Hey look, someone new! Welcome to Rise of the Rockets! ^_^

One thing I will say is that your Pokémon can learn up to six moves. Not that they have to know six, but it's an option.

More behind-the-scenes PM stuff from like, forever ago:

Continuing from the last quote of the last post:

...

I haven't even figured out what Soil Colossus is yet...

I would be hesitant to approve anything that has to do with Isshu, and more hesitant to approve ANOTHER shady organization. But ultimately the choice is yours.

-----
Oh yeah, you've been absent for a while... XP Soil Colossus is a drilling company that secretly specializes in rescuing prisoners from the jails of several of the 'darker' groups in the RP, specifically Team Rocket, and has been used by individual TL members/citizens in the past to get their friends free from TR. With no other option Goldhawk turned to them to rescue Silvermind after being told of them by Neya's Scott character; the plan, currently, is for them to go on a little power hungry spree after rescuing Silvermind and demanding a Manaphy in return for her, alongside the money they originally wanted.
I should really get a big, massive recap written again... hm...

Anyway, yeah, those are mine and Rawr's thoughts as well, aside from one thing. Rawr suggests that we could have Team Plasma ally with TL, but I'm not so sure about doing that right now, if at all. Instead, I have a couple of ideas, specifically involving Bounty, that could also extend to them -- while I won't share the exact details, I can say that it involves an attempt to set up base in Isshu and a subsequent defeat at the hands of Plasma. This'll probably happen over the next couple of seeks, and once it's done TL will no longer be alone.

That aside, I suppose the verdict for the new group at this point is "no" for now?

-----

Yeah, we don't know enough about Isshu now to use it, methinks.

I'll be posting again finally tonight, probably starting the TR Manaphy mission. Would it be okay if TR then went on to recruit Groudon using Manaphy's relationship powers? TL has almost all of the Legendary Beasts (I'd like to get Beck to recruit that one he was chasing earlier, since Promised Land seems to have moved on. Assuming something didn't already happen to the Suicune and I missed it?) and getting Groudon would help balance it out.

-----

Bundalings/Paugi.

Additional conversation between GLaDOS and Parugi:

-----

I agree.
Especially since Team Liberty is pretty much a bunch of trainers who have banded together, I'd assume that they'd have a hard time against Team Rocket alone, let alone with all their newfound allies. I, personally, don't see the need to introduce a new group. But we could always get Team Plasma to take Liberty's side. Despite the fact that they seem just as bad to Pokemon as the Rockets do.

I don't know, Team Liberty does need an ally or two, or logic will demand that they fail pretty soon.
-----
Bundalings and I think the same.

As for Team Plasma -- Bundalings thinks that anything Isshu related should wait a little while before being approved, which I agree with. I have a couple of ideas, though, specifically involving Bounty, that could also extend to them -- while I won't share the exact details, I can say that it involves an attempt to set up base in Isshu and a subsequent defeat at the hands of Plasma. This'll probably happen over the next couple of seeks, and once it's done TL will no longer be alone.
That aside, I suppose the verdict for the new group at this point is "no" for now?

-----
Yeah, I mean, the games come out in Japan in about 12 days, but it won't be for a few months that we get proper translations. Of course there will be translations of stuff and information everywhere within a week or so, but nonetheless.

Yes, I'd say no for now for a number of reasons. One of them being that if people keep making their own groups soon everyone will be a part of their own separate team and it'll be a mess.

Parugi/Umbra of Doom conversation regarding the proposal for Dara Trina and her group:

eeehh.... The character is fine, and the group sounds and looks interesting, but at this point, I'm really hesitant about adding yet another group to TR's arsenal/against TL. At this point we have the Searchers, Ford, Team Galactic, TR and that unnamed Porygon group against TL, who has no organized allies to speak of, and even I'm starting to wonder just how they're holding out against so many enemies...
So... meh. I'll have to discuss the group with GLaDOS and Bundalings. Phantom as a character, though, is good to go.
-----
The group doesn't actually have to help TR, they just act like they are. But for now, I'll leave their details unknown, and she'll work against TL. I hope it's still okay if the group exists, so she has a reason to come over from Isshu. They just won't take any action yet.

-UoD
-----
Still, after talking about it with Bundalings and GLaDOS, all of us have noted a bit of an overabundance of groups in the game, plus none of us are too keen on dabbling with an Isshu group when we know so little about the region. Not to mention that, again, from the sounds of it they are primarily used by TR or TR's allies -- again staking the odds against TL. As GLaDOS pointed out, if this keeps up, then the only logical route for the game will be for TL to fall -- and that's not something I'm very keen on watching.

So for now, the verdict is that this group won't be approved -- for now. Once Black and White come out and one of the current groups gets shut down (which shouldn't be that long, if you know of Neya's plans for Soil Colossus, plus I'm going to try and do the same to another group) then I'll bring this up again to them. In the meantime, I'm going to work on getting TL an ally so that the team imbalance is evened out a little bit; as for how to use this character without the rest of the group -- maybe she could be an assassin hired out by Ford (since we know how he lurves to try and assassinate people) and is subconsciously being influenced to gather information for the group. Or something. If you have a better idea, I'm all ears.

-----
Okay then. But if/when this psychic group does become possible, she's one of the members in it. For now, I'll keep her with a small group of people that give her missions that she's been hired for, and the first one will be to back up the TR members at Paradise. Feel free to 'hire' her for any other missions...Won't come cheap though.

-----

Parugi/UoD. Extra groups have since been cleared out, but as it stands, UoD's lack of involvement in the story plus the nature of the bounty hunting group means that while it can exist, it should not be considered a playable or even very significant faction.

I just wanted to run something by you about Seth's future Isshu Pokemon. Keep in mind that these won't be captured for a while.

Monoza, the Dark/Dragon would be received as an egg from a travelling man.
Gantoru would be received in a trade, and evolve into Gigaiasu, which would not obey Seth until it got ten battles.
Wargle/its pre-evolution would be given to Seth by his father, who was away in Isshu.

Also
During the final battle with SombraD, the dragons will try to seal him away, but are unable to fully channel their power. Seth will step in and do it himself, but the force will kill him. Dialga, using its last energy, will resurrect Seth and vanish. Arceus will create a Dialga egg, in order to keep time in balance. Seth will care for the young Dialga, but will be devastated that he was unable to save Dialga and will enter a depression. He won't use Dialga in battle, but will take care of it until it becomes stronger, when it will be released.

These are just some of Seth's future Pokemon, I have more in mind, but they can wait.
I'm at school right now, so I don't have much time to fully explain these things
If you have a question about something, I'll be able to explain it better later.

~Det
-----
All three Pokémon receiving methods approved.

As for Dialga -- sounds good; do you have an estimate as to how long you'll have the Dialga with you?

-----
I haven't decided, it will probably depend on when the battle with Sombra ends. It will then lead up to Seth's final showdown with Shade.
Also, could Seth receive the Monoza egg after Spear Pillar, which would hatch when the Sombra arc begins?

~Det

Detranix/Parugi. Obviously plans have since changed.

Parugi,

I'm pretty sure that you've seen my multiple posts about a small, black box that holds a wavering light. I was wondering if you wanted that to continue, or if you want it destroyed. If you want it to go on, I'll tell you more about it in another message.

Just wondering.

-Nuju Nui
-----
Depends on what's in the box; I'm kind of confused about that right now, so I can't really give a definite answer on its fate. tongue.gif
-----
Ah, well that is a bit of a problem isn't it?

First things first. The Searchers are looking for a source of ultimate power. They don't care where this power comes from; just as long as they get it. Many believe that this could come from Arceus and that is the reason many joined the group. Searcher thinks he has found another source, but I haven't finished up my ideas on that yet.

Back to the Searchers, when the S Commanders came to Spear Pillar, they were under orders from Searcher to do anything they could to get a piece of Arceus's power. They knew he would interfere. Horace, the S Commander over Science, devised the box to allow some of Arceus's natural energy to flow inside.

The light is a trace amount of AE, as I like to call it. AE stands for Alpha Energy. This Alpha Energy came simply from the aura that Arceus exuded when he came to Spear Pillar, so it's not very much. Without Arceus there, the light will fade away into nothingness in a couple of days or so.

Since Arceus can sense his power anywhere, he knows that the Searchers have the AE, but he also knows that it will vanish. But the Searchers will make two discoveries from the light that will change a few things.

One, it can restore any Pokemon or human back to amazing health.

Two, when the light comes into contact with a Legendary, the Legendary will super-charged for a short time, giving them added strength, stamina, and power. The Legendary will also have a direct link to Arceus when touching the glow.

Also, the light will fade faster if a Legendary absorbs its power. The glow can only survive if Arceus wills it.

I'm thinking that the Searchers will use the glow to attack Team Liberty by giving their Legendaries the power and sending them and an invasion force to Four Island.

A lot, huh? Quite a bit that's far-fetched, but remember that the light will fade extremely soon. Meaning that if there's an invasion, it will be soon. Otherwise it will just vanish, which is what will happen if you want the glow to be gone. That's what the glow is, and I've had it come to allow the Searchers power to get an attack going - which, I think, will let everyone know who they are.

-Nuju Nui
-----
Seems like a pretty cool idea, and I'd be fine with it, actually. However, I do have a couple of questions:

-For one, how much damage do you expect to be done to Four Island/Team Liberty before the AE wears off of the Legendary Pokémon?

-What exactly would the invasion force be trying to do? The searchers know that the AE is limited, right? Surely they've taken into account the fact that they are going to be vastly outnumbered by TL's Legendaries once it wears off?

Also, one last thing -- the Searchers are still technically "evil," right? What do you think the chances are of them pairing up with Ford, Energon and maybe Team Galactic to attack both Team Rocket and Team Liberty?
-----
Yes, the Searchers are still evil. They're searching for power over everyone and everything, so yeah.

1. Not an extreme amount, but not small either. Possibly the same as the Rocket Invasion, though I'd like to get the Searcher prisoners out of there. Possibly a few people captured.

2. Strike a blow at Team Liberty's core. Basically, destroy the core and the rest falls apart, right? Yes, they know that the AE is limited, but they do have vast resources, which might be able to even out the Legendaries. A thing I'd like to point out, when their Cresselia is super-charged and has power over a few Orbs, that's a lot of mind-control. But I suppose that the Searchers could always ask Team Rocket for a little assistance.

3. I'm not quite sure about teaming up seeing as I have no idea how strong these other factions are and if, together, they'd even stand a chance against either of the main teams.

I have a question myself. Could I create a new weapon for the Searchers?

-Nuju Nui
-----
Just thought I'd ask, 'cause Searcher's current personality seems to be really non-evil. tongue.gif

1. Ah; kay, then. On that last, capturing people note -- I had something similar in mind that extends to TR as well as TL.

2. A'ighty. But still, if this does happen I'm going to make some Legendaries mind control-proof, otherwise things are going to completely collapse. XP

3. Ford's beaten all three of TL's original leaders single-handed, and even managed to kill one, possibly two; I think with his help Energon and the Searchers would be pretty capable of doing the same, on a much larger scale. Toss in Team Galactic, with their red-chain technology, and you have a force to be reckoned with. There's even a chance that Soil Collosus will be joining in.

If you want more information on the idea, then feel free to ask.

As for a new weapon -- what would it be?

-----
-I know that Searcher seems "all good" right now, but that will change. Remember, he's already tortured a person in this story and Jason won't be the last. Flint might be next.

-Yeah, of course the Legendaries won't really be affected by that. I didn't intend them to be.

-Hmmm, maybe so.

-Still working on that, but I have some ideas that I'm going through.

-Nuju Nui

-----

Nuju Nui/Parugi. Obviously, nature of the AE means that it has since vanished, even if the Searchers hadn't already been destroyed. Does give some insight into Searchers' objectives, though, and contains some interesting implications about Ford's past encounters with TL leadership.

Species: Tesshido

Nickname: Kcyrilus
Trainer: Reyna Dranys
Appearance: Normal Tesshido, except with slightly longer spikes.
Personality: Very practical and slightly cynical. He also possesses a relatively sharp memory.
Ability: Iron Barbs
Specialty: Kcyrilus specializes in using support attacks and tanking hits. He's VERY slow, however. Rather intelligent.
Backstory: Kcyrilus was found by Reyna about 8 years ago following the incident in which Reyna's mother died. He was located in a Poke pound cell (namely, the one Reyna was sent to after the Strata Gem Co. power fiasco,) he couldn't get out of. Eight years later, he was...still there, shunned by casual trainers for his lack of speed, while advanced trainers were turned up by the fact they generally already HAD perfectly good Tesshido being trained. After an assignment to Isshu, Reyna Dranys came back for him much to the practical Grass/Steel's surprise.
Known Moves: Spikes (egg move)
Leech Seed (egg move)
Tackle
Metal Claw
Pin Missile
Curse

Also, wanted to run the following changes to Carl's plan by you:

-The Ice Geode is off the coast of Route 18 rather than Hoenn. Players who want to participate in the Manaphy capture will be lodged in a hotel in Hiun City. (This is when Reyna obtains Tesshido.)
-Carl is basically putting a double requirement on Team Rocket: Joker MUST attend. The reason for this is that as a young Team Rocket scientist (ohes noes!) he basically goes through an intense loss caused by an unsuccessful elimination attempt (due to repeated refusal to take down the mind control project.) before the admins take over the main regions. It results in Past Carl's Alakazam and Eevee dying, and it will lead to a somewhat chilling revelation. It is also what permanently stirs up Carl's disgust at Team Rocket and causes him to leave it.
-This also led to Carl having a profound desire to take direct vengeance against the Shadow Admins in the way they find power: Joker by mind control, Bounty by the direct subversion of the ideals he believed far more than the other admins did and then being destroyed by Steel-types, and Sleight, well, the ideal way would be to use the exact same gun he used against Giovanni. Ace was opposed to ending the mind control project, so she would have been only somewhat humiliated.
-Idea: Carl uses Manaphy to directly take revenge against Joker by basically either crippling her permanently or killing her with the "bloodbending" tactics he devised. Silvermind is not crippled or killed since Carl was only using her as bait for the trap: She's basically a direct demonstration of Manaphy's power. If Carl's domination plan fails (we assume it will,) then Carl's main objective, getting his revenge against Joker, is still fulfilled.

-Carl will likely remain my executive char even after Silvermind rescue.
-Soil Colossus is very much going to be intended as a direct mirror of early Team Rocket. Carl looks up to Giovanni, who he admired somewhat before he was killed, and indeed, he even specializes in Ground-types.

Neya Out.
-----
Tesshido approved.

As for the changes to the plan, addressing each in order:
-Hotel/Ice Geode: Sure.

-Double requirement: Kay.

-Revenge on SAs: Couple of problems here. Ace wouldn't be against mind control, since she was the one who restarted the Shadow Pokémon project in Hoenn -- that moral position would either go to Sleight or Bounty (the former because of finding the concept unworthy of the 'followers' it brings, and the latter for... obvious reasons; he has relatively lighter morals than the others;) and Bounty shot and killed Giovanni, not Sleight.

-Joker: Crippling, maybe, not sure if I'd allow it to be permanent; killing is a definite no, because I still have (currently frozen) plans for her.

-Carl/Silvermind: So if Carl becomes your executive... what'll happen to SM?

