Kughii glanced nervously between his two companions, then gave a tired sigh.  Already, the sparks had begun to fly between the two at a rate he couldn't control.  It was only a matter of time before the temperate glares became laser beams of vengeance.

"So, uh, why'd you go and fry that, erm, thing," Kughii asked Rune, a hand waving in the air as if searching for the right words to grab and build his sentences.

IC: Helios (Ko-Koro)

After getting directions to the trader named Kokkan, Helios went to the bazaar, in his mind already dictating the letters he would have to send to Colx and Melna when his mission was completed.

"If I face something dangerous down there, I might just outdo Melna" Helios suddenly realized, quickly followed by a sudden boost of determination. He was going to pull this off, and outshine Melna, Mata Nui willing.

He'd reached Kokkan's store, and gave the door three solid knocks.

Kokkan looked up from his cash register and stared at the door with squinted, suspicious eyes. The shop was gloomy, lit only by a fading lightstone in a silver vase that shone a cone of light to the ceiling which then refracted it through the room. Truth be, it was Kokkan's nap time, which actually wasn't any more exciting than open hours. He wordlessly lowered his reclined feet from the desk while the potential customer outside rapped on the door again. "It's a door!" he chided grouchily. "You push to open it. Bloody fool."

Helios opened the door and entered, spouting greetings to the tradesman and looking all smug like the fate of Ko-Koro was on his shiny shoulders.

Toa 'heroes' these days.  "Yeeeeah, so," Kokkan stopped Helios' speech, "what trinkets do you want?"

* * * * *

Hiemalis' azure eyes watched, from the darkness of the abyss, Sulov Maru and the ghost of Kol Uskey descend into his unholy crevasse. The nature of the big toa of earth eluded the toa of ice; who he was, what he was capable of, what his goals were... these things were still to be distinguished. But Hiemalis didn't have to plan things too far in advance, and in fact he relished in the spontaneity of the moment. This unknown threat did not make Hiemalis quake with apprehension but rather thrilled him with excitement.

A change of pace.

Winter was a season of stagnation. Trees withered and leaves fell limp. The bear and the badger fell into a slumber. Heavenly snowfall coated the valleys in white blankets. The cold froze great waterfalls into cathedral organ pipes. All things seemed to slow down, but when winter decided to move, it moved with the determination of a herd of kikanalo and the swiftness of a proto drake. Winds of winter were vicious banshees and  blizzards were more torrential than Tahu's fury. There was no stopping it winter, all you could hope for was the cold rage to pass and serenity to reign again. And like the season namesake, Hiemalis was just like it. And the storm was coming.

As Sulov and Kol's feet his the ground of the gulch, Hiemalis retreated further back into the blue glow of his underworld. The ice walls filled the grottoes with the haunting azure glow and bathed the creatures of the realm with necromantic energy. In his menagerie Hiemalis reigned supreme, and his body seemed to dissolve into the light of the depths. But his unblinking eyes still stared at Kol and Sulov as he made his move.

The toa and Kol were doubtlessly bonded. "Why" did not matter, all that mattered was the connection between the two men, and such bonds could be used against them. Kol was the weaker of the two opponents and thus the more easily killed, but doing so would likely enrage the toa. And that would mean... Hiemalis thought on this, imagining the outcome. It was perfect. Rage could be blinding and destructive, and even give an end to this chapter. Kol could not be risked to live any longer; he was broken once and healed, he was too dangerous. It would be a better settlement if the matoran died and the toa of earth destroyed himself and the lair. It was a small price to pay for a victory.

Hiemalis cast his eyes to the beasts he bred in the depths, the ethereal spirits he maintained there and the cobbled together monsters he grew, and gave a psychic nod to his pets. It seemed that a dozen ravenous and shrieking monsters sprung out of the blue (har har!) collectively ignoring Slov's mighty frame and instead charging right for Kol Uskey, intent to rip him limb from limb.

Hiemalis watched with cold eyes as he placed his gaze on Sulov, watching his reaction and gauging his personality. And at another side of the lair he saw the familiar heathen being, waving at him.

Ooc: To clarify, these are beings sustained by a mixture of magic and Hiemalis' Kanohi Tryna; the creatures are mostly dead, but revived by the mask and further bolstered by the energies of the depths (the blue glow). There's something larger at work here and I've intended to explain it further, but for now that's all I can say. Stitchface, the waving guy, has not entered the fight yet because he's not like the others in that he's an actual living being.

