twisted in some variation of thoughtful at all times, whether she’s contemplating something, negotiating with someone, or just simply trying to rest and failing.

The rest of her body is just as trim and well-kept; her arms and legs are toned and athletic, built for moving around, and she carries with her the frame and poise of a gymnast. Her movements are classy, dignified, but laced with a form of dark excitement that makes it almost impossible not to feel slightly on edge around her. This ease of motion is allowed to her by her lack of most heavy armor; Anyanka deigns to wear simple black and dark grey armor, the original colors of the Iron Tribe.

Equipment: Anyanka wields a simple Roman gladius that she uses as an extension of her own arm: made with the best minerals the Iron Tribe had to offer and coated in a good layer of Exsidian so that it will never give out. For closer range or hand to hand combat she wields a double edged butterfly knife, serrated on one side that's just perfect for cutting throats. For ranged combat she also wields a Thornax launcher which she holds across her back.

History: Anyanka lived a pretty normal life as a Glatorian of the Iron Tribe until the horrors of the Dreaming Plague took her friends, her family, then came for her. But then...it stopped.

In what was to become the oddest - and perhaps the cruelest - of the fates of the Iron Tribe's people, the Dreaming Plague settled down and eventually became dormant inside poor Anyanka. She was driven into supreme bipolarity with a sprinkling of schizophrenia rather than run-of-the-mill out of control madness. The combination left her with her extremely cheerful most of the time, but also left her capable of extreme acts of cruelty and violence if you so much as put your chair on her foot. She sees the entire world as one big dreamscape to try and compensate for her lack of real dreams, so she often moves with a casual, distracted air.

She recently wandered into Desolation in one such fugue state, and she's managed to stay on the down low ever since.

Name: KranosSpecies: Jungle Tribe GlatorianGender: MaleAppearance: A Glatorian of average height. Wears green armor from the Core War with countless scratches on it. Scrawny with some muscles from fighting. A large scar on his helmet.Equipment: A sword usually kept out, and a battle-worn shield. Has a small pack to store his things.History: A warrior in the Core War, Kranos was separated from his tribe during the war. He was wandering the desert for thousands of years, and battling anyone who got into his way. He eventually came upon the town of Desolation, and settled there. The rest is history...

Name: Sykia HiathSpecies: SkrallGender: FemaleAppearance: Slightly shorter than the males of her species, she lacks the pronounced musculature and broad shoulders that characterized most Skrall. Still, she retains her species' traits of being faster, stronger, and hardier than other Spherus Magna species. Fairly attractive in terms of appearance, not that she'd willingly admit it, Sykia forgoes wearing most armor in favor of rough, home-spun clothes, over which she wears a rock steed-hide leather vest. However, she does wear two copper-hued shoulder guards, as well as a bracer on her left arm. Generally manages to pass herself off as a Glatorian rather than a Skrall. Her rifle is slung across her back, and a bandioler of various ammunition is strapped across her torso.Equipment: A relatively large Thornax rifle that seems to dwarf it's owner at times. The piece of equipment is battered, though kept in excellent working condition, even if it doesn't look it. With heavy-duty tension beams and a recoil-dampening shoulder stock, the thing was made to blow holes through multiple people with a single shot. The downside of which is that it's heavy, unwieldy, and a pain to reload. Works best with actual thornax fruit, though can be loaded with rocks and other such objects if needed. Although, stones have a tendancy to break apart into a shotgun-like blast when fired. A hunting knife is strapped to the inside of her boot.History: Sykia's story started a little after 'lil town called "Desolation" first popped up. Papa Hiath came to the place looking for work, after his good arm had been taken during one of the many raids the Skrall conducted, while Mama Hiath was running from whatever weird mystic posse the female Skrall were part of. They met in a bar, what would become old Madam Imadam's, in fact, and not too much later, 'lil Sykia was born. Unfortunately, Mama Hiath's old friends caught up, and she had to leave. Few years later, something bad happened in the mines, and Papa Hiath didn't come home one night. And so, Sykia grew up in Desolation, working where she could and probably stealing from where she couldn't. The fact that she has at least some of the psionic abilities the female Skrall are known for probably helped, even if she isn't exactly trained to use them.