-K. I assume that SC will be against both TL and TR from that point on? That might fit in nicely with the idea I have involving Ford, Energon and maybe Team Galactic or the Searchers (former two definitely, TG possibly, Searchers unlikely now due to recent changes in Searcher's attitude.)
-----
-Revenge: Yeah, I probably phrased that wrong. I was trying to say Ace was not opposed to it. Though...hmm...does Sleight have any dirty secrets that would humiliate him in front of Team Rocket? (I also had an...interesting...way of translating vengeance against Bounty.)

-Joker: Alright. I was wondering, given you had few other plans.

-Silvermind will remain an NPC. I just find my plans for SC are bigger than those I had for Silvermind, besides, I'm learning that Doubles/Triples are a better way to think in order to power play than singles, hence why I have Heat Wave on Hitomoshi.

-SC will be primarily against Team Rocket, and neutral to Team Liberty (though whereas the moment SC reveals its motives publicly to TR they will probably oppose him back, TL will probably be opposed to SC one-sidedly. TL will be considered more of a splinter in SC's side, though there's ONE reason Carl might want to raid the Alamo....) Stilll...what exactly is this plan?

(BTW, SC has much better virus protection than the Searchers.)

Neya Out.

-----
-Revenge: Ah; I gets it now.
If Sleight does, no one knows -- barely anyone knows anything about him as it is, aside form his position and role in TR's takeover.

-Silvermind: I see.

-SC: Mm; k, then.
I can't tell you that, as I'm still putting it together to make it absolutely flawless, and then I need to run it by GLaDOS and Bundalings to see if they think I should go through with it or not. If it's successful, though, then it'll leave a castle fragmented, quite a few people back at square one and at a different plane, and essentially just turn everything as we know it upside down.
...
... If that analogy helps at all.

-----

-Plot: Ah, okay.

And anyways...it had to get made eventually...also, massive approval spree ahead:

Username: High Templar Neya
Name: Reyna
Species: Zoroark
Trainer Alias: Reyna Dranys
Age: As a Pokemon, Reyna is about 10 human years old. Her human form looks about late 16, and she'll give her age as that if questioned.
Faction: Team Rocket
Hometown: Hiun City
Alias Hometown: Snowpoint City
Appearance as a Pokemon: Reyna has multiple red stripes on her final tail. The relatively small size she possessed as a Zorua is no longer present.
Appearance in her "human" form: Reyna Dranys has a white T-shirt, an orange mini-skirt, pink shoes, dark blond hair, and fair skin. Her irises are the same color as a Zoroark's. (In Snowpoint, now its ruins, she wears standard Ace Trainer getup.) She is taller than before her evolution.
Personality: She is intelligent, resourceful, and occasionally kind. She tends to normally only show this side to her team, though. As a human, she will occasionally put on a slightly callous personality, and indeed, it is how she got to Team Rocket. However, her softer side often shines through to those who know her personality well. She is also adventurous, and secretly wants the best to happen when it couldn't happen for her.
Ability: Illusion
Specialty: Reyna is an EXTREMELY intelligent Pokemon. She can utilize her Illusion ability to great effect.
With the aid of Ditto and a Psychic-type (usually this is Meditite, due to his training he can maintain the link even subconsciously [A.K.A. even fainted],) she can mimic and fully control the shape of a human, in the form of Reyna Dranys. Upon evolution she has gained infinitely more potent illusion powers, and she is capable of forming Reyna Dranys without needing Ganydrayna, her Ditto companion. However, Reyna still prefers the mind link method when she needs to go through areas requiring solidity that pure illusions don't provide.

She suffers from poor defenses as a Pokemon, a trait shared by all Zorua and Zoroark, though she is rather capable of fighting. Her "human" form is more durable (well, as durable as a female human can be), but slightly less potent with attacks if she isn't. It is far less difficult than for her time as a Zorua to use her Pokemon attacks as a human, however.

Her battling capabilities as both a "human" and a Zoroark have improved exponentially from her Zorua form.

Backstory: Enigma. Known at a young age, even for Zorua, to have received PTSD from an incident in a certain company her mother used for work. She then moved to the streets in Hiun City, gaining food as needed. When a trash law prevented her from gaining more food, she got onto a random ship headed for Sinnoh to find more adventure. This ship, the S.S. Empoleon, also carried Reyna's now-lifelong friend and partner, Ganydrayna. After heading to Snowpoint City, they found Link, a Meditite, training at Route 217, whom they recruited. Eventually, the three discovered their ability to masquerade as a human, Link creating a psychic bond between Ganydrayna and Reyna, Reyna creating an illusion, and Ganydrayna giving it form from Reyna's will. This was perfect for them, and soon, they could imitate an alias: Reyna Dranys. This amalgamation allowed the trio to learn about a large number of human subjects, Team Rocket being one. Displaying interest in joining, she was accepted, her abilities on solo missions being relatively high, and her group mission records, while not being as impressive, still being relatively high.

Upon evolution, Reyna has become exponentially better at combat. Shadow Admin Buzz has learned of her true form.
Known Moves:
Trickery (upgraded from Leer)
U-Turn (upgraded from Scratch)
Pursuit
Nasty Plot (upgraded from Fake Tears)
Fury Swipes
Night Burst

Reading back over Reyna's old profile, I just realized how many times I've broken what Reyna's Zorua profile has said...I've reset the method of how her mom died and I've had her use Pokemon attacks as a human (albeit with difficulty, albeit only light difficulty.)

Species: Starly
Nickname: Lewa
Trainer: Scott Stone
Appearance: He has a bronze-colored tail, however the rest of him is normal
Personality: Starly is quite akin to his namesake. He is very jolly.
Ability: Keen Eye
Specialty: Specializes in quick strikes.
Known Moves:
Quick Attack
Endeavor
Wing Attack
Double Team
Pursuit (egg move)

Species: Kofuju
Nickname: Fenix
Trainer: Scott Stone
Appearance: Normal, but his hands glow blue when he attacks.
Personality: Kofuju is a bit rash, and a good bit honorable.
Ability: Regeneration
Specialty: Kofuju is fast. VERY fast. It’s also a decent attacker with both physical and special attacks.
Known Moves:
Baton Pass (egg move)
Meditate
Fake Out
Calm Mind
Force Palm
Swift

Species: Desumasu (egg)
Nickname: Kerrigan
Trainer: Scott Stone
Appearance: Desumasu’s eyes are orange rather than red.
Personality: Desumasu is bold, but secretly a bit shy. Given that she was produced from an egg rather than the standard method of transformation (i.e. Desukaan turning a human into a mummy), she does not cry at her mask.
Ability: Mummy
Specialty: Desumasu prefers to slowly tank hits and support, boosting if it needs to.
Known Moves:
Evil Eye
Will O’ Wisp
Protect
Imprison (egg move)
Nasty Plot (egg move)
Disable

Species: Monozu (egg)
Nickname: Marendar
Trainer: Scott Stone
Appearance: Has a red undercoat and spots rather than dull pink.
Personality: He’s certainly very eager. Almost…jolly?
Ability: Hustle
Specialty: Monozu is good at hitting HARD, even from hatching. However, Monozu is blind by its species’ nature, and Hustle certainly doesn’t help its accuracy problems. He’s easy to dodge, just watch out for when he actually hits. He’s good with being part of a pincer attack: one of Scott’s senior Pokemon forces a Pokemon towards Monozu, who more easily hits it.
Known Moves:
Earth Power (egg move. Downside is that as Monozu is blind, it really isn’t hitting much. Not to mention Monozu isn’t very good with special attacks yet.)
Dark Pulse (egg move. Downside is similar to Earth Power.)
Bite
Headbutt
DragonBreath
Roar

Once again...not all of these will be obtained at once. I plan on Monozu and Desumasu only being obtained at the conclusion of Sandrock plot....

Species: Mijumaru
Nickname: Martin
Trainer: Reyna Dranys
Appearance: His shell is white.
Personality: Martin is a bit hasty.
Ability: Torrent
Specialty: He currently lacks any sort of specialization, being a bit of a jack of all trades. Likes physical attacks, though.
Backstory: Mijumaru mostly desires to be a fighter. He joined the group mostly because of that.
Known Moves:
Water Gun
Fury Cutter
Revenge
Tackle
Focus Energy

*ends mass approval spree as he currently lacks the creative juices to write a Reyna's Kibago profile, a Scott's Aaken profile, or a Carl's Camerupt profile.*

Neya Out.

-----

I edited some background, most notably I returned Reyna's background to the original.

Apparently Oobemu can rewrite memories...I'm going to explain my somewhat hammy RPing in the flashback as being the product of a particularly bored and slightly sadistic Oobemu and have yet another miniplot dedicated to it. (It seems like my specialty is RPing with a side of ham and then changing the ham into much better RPing plots...)

Also, I want to point out TL and TR are both excellent scapegoats for SC Inc. if evidence can be found that

Stoney had an idea for SC Inc. to capture the 4 legendary musketeers: Kobaruon, Terakion, Bijirion, and Kerudio, and trick them onto TR. My idea is to get those shipped off to TR to make the Isshu government believe that TR is behind the captures, and eventually hope that the Isshu government declares actual war against Team Rocket. Does that also sound good? (hmm...it MIGHT make a good revenge against Sleight...)

Also, can Ford please not drain Celebi?

Neya Out.
-----
A'ight.

If evidence can be found that... what?

That idea might not work with the current plan we have going for TR and TL, unless you attempt that post-TR/TL retreat to Isshu...

I hadn't planned on doing so to begin with, so sure. May I ask why?
-----
Evidence:
*Shinporaa used Memory restore!*
*Parugi's and Reyna's memories were restored!*
*Reyna threw a Pokeball at the wild Oobemu!*
*gets caught*
*dundundun, dundundundundundundun.*
*Would you like to nickname the OOBEMU Reyna Dranys caught?*
*Congratulations! Reyna's MAAR was sent to Box 1!*

Scapegoat stuff:
*Brain's Spoiler Absorb used the info to raise its accuracy!*
*Brain used Wild Guess!*
Let me see...Ford takes over the Kanto and Affiliated States with Hollywood hacking, basically forcing them both into Isshu?
*Fingers used Send Message to Carl!*
*Carl's defense and special defense sharply rose!*

As for Celebi...

*points to the fact Celebi can travel through spacetime, something TL seems to have woefully unused*
*points to trained Ditto*
*points to the fact Carl likes Giovanni*
*points to the fact Bounty shot Giovanni*
*point to the fact Carl wants VENGEANCE Monte-Cristo style, I.e. they're brought down by what gave them power*
*points to sign that says "quid pro quo."*

Neya Out.
-----
... You realize I was pointing out how your statement ended at "evidence that" and that I was genuinely confused about what you meant, right?

Alright; now you've just plain confused me. Try laying out what you're talking about with Oobemu in simple terms -- he messed with Reyna's memories, she'll get them back somehow and then catch him? How does Parugi factor into this? XP

No, no, Hollywood hacking would be boring. My plan involves uniting the Searchers, Energon and Galactic and then attacking both TL and TR so swiftly and carefully that they'll both be brought down to their knees. Kanto will remain relatively untouched, but Hoenn, Johto and Sinnoh are all going to be liberated from TL and TR's control.
Of course, that's all confidential; if you want more information for a potential slice of the pie for SCI, then feel free to ask.

... So you want to go back in time and grab a past version of Giovanni?

-----
...I thought you were making a joke about the Oobemu memory rewriting with the "wait, what?" (just forgot to finish a sentence there,) and the reference to you was just a side-event from that. And yes, Oobemu (brought along with a Rocket shipment of Isshu Pokemon) messed with Reyna's memories for relatively sadistic reasons. Tesshido upon obtainment gets Reyna to realize something's wrong with her memory, Reyna catches Shinpora at the night before Ice Geode mission, Shinpora restores her memories...somehow...then after the mission Reyna decides to take vengeance by figuring out where he is and capturing him.

Carl would probably have his company join in the Ford event exclusively to slam TR, get Celebi from TL, and to get some kind of partial immunity to the new government (I.E. the ability to not be repeatedly hounded by Ford for his black market activities.) He can apply his tactics to places that haven't quite figured out the art of Pokemon warfare to make up for the loss of Rocket hostage/document obtainment. He would only attack TL to get Celebi since TL actually holds strategic value against Team Rocket (and you're right: Carl gets Giovanni. He uses Oobemu [and PLENTY of mindshielding...] to write the Shadow Admins' memories into thinking Giovanni was beaten. By basically stopping them from thinking anything happened, Carl doesn't alter the timestream and as a result there are no significant changes from the present day. Carl then reveals Giovanni is alive to sow discord amongst TR and haunt Bounty. Surprised TL hasn't thought of the fact Celebi is probably the most useful Pokemon in the RPG yet.)

Also...

scilogo.png

SCI logo, based on a mythical Pokemon I can't discuss because it's from another forum.

And another hard-to-explain B/W change: Apparently Future Sight and Doom Desire are no longer typeless. Future Sight was clearly shown to be capable of hitting Tyranitar in the RPG.

Neya Out.

-----

Ah; that explains it... XP
Well, glad that miscommunication got cleared up.

Well, Celebi's a time cheater. tongue.gif And actually I think Umbra had a similar idea, only he was going to brag Prof. Oak and bring him to the present.
If this does happen (it'd be interesting if it did, but it sounds like it might cause an uproar if it's accomplished,) I think I'd rather have the Shadow Admin's memories stay untouched -- if the purpose was to keep the time stream untouched by making them think he wasn't dead to begin with, you'd have to also track down the two guards who dragged his deceased body out of the office in the prologue. tongue.gif
That and to avoid potential paradoxes I'm thinking of using a time law similar to BIONICLE's -- if you mess with the past, it won't mess with the future, just create an alternate reality where whatever happened drove that reality in a different direction form the prime one.

Kay; as long as you don't plan on having this Pokémon actually appear (assuming it's not an actual one? tongue.gif )

Didn't both of those already have types before?
And I'd write off that Future Sight hit as human error -- it won't happen again. tongue.gif

-----
It's the ninth project of a competitive Pokemon forum's competitive Pokemon creation forum. (It's a dark/ground land narwhal...Waruvial [official final ground/dark Crocodile evo Romanization] ain't got nothing on it...if only I could show you the real art used for it and not my stylized version here...) It's also what Soil Colossus is named after. (the two component words in its name are soil and colossus.)

I would probably just nab all seven (shadow admins+guards+Giovanni) as soon as possible, then send them back with rewritten memories afterwards. Interestingly, Celebi could be used for a LOT of different things...

Future Sight/Doom Desire in Gen IV and previous was effectively typeless damage: Future Sight would affect Tyranitar and Doom Desire would affect Heatran normally, not get same-type attack bonus, etc. Now it takes fewer turns and works based on typing: now Heatran resists Doom Desire 4x and Tyranitar can't be hit by Future Sight without Miracle Eye in effect.

Neya Out.

-----

Ah; I see. So you have no plans of having it appear besides SCI's logo?

I'm still against the idea of having their (or at least all of their) memories rewritten.
Many interesting things, indeed -- many of which would be considered unfair and god-moddy and as such won't be allowed.

I see. Weelll, as Doom Desire hasn't even been seen yet and Future Sight only hit Tyranitar once, there isn't really a problem with the changes.

-----
Unless with your permission I adapt ROTR to the forum it's from, no.

I will occasionally make references though, with the key aspect of them actually being myths. ("When in the territory of Syc- I mean Beedrill" partially references an Ice/Bug type project thtat was basically the project's trial run. Similar things will occur throughout: The false memory referenced a "Strata Gem" company, which was project 5 of that subforum.)