IC: Helios (Kokkan's Shop)

"I'm here with a message from Jaa. He said you'd be able to outfit me with whatever I needed to venture into the glaciers. I've been sent to map out the interior."

Helios went straight to business, though he kept a civil enough tone.

Ic: Kokkan took the note and read it, then wordlessly handed it back to Helios. Neither man spoke for a moment. Helios, apparently expecting the trader to just list off the supplies he'd need, and Kokkan, waiting for Helios to say what he wanted.

"Yeahhhh, so, what trinkets do you need?" he repeated finally with the energy of a bureaucrat timing a snail race.

"Right" Helios excused himself and quickly put up a mental list in his head. It was something he'd gotten a lot of practice in when he went to the Le-Koro bazaar to buy new materials and supplies and never brought a shopping note.

"I'll need a light of some sort, obviously. Preferably a lightstone. I'll also need something to mark my trail, how about those signal flags you Ko-Koronans use?"

"I'll also need five bundles of bamboo, and several meters of flax, or string if you hav..." Helios stopped himself, when he suddenly realized that he'd started listing off his regular supplies as well by pure reflex.

"Nevermind those last things" he said, before he added, almost as an afterthought "What else do you think I'd need?"

IC: RuneSlightly taken aback by the vortixx's question, Rune clutched the arms of her chair and leaned forward on the leather cushion. "Toa of Iron." She said matter-of-factly. "He murdered two innocent matoran in Le-Koro, so I tracked him down and..." She searched for a phrase that would dampen the viciousness of the deed. "Dealt out his punishment." The words had come out as if he were still alive and kicking. But she could only hope that the pair would understand her reasoning. It was true she had killed the Toa of her own free will, but she didn't want them thinking she had lost her mind. Rune cleared her throat. "He's been wanted for at least a couple years by now. Typical thief gone mad." Her fingers drummed out a beat on the padded seat.

IC: Riaril

The dawn broke on an empty room.  Papers fluttered in the cold wind of an open shutter, sheets gently falling to the ground like autumn leaves.  Nurses and doctors moved about their chores beneath the lofty stones, soft words rolling from their mouths in quiet songs of healing.  It was the rare moment of beauty when the world lay silent, like buds readying for blossom.  Tanlu, the Ko-Koran receptionist, had yet to rise; his gentle breathing could be heard behind the beaded curtain of his domain.  Nalita would be making her morning rounds to the patients on her roster, and the lesterin who never spoke murmured in his dreaming.  A pair of slowly filling footprints left the hospital, heading West.   They vanished into the hillside as if belonging to something not entirely physical.  No gate or chain could be found, the skill was so great.  Riaril trekked through the underground ice tunnel, the torch flickering from air vents in the ceiling.  White clouds floated from her mouth, a mixture of smoke and hot breath.  A fur coat the color of cream was bundled about her for warmth, the insulating garment leaving a comfortable weight on the shoulders.  Her left hand intermittently scratched the scars on her face, warming the skin in a war against perpetual winter.  She was alone in the passageway, slowly approaching the end with the steady pace of one burdened by bad dreams.  Welcome Doctor Gabel, A lone sentry said in the accent of his people; You heading to the Wall again?  Riaril dragged on the cigarette, then flicked it into the small brazier keeping the spearman company.  She found his lack of lassitude this early in the morning somewhat disturbing.  Yes, I am.  You know me too well. Its our job to protect the Koro, Doctor.  Cup of tea?Would be great, thanks.  Thats enough -- there.  No need for sweetener.  An open gate would be good too, Riaril replied, a tired smile gracing her face.  It would have been beautiful, except for the scars.  Tea mug in hand, the great silver slab of metal ratcheted open from the bottom out, the nights snowfall forming a step up as Riaril entered the village of Ice.Icicles clung like ivy along the massive walls, frosted veins crawling up the supporting pillars of ice.  Above her rose the great bridges spanning the koro, their bellies dark and foreboding to the lone toa of water.  She hugged her coat tighter about the waist and continued along the ever widening thoroughfare, feigning ignorance toward anyone who might attempt conversation. The massive citadel perched like a jeweled bird at the back of the city, its spires providing an unparalleled view to the southern tip of Le-Wahi. Riaril had heard of the tourist telescopes along the higher floors, but her fear of heights made sure she never experiencesd the attraction.  The grand doors swung inward on their hinges, a great boom echoing through the clear hall when they closed behind her. Walking the clear corridors of ice brought Riaril a deep seated calm. She saw everyone in all directions, the ice hiding nothing. She was safe to ponder her life in the citadel. To ponder what she could never regain.Ooc: riaril open for interaction.