Name: Sur UnarionSpecies: Glatorian of JungleGender: FemaleAppearance: Sur looks a lot like a plant. Not that there's shrubbery growing all over her, but her armor design looks ver much like vegetation, and if she stood perfectly still and perfectly straight, one could mistake her for a beanstalk from far off.Equipment: Thornax launcher, mace, ThornatusHistory: Sur was a healer during the Core War, and after the Shattering, she continued to heal people as best she could. She has lived in Desolation from its very beginning, helping out as a doctor. Even when the mines shut down and everybody started to leave, she stayed, because she felt that there were still people in the town to help.Name: Skrall, referred to as "Drinker" by the folks in Desolation.Species: SkrallGender: MaleAppearance: Drinker looks pretty standard for a warrior Skrall. He practically looks like a carbon copy of, well, every other Skrall. His markings are lime green, instead of red. Equipment: A broken Skrall shield. The shield's been cut clean down the middle, making two nearly perfect halves. Drinker uses these halves as armblades.History: Culture. Skrall. Not exactly two words that go together well. But Drinker is just this. A cultured Skrall. Surprisingly gentleman-like for a Skrall, or anybody else for that matter, he prides himself on being a cut above. He was once a soldier in the army of the Element Lord of Rock, and after the Shattering, he followed one of the Skrall Rulers. After said Skrall chieften was killed by the Baterra, Drinker bcecame an adventurer, before taking a thornax to the knee. Survivng the wound, he eventually came to Desolation, where he settled down. Frequenting Imadam's often, he eventually became known not only for the humongous quantity of alcohol he would consume, but also for his discerning taste, leading the townsfolk to dub him "Drinker".Normally, Drinker is a very friendly fellow. He isn't all macho Skrall or anything like that. He's a lover, not a fighter, and would happily talk the dayaway on some random, insignificant occurance. But if push comes to shove, he's still a Skrall, and will not hesitate to wipe the floor with you.Name: TRZ (That Random Zesk) (Pronounced Triz)Species: ZeskGender: MaleAppearance: TRZ's armor is a bit rusty, but other than that, he looks like your standard Zesk.Equipment: Natural claws and stinger. He has been known to hoard knives and bones.History: TRZ doesn't have much of a story to him. Even in the elder days of the Core War, TRZ wasn't really special. He was always just some random dude. He just turned up in Desolation one unremarkable day and hasn't left since. He's pretty friendly for a Zesk, actually. The townspeople don't mind him too much as he doesn't bug them. He often frequents Drinker's house, who is especially amicable towards the Zesk.

Name: Prospector Jihu
Species: Glatorian, Fire tribe
Gender: Male
Appearance: A somewhat aged looking Glatorian of fire, looks rather gruff, and certainly looks like he's worked in the mines all his life. Has a dark red body, wears a white helmet and armor. Has very dark blue eyes.
Equipment: An old pickaxe, some dynamite, a double barreled shotgun. Various prospecting equipment stored at his house, though they rarely see much use in his old age.
Pet(s): His constant companion is an Iron Wolf that is just about as old as he is. Her name is Gatia, and it's not a name you'd forget if she bites yar arm off.
History: If you don't know who Prospector Jihu is, then you're obviously not from around here, or living under a rock. Prospector Jihu has lived in Desolation since the town was formed. He's a well known and respected prospector, his skill at finding exsidian veins was unmatched. Of course these days he doesn't really do much prospecting, With the vein all but dried up, he finds himself without work. Since then he has declared his retirement, says his old age as caught up with him. He typically spends his days at Madam Imadam's, he's known to be rather good for a laugh, and is always up for playing a game of cards, especially if it involves money, while he doesn't gamble excessively he seems to have no real concern with whether he wins or loses. What he does when he isn't at Madam Imadam's is unknown, more often than not he seems to vanish without a trace.

Name: Karis

Species: Iron Glatorian

Gender: Male

Appearance: A slender, tall, dark orange Glatorian.

Equipment: A gauntlet that can control Iron. A basic broadsword.

History: Karis was one of the few members of the Iron Tribe to not get killed by the Dreaming Plague. He didn't fight in the Core War, seeing as how he had no natural side, and no one took him in. Not fighting, his Iron controlling weapon still has a charge. He is characteristically a loner who avoids people. He showed up in Desolate one day, and has stayed there since.