Also...can the Orange Islands spontaneously disappear from spacetime (or at the very least get permanently inaccessible through the mission) if we all agree on it? They kind of serve no point other than being anime canon from a filler season, we haven't used them and not even Carl really sees a point in trying to exploit them...and most of us aren't really anime watchers....

Neya Out.

-----

Alrighty. And though that adaptation note is probably just a hypothetical, if you want to do so in the future then feel free to -- just be sure to give credit.

The Orange Islands are going to become very important to TR soon, once Ford's plan goes through. So wiping them out isn't a very good idea. Plus, destroying them would also mean getting rid of Kumata's executive, which (despite the fact that the chances of him coming back to RoTR are very, very, very, very slim,) I'd rather not do.

-----
Okay.

...Alright, if nobody goes there even after 50 pages past when Ford's plan goes through, THEN can we remove it?

Also, permission for Carl to have spies in Purgatory that alert him to the mind control?

And BTW:

*Isshu News Network commercial break begins*

You've all heard what's happened to Johto and Sinnoh.
Minds taken over, your body turned against yourself.
And with that kind of power, it could happen here too.

But we at Soil Colossus Inc. have a product that's perfect.
Introducing AbsolGuard 1.0.
It's an easy-to-use set of earplug-like devices that completely stop mind control attempts, memory rewrites, telekinetic actions against you, and other psychic assaults in a manner similar to the natural mental defenses of Dark-types.
You can even have a hearing aid in it if you need one!

Note that this is legitimate, but there's a special override code for in case TR ever gets a hold of it. Carl is VERY good at suppressing information...and legitimate business often has similar pay to the black market at an infinitely lower risk.

So yeah, I was thinking about a new character after Shade and Sombra are gone. He's an Ice type specialist, mentioned in one of my recent posts, but the thing I was wondering is if I could make him replace those two characters as an executive type character. Shade will also be less active during the Sombra arc, mostly appearing to hamper the progress of Seth, Kinali, Evan and Bria. After Sombra is beaten, Shade will appear for one last battle with Seth before finally vanishing for good.

The Ice specialist will serve as a rival and ally to our little group. He may also join Team Liberty.

Also, regarding Sombra, Alku, Kinali and myself have decided that Sombra should be killed in the final battle. When Sombra returns to the world, he will also absorb his followers in an attempt to become unstoppable. Nine is welcome to join in the battle against Sombra, so as to see Sombra be destroyed for good tongue.gif

-----
Considering the entertainment this whole Darkrai incident has provided, I'm fine with him being an Executive-type character. Just get a profile written up and I can preapprove him. happy.gif

Alrighty; sounds fair enough. I was considering having Nine pull a Krika/Icarax and attempt to get Five to help him sabotage the others, but this sounds equally good. tongue.gif

Background: Ian had a normal life, living in Isshu for most of his life. When he was ten, he traveled to Sinnoh, where he met Seth Vicens and formed a quick friendship with the boy. While in Sinnoh, Ian became fascinated with the new kinds of Pokemon in the region. Before he left, he captured a Sneasel, which quickly became his closest friend. Ian would travel many regions, capturing different Pokemon, eventually deciding to become a master ice trainer. Ian, after training for years in Isshu, has decided to return to meet up with his friend.

Also, Nine could still form an alliance with Five after the Darkrai are released from their prisons. Five will realize that Nine is right and that Sombra isn't doing the world any good. Then the two Darkrai could join Seth, Evan, Kinali and Bria against Sombra, after Sombra absorbs the other seven Darkrai.

Detranix/Parugi. Character has not been used or mentioned since this approval, but Darkrai plans went through essentially as described here.

I thought about what you said about the Searchers joining with the other factions in the war and sure, I'm good with it. In my next post, which has taken me forever to write, I will have the S Commanders discuss it and vote yes to it. They will be contacting Galactic, Ford, and Energon and one of them will be planning an invasion.

Just checking with you for details and go-aheads.

-----
Alrighty; glad you're on-board.

I don't have this completely laid out yet, but I have a good idea of what I expect to happen and what I hope will happen. First and foremost, it's going to involve the arrests of several player characters, most likely, or at the very least, a ton of my NPCs. Second, if all goes as I think it will, Team Rocket's going to lose a lot of its foothold in Johto and Sinnoh, and as well as something similar happening to Team Liberty in Hoenn. This, along with your planned attack on the Alamo, would force Team Liberty and Team Rocket to scatter a bit more than they have now -- while TR will remain strong in Kanto and the Orange Islands, several people (including Joker) will be forced to retreat to Isshu, while the damage done to the Alamo will present a similar situation for TL, only they will mostly be staying in the Sevii Islands (though many will still fall back to Isshu.) This serves a dual purpose of giving people their much-longed for opportunity to capture a bunch of Isshu Pokémon, while also giving a story reason for these sudden mass appearances.

Now, as for how this'll go down -- I'm thinking something like this.
-The Unown are going to be sealed back into their dimension by Ethan, who got captured by someone in one my last posts. This person is going to wind up being another hunter hired by Ford.

-The various groups are going to be contacted by Ford through several means. Ford-Energon relations are already being dealt with by James Pierce, and the Searchers will soon be contacting them, as you say, to expand the treaty to them as well. Another Ford representative will be sent to speak to Team Galactic, at the same time as the searchers contact them, and finally, there will be a small sequence in which Ford speaks to a previously mentioned weapons company in Saffron City called Déoza. The Déoza meeting won't be known by the Searchers, Energon or Galactic, as it's a bit of a secretive organization.

-Team Energon's attempt to drain Mewtwo will likely coincide with the Searchers' attack on Four Island.

-Soon after the Four Island attack, similar strikes will be made on Purgatory and Abyss; Joker will have been weakened by that point due to an event relating to Soil Collosus, and so won't be as hard to beat as Bounty will. Prior to that, something else will be going on with Bounty, as well, though I'm going to keep that to myself for now.

-No attack attempt will be made on Chapel, due to the fact that Ford knows better than to try and take it. Likewise, I don't expect an attack on Paradise, either, because it'll still be too damaged from the two Liberty strikes to pose much of a threat -- not to mention the fact that I'm not sure if GLaDOS will be very happy with the idea of it being demolished.

Aaand that's essentially what I have so far. I'll probably plan it out further once I run this by Bundalings and GLaDOS (which I still haven't done... XP)
In the meantime, feel free to provide any suggestions or to ask any questions you may have.

-----
You may capture either Jake or Jason if you wish. If you don't have Jason captured, I think he'll be finished before he even gets out of Johto. If you do, I'll move him into position.

These other strikes on Purgatory and Abyss, will they be made by Team Liberty or one of the other factions?

When would you like the Searchers to deliver Shade?

Would all of the Searcher prisoners be allowed to escape during the invasion?

-Nuju Nui

-----

Nuju Nui/Parugi. Obviously several details have been largely changed since all of this was implemented.

Yo. Alright; I have this new idea that's just too awesome (to me) to pass up, and I want your and GLaDOS's opinions on it.

Basically, we haven't had anything really groundbreaking happen at all in the RPG yet, aside from a couple of attacks on Paradise and the Alamo. I want to change that; I want to temporarily topple both TR and TL and give a new group a chance to reign -- and I think this idea will allow just that to happen fairly nicely. The groups in particular are essentially the current underdogs -- the Searchers, Team Energon, Team Galactic and (to lead them) Ford and his lackeys, possibly Soil Collosus as well.

I don't have this completely laid out yet, but I have a good idea of what I expect to happen and what I hope will happen. First and foremost, it's going to involve the arrests of several player characters, or at the very least, a ton of my NPCs. Second, if all goes as I think it will, Team Rocket's going to lose a lot of its foothold in Johto and Sinnoh, and as well as something similar happening to Team Liberty in Hoenn. This combined with a currently-planned mini-attack on the Alamo from the Searchers would force Team Liberty and Team Rocket to scatter a bit more than they have now -- while TR will remain strong in Kanto and the Orange Islands, several people (including Joker) will be forced to retreat to Isshu, while the damage done to the Alamo will present a similar situation for TL, only they will mostly be staying in the Sevii Islands (though many will still fall back to Isshu.) This serves a dual purpose of giving people their much-longed-for opportunity to capture a bunch of Isshu Pokémon, while also giving a story reason for these sudden mass appearances.

Now, as for how this'll go down -- I'm thinking something like this.
-The Unown are going to be sealed back into their dimension by Ethan, who got captured by someone in one my last posts. This person is going to wind up being another hunter hired by Ford. This will 1. remove the currently-frozen, there-just-to-be-there Unown swarm from Johto, and 2. open the doors for half of step 4 (detailed below.)

-The various groups are going to be contacted by Ford through several means. Ford-Energon relations are already being dealt with by James Pierce, and the Searchers will soon be contacting them, to expand the treaty to them as well.

-Soon after the Four Island attack, similar strikes will be made on Purgatory and Abyss; Joker will have been weakened by that point due to an event relating to Soil Collosus and the Silvermind rescue, and so won't be as hard to beat as Bounty will. Prior to that, Sleight and Bounty are going to have a falling out of sorts, the reason for which will be revealed later.

-No attack attempt will be made on Chapel, due to the fact that Ford knows better than to try and take it. Likewise, I don't expect an attack on Paradise, either, because it'll still be too damaged from the two Liberty strikes to pose much of a threat -- not to mention the fact that I'm not sure if Buzz will be very happy with the idea of it being demolished. tongue.gif

That's currently all I have planned out fort his right now. I'd like your opinions on it before I continue, partly to see if you guys think it's worth going for and partly because I'm sure there are kinks that need to be hammered out. Personally, I think it'd be fun to go through with -- it would provide interesting conflict, possibly open up a temporary TR-TL alliance, it would give people a chance to go to Isshu (and therefore save me the trouble of yelling at people for bringing a bunch of Isshu Pokémon into the other regions) and... yeah.

Thoughts?
-----
Sounds good. Fits well with a character I'm working on, a dealer of weapons that wants the war to go on as long as possible.

When do you think you'll implement this? I'd like to wrap some stuff up before the world collapses.
-----
Awesome; glad you like it.

It's going to start soon -- Nuju Nui's most recent post essentially already kicked off step two and I expect the Unown will be sealed back up in one or two pages; after that it'll be a fairly gradual thing. If Neya's prediction about the end of the Silvermind saga is correct, then the big stuff should start at around page 195 or 200.
Also, since I figured there would be a few missions that people don't want interferences in, such as the ongoing Sombra thing, those players will be relatively exempt from the "purge" until they're ready to begin participating, so I wouldn't worry about a ton of disruptions.

-----

What's up with Sombra, anyway?

Oh, and would it be okay to have a character that had power over some Dark attacks? I figure so, since Jayron has Aura ans Shade, admin that he is, had Dark powers too.

-----
Evil Darkrai who was sealed away after leading a group of other Darkrai against Arceus; long story. Most of his backstory is on the wiki, on the Darkrai page -- it's pretty cool stuff, actually.

I suppose so. How does he have those powers, though?

And to answer your other two questions:
-Kirikizan: Go ahead.

-Talking Pokemon: No special rules, no, but if you absolutely must have a talking Pokemon I'd prefer it if there was an explanation of some sort -- telepathy, learned speech, anything works as a reason, just as long as there's one at all.

-----

She has a natural ability that she's nurtured for many years, training with Dark types, which she feels a connection to. We've got natural psychics, aura users... I don't even know what Shade did to get those powers.

yay

Said Kirikizan has been with his trainer for many many years and has learned human speech. Reason enough? Heck! We have a wild Aerodactyl that can talk, of course a civilized Kirikizan can.

I hope to be active later today, I haven't had much computer access lately. And my phone isn't the best for writing long ICs.

-----

Parugi/Bundalings. Again, several large details were changed in the implementation of all this, likely for the better.

Thoughts from GLaDOS:

-----

That all sounds pretty good to me. It is a nice idea to shake things up a little.

I was beginning to think of some ideas of how to introduce the "Mask of Ice". Who was the leader of "Neo-Team Rocket" after the disappearance in the Manga. I know the Manga is a bit dodgey, but he's still an interesting character.

That may tie into this at some point?
-----
Awesome; looks like that's 3 for 3, so it shouldn't fail after all.

The guy who played as Quinn wanted to do something similar to that before he left; if you can figure out a way to bring him in (maybe Pryce cryogenically froze himself for some reason?) then I'd be fine with it. As it is, though, I don't have any plans for him, but it can be arranged.
-----
Oh wow, I didn't realise he was Pryce...
I guess you learn something new everyday.

I was thinking of something like him collecting a whole load of Celebi and trying to overthrow the Shadow Admins to retake his control over Team Rocket. Maybe even allying with Team Liberty.
-----
My only question in regards to that is how did he get so many Celebi?

Also, Neya just sent me another idea, which I'm not too sure about approving or not. See my other PM for details.

-----
I was thinking he maybe got his two remaining minions, Keane and Chermaine, to find and catch a few whilst he was in hiding and has decided to rise up.

Or something, it's still a rough idea. I can put some thought into it and come up with a more solid idea, but I'd like to include Keane and Chermaine.

Of course, it could work with no Celebi at all, he has just decided to come out of hiding/cryogenic rest and is wanting to overthrow the current Team Rocket. Mostly, I would assume, out of jealousy of the fact that they are leading it.

-----

GLaDOS/Parugi.

Heyyy, wasn't sure if you wanted me to post this or PM it so I went with the safest bet. Also, I'm not gonna ask for a huge recap, but if you could gimme a heads up as to what's going on at this very moment and where a good place to start out/make an appearance is, that's be really helpful smile.gif

Username: Vak's Inferno (Vakshaga)
Name: Roy Turnbull
Faction: Team Liberty
Hometown: Lived on the timberline of Mt. Silver, just outside of any major towns.
Age: 17
Appearance: With silver hair and piercing blue eyes, Roy sports jeans with a red and black jacket and a tight-fitting undershirt. He's medium in height, and fair muscled (primarily in his legs from his days in the mountains).
Personality: Roy's the type of guy who will stand up for what he believes in, yet at the same time he is often associated as the guy who will merely observe without input to gather what he can. Resourceful, Roy prefers espionage or undercover missions, whether alone or not. Fairly optomistic, he considers both sides before leaping in. In short; Roy's a careful trainer.
Background: About 5 years ago, Roy started training. He quickly excelled as his father had before him. However, about half a year ago the Rockets raided his home in an unusually violent clamor because his father had potential information about the location of a Legendary- which ended up being false. However, in the event, Roy and his Pokemon fought bravely. The Rocket's won, and absconded with both his father and his Pokemon team. Forced to start anew, Roy's experience will serve him well with his new Pokemon, friends that came to him in the forest during the weeks he spent coming to terms with what had transpired. With new confidence and new friends, Roy is ready to liberate the nation from the Rockets!
Pokémon: Larvitar, Scyther

Species: Larvitar
Nickname: Dusk
Trainer: Roy Turnbull
Appearance: Dusk is just about entirely the same, with the exception of black, unreadable eyes.
Personality: Quiet, unquestioning; Dusk seems to have a strong resemblance to Roy in that he will observe before acting. The two have a strong bond early on.
Ability: Guts
Specialty: Defense... Dusk is a wall despite his size.
Known Moves: Sandstorm, Rockslide, Bite, Dark Pulse, Screech

Species: Scyther
Nickname: Reaper
Trainer: Roy Turnbull
Appearance: Reaper's arms are actually sharpened and have jagged ridges cut into them- abuse put upon it by a former trainer before it managed to escape long ago. His wings are also mamed beyond repair.. as such, Reaper cannot fly.
Personality: Despite having a rocky past, Reaper is not particularly distrustful to humans.. at least Roy, that is. Other humans Reaper will cast his back upon, and it is fair to say without his trainer's restraining words, Reaper might very well skip a Pokemon battle and go straight for the opposing trainer or Rocket member. Even Roy cannot quite figure out the enigmatic mind of Reaper, but the two have a mutual trust and friendship.
Ability: Swarm, Technician
Specialty: Reaper is incredibly fast for a Scyther, as well has being brutally effective in physical attacks.. however, his resistance to special attacks is quite low. Sturdy base defense.
Known Moves: X-Scissor, Double Team, Fury Cutter, Swords Dance, Night Slash, Air Slash

If you wanna talk anything over, just go ahead and message me back!