Ic: Kokkan laid the things down as quickly as Helios named them and set the bamboo and string back just as hastily.

"What else do you think I'd need?"

"Mm." Kokkan slipped into thought. "More light. Take these torches," he said and laid down a bundle of them. "Light them whenever you take intersections, use their light to guide you home and the flags to mark your passage. Use this flint gun to spark them to flame," he explained. "That should do it for you. Bring back what you don't use and I'll bill the chamberlain for the rest."

"Alright, thanks a lot" Helios said and put the supplies away in his backpack.

"Alright, so, I have the map, writing utensils, lighting and trail markers, what else..." Helios trailed off a she disappeared into thought.

"Hold on" he suddenly said "I'd probably need something to measure heights or distances. Any ideas?"

Jarkale smiled. "So you don't remember, eh? Then why do you trust Ignitus so blindly? I mean, he says you come from someplace else - a place that apparently blew up - and you believe him just because he's a Toa too? You two might not even have a connection. I'm just saying this because... well... his story doesn't seem plausible. I was writing about it and suddenly realized the absurbity of the story... what do you think?"

Ooc: It's mostly up to you. I'll PM you today or tomorrow with some guidelines, though.

Ic: "Use your head," Kokkan advised with a shrug. "Measure paces, space your fingers, the like. Now, you have everyting I can give you for this. Good luck down there," Kokkan said as he excused Helios outside. "You'll need it."

* * * * *

Jaa the scribe strode through the halls from his office, past the throne chamber and into a similar passageway into the akiri's office. It was a grand room, befitting the prestige the Chamberlain of Ko-Koro was honored with, with a desk made of mother-of-pearl with a simple, narrow chair behind it, small enough to appear eclipsed by the vaulted ceiling with a fresco of the city's coat of arms. It was a purposeful gesture meant to be a sight to behold, but a reminder that whoever sat at the desk was still miniscule to the greatness of the responsibility he held. Jaa still was awed by the room despite finding himself int there often to deliver and take memos to Matoro.

He pushed his round spectacles up on his bookish face and shuffled a binder under his shoulder as he stood before the solid desk and waited for Matoro to recognize him. The akiri was writing a note in his ledger before he slid that aside and looked up at Jaa. "You know," he said and clasped his hands together on the desk's surface, "I don't care for the formalities when it's just you and I."

Jaa sagged in humble appreciation. "It's just that I'm--"

"Too used to the rituals of court," Matoro finished for him. Despite his elevation to the equivalent of a turaga, Matoro hadn't lost his theatrical mannerisms and booming voice. The reverberating chamber only magnified his bombast, perhaps another subtle trick Ambages had inserted into the architctual plans for the inner sanctum rooms with Matoro in mind. "Look, you're my friend," Matoro reminded his bookish scribe. "Though a scribe you may be, you're a Ko-Matoran and a comrade to me above all, so don't worry about appeasing me or following codes. Is that understood?"

"Yes, my lord!" Jaa said with a mock salute that could have passed for a genuine one.

"Sealed and done!" Matoro said with a smile and hammered the desktop with his gavel. "Now, what can I do for you? Why did you come?"

"Well, a toa-hero named Helios came looking for work and I assigned him to investigate the lowest cave system," he said and laid down the dossier for the mission for Matoro to see. "Also Ambages returned fro his travels abroad and went to his apartments."

"Good. I'd like to see him when he is rested, or tomorrow, whichever is sooner."

"I'll tell him. Was there something else you needed done?"

"Pass this memo to Onu-Koro's representative. I need their engineer's opinions on my proposed request for new gear," he said and gave Jaa the page he had finished writing. "Top priority please."

"Well do."

"Thank you, Jaa."

OOC The hunters from Ta-Wahi.

IC (Oreius (Inu)

The last time Oreius had visited Ko-Wahi, it had been a cold, desolate landscape of snow and ice, with a sky full of thick gray clouds that sent sparse snowflakes drifting down.

That much, at least, hadn't changed.