Name: Tagar
Species: Great Being Altered Glatorian
Gender: Male
Appearance: A thickly built, medium height Glatorian. His armor is silver and dark gray.
Equipment: A long staff
History: Tagar woke up one day in a cave with amnesia. All he had was a long staff and a dog plate that read: 'Tagar-17' On the flip side, it said, 'Vacuum'. Tagar left the cave, wandering the desert. He eventually found out that he could suck up air, and release it in large bursts, something that no one else could do. He used these powers to become a lawman of sorts, and found his way into Desolation. Something about the ton appealed to him, and he has stuck around ever since.
Name: Swane
Species: Elite Skrall
Gender: Male
Appearance: Typical for an Elite Skrall, big, heavily built. His armor is a dark shade of blue and black.
Equipment: Great hammer and typical Skrall shield. He has a small knife that he mainly uses for hunting.
History: Swane was just your ordinary Skrall until one day, when he found out a plot to kill the leader of his group of Skrall. He alerted the royal guards to this, and they swiftly quashed the rebellion. In gratitude for saving the leader's life, he was named. He was put in charge of a squad of ordinary Skrall, and he leads them into raiding villages, caravans and the like.

I used to have a banner here.

But that RPG is dead.

Name: Kae

Species: Skrall

Gender: Female

Appearance: Like most female Skrall, Kae uses only the bear minimum of armour, instead covering herself with a long brown cloak that also conceals her face.

History: Kae came to Desolation from up north, where she lived in a community of other female Skrall. She moved south, tracking one of her sisters who disappeared on night, and wasn’t seen again. Despite being one of her closest friends, she has no idea why Ipo left (or was taken), but she is determined to find out and, if possible, to reunite with her.

She acts very secratively around other inhabitants of Desolation, considering her business to be her own, and others, theirs. It’s very much a “live and let live” philosophy.

Equipment: Kae carries a long wooden travelling staff, though it is much more a walking stick than a weapon. Underneath her cloak is a small backpack containing a bottle of water, a few rocks, a box of matches, a torch, some food, a small knife and some rope.

Name: Oio

Species: Agori (Ice Tribe)

Gender: Male

Appearance: Oio is short and squat, though he stands straight as a flagpole. His armour is mostly grey, with a few bits of white, which, most days, are closer to brown.

History: Oio looks after the stables at Madam Imadam’s, caring for a small heard of sand stalkers, rock steeds and spikits that transport goods and people in and out of Desolation, as well as any cretures that visitors might leave in his care. His greatest claim to fame is that when he was just a child, he once fed a spikit that pulled a carriage in a parade thrown by the Element Lord of Ice, and he never lets anyone forget it. He’s a friendly soul who has a gentle touch and a good way with animals.

Equipment: Everything in the town stables. In pride of place is a polished dagger made from the teeth of his famous spikit (named hira, who lived to be 113 years old, making him the most elderly spikit ever heard of this side of the Black Spike Mountains). He almost never uses it – he regards it as more of a trophy than anything.

He has a large scar down his face on the left side.Equipment: He carries a pickaxe from his time as a miner.History: For most of his life, he lived a relatively uneventful life as as a miner in Desolation, xometimes resorting to thievery. When the mine dried up, he worked for a time in Madam Imadam's. However, he soon left work there and attempted to help bring outlaws to justice, hoping to gain favor among the townspeople. Upon the arrival of Black Buck as the sheriff, he saw an opportunity. As he knew the residents were wary of a Skrall, he resolved to take the place of Black Buck, using whatever means necessary.

Name: RaknarSpecies: Iron GlatorianGender: MaleAppearance: Bulky, muscular; gunmetal gray armor and helmet over dark bronze-tinted tan.Equipment: A double-bladed battleaxe and Thornax launcher.History: Raknar is no stranger to being in the middle of nowhere. When the Dreaming Plague struck the Iron Tribe, the few people thick-headed enough to befriend him were taken. He was never a popular figure and wandered from town to town for a while, doing work, dirty work, whatever would get money in his pocket and food in his belly. He eventually made his way to Desolation, seeking a quieter place where he would have a chance to make himself a name and reputation.