PM, post, same diff -- you're approved either way. tongue.gif Welcome to RoTR! happy.gif

Let's see... current events... Well, as you can probably see form the first post, a ton of Legendary Pokémon and trainers have been recruited to all sides by now, so they're a pretty common sight at either team's main bases. There haven't been a ton of huge things going on lately -- mainly just dimensional distortion caused by a massive battle atop Spear Tower, but that has since been dealt with. There's also a fairly big battle going on at Paradise, Team Rocket's main facility in Hoenn located on Southern Island, in an attempt to rescue Silvermind, one of Team Liberty's leaders.

Other than that... I think the only other events happening are Legendary Pokémon/trainer search missions. I'd suggest starting on Four Island, since you're Team Liberty, and finding someone to go on a mission with, to help get yourself acquainted with some other players -- I think there are around six or seven active player characters there at the moment, so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone.

So, yeah; again, welcome to the role-play, and if you have any questions or need any suggestions in regards to what to do, feel free to ask in the RPG topic -- we're all willing to help out new players however we can.
-----
Haha, well thanks a ton for the warm welcomes. Actually you shouldn't have any troubles with me other than anything specific to your RPG (I read a few things in a rush as I had to go, but I think I got enough gist to stay outta trouble). I'm actually a veteran RPer, with a couple multi-hundred page RPGs in my past.. so I think I'll get along fine. Again though, thanks for the warm welcome! I've seen this RPG for some time and debated joining it.. and with my recent successes on Pearl, I've been compelled to Roleplay pokemon style!

See ya there
-----
Oh; alrighty then. I was more referring to any questions you had in regards to past events, but okay.

But yeah. Also, a couple of things I forgot to mention last PM -- we actually have a Wiki dedicated to RoTR (located here) that is relatively up to date if you need any immediate information on another player or an NPC. Along with that, as I noticed you haven't already, don't forget to post your profile in the RPG topic itself so that people have your character's information on-hand.

So yeah; that should be all. I will see you around the RPG, then.

-----
Ah, the wiki might be pretty useful and helpful! Thanks for that! And alrighty, I'll sneak it into my next post.

Non-faction specific, mm... Can't say I know of anything right now outside of the Alamos plot or possibly what's going down in Celadon, but you'd have to talk to JiMing, Ehks, or Sonyaxe about the former and Konuju, Blade, or JiMing for the latter. Mangs and I are also working through a plot in Kalos, so that's a possibility, but I'd be cautious with it since it's going a bit slow. X3

Continuing BTS stuff...

As the title says, Neya just sent me another idea, which I'm not at all sure about approving or not. Here it is for your consideration:
--
QUOTE
[Parugi Note: Continuing from the title of Neya's PM, hence the ellipses he put.]...but I'm getting ever-increasingly grandiose plans for this RPG...

Anyways, would you approve of Team Rocket TRYING to bring up the mind control at the United Tower, having most nations not take interest, but having Isshu quietly send the following char to investigate? (note: This char has other significance...though you could probably figure it out from the profile.)

Username: High Templar Neya
Real Name: Unknown
Codename: Dark
Species: Desukaan
Faction: Isshu Agency of Investigation, Intelligence, and Covert Operations (IAIICO)
Hometown: Hiun City (transformed into Desumasu and evolved into Desukaan at Area 2601)
Age: 19
Appearance: Dark appears to have a golden fox head for a mask on her sarcophagus rather than a human one for some reason...
Personality: She is usually very focused on her mission, though she is occasionally distracted if she sees something from her time before her existence as a member of the Desumasu evo line.
Background: Unknown. Rumored by various conspiracy theorists to be the first product of Project Anubis: a project that experimented with Desukaan usage for reviving dead/mortally wounded field troops and their Pokemon as Desumasu to be used on the battlefield again later. However, the government of Isshu cannot confirm or deny the existence of such a project or if Dark is the field test of such a project through an attempt at finding out what exactly happened that almost instantly overturned Team Rocket's and Team Liberty's influence in Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh...

Neya cannot confirm or deny any relationships to one of his other chars.
Ability: Mummy
Specialty: Hiding, and taking hits long enough to boost her special attack with Nasty Plot. Dark can also communicate telepathically.

Yes, their names reference Sonic Heroes.

It would also be interesting if Isshu decided to delare war on Ford's new state...

So...at the very least considered for approval? I understand if you don't approve of it (or the idea of a non-staff member use two "executive-class" characters for that matter).

Neya Out.

--
There are a couple of things I'm not sure about in here/I'm rather against, which should be pretty obvious. Just for simplicity's sake, though:
-If the Isshu government were to get involved in the Ford-uprising affair, which I've established several times that it would most likely not, then I don't think that they would send an agent transformed into a Pokémon, especially one virtually unheard of in the region it's being sent to.

-Second is isshu issue of the Isshu government... organization... stuff. Yeah; you get my point. It's already been established that they won't take part in the war, but should we outlaw any involvement at all on their part? Do we want them doing... whatever it is Neya has them doing here?
Related to that -- how might they react to the sudden insurgence of TL and TR members? Personally, I was thinking the situation there might be a Ba Sing Se case -- all talk of the war is silenced, essentially.

-Then there's the war idea. I'm thinking "no" to that, personally -- Ford's uprising is essentially going to stop the TL/TR war, at least for a short time, so I don't see much of a reason for them to declare war on Ford...

So, yeah. Opinions would be really appreciated here.

Also, did you have any suggestions for new TL Executives/Leaders? So far Jayron, Scott S. and James have all been suggested to me; any opinions on those?

-----
I thought Neya had already used all his trainer slots...

Regardless, did you award him an excec character? Because that's what this looks like. Three (or four, depending on how you count it) evolved Pokémon that know TM moves. Not to mention I don't think Earth Power and Dark Pulse are compatible on Jiheddo. I would not approve this profile as is, nor would I award Neya with an exec character. He godmods and controls situations too much.

Now, if he devolved all the Pokémon (except maybe Desukaan), and got rid of one of them... or maybe left one evolved, but not all three... and got rid of those TM moves, or at least most of them, then maybe I'd approve the Pokémon aspect of the profile.

HOWEVER

I agree with you about the backstory. But there is a workaround that you could present to Neya that I think would make the profile more interesting and compatible with the RPG rules.

"Project Anubis" is not an Isshu government thing, and Isshu is like Ba Sing Se. Most people don't even know there's conflict in the other regions. But the people Dark is affiliated with are a secret group that knows, and are trying to... I don't know, expose it somehow, fight the government of Isshu. So she can still go on her mission, but it's for this other group that's against the main Isshu government. Or something.

The part about Isshu declaring war is rubbish. It makes no sense. Isshu is pretty much completely separate from the other regions, and they have no reason to care.

Speaking of Isshu, Team Plasma was disbanded in B/W, but someone mentioned fighting Plasma Grunts earlier. Maybe Team Plasma came back, but more reasonable this time, and they're the rulers of Isshu currently? Basically their agenda isn't to release all Pokémon, they just govern Isshu and strongly encourage the fair and equal treatment of Pokémon. Basically, if you're caught abusing, you can be sent to jail and all that jazz.

GLaDOS's thoughts:

-----

Personally, I don't really think it's a good idea. I just think it seems a bit dodgy. And yeah, I pretty much agree with the points you raised.

And I think Jayron would be the most fitting candidate in my opinion.
-----
Alright; Bundalings agrees as well.

-----
I guess that's that, then.

Also, I was wondering if you were planning on working on the wiki pages of people like Sleight? Because... well, he's the most important man in Team Rocket and his wiki page is pretty much empty. I would if I knew anything about him.

-----

GLaDOS/Parugi.

Eh... maybe. Personally, I doubt such a small-time group would be able to capture such a powerful Pokémon, especially one from such a faraway region as Isshu, but I could be convinced otherwise. How'd they get it?

-----
mmm... okay, it took me a while to come up with this... but here goes:

At the end of XD, Ardos escaped to an unamed location. He went to Isshu and spent some time hiding (Which would explain the presence of both Ononokusu and Sazandora in his team. As well as other Isshu pokémon in possesion of the other admins). However, his obsesion with Cipher's revival proved too strong. So he started investigating on both the whereabouts of Cipher's ex-admins and possible new plans with shadow pokémon. With time he was able to find and re-recruit most of Ciphers admins (Minus Eldes, who refused profusely, and Venus, who couldn't be found)., even Miror.B, who was actually tricked in (He was told he would get his own dance studio). Ardos also found some information that could be seen as useful: Snagem was still active, though severely diminished. And he also found reports about team plasma's activities in Isshu, (Team plasma had been beaten around... lets say 10 years ago).

In the archives he found out about Geechisu's plans to strip the population from pokémon and taking control of the region, he also found out plans from other experiments, including the plan of the reconstruction of a fossil pokémon (Genosect). Ardos took special interest in this last plan and proceeded to find the pokémon that, according to the report, had escaped.

It was rather difficult at first. Given that they would seem rather suspicious, and they had no financial resources, but with some time they were able to find Genosect's whereabouts. A few months of training and investigation (On Ein's part no less) were enough to prepare them for genosect's capture.

In order to catch Genosect, Cipher admins (The smart ones that is) Designed a electromagnetic trap that would trap Genosect and impede his movement (Like the magnet hold ability). And would also damage it little by little.

For egnosect to be caught howeever, it would need to be lured into the trap. As no pokémon with common sense would actually walk into one. That's where Dakim and Gorigan entered. They attacked Genosect, forcing it to flee in the traps direction. genosect eventually was trapped in the electromagnetic field and was able to be captured.

With a shadow pokémon in their hands Ardos decided it was time to revive Cipher. They managed a deal with Snagem and joined forces. Before leaving Isshu though, they captured some pokémon that would later be converted into shadow pokémon.

Once in Orre, Cipher set to work. The priority was to transfor genosect into a shadow pokémon, task that wasn't easy. But after long years of investigation and torture on the pokémon, they finally managed to do it. Genosect proved to be really chaotic and dangerous however, and was forced into his pokéball, and put in a really deep chamber at the shadow pokémon factory. Only to be released if need arised.

Cipher then began making shadow pokémon. And was planning to expand their domains on the abandoned city of The Under. This is the point where James, Scott, Ethan, Amelia, Michael and Roderick. Intervened and stopped them. Only two normal shadow pokémon had been made: Riguree (Now with Roderick) And Buffaron (In the team of Miror.B, though he didn't got it until after he escaped).

Now with the shadow pokémon factory destroyed in a gigantic explosion, The chamber of Genosect was exposed. And most of the security was now destroyed. Allowing genosect to be free and bring chaos at anyone that angers it.

As for Genosect itself. The shadowification process has made him a pitch black colour. Sporting blood-red eyes. Larger-red claws, and spikes on his back. The Bazooca on his rear is now more powerful and it is able to launch dark buster (A shadow variation of his move: Techno Buster).

I hope this argument convinces you.

Professor Ecketzal.

-----

Parugi/Ecketzal. I think this was regarding Genesect? I don't have any PMs preceding or following up on this, so I'm not entirely sure what the conversation was about.

No, I'm not about to unleash a huge storyline-changing thing that results in anything major, for the moment I'm just giving Jayron something to do besides running after Silvermind 24/7, along with a new pokemon. And since this may end up bending the legendary pokemon rules later, I figured it would require approval.

Basically, I'll be adding on to the current situation with the Shadow pokemon, and it will end likely with Ford or TR having a new powerful legendary. Either that, or they get TL's Mewtwo, and TL gets this legendary.

While Jayron is at the Alamo, I was going to have him hold off and eventually capture a Shadow Absol. The difference here is that this Absol is in an almost permanent shadow state. Not only that, but like Lucario and Jayron, it can use the Aura well, (It won't know Aura Sphere) though its Aura and its Shadow status have merged, which is how it became permanent. It will be treated like a normal pokemon with regular moves and such, but its specialty and personality will be vastly different from a normal pokemon.

Cyan (being the computer geek he is) will eventually learn the details of this new form of shadow pokemon, as well as the source, which I'll stick somewhere in Isshu just to give Jayron an excuse to go there. This will probably involve the temporary creation of a small faction that is like an Isshu-based Team Snagem. They are trying to create upgraded Shadow Pokemon, and this time, instead of Lugia, they want a Shadow Mewtwo.

In the end, the Shadow Mewtwo will probably be beaten by Jayron and/or Cyan and whoever else is with him/them, and then captured by Dara and sent to Ford or TR, your choice. But basically it's a way to get another Mewtwo into this RPG. Plus, since it would still be more like a Dark Mewtwo, it would fit perfectly with Ford or TR.

If you need a profile of Mewtwo/Absol or anything, let me know. I'm not very knowledgeable about Colosseum or Shadow XD, but I try my best.

If this doesn't end up getting approved, I'll just have Jayron catch a Dark Absol instead. I just think a Shadow Mewtwo would be awesome.

-UoD

-----

Alrighty; glad to see that went well.

For Mewtwo -- I can have Ford secretly request its creation. That would also serve as a reason for Dara to catch it and hand it over to Ford -- essentially finishing the delivery after it escapes. I don't think I'll have TR request it simply because of the fact that, with the technology they have now and the fact that the files are theirs, they could technically make another one any time they wanted to.

But yeah; this looks good now, so I'll go ahead and give it the go ahead.

-----
Shhh! Don't give them any ideas! TR doesn't need an army of Mewtwo anytime soon.

Anyway, I kinda figured Ford would be the one ending up with Mewtwo, partially because he already sent TE after TL's Mewtwo. That, and Nine could use some company.

Not sure when we'll get to this exactly, but when we do, I can have Dara's employer assign her a Mewtwo-related mission to let you know. After all, for one to create Mewtwo, one needs the dna of Mew, and to get that, one needs a Mew, so...

...Logically then, Dara would need to locate a Mew. Since TL's poor Mew has been through so much, I'll just have her locate a wild one, as it would be a lot easier for her anyway. (even if it would make an interesting way to get Cyan ticked off with her)

One final thing: I figured I might as well get Absol's profile approved now.

Umbra of Doom/Parugi. Part of this conversation seems to be missing, but ultimately Shadow Absol was approved and Mewtwo was created (though the Dark/Shadow Mewtwo idea didn't really translate into the RPG.)

...Could Joker's crippling be "having a mental block placed that would, until Team Rocket is crippled by Ford's plan, basically prevent her from doing anything about SC Inc?"