It wasn't exactly the preferred environment for any Toa of Fire, but this was where the criminal had fled, so this was where they had gone. And the sooner they'd caught the terrorist, the sooner they'd be able to turn their faces towards home. So Oreius shut out the cold and kept moving, deeper into the frozen Wahi.

Inu's thoughts were full of wonder; the Parakuka had never seen snow before. Every precious snowflake drew his eye; the cold snow the held their tracks fascinated him, drawing forth fantasies of quick, easy hunts (all you had to do was follow the tracks!). Though he had heard stories, and had seen Oreius' memories, there was nothing compared to seeing it for himself.

His thoughts gradually spilled into his host's mind, and Oreius, too, found himself admiring the scenery after awhile. He had almost forgotten the curiosity that had pulled him from Ta-Koro as a Matoran; he had always wanted to see the island. His adventures in the Wanderer's Company had granted his wish, but the didn't mean his exploring was over. Here was another chance to experience and the vast mysteries of the island he called home.

But, as always, there was a corner of his mind dedicated to the hunt, and the hunt alone. Justice. Vengeance. Blood. These words stoked his inner fire, keeping it burning as the hunters stalked the drifts in search of their prey.

IC(Liacada-Ko-Wahi Hunt)It wasn't that she hated cold. That natural instinct had been forced down much earlier, when they had first entered the Koro- a simple focusing of the heat around her body eliminated much of the shivering. Still, it was just bitingly frozen in this part of the island. Why was it even an established civilization? Like maybe Mata Nui had intended this Wahi to be his personal ice box, y'know? If the Great Spirit ever contacted the island, it was Lia's personal prediction that his first words would be along the lines of "lol no srsly gtfo of my fridge.""How much longer is this gonna take, guys?"

"So, you're probably wondering what L-Love here and I are doing up in the drifts," Kughii monologued; "the truth is we're searching for something.  A bounty, but for an item.  You seen the posters Akiri Hewkii has had plastered alongside wanted criminals?  The komau, noble mask of mind control, was stolen.  That's a pretty big crime, from what I can gather.  We're off to get it back.  I kinda' also want to ask the culprit how they did it though..."

IC: RuneThe Vo-Toa nodded in understanding. "I see." The pieces fit together and made sense now, but something was tugging within her chest. A longing. A wish to search for the lost Komau with them. But why? She seldom worked alongside others, except on occasion. Whatever the reason, it burned within her, and she could not even attempt to smother it's growing flame. "If you need an extra hand, I'd be glad to help you two in your search." Her eyes darted between the Vortixx and the Onu-Toa from above her steepled fingers. Finally they rested on Kughii. "For old time's sake."

"Thanks" Helios finished as Kokkan closed the door. The Ba-Toa walked off, and soon found himself at the Koro's walls.

Before he went off to begin his quest, he did one final inventory checkup, finding that he still had a healthy supply of disks, bamboo or otherwise, and that everything else was put where it would be quickly available in a pinch.

"Alright, here we go" he mumbled to himself, and took off through the gate.

The vortixx glanced between the fire and Rune as a spark hopped merrily onto the threshold, fitfully dying cold and alone.  His chocolate brown eyes blinked, the albino wondering if this would be a good idea.  In the past, his work with her had been smooth, but there was another dynamic at play.

"Liikyra? What do think,"  Kughii asked, staring at the dark toa sitting to this left.

"So how long have you two been dating, Liacada?" I asked, seeing Angelus smirk, guy was pretty cute as cops went, didn't seem like a man that cared much to fit the stereotype of doughnut face stuffing or being a cigar-chomping commander. Both of those were awful for your health. Which is why I smoked like once in my life, just wasn't my thing. And those fried chunks of devilish dough? They are terrible, they go straight your thighs, ya' know? Hot Stuff reminded me more of the big cats, the Muaka, he was both feral and not. Fierce and intent on his goal like the rahi chasing after its prey. He was boyish, and I saw that look in his eyes. I knew it too well because every time I looked in the mirror I saw the same exact look in my own. He was a curiosity and I would look more into it, and he seemed to have some of work relationship with Liacada, teasing the was fun, lightened the mood a bit.

Liacada reminded me of myself, albeit she was definitely a few years younger but we came from the same place, the same pit of debauchery and hate that I was born and raised in. She was tough and street smart, capable of a ###### of lot, and I enjoyed my conversation with her a lot. Something was weighing on her but she did a lot better than Angelus at hiding it, only she didn't do nearly good enough to hide it from me.

Oreius, for having that massive slug attached to his back, he didn't look half bad, he was our hunter, currently the one leading the pack. More than that he was a Maru, one of the most powerful Toa to have ever walked on this island. I wonder how he'd react if he knew my past, knew of my involvement with the Makuta. Would he kill me outright? Or would he turn me in? Or would he let me go, realizing I had never gained anything from that life. Either way it was best not to be on his bad side, I'd hate to see what that would be like.

I shivered as a strong gust hit me with a little bit of snow, I tightened my coat a little more and pulled the hood over my head, my grey eyes scanning through the snow wastes of Ko-Wahi.

IC: :t: :r: :a: :m_d: :e:    :m: :e: :m: :m_o:   :3:

The following is the excerpted from a documentation of inter-Koro dealings. The following transaction was negotiated between Akiri Nuparu of Onu-Koro and Akiri Matoro of Ko-Koro through a written correspondence. These letters were borne by Gukko riders. The negotiations were finalized during a private meeting between Akiri Nuparu and Ehrye, a courier acting on behalf of Matoro. The transaction summary was submitted by Akiri Nuparu.

Resolution of negotiations between Onu-Koro and Ko-Koro are as follows, and are henceforth official.

Onu-Koro provides:

 • The resources, engineers, and skill required to construct ten "Ice Tarakava," vehicles designed for riding atop snowy surfaces. These treaded machines, steered with parallel ski blades at the front end, can seat one passenger and one driver each, and have capacity to draw small cargo sleds. The vehicles are equipped with rechargeable batteries. Repair services for the vehicles, should they become necessary, shall be negotiated for on the occasion of their occurrence.
 • The resources, engineers, and skill required to construct refueling stations for the "Ice Tarakava." These stations, linked to Ko-Koro's mountainside wind turbines, shall be equipped to load the batteries of the aforementioned vehicles. There will be two stations in Ko-Koro, and two more at satellite locations to be decided by Akiri Matoro.
 • Two dozen additional "Ice Tarakava" will be supplied to Ko-Koro upon satisfactory completion of services negotiated.
 • A small arsenal of Patero Launchers, projectile cannons powered by compressed gas. The Patero launcher consists of an elastic bladder that is inflated full of air by a hand pump, a projectile barrel, and a rapid air release mechanism. This simple launcher can fire lightweight rounds without much accuracy, but over long distances. Onu-Koro shall supply Ko-Koro with Patero launchers of two varieties: A handheld sort small enough to be wielded by an individual operator, and a larger artillery howitzer.
 • Ko-Koro shall be responsible for creating rounds for their new launchers.

Onu-Koro receives:

 • First access to discoveries made in the Ko-Koro academy. Such discoveries, should they be applicable to engineering projects, will be made ready to Onu-Koro's engineers. Onu-Koro engineers will be given unrestricted access within the academy.
 • Access to the subterranean tunnel network around Ko-Koro will be given to Onu-Koro's engineers and Ussalry members as they request it.

Nuparu's Notes:

Profitable transaction.

IC: Riaril

“I’d like to request an appointment with Akiri Matoro,” Riaril asked.  Her voice rang through the small clerk’s chamber, echoing off the walls of ice.  She studied the matoran behind the desk as if he were a cadaver fresh full of discoveries.  What made the matoran’s eyes glitter and glow on their own?  How did he digest one hundred percent of his intake, leaving nothing as waste unlike non-protoderms?  Where was his soul housed?  These questions and more ticked through Riaril’s mind like a flowchart.  She scratched her shin with a heel absentmindedly.

“Uh, I have some things I need to talk to him about, er, regarding the hospital.  When is he available?”

The Matoran behind the counter gave both of us a suspicious glance, then softened into a bored look.

"Are you here for some hot chocolate, like everyone else?"

"I... yes.." I said.

"How many?" The Matoran said as he moved to the side of the counter to grab some packets of instant hot chocolate.

": I would like real hot chocolate in thermos flasks, please. I'll pay you extra."

The Matoran sighed and turned back to the counter.

"Let me fill up some of that."

The Matoran returned with five such flaasks.

"That'll be 60 widgets."

I p[aid him and Ignitus and I went back outsde, trudging through the snow.