(Or is John Ford behind this, basically indicating that even if I escape Joker I'm still not immune to the mind control?)

Neya Out.
-----
Um... I'm sorry, what? I'm confused -- I thought you wanted Joker to be a part of the Manaphy mission?

-----
I am confused too.

I wanted her to come when she goes to retrieve Silvermind. However, that's not what I'm saying: I thought you were trying to say that Joker was going to try to destroy SC Inc. My second thought after that was "what if it was all a part of Ford's plans and he would do the job himself if Joker failed." I was simply reacting to that, mostly because SC Inc. is the only non-Isshu organization that hasn't somehow been directly affected by Ford...and I shouldn't have said that....

I wasn't thinking about Joker's status in the actual mission in the slightest.

Also, now that I think about it...hmm...could Manaphy cooperate with SC Inc? I.E. in an exchange for creating a miniature Manaphy breeding grounds at SC Inc's base, Manaphy Prime participates in the events Carl has planned? AS I've developed Carl, I've been increasingly thinking about that it would be far more logical for Carl to not only bait Team Rocket grandly, but also get several weak Manaphy (note that they're still too weak to allow the "bloodbender" machine to work at full capacity, as they lack the key empowered Heart Swap component,) in the process. (Besides, it's a basically untapped legend source that doesn't result in any sociopolitical boundaries broken.)

BTW, about the other PM you recently sent back...I guess the whole thing is that the supergovernment of Isshu would probably, as a self-respecting first-world nation, have some sort of suspicions about how an alliance of three shadow organizations could basically create an instantaneous coup d'etat in three regions, have the governments of the various regions given to those three organizations, one of which had a criminal history (Team Galactic,) with the other two coming out of right field. Not only that, but this is in a region that has increasingly become known for capturing its own legendaries, some with the ability to produce world-altering conditions, and a power shift has occurred. In short, a government with over 10 legends on its side was unable to defend itself against a multiple coup, done in a day when it took TL 12 years to do one third of that.

In short, Team Rocket's power should be conspicuous enough by its absence to rightfully send warning bells to at least one nation.

(Also, the above was the primary point of the char. Meh, I'll just give Reyna a Dokkora and a Gochimu and call it a day.)

Neya Out.

-----

Kay, assuming I'm understanding this correctly...
"Try to destroy" is not the same as "will destroy." I have no plans for Joker to succeed in sabotaging or attacking Soil Colossus, nor for her to even directly attempt to do so, because by the time she will get a chance to try, she will have been forced out of Johto. Ford is not involved at all; he has not set anyone up to try and do anything about SCI. You have nothing to worry about. :|
... Does that address your concerns?

I suppose that would be fine, but I'm going to keep a sharp eye on it and there's going to be a limit on the amount of Manaphy you can get -- trustworthy as you may be, there's too much potential for abuse of that to let it go unwatched.

As for the Isshu thing... Alright; I really wish I could fully explain why the situation is how it is; I really do. Unfortunately, I can't, because that would mean giving out information on future events. So I'll try and explain it with what I can say.

Any normal first-world government would react as you say, with suspicion towards an uprising of such a large scale and in such a swift motion; I acknowledge that. However, in this case, the notion seems to be based partially on misconceptions. The Isshu government, for reasons that will be revealed soon (and as such will explain why things are as they are,) does not pay a lot of attention to the Rocket-controlled areas or business involving TR, at least as of late. However, that is not to say that they don't know about what's going on or about specific groups that are active -- quite the contrary. They already know about Ford's allied group; they've known about the plans for its formation for quite a while now. How will be revealed later.

Because of what the Isshu government stands for, and because they know that they have good enough technology to block the unlikely attack from Ford, they will not declare war on him when he rises, nor will there be a problem with Team Rocket losing control of its territory -- because TR, from what they have observed, treat Pokémon with much less respect than they do. It would almost seem like a cause for celebration to the Isshu government.

That in mind, one might expect them to send aid to TL; this is not true either. While the exact reason can't be said right now, it stems primarily form the fact that TL effectively encourages the use of Pokémon for war reasons, both from their very existence and original declaration of war and because of the fact that they have been recruiting legendary Pokémon to use against TR -- again going against what the Isshu government stands for. Not to mention that with the awakening of Groudon and Kyogre, which caused massive shifts in weather conditions, and the capture of Regigigas, which caused the Snowpoint avalanche, they are more or less viewed as terrorists themselves in the eyes of the Isshu government.

In short, because of the above reasons, they have no reason to be wary of Ford, as he will have effectively smashed both of the groups responsible for the majority of the mistreatment of Pokémon. Needless to say, there is a possibility that he may have collaborated with Isshu in doing this -- we won't know until we go there. If that is the case, then he seems to have left out the major details about the groups he recruited to his cause, otherwise they would take action.

Quite frankly, I think you're being a little hasty in regards to this. Ford hasn't risen up yet, and the Isshu government hasn't been looked into at all. I could understand it if you wanted to try and expose Ford's group after the fact, when you will at least have an idea of how Isshu would react, but as the case stands, you don't know right now, and things could be way different over there than what you'd expect. Once the true state of Isshu is revealed and you have more solid footing, then sure, brainstorm a plan to bring Ford down -- don't do it beforehand, though, because that takes away the fun of him rising at all as well as making it bland for everyone else who wants to help. =\

-----
Manaphy: Okay. I'll probably only have a few initially, and slowly build up. Any limits on Phione? (they're considered legendary, but honestly they're wimps, they don't even get Tail Glow...)

Okay. The thing about Ford is that you've kind of established he has a plan. It seemed weird that it wasn't involved somehow. In short, Ford is so good at his job that it's made me defensive about my faction.

Ah. Okay, I think I get what you meant now: Since Isshu tends to be a more pacifistic region about Pokemon as a whole and they have the technology (or at least they think) to beat Ford 1 on 1, they wouldn't care less if TR and TL implode. And TR can't bring it up internationally because TR tends to have the karmic status of a dictatorship, while TL can't bring it up for the reasons they have the karmic status of a terrorist group? Ah...I didn't know that. I assumed at the very least Isshu would get involved...somehow. Didn't know it was out of pacifism, heh.

Sorry for the haste: I like planning ahead.

Neya Out.

-----

I'll say a separate limit on Phione, since that's a whole other can of worms (an admittedly smaller can, but still another can.)

Soil Colossus probably will come to his attention later on; for now, they haven't, so they've caught a break (or a very unfortunate oversight; depends on who you look at it.)

Bingo. The other part of it is that secret reason I keep on mentioning, which will both blow your mind once it is revealed and make things 99% crystal clear, so stay tuned. And no problem on the hastiness thing. My apologies if my last PM sounded rude at all -- I wrote it up and didn't have time to soften it up before I sent it.

-----
Ah. Okay.

...Good. Carl has time to get Shinpora, Musharna, and Oobemu for his company...

...Does the secret involve giant Hihidaruma climbing onto the Empire State building while being shot at by Rotom Helicopter forme, Ononokusu rampaging through Hiun City, Shaymin Sky Forme empowered by the Chaos Emeralds fighting the Prime Manaphy who has flooded all of Hiun City except for the part the Hihidaruma and the Ononokusu are in, and/or three Meloetta in Step Forme powered by Chemical X fighting an unholy hybrid between an Infernape and an Oobemu? No problem on the rudeness issue.

(while Jaeda prepares to kill every single one of the best trainers in the RPG?)

Neya/Parugi.

Alright; after a bit of thinking I actually have a solution to this apparent dilemma that will actually allow things to continue as planned.

My original plan was for the AE to last long enough for the Manaphy mission to finish via my divine will, and then launch the attack during Goldhawk's Executive/Leader announcement. This would have made it easier for Ford to take over Johto and Hoenn, his primary targets because by that point Joker would have been injured and thus be easier to kill. As the Searchers are going ahead and attacking, though, I've made adjustments to the plan:

-This attack will aid a later attack in that the Alamo/Four Island will be damaged (though not destroyed.)
-A group of Energon agents will accompany the Searchers to take a sample of Mewtwo's power.
-Ford and TG will not participate due to not being ready.
-The second attack will be launched during Goldhawk's announcement about TL's new leader and executive, after the Manaphy mission ends.
-By this point, the modified Red Chains will have been completed and attached to the Searcher's Legendary Pokémon, increasing their strength.
-Mewtwo's power will also be used in combination with Searcher Orbs to carry out the Hoenn, Purgatory and Abyss invasions.
-By the end of this, Hoenn, Johto and Sinnoh will be under Ford's control, and the majority of TL and TR will have been forced into Isshu, as planned.

Sound good? This allows for the current attack to work whilst explaining why it's not the full-out attack that Ford has preached.

-----
That works quite well. I wasn't aware that we were waiting for the end of the Manaphy mission, though I probably just forgot, sorry.

Sometimes I forget that you have the power of Grandmaster Parugius.

I will stage the attack and withdraw, allowing your plans to be continued.

One question, who's going to be promoted? (Couldn't help but try to ask.)

Umm, I have a pre-plan for a new Searcher weapon called the War Hammer. Still in production, but I will tell you about it once I am done with the concept.

Parugi/Nuju Nui.

Looking over it, I'd like to join it - A darker version of the Pokemon universe seems like a fairly cool concept. I'd prefer not to read 200+ pages of content though - Plot summary?

-----
Glad you're interested! Yeah, I can see why 204 pages would seem daunting -- summarizing it is just as much as reading it, actually, but I suppose that's why the big giant summaries have fallen on me int he past... XP

[giant summary deleted by Necro during conversation, sadly. -Parugi]

Phew; lots of info! I'm sure there's other stuff I'm missing, too, mainly events regarding TR's Shadow Admins, but I can't remember them right now. DX ...
But yeah; hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea of what's going on. For more information, you can ask me, ask in the RPG topic or check out our (incomplete) Wiki -- in particular, the Wiki is only useful if you need to see someone's team or other information on them, since most of our background sections are a little unfinished. XP And, yeah, welcome again to the RPG!
-----
Will take a look at the wiki, as well as the recap, tomorrow - It's getting late, I doubt I'll remember any of it now. Before I read though, does it contain spoilers to any Diamond/Pearl? I never actually finished those, but I probably can in a few days if I have incentive to work at it, so I want to know before reading.

Again, thanks for the answers and the willingness to give such a big recap, looking forward to joining in.
-----
Alrighty; whatever floats your boat.

Spoilers... mmm... I don't think the recap spoils anything from Diamond and Pearl, no, aside from reiterating Team Galactic's main goal. Although, the status of their main leader, Cyrus, may or may not be a spoiler -- TBH I don't remember exactly what happens in the games, but in the RPG he's not in power anymore.

And yeah, it's no problem -- that's what I'm here for.
-----
Alright, so...yeah. Finished reading it, and I think I have a good idea on what's going on, but I'm going to need a little while to wrap my heads around 15 paragraphs of summary of characters I don't yet know. This is great for overall, but for now can I get a quick recap of recent events I should know to hop in, as well as info on big NPC's like Goldhawk, Ford, etc., prominent players, and so on?

Also, I think I've got a good idea of how and where I can jump in and get relevant quick. I need permission to make a big move, either control a character from one of the plots or control a descendant/successor/something of that nature, conversely, have control of a group from the games, and permission to take out a group that, to my understanding, is only comprised of NPC's, namely Soil Colossus. It'd be really great if I can get permission to own a Legendary off the bat(Yes I can justify it somewhat), but that's only if you're feeling really awesome.

Also, since I'm starting out after over 200 pages of content, can I at least have a full team of six instead of two to start off with, and have two or three of those evolved once or twice?
-----
That's a ton of information to send. XP I can't necessarily get to it tonight due to homework and other stuff, but I can certainly send you a PM with character details and current missions after school tomorrow.

I think I'm going to need some more specific information. Are you saying you'll need control of a new group entirely? Aaand by a character form one of the plots you mean someone like...? The idea might need quite a bit of modification, as most plots have been carried out by player characters, with only minor roles belonging to NPCs (aside from several of my plots, which have involved NPCs in major roles, but most of them are either incapacitated now or unavailable for use.)

On Soil Colossus -- that's actually one of the more.. ambitious of the three player-controlled groups (the other two being Team Energon and the Searchers) -- more specifically, it's currently under Neya's control, and is actually starting to grow quite a bit in power, so it may not be the best choice to go after quite yet (unless you can successfully come to a cripple deal in regards to it with Neya, though that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.)

A fully full team like that may be a bit overkill -- a couple of new players have recently joined with smaller and weaker teams and have been quite successful in their endeavors. If you insist, though, I'd be willing to approve a character with four Pokémon to start, with three of them being evolved and one or two being at their final stages (assuming those are three-stage 'Mons.)

-----
Tomorrow will be fine - I doubt I'll be able make the profile tonight. And to be specific, I want to have Maxie or a descendant/successor-person, control Team Magma, have them join with Team Liberty, and as a sign of favour, either have assorted Magma NPC's a take out the Soil Colossus forces holding Silvermind, or find the Manaphy offscreen, and deliver the captive to Goldhawk. And that'll be fine with the Pokemon to level things out.

-----

Ah; I see. Normally I would say no to adding another group into the mix, but that's because almost all of them have been anti-Team Liberty; as that's not the case here, I think I may just allow this one.

My suggestion for the Manaphy mission (as the sequence of events in it are already planned out and Neya might not like them being infringed upon, not to mention the fact that Silvermind's in heavy lock-down at SC's hidden base right now) would be to contact Neya and see if he wouldn't mind letting New Team Magma get in on the action towards the end (or maybe even the current stage) of the mission.
Personally, I think this could work well if TM attempts an attack on SC's base to get Silvermind but doesn't quite succeed, and then goes to Isshu to try and get the Manaphy, at which point they'd be able to join in on the fight that will be occurring there. Afterward, once Silvermind is given to either TR or TL and the TL agents return to Four Island, TM could come along and ally themselves with Team Liberty.

Of course, as I said, you should probably talk to Neya about it, since it's his group you'll be fighting and he has more in-depth ideas for the mission than I do. If you want, feel free to include my suggestion in a PM to him.

Also, I'll get to work on the character information now; expect it in a different PM.

-----
Alright, thanks. Will PM him now, as soon as I read over the character PM I'll get to work on the profiles. Again, thanks for all this.

-----

All approved.

Also, I have one question. Would Justin be able to register for Isshu Gym Battles? I assume the Gym Leaders in Isshu have not been forced to hiding..
-----
Yup, he can, so long as he doesn't try and recruit them to either side.
-----
I have a third character up for approval. I know his Pokemon are a bit overpowered, but I tried to limit the rest of them, to balance it. Also, Eric does have more Pokemon at his home, being a long time trainer. I don't plan to use them for battles, as most of them can't leave the water.

Looks fine. As a note, OHKO moves in the past have been shown to just do a -ton- of damage as opposed to being actual OHKO attacks, since that's cheating. tongue.gif

Username: Necro
Name: Maxie Kouen
Faction: Team Magma
Hometown: N/A
Age: Let's assume something around...48? Late 40's/early 50's seem about right?
Appearance: Everything's better with artwork. Especially official artwork. I don't think the aging would effect him
Personality: Tries to keep a lighthearted demeanor about himself when not on "business" matters, however doesn't always work, either due to an inability to treat things comically, or attempts that come off more disturbing than funny. When important matters come up though, he's cut and dry - serious, straightforward, focused, and at times dark, believing that, barring certain cases, the ends can often justify the means.
Background: After starting Team Magma with the intent of creating a better, more peaceful world via using Groudon to expand the world's landmass, believing he could use the methods prototyped by Giovanni, a 'mentor' of sorts, for greater purposes, and being beaten down and proven wrong by Ruby, Maxie attempted to right his past wrongs both by paying legally for his crimes, and by, once free, attempting to improve Hoenn however he could.

As time passed, he managed to repair much of the damage done to his name and group, albeit many still held a grudge. These aforementioned feelings faded in many when Team Rocket took over Hoenn, Maxie revitalizing Team Magma as a sort of underground resistance to the invaders. Although officially the group of his former idol had gained control of the region, Maxie and Magma, now comprised of more members than ever as it now also contained any civilians who were against Team Rocket and willing to take action as such, have fought unofficially and ununiformed against the group since their takeover, causing trouble in all manner conceivable, from simple confusing of grunts to attempted assassination of visiting Rocker leaders.

Now older, bearing the wisdom given by his age, and his mind clear of past mistakes, his two evident goals are simple - Take his home back, and end Team Rocket to end the conflict and cease the tarnish to Giovanni's name. These take precedence enough so over past bitterness that he's even willing to ally himself with Team Liberty, the same group Ruby aligned with, to achieve them.
Pokémon: Drago (Charizard), Mightyena, Doctor "Doc" (Alakazam), Ember (Flareon)

I feel like the Flareon may be pushing it - If so let me know and I'll throw it out for now, but I figured I've nothing to lose from trying.
-----
Yeeah, that's pushing it a little, especially since you're coming in with a new group right off the bat, Maxie's an official character and the other three are fully evolved.

Other than that, it looks fine.
-----
Alright then, I'll cut it out for now. Any chance you'd be willing to throw an Evee my way down the line if everything goes well with me and the RPG?

So, other than that, it's approved?
-----
Sure, I can do that.

And yup; go right ahead.

-----
Excellent on both accounts. Now I just need to finish working things out with Neya, and things can get rolling.

-----

Necro/Parugi.

Just FYI that I've handed control over Team Energon back to Umbra.

Also, someone's finally come up with an ally for Team Liberty. You probably know Necro, so I won't go into great detail about who the member was or why we should approve the idea, but he wants to bring Team Magma back as an actual ally of TL. After talking with him I've decided to allow this to go through (despite the too many groups thing; my primary reason for rejecting them in the past was because they've all been against TL. This one definitely breaks the trend; besides, Tl's going to need the extra support once Ford's plan follows through.) You'll probably start seeing traces of them in a few pages or so -- depends on when I get some things finished.
So, yeah, just thought I should let you know.
-----
Sorry, I've kind of dropped behind on reading peoples IC's and have skipped quite a bit... I have no idea who/what Necro is.. :S

However, a new ally for Team Liberty is exactly what we need. And it's about time! Maybe, if I ever get the Mask of Ice thing into action, he could act as an ally of Team Liberty. Mainly just due to them sharing a common enemy, the current Team Rocket. He could show himself as the MoI to Team Rocket and Pryce to Team Liberty... I dunno? Haha.
-----
You don't know who Necro is? As in the RPG Judge?
Alright, well, it doesn't matter, anyway -- the point is he's interested in making a new group for the RP.

Glad to see you approve.
The MoI idea sounds good (TBH I had forgotten you were even thinking about/planning it/already had it approved. XP) The dual-identity thing would be cool, too.
Maybe he could come in post-Ford takeover, if you need more time to figure out how to bring him in?
-----
Oh well now I feel stupid.
I know of him, but I don't know him. Haha.

Yeah, I still haven't put much thought into it. I like the idea of introducing him by having his Delibird deliver something to Sleight. A bomb and a message maybe?
-----
XD
Alright, well good to see we're on the same page now.

That could be interesting and/or fun. Don't plan on it killing him, though.
-----
Is he interested in joining?

Haha, I wouldn't dare!
Darn it, my plan of killing Sleight and getting Buzz to take over is foiled again! Back to the drawing board...
-----
He already has, actually; he's the one who's bringing the new team in (Team Magma remake, btw.) The only thing stopping him from posting right now is Neya, because one of TM's first acts is going to attacking Soil Colossus (finally!) They're working that out right now.
-----
Of course not.
(btw the pm box revealed ur hidden message. 8D)

-----
Fair enough!

Aw man, my secret plan to hide that my secret plan was foiled was foiled!

-----

Parugi/GLaDOS.

Figured I'd run this by you just to make sure everything's good.

--
You don't care who gets the Manaphy plotwise, as long as you get it, right?
------
Right. Carl eventually has to get it. I think I see where you're going with this.

Sorry the PM is taking so long.

Neya Out.
-----
Not a problem - So long as I can kick into the RPG with this whole thing, I'm fine.

So then, that being the case, with Parugi's permission, you would be fine with Team Magma finding it?
-----
So long as TL and TR get SOME participation, even if that's stopping TM from absconding with it. Team Magma would be a surprise to Manaphy. There are 11 people participating in this, I've kind of been bad recently at preventing slowdowns, and to steal Manaphy from them when the battle is probably what most people are looking forward to would probably produce a backlash.

Neya Out.
-----
Hmm...so then how do I go about getting my hands on it?
-----
...Quite possibly getting a Pokemon with Dive and conveniently entering the Ice Geode just before Manaphy turns the ice geode into a giant ripoff/homage of/to the fight against possessed Sluice from To Save the World. Both teams chase Team Magma as they get to Carl's base, with Manaphy in hand.

Good idea?

Neya Out.
-----
Pardon my ignorance, but as a new player, I'm unaware of what the Ice Geode is?
-----
The location Manaphy is in.

Neya Out.
-----
So basically, once one of the two groups finds the Manaphy, I come in and take it instead, and they both end up chasing Magma to your base?
-----
Yes. Both groups are actually searching together at once, I'm sorry if I haven't made that clear. (point is possibly to torture TR.) Team Magma is unaccounted for by Carl.

Neya Out.
-----
Excellent. Alright then, I'm going to give Parugi this to make sure things are fine by him and all that - Let me know once I should pop in, and tell me whether I should head to a secondary location in Isshu or whether or I should take it to the Hoenn branch.
--
Looks fine to me. I take it Team Magma doesn't actually know that TL is on the mission, otherwise they would realize that they're actually causing backlash against the team they're trying to help, right?

And to answer your other two questions:
-They just got to Huin yesterday, so judging from what I remember of the original Manaphy mission plan, it should probably be about eight to twelve more pages until they actually arrive in the Geode, give or take a couple of pages.

-Yes, I can and will be sure to let you know once the group gets to the IG.

And yeah, like I said, helping out is no problem -- it's what I'm here for.

-----
Actually, he's aware - Neya and I worked that out, and it'll be explained ingame.

Excellent. Again, thanks, and let me know once it happens.

-----

Necro/Neya, then Parugi/Necro following the second --.

*coughs*

Uh, I may be of assistance? I mean, if you don't mind if I do some self advertising....... xP

So Sinnoh has something going on. I'm running a pretty small plot involving a power plant failure on a route near Alamos Town (yeah that place is canon). The action'll kick up soon but it's nothing absurd compared to city-wide devastations that have occured before, so hopefully that sounds newbie friendly. =P And while there are going to be an antagonizing group, they're not related to any faction and will have little significance outside of this one plot. There's about three players on board the S.S. Plot, including me, but there's plenty of room for your character if it could work.

Also, there's gonna be a much, much larger scale event taking place in Celadon in the near future. Technically the Rockets will be invading, but I'm fairly certain the plot is open to characters of all factions (including two people who are actually Rocket agents =P), though a newbie might not have the most pleasant time during the actual battle.

So..... That's two things. You can choose to join one, or ignore both, iunno, your call, Otter. =P

I wouldn't be opposed to you joining Celadon, Otter. We're taking down a rogue Rocket agent and her army, so we could use all the help we can get. And I wouldn't let being new deter you from the battle, we'll work something out. Heck, our characters just discussed the possibility of recruiting Celadon citizens willing to fight for their city.

Heya Otter! I've been hanging out here. It's a pretty cool place all things considered. =P

Hmm...... Alright, for Alamos, yeah, it's definitely smaller than Celadon. But the power plant thing is really setting up for the main attraction, and there will still be cool stuff happening at the climax. Yeah, the villain is all original, but there'll also be a focus on canon characters (i.e. Alice, Baron Alberto, and others from Rise of Darkrai) being integral to the plot itself, and I'll do my best to flesh out their characterization while staying true to their roots. There's only three plaYer characters partaking in it so far but that means if you were to join, yojr character would have plenty of room to shine. Also, the antagonists planned will be.... Different from the typical villanous faction (PM me if you want the details)

Now, for Celadon, the whole thing is gonna be muuuuuch larger. There's also gonna be many more player characters involved, heck, the player characters present already outnumber the ones involved in the Alamos Plot twofold. The larger scale will probably lead to much more bombastic action and ridiculousness as well. But the larger jumber of characters would mean multiple spotlight scenes one after another, which can be both good and bad. Also, the antagonist is eam Rocket, but a rogue executive, so there'll still be something different about that.

Some one else could probably do a much better job explaining things (and might have already) but those are my two cents.

-----
Thanks; I'll update the first post in a few minutes.

Nah, not unless you want to. I have a feeling that, given some past occurrences in the RPG, if I were to list the unrevealed ones as well, someone would inevitably metagame to find them, so.... :3

-----
No problem.

Works.

-----

Nuju Nui/Parugi.

Hay. Eric's not been doing anything for... ever, so, I was thinking and I came up with something, but with further thought, I realized that it cannot be accomplished unless he's in Isshu/Unova (still getting used to it..), so on second thought nevermind.. Hum. What's Shaymin doing?
-----
I could give you permission to retcon him to Unova if you want...

There's a Shaymin with Kyle... Rogers, I think, played by Ikkad, Shadok's character Michael, and GLaDOS's Sableye character. Not sure where they're at right now.
-----
Eh.. My other two characters are there [stuck], so..

Hmm. What did you say Team Aqua is doing right now?
-----
Vell... Team Aqua was imprisoned and disbanded, last I checked; same with Magma, but someone is going to be bringing them back in soon enough, once the Manaphy fight starts (argh why can't it start already... DX Remind me never to approve something hugely big like this again without first establishing more people to spread it out on. >_>)

If you want to tackle some Aqua fanatics who are trying to remake the group, I'd be cool with that, so long as they don't succeed. :3
-----
Well, Eric did grow up in a water-based town, with only water Pokemon, so... :3

But where am I going to find the Aqua fanatics? The fanclub in Lillycove?
-----
Why, the world that feeds the world, of course.
Iunno. Maybe they broke into a jail and are causing a small riot as they try to get Archie out. The jail could be anywhere at all, and you could be teleported there by... some Rocket or Liberty teleporter. I forget, is Eric a Rocket or Liberty? If the former, great, cause it has already been established that they have those. Plus Aqua doesn't like TR due to the fact that they were decimated by them, so even more motivation for them to attack.
-----
Eric's a Rocket :U

So, it could happen, but there should be a failing result in the end?
-----
Pretty much. It doesn't have to be an immediate failure -- they could get away, cause more chaos for a bit, and then be brought down. I just don't want them running around for an indefinite amount of time and then become another big organization that thinks it's funny to make fun of TR/Sleight specifically, when it really isn't and they actually don't know what they're dealing with. :]
-----
Ah, I see. Were it to happen, who is with Team Rocket currently, that could blast holes in Eric's plans?
-----
hm... Well, Ethan's open, but he's more professional than his personality suggests.

Actually, I have an idea. Ethan's going to get arrested on his next mission, anyway, due to orders set by Ford; essentially, police are going to start secretly taking Rocket and Liberty agents and jailing them. Perhaps he could tag along, the orders are given, and then some of the guards attack Eric and Ethan (and probably Jamie, who is most likely going to tag along,) and in the chaos, Ethan is arrested and Archie and the TA fanatics get away?
-----
Sure, that works. Where should Eric be?
-----
Well, Ethan's heading to Abyss right now, and that's in Johto; I assume this is going to take place in Hoenn, correct?
It's up to you. Ethan's meeting up with Jamie at Abyss regardless of what happens, so Eric could either run into them there or we could meet in some city/town in Hoenn. Your choice.

-----
Hmm.. Let's visit Johto, none of my Characters have been there (or Sinnoh, for that matter.). Abyss, that's near the Lake of Rage? More water. Alright, I'll begin moving him.

-----

Nara/Parugi.

Alright, so you said no shiny Pokemon for capturing... But what's your stance on the shiny Beasts? In relation to a story arc of sorts that would happen after the New Leaders thing. Just curious there, and figured it was better to ask first.
-----
Still no. Neya wanted his leader Manaphy to be shiny and I didn't allow that, either. What you could do is slightly change their appearances so as to make them distinguishable from their generic forms, the same way the Ancient Darkrai have, but I don't want any full-on shinies in the RPG.
-----
*Resists urge to point out that that's pretty much what Shiny Suicune is* =P

I was figuring that I could have put a story twist and made them definitely one of a kind or something, just to have it have significance, since they likely have some ties to Isshu(And since the event beasts are shiny, I figured that was of significance too), but...
-----
Come up with a good enough explanation and we'll see.
-----
Is it possible that the change in colouration could be from leakage of energy or something like that? It would only explain those three if at all, and likely could have ties to a legendary Pokemon or so to explain why there's that power, but...

This won't take place for a little while yet, so I haven't hammered every single detail into place...

If it's really needed, could there be maybe one colour from the shinies that could carry over, along with a distinguishing physical appearance element? It'd essentially be a compromise of sorts.
-----
eh... Figure out where the energy came from and why it only affects the beasts, please.

I'd be fine with that, so long as it's not one of the bigger color changes from the shinies. Ohpuhwaiwow. I feel dumb now after looking at their shiny forms compared to the originals. Alright, I suppose this would be fine, so never mind what I said before. I'll let you use the shinies, but depending on what you're planning, they may or may not stick around after you're done with them. And I still need the explanation for the energy.

Also a disclaimer when you start using them that these do not mean that I will allow people to make a bunch of other Legendaries or regular 'Mons shiny -- only the ones that have specific storyline reason to be will be, like these ones -- would be nice.
-----
1. I'm gonna do that. =) I figure they might have been 'chosen' by whatever caused it, but I'm still working out the basis. So by the time this is anywhere near ready, you'll have the answer. =) I'm trying to think if it'll be related to the legendary Pokemon of Isshu somehow, but I again haven't planned that far. Illusion forest is likely to be involved in this storyline thing, since they appear to have the ability to minorly dispel illusions; if we go off only what we know of the Illusion Forest event now. So I'll likely work that in somehow.

2. Alright. =) I didn't really expect them to stick around after this anyway, but I wasn't sure how to handle that, but that part's up to you. =)

3. Yeah; I will. =) I was anticipating doing that anyway, just to make sure no-one misinterpreted it. =P

Thanks for this. =) This will likely be ready by the time Black and White release, so that gives some preparation time.
-----
1. Alrighty. Just let me know when you have it all figured out.