Of course, this meant little with concerns to the allegiance of the village of ice: prey usually made their way to the closest safe place.  But Oreius didn't concern himself with that. He was a hunter, not a detective. Let Jaller draw his own conclusions.

IC: NPC Le-Koro Wind-riderIn the softened snow fall, the Wind-rider dropped off his Gukko at the gates. The Gukko had been outfitted to better withstand the cold on Ko-Wahi, and her rider was no different. Fitted with woolen gloves and a heavy scarf, he stepped away, coming to the nearest guard at the gates."I bring hi-hello's from my Akiri, Kongu, and word to your own Akiri," he handed the guard a marked package, "Within is a letter addressed to your Akiri. Please ensure he is given the letter," he smiled brightely, releasing the letter, "I am to remain in Ko-Wahi until you have given me Akiri Matoro's response."The letter would read:

:0: :4:

Akiri Matoro of Ko-Koro,

Today I write to you in hopes that you may meet with myself and the other five Akiri. Ever since we each lost our wise leaders, my heart has been weary of worry knowing that there are unresolved issues among the succeeding parties. I hope to see where we each stand in that respect, and speak of what is being done or could be done about it.

I am sure you personally may bring something to the table that you may wish to speak about, so please think of that before we meet.

A similar letter is being written to each of the other five Akiri of Mata-Nui. I propose we meet in a neutral ground; The Kini-Nui. Please bring methods to personally protect yourself from what is left of Makuta's power. We must all feel safe for this meeting. So please, and just as importantly, understand that I personally would not appreciate a guard that might appear threatening to a member of our assembly. I hope that you will adjust what you need accordingly to ensure the meeting goes on without issue.Thank you for your time, and I look forward to speaking with you. Please give word immediately to my messenger so they may respond in a timely manner.Sincerely,

NPC- Ko-Koro Guards

The Ko-Matoran Sentry smiled at the Le-Matoran messenger. He always liked Le-Matoran. They were just so cheerful. Whenever he was around them he couldn’t help smiling along with them. Their happiness was just so contagious.

After a quick bow of respect he turned and began to trudge through the snows to deliver the letter to Akiri Matoro, leaving just a slim Toa of Ice to guard the gates.

As the Le-Matoran and his Gukko entered the village, the remaining guard spotted a small group of Ta-Toa crossing the bridge that led to the village of ice. She immediately straightened her posture when she realized that the foremost toa was none other than Toa Maru Oreius, the most powerful Toa of Fire on the island. Her muscles tightened even further when she recognized Angelus, the captain of the Ta-Koro Guard. This wasn’t just some ordinary party- these people were legends. Whatever they were after, it was important.

“Welcome to Ko-Koro!” She managed to force out the Toa came within earshot.  Her chest felt constricted as she measured up the two celebrities. Gods, nobody ever told her that Angelus was so handsome.

IC(Liacada-Manhunt)Liacada grinned, shaking her head. With crossed arms she turned to trudge backwards, facing Kino. "Shush, you." She looked across the group, analyzing them with a few glances. Angelus and Kino were fairly straightforward- a firm but kind commander and a seasoned veteran of the streets with humor about her. But Oreius was enigmatic. She couldn't read him clearly, except for some obvious dislike that he was obviously trying to hide. Unfortunately for him, she had picked up the ability to be a great reader of persons over the years. When she had first seen him, she had thought to herself that he had a likable persona. Since, she had done nothing but shied away from his occasional glances backwards. In contrast, Lia had grinned, danced her eyebrows, and waved flirtily to Kino and Angelus upon their glances. It had seemed her Le-Toa counterpart had launched a campaign to make things as awkward as possible for the good captain, and the queen of the slums had been all too happy to play along. "But if you must know, it's been ever since we laid eyes on each other."OOC: I apologize if you're waiting on a post from me- I've had a hecka busy week.

IC: Helios (Ko-Wahi Drifts)

The drifts were blessed with a rare period of silence. Whithout its infamous blizzards obscuring sight and taking weary travellers for a loop, Helios had a fairly easy time making his way along the snowy mountain path to the entrance into the glacier's catacombs. Helios looked up, seeing the massive ice block tower over him like a judgemental stranger.

The high mountain sun played off his golden armor, making him stand out like a golden beacon in a sea of white.

Helios took one deep breath, and went into the tunnels.