2. Depending on what happens, they'll either be sealed in another dimension or they'll just go back to Illusion Forest/the wild. Or something. We'll figure it out. XP

3. Alrighty.

Kay. Make you sure stick to that estimate. And just out of curiosity, this isn't another mega plot like the Silvermind thing, is it? (No, I'm never going to let Neya live these delays down...)
-----
1. Alright. =)

2. Sounds good. The Dimension idea might be good depending on what caused the changes. =P

4. I'll try to. =P And I don't think it will be; and if it is, it'll be my own unless someone wishes to join me. =P It'll likely be more like Det's plot than anything else; and definitely not a 'chase the leader around!' type of plot. =P Even if that is interesting. =P

But the rough idea is that at least Zach(Whoever else wishes to travel as well) gets a warning about Isshu, and needing to travel there. As he prepares to leave, he tours Johto until he reaches Ecruteak, and goes to the two Towers. In one of them, the three Beasts appears(Or at least Raikou). They explain a tiny bit more, but still enigmatically, and Zach heads to Isshu. ... And that's pretty much all I've got thought up right now; but I hope to figure out more soon. =/ But this will be independent from the Liberty/Rocket stuff. I'm gonna take advantage of you mentioning about the Isshu Gyms being open.
-----
2. Not to mention that it ties into another plot that I've been cooking up since... geez, virtually since the attack on Four Island, maybe even earlier...

4. Ah; alrighty. Just thought I'd check.

5. Sounds interesting. Can't wait to see what else will occur.

-----
2. Sweet; sounds cool. =)

4. Yep; no prob. =)

5. Me too! =P Still thinking it up, may take a bit of my B/W Playthrough to think more up. Helps if you have a feel of the region the plot'll be mostly in. =P

-----

Blade/Parugi.

Hey, me and my group were thinking that now would be a good time to start the Darkrai invasion, since the Silvermind arc is taking way too long. :/

What we had in mind was for the Darkrai to start their invasion with Hearthome and eventually all the regions. They would then cause chaos by controlling Pokemon to attack humans and trainers. It would change things up from this very long arc.

Another thing was the Void Towers, where the Darkrai gathered their energy. These would basically be the targets for other players while the battle against Sombra is going on. They would, of course, be aided by the Legendaries.

That's pretty much the gist of it, so if you have any objections, fine with me

psmusicalbattlewhatnow?

~Det
-----
Sounds fine to me; heaven knows we could use the energy. For realz, when something takes up over half of the RPG and halts the movement of the majority of the active players, there's definitely a problem. :|

So yeah. I say go ahead. Though I would suggest that you 1. make it clear that this won't necessarily prolong the Silvermind arc, because at least three people are going to misinterpret it as doing so otherwise, and 2. make it clear that groups -- I.E. Soil Colossus, the Searchers, etc. and not even Team Rocket or Team Liberty -- are not going to be able to just go in and clear up the situation extremely easily.

So yeah. Although, Umbra and Ecketzal, for example, already have something going on, so it might be wise to also clarify as to whether or not this is going to require everyone to sidetrack and deal with the problem before continuing with their own devices.

(I take it you'll be dealing with Sombra in musical fashion like you did with Shade?)
-----
1. I feel, if anything, it will actually speed up the Silvermind arc, since it will give some of the players incentive to hurry up and get Silvermind back so that they have more of a chance.
2. Why not show them how powerful they are by having them battle the Legendaries/attack one of TR's bases? Plus, it isn't just the Ten Darkrai, but they also have minions as well.

Fair enough. The invasion won't be instantaneous, but it will give the players time to do their thing before taking on the Darkrai.

(Nine can join in the song as well, since the song I'm thinking of has room for five singers. In fact, the song won't quite work as well without him)

~Det
-----
1. Alrighty, then.
2. Sure, and kay. As a roundabout, though, don't expect an easy fight form Bounty, either, as your last post seems to imply that he's going to get attacked soon -- he's TR's third strongest Admin for a reason.
-----
Alrighty.

Assuming that's code for "We'll need Nine later," feel free to temporarily take control of him at some point. Unless you want me to do his bit of the song, though knowing my nonexistent musical talents, that's probably not a great idea.

2. True, but that's why the third most powerful Darkrai is heading there

Actually, the song will take place in the finale post, so, not much to worry about

~Det

Hey... before I type a forever long message, would it be possible for one of my characters in the Pokémon RPG to, eh... capture and keep a lesser legendary? (like Raikou, or Zapdos or something)

Totally get it if No.
-----
Possibly; you've been a good co-host, so it's a definite possibility, plus I've already given Shadok a Legendary for a second character. May I ask why, though?
because I'm bored >_>
-----
It's the character that has no affiliation with TR or TL, so she's all unprotected and lonesome. ;_;

And huh? I was not aware of that. Had he not introduced it or something? He's gone now, though...
-----
Ariadne, Team Rocket's Deoxys, is the one he was using. I'm fairly sure that was publicly announced at some point.

And yeah, go ahead and catch one. Insert obligatory don't godmode warning here.

-----

My Raikou will have the power of Zeus.

-----

-----

HE WILL BE A GOD

A GOD AMONG MEN

-----

*grumbles about all his characters being trapped*

So, how long do you think this Pokémon RPG will continue to run? Do you have any definite end? It's still going strong, and even if the Liberty vs Rocket thing ended the RPG could probably still continue... I am curious for a number of reasons.
-----
By continue to run do you mean how much longer it will last? In that regard I don't know -- probably for a few more months. As for the story itself -- I do have plans for the end of the Liberty-Rocket conflict; as a matter of we're actually fairly close to that point, since it probably won't be long after Ford is defeated after his takeover.

As for afterward -- I'm honestly not sure about that. I had considered ending the game once the L/R war ends, but given the number of additional groups that have popped up and the inclusion of Unova, especially given the antagonistic stance that Team Plasma has been portrayed as having up til now, chances are that it'll just go on. Specific plot-lines have yet to be thought of, though.

Out of my own curiosity, would one of those reasons have to do with your own Pokémon RP? Since I realize I kind of stole your thunder when I first put ROTR up for review... :3

-----

No, it mostly has to do with character development ideas I have. My RP is still on the backburner, though. Not anywhere near completion. I'm still thinking of that Halo RP, too, but I can't figure out how to put my ideas into cohesive words. That's usually my problem. XP

But yeah, with Pokémon, you can just have it go on forever, or at least until players lose interest. I think it's going at a good pace now - not stagnant, but not too fast.

-----
Ah; I see. Well, that definitely takes a bit of worry off of my mind. XD
If you want any help with either, I'd gladly assist. Just throwing that out there.

And yeah, I see what you mean. Like I said, there are a ton of groups to replace the primary opponents once they become obsolete, so it's not like we'll be out of material to work with anytime soon. I'm thinking that after the Liberty-Rocket war ends the story reins will essentially be given to the players again (for the most part,) like it was at the beginning of the RP, since they'll actually have stuff to work with this time around. Unless it becomes super slow and doesn't really go anywhere again, in which case I'll think of another big story to replace the original, though if the players decide enough is enough then it'll be over, I suppose.
(Hopefully that won't be soon, since I'm still thinking of other RPG ideas for after this one ends. XP)

-----

I see there's a gym battle going on with Erika now. Is that the only battle I'm taking over for you?

-----

Bundalings/Parugi.

Is there anything major going on with Team Plasma? Like, story wise? Aside from them effectively controlling Unova's government. =P
-----
Not that I can think of off of the top of my head, no.
-----
Hmm... And you're sure they've rejected their old ways? Or just their public figure of that?
-----
Fairly sure at the moment. I can tell you that they have been using slightly dirty methods to keep word of the war from spreading throughout the region, though.
-----
Hmmm... I may have an idea. It'll likely need a ton of refining and such, but...

Oh, I guess it depends on who is leading Team Plasma currently. =P
-----
Top secret for the moment.
-----
I see. =P But, like, is it Ghetsis or anyone like that, or new members? That's basically all I want to know; old or new. =P If you can't say, though, I understand.
-----
I honestly haven't decided yet, but I have a couple ideas for whatever way I decide to go.

-----
Alright. Though, just saying, an all out raid on Team Plasma's headquarters, especially if it's the castle; would simply be awesome. Though that likely won't happen for a while, if ever. =P

-----

Blade/Parugi. Obviously, Plasma leaders have since been confirmed as the six remaining Sages.

During this arc of mine; is it okay if I use the Unova legendaries?(Reshiram, Zekrom, and maybe Kyurem)

If I'm able to; I'm gonna promise an awesome battle that'll follow through. =P They wouldn't be permanently caught or recruited to any side, however, unless there's no other takers for them.

Just want to check first, however.
-----
You can find them and have them battle, but those three, at the least, I want to stay neutral, since they have probably the least to do with the R/L war out of all of the legendaries.
-----
Fine by me. =P But... Neutral in which way...? Just wanna check. =P
-----
They won't participate in the war and they won't join any specific side.
-----
But could they be caught, provided that the trainer in question was not involved in the war? Or if they were caught, it would have to be temporary?
-----
Hm... By a normal trainer, it'd have to be temporary, probably, unless you gave a really good reason for it to be permanent, though if you're catching them for an organization that wasn't involved in the war, the normal rules would apply...
Are you catching them for Team Plasma or something?

Also, to answer your topic question, you can give White another Pokemon, yes.
-----
1. No, though it might be an idea. =P But it being temporary would be okay anyway, for the subplot. But that Team Plasma thing may be an interesting idea...

2. Okay; thanks. Just gotta think what it'll be. =P

3. Oh, by the way, do you want me to be Brock? I wasn't sure, after you posted last. << >>
-----
Eh, I don't care either way; the only reason I haven't continued the Brock thing is due to being busy and not having very many chances to post anywhere.

-----
Ah, okay, didn't know. =) Was just making sure. =)

-----

Blade/Parugi. Most important tidbit from this: Resh/Zek/Kyur could theoretically be recruited to a non-TL/TR organization.

Alright, here's my fourth character, Ariana. And as for a reason, I need to have another person at the head of the Searchers, one who can help me show the Searchers' tough and dark side. Plus, since I will be using her increasingly, I decided it would be a good idea to make her an official character. I will not have her battle except for in dangerous situations (she probably will in fights with the Ten); she almost always relies on her skills.
Username: Nuju Nui

Name: Ariana

Faction: The Searchers

Hometown: Pallet Town

Age: 32

Appearance: Ariana is a secretary cliché, her dark purple hair tied up in an elegant bun, rectangle eye-glasses constantly gleaming. She wears a dark purple dress that is sharp and trim, a business dress. She is pretty, and even beautiful; however, though she does make sure she looks nice, Ariana doesn’t really care how she looks when she is busy.

Personality: Ariana is the silent type, quick to take orders, and even quicker to carry them out. She has an organizational mind that’s sharp as a whip. Usually docile, Ariana can become sharp as a flint, tougher than even Lucia, when she is put up to something important. Ariana is an incredibly powerful trainer, but she is humble about her strength, and wholeheartedly puts her support behind Searcher.

Background: Born to humble beginnings, Ariana sought to become a powerful trainer when she was only eight. Her parents, who had always resented her for some reason, allowed her to go willingly. She never received a Starter Pokemon, but befriended a lost and hurt Absol who had been abandoned by its Trainer.

Ariana quickly grew in strength and power, her Pokemon unrivaled. She swiftly defeated the Pokemon Gyms and even won the Indigo League with the help of her fully assembled team of six powerful Pokemon.

After defeating Kanto, Ariana left for Johto, then Hoenn, and finally Sinnoh, defeating their Gym Leaders and Champions. When she reached Hoenn, she already had allied with an Articuno and a Raikou, and also befriended a Registeel. When she finally defeated Cynthia (after much training), however, Ariana vanished completely. Years later, she returned to the four regions with two Unovan Pokemon, though she kept them hidden.

Despite her power, Ariana was mistreated and wrongfully accused. Running from the law, innocent and hurt, Ariana ran into Wil Holtman, the new head of the Searchers. He cared for her as a brother, and the two became close friends. While on the run, Ariana learned how to survive and received extensive training under several master of martial arts, stealth, and assassination hired by the Searchers. She had an innate skill for these tasks and excelled.

Ariana, despite her tough exterior, is soft and gets sad easily. She relies on Searcher as her family, being forsaken by her own, who disowned her after she left Pallet Town. She fears for Searcher and will always protect him.

Pokémon: Registeel, Raikou, Samurott, Haxoruss, Absol, Articuno

I wasn't sure whether you wanted me to do all of the Pokemon Portfolios, or just some, or whether you wanted me to lose her Pokemon or something. She'll only use them a little.
-----
I suppose it'd be fine, though I don't entirely see the point considering she and the other Searcher moderators/admins/what have you are already technically your characters and can be used.

Although, I'd really prefer it if two of the three legendaries were dropped form her team. For one, I don't remember ever actually approving them, and two because, even if they aren't used that often, they're still a bit of an unfair advantage over other players, especially if she already has what is essentially a fully-evolved team.

As for Pokemon profiles -- I think those would be a good thing to fill out, just for good measure, yeah.
-----
I'll have two of the Legends leave her to follow Regigigas and Lugia, or something like that. Oh, and yes, you did approve them (though you were slightly vague); nevertheless, I'll get rid of them.

Anyways, profiles:

Species: Absol (Male)
Nickname: None
Trainer: Ariana
Appearance: Absol looks completely regular aside from a scar running across his face.
Personality: Absol is quiet and reserved, fighting for Ariana with all his heart. He is intelligent and has little patience for Samruott's playful attitude.
Ability: Pressure
Specialty: Absol is fast and strong, preferring to strike quickly with physical attacks to wear his opponents down.
Known Moves: Slash, Night Slash, Razor Wind, Swords Dance

Species: Samurott (Female)
Nickname: None
Trainer: Ariana
Appearance: Samurott’s horn is smaller than average, but none the less hard or sharp.
Personality: Boisterous and happy, Samurott has a positive attitude, caring deeply for her trainer and her fellow Pokemon.
Ability: Torrent
Specialty: Samurott is a good all-rounder, all her abilities about the same level.
Known Moves: Megahorn, Razor Shell, Slash, Revenge

Species: Haxorus (Male)
Nickname: None
Trainer: Ariana
Appearance: Haxorus is an average-looking Pokemon (for its species).
Personality: Not overly quiet like Absol, nor rambunctious like Samurott, Haxorus is happy and content, though he is easily riled and is persevering.
Ability: Mold Breaker
Specialty: Haxorus has a high defense, his armor stronger than regular. However, his speed and attack are lessened by this.
Known Moves: Scary Face, Slash, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse

Species: Raikou (He-Raikou)
Nickname: None
Trainer: Ariana
Appearance: The markings on Raikou’s body are more silvery than grey. Other than that, he is normal.
Personality: Raikou is tough and never gives up. Using his quick mind, Raikou spots weak points in his enemies.
Ability: Volt Absorb (On this, since there’s no PP, I decided not to use Pressure, unless there’s another effect of the ability?)
Specialty: Being on the Legendary Dogs, Raikou is naturally swift; however, despite Ariana’s training, his defense is still weaker than his other attributes.
Known Moves: Crunch, Discharge, Extrasensory, Reflect

If you want, I can tone down their strength by a wide margin, but of course that's up to you. Also, I only had Raikou's ability be Volt Absorb because Pressure is kinda useless. Of course, he could easily go without an ability.

Since I haven't used up my rewards for Jake and Jason, I'll put them toward Ariana.

Anything you to be added or removed?
-----
Those look fine; I don't mind the ability change for Raikou.

Although -- not that this really applies to anything since you got rid of two of the legendaries -- are you sure I approved three legends for her? I barely approved one for one of Bundalings characters, so I feel like a bit of misinterpretation may have taken place when you asked -- which is entirely possible if I was as vague as I apparently was. :3

-----
Most likely that it was a misinterpretation on my part.

-----

Nuju Nui/Parugi. Supposed the whole Legendary debacle doesn't matter a ton since Ariana was killed off during the Searchers' erasure.

I know recruiting Unovan Legends are off limits, but since Zac Flash doesn't seem to be on any faction right now, would you mind if he went after Keldo? Actually, didn't TL get the Genesect? So, what about Keldo? Since he's a part of the Musketeers, getting to him will probably be hard, but I'm fine with it.

Zac is about the ask the president of Silph Co. about Keldo.
-----
The Musketeers and the dragons are the only Unovan Legends that are off-limits at this point. The Musketeers won't listen to anyone who captures them due to their dislike of humans and the dragons are being protected by Team Plasma.

Any of the others are fine, though Genesect is limited.
-----
So does that leave Keldeo out? From his Pokedex Entries, it doesn't seem like it hates humans like the Musketeers.
-----
Mm mm mmm....
I suppose you make a good point; it isn't stated to dislike humans like the other Musketeers. So I guess while it could be recruited, it's every unlikely that you could do so without making the other Musketeers angry and having them come after you. That, and they'd probably give you Karzahni in your attempt to recruit Keldeo in the first place.

So, I guess... possible, but extremely extremely extremely difficult.
-----
It does seem like a lot of work. What if a group of 6 or so went after the three (so, 18 people), while another group went after Keldeo?Nevermind, that would be more work.

Ah well. I guess a Genie or Meloetta would suffice. On the topic of Meloetta, I assume there is only one, and it is (?) protected by Team Plasma.

Geez. Someone overthrow Team Plasma already >.>
-----
onononono, I can't see anyone being on-board for a massive mission to Unova again after the Silvermind Arc, at least for the time being. Even if they did the Musketeers, remember, wouldn't listen to their captors.
I should really add a guide regarding the Isshu legends to the RPG's first post...

Aaanyway, there's more than one Meloetta; they're based off of a Greek myth, from what I'm told, so following the pattern set in that, there are nine Meloettas. But yes, they'd be hard to get past Team Plasma, though they wouldn't necessarily be protected by the government; they're probably mostly hidden.

And on Team Plasma -- personally, I like them here; they add a new twist on the game, giving one region a different set of rules from the rest.
-----
Oh yeah. That did take a long time, didn't it? I mean, the groups would distract the three while the other would smuggle Keldeo out of the region. =P

So nine of them? Alright. Anville town? Or is that too tourist populated?

But yeah. Team Plasma is nice. I'd like to see what they're actually capable of, though. From what I've read, they did a good job at keeping the region in order, but I haven't really seen any conflict. What of N? Ghetsis? The Sages?
-----
Either way.

One at Anville Town would be one that is known by Plasma and as such would probably be watched. Feel free to go after it anyway if you want; it should prove an interesting challenge.

Once schoolwork settles down and I become less busy, more will be shown of Team Plasma. As for Ghetsis and the others -- Ghetsis, don't know; N is in some secluded place most likely; and the Sages are currently being discussed.
-----
Great. Anville town it is, then. I'd love to challenge Plasma

Actually come to think of it, what happened to Ghetsis? I don't remember what he did after I beat him... And, in the case of N, he rode off with either Reshiram/Zekrom, and since they are being kept by Team Plasma, I'd like to see how that works. And the sages were carried away by Looker; Looker's home region was Sinnoh, but he was in Unova at the time, so were they taken to a Unovan jail, or back to Sinnoh (In the case of Sinnoh, since it was basically ripped apart by Darkrai, they're either trapped or in another region now, right?). I ramble when I argue with myself.
-----
Like I said, the Sages are being discussed. Bundalings gave me a great suggestion in regards to them; we're considering it now.

As for N -- at this point we're assuming that he went off to live in solitude, and then was hunted down by Plasma and forced to release the unspecified dragon that he had.

And Ghetsis -- all we know for certain right now is that he's not with the other Sages. He's either in jail or he's in exile, or possibly dead -- he's undecided.

-----
Like to see how everything works out, then. I'll stop PMing/bothering you now

-----

Nara/Parugi.

Sooo do you need like, actual recaps or just a general idea of what people were doing?

-----

Largely what we were generally doing for ROTR, somewhere between recaps and general ideas of what people were doing for Day Run.

-----

k. That may take a bit, but I'll send a couple of recap messages before the day is up.

...

ROTR:

-Goldhawk is negotiating an alliance with Tema Magma on One Island,

-HJS League still controls Hoenn; Orange was investigating the group and a group of TL trainers, currently controlled by Konuju, were trying to get out of HJS's prison.

-Hoenn is still being overrun by the Darkrai, though at a slower pace then Sinnoh was. Nine isn't participating because he's providing protection to Pierce and the HJS and because he's going to deal with something affecting the dimensional fabric in Johto.

-Mewtwo2 and Quincy Adams are still battling in Johto; their fight is close to being finished. Also partially related, a group of TL agents including Zach Grey, Kyle E. and Sonja are investigating some dimensional disturbance for the She-Raikou before heading to Unova to go after Black and search for Richie. Jayron and Cyan, along with the original Mewtwo, are also working on trying to fix the dimension madness and stuff.

-Joker and Maddison Hayes are both up to unspecified plots in Johto and Unova, respectively.

-The Sinnoh Dragons and their Chosen Heroes are doing various things to prepare for the fight against the Darkrai. Seth, for instance, was just tested against Dialga and was shown to be able to channel parts of the dragon's power. He's also trying to work with the Searchers to stop the Darkrai.

-TR is still split over everything that's going on; with Bounty gone and virtually no contact from Buzz for a while, Sleight is trying to think of what to do right now. Likewise, Ford is gearing up for... something.

-To my knowledge, not much else is going on aside from all of that. Though fairly soon a lot of really big, new plots are going to start up, so I'd keep an eye out for them.

I'll get a DR recap in a bit.

-----

Okay-any good plces for Scott (TL base), Reyna (Johto, possibly headed to combat the Darkrai but not quite yet), and Victor (Unova-technically neutral but pro-TL) to get in?

(I plan on keeping SCI laying low until the Darkrai plot ends...I've had a bit more than I can handle with them.)

-----

Off the top of my head, not really; I still don't have a full bearing on everything that's going on right now, and the majority of the above plots, to my understanding, are being done by largish groups of people as is. So, eh.

One that does come to mind, though, is Minun's plot -- investigating James Pierce and the HJS League with James Arthur; iirc he said he'd be fine if other people joined him, but you might want to ask him. Other than that, I've got nothing for now.

-----

Parugi/Neya.

Lately I have noticed the Pokemon RPG has been slacking off. The page count is growing slower... Posts are very slow and infrequent at best... Things are not looking good for activity, and you know what happens when RPGs are not active enough...

*bum bum bum*

*dun dun dun*

SO YEAH...

It just so happens that dreary monotonous tone is the complete opposite of what I was aiming for.

*dun bum dun bum ba*

I am going to have some free time coming up and I have been craving the urge to RP once again. There is going to be a break in school and I can acclimate RPGs to my work schedule, and hopefully once I start school back up I can reintegrate RPGs, school, and work all in one time managed quota.

*dun dun dun*

You might be catching my drift by now, or you might not...

I'm heavily considering re-joining the Pokemon RPG and bringing back Gecynde.

Just wanted to give you a heads up in advanced, and if you can give me any important tidbits so be it.

I'll be floating around here and there, lurking if you will.

It might not happen until sometime around April.

-----

SISEN IS RETURNING!?

This is, quite frankly, the best news I've had all week. The only thing that could usurp it would be if I could get a gallon of chocolate milk right now, but that's not going to happen soo-

But still you're returning probably! I'm obviously looking forward to it--not only does Gecynde's return open up a load of new possibilities for what I've slowly been constructing with Kyle, but it also could very well ramp up activity again, and that would be great--especially since we've been going rather slow since the downtime, as you evidently could tell. =)

But yeah. Needless to say a lot of stuff has happened storywise, so I can't give you a full rundown of what to expect when you come back, but since I'm out of school next week I can write up a general summary of the largest events for you.

Also I'll have you know that you frightened me with this PM. I thought my RPG was being closed due to inactivity and I was like "nuuuuuuuuu!" I'm glad to see I was completely wrong.

-----

So... summary of the largest events that have happened.... GO!

Take your time.

There are around two to three other RPGs I'm getting back into so no rush.

-----

No rush? Good, cause I ended up having no time to write that giant summary over spring break... XP

I can at least get the most important information up; expect more to arrive in chunks.

Team Rocket

  • Team Rocket has lost control of both Hoenn and Sinnoh.
  • Bounty has seceded from Team Rocket.
  • Joker is building some sort of device underneath the Lake of Rage, for unknown purposes.
  • Sleight has assigned Sabrina, Lt. Surge, and Koga the job of becoming an elite strike team for TR, with the primary goal of destroying opposing groups and factions.
  • This stirke team has already managed to cause complete chaos in the revived Team Aqua's primary headquarters, and will soon finish dismantaling the team once again.
  • Honestly, there hasn't been a ton of TR activity, but it's expected to pick up in the future.

Team Liberty

  • Team Liberty has allied with Bounty's Secessionists.
  • Silvermind, who replaced Bluefalcon as a TL leader after her death, was captured by Team Rocket, then Soil Colossus, Inc. After avery long and very grueling arc, she has since been returned to Team Liberty with Team Magma's help.
  • Team Liberty has allied with Team Magma.
  • Blackskull was presumed killed by John Ford/The Shadowed Man/the guy who got Kyle shot, but has since been revealed to be alive along with Ethan Gold. Only Kyle Eston and the Unovan government actually knows this right now.
  • Eight agents were promoted to Executive positions. Among them were Jayron Aaron, James Arthur, Seth Vicens, and Scott Stone.
  • There is currently a very large group of primarily Liberty agents in Unova who are investigating 1. a series of dimensional disturbances, with the help of an extradimensional trio of the Legendary Beasts, and 2. the activities of a Team Energon agent named Black.
  • Kyle is also looking for Executive Richie Eston, who disappeared in Unova while investigating...

Ford

  • ... the activities of Maddison Hayes, one of Ford's agents, in Unova. She seems to be planning something big for Castelia City and Unova in general.
  • Along with this, she managed to very easily defeat Evan Tierra--Palkia's chosen hero--when confronted by him, and has not been caught.
  • Jame Pierce, another Ford agent, has been placed as the president of Hoenn, as the public head of the Hojohsin League.
  • The Hojohsin League itself is a coalition created by Ford by combining the powers of Team Energon, Team Galactic, and (before their destruction) the Searchers. Their aim was to gain control of Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, though there is little information as to whether or not they are still attempting to do this.
  • Team Rocket had released a large number of Unown on Johto, though these were sealed by Ethan Worth (TR) under threat of death by Quincy Adams (Ford agent.)
  • Quincy has since tested and taken another Mewtwo created by Ford's request. No one knows what his plans for it are, though no one else really knows that he has it.
  • Regardless of legendaries, all of the Ford agents--including Ford himself--have been shown to be extremely powerful, and should not be confronted directly or alone if discovered.
Ancient Darkrai
  • All ten of the Ancient Darkrai--which, since I don't know if you remember them, are a group of really really old Darkrai who were imprisoned thousands of years ago for attempting to overthrow Arceus--have been freed.
  • They have completely covered Sinnoh in darkness and are almost done doing the same to Hoenn.
  • Seth Vicens, Evan Tierra, and Kinali Prizak have been chosen by the Sinnoh Dragons as their chosen heroes. They are doing all they can to fight the Darkrai, though have not been able to yet.
  • At the moment, all but one of the Ancients--the Darkrai called Nine, who was not imprisoned because he left the others and has been working with Ford for the past few decades--are in Lilycove City and are fighting 12 Hoenn Legendaries--the Weather Trio, four Deoxys, three Latios and three Latias.
  • Throughout their shadow campaign, the Darkrai have been inadvertantly corrupting a small group of people--there have been five so far--with darkness. Nine has been secretly following them and taking these people into his custody, and as such he is the only one who knows about them. They will be huge in the future, as demonstrated by the fact that one of them completely obliterated Lavaridge City after the Darkrai left, with absolutely no damage to himself. The exception to the corruption thing is a man called Mr. Rage, who appeared from another dimension and proceeded to completely destroy Ecruteak City.
  • One of the Darkrai (not Nine) has been secretly working against the other Darkrai, though refuses to reveal which one he is. He has made an alliance with Bounty to stop their master, Ten.
Unova
  • Turns out that the remaining Six Sages are the leaders of Team Plasma, which is currently the governing party in Unova.
  • Their primary policy has basically been a Ba Sing Se--they've suppressed all public knowledge of the war in the Kanto regions and will punish anyone who breaks that silence. As a result, few people even know that there is a war.
  • Evan Tierra has joined the group and has been allowed to travel and utilize Landorus in his travels.
  • They are currently talking with Blackskull, Gold, another TL prisoner, and soon Kyle to discuss what to do regarding various things from the above lists.
Other
  • Kyle has been showing signs of either severe sanity slippage or severe depression, for various reasons.
  • There's been a lot of dimensional disturbances lately, and it's implied that some bad stuff will begin if it doesn't stop.
  • Team Energon was formed. Dunno if you remember them, but they're basically another faction that utilizes power-draining technology for their own purposes. Currently, they're attacking Jayron Aaron somewhere in the Sevii Islands.
  • The Omega and Alpha Deoxys have played pretty big roles--the former as a source of near-infinite energy for Team Energon, and the latter--the Deoxys Matriarch--was found, healed, and allied with Team Rocket. She is actually the one leading the attack on the Ancients in Lilycove right now.
  • In general, most of the current player action has moved to Unova to deal with Maddison Hayes and the dimensional stuff that has been going on there.

Hm... That's all the big stuff I can think of off the top of my head, and most of it is pretty much recent, so it shouldn't be difficult to jump back in. Once I can recall more of the things that took place in the last thread, I'll send another infodump.

And once again, glad to know that you're coming back!

-----

I'm going to have to absorb that and figure out what to write up for Geycnde's away/return. That's a lot to sink in and.... Sounds like the baddies have us outnumbered.

-----

All righty; take your time. =)

It's actually not that bad. Team Liberty has the largest number of active members right now, and in terms of who has been getting hit the hardest by the Darkrai, Team Rocket has actually lost more resources and people than anyone else has. The biggest threats--Ford and the Darkrai--are threats to everyone, and even then there are events going on right now that are going to severely weaken them soon.

A lot of the other bad groups--Team Energon, the Searchers, Team Galactic, Team Aqua, etc.--are basically nothing more than villainous groups that you would find in a TV show like Ben 10 or Justice League; they aren't really much of a threat.

-----

Are we allowed to use Black/White pokemon? Didn't see it listed skimming. Could be where Gecynde was all this time maybe? Unno.

-----

Yup; they've been allowed for a while.

That could work--that's where most of the non-NPC action is taking place, anyway. If you would like a list of the various groups, there's:

  • Kyle in Black City, who is currently in Plasma Castle on his way to talk to the Six Sages. Blackskull, Ethan Gold (that is, Ethan from HeartGold/SoulSilver) and another "currently unknown" (to everyone but me) agent are also there.
  • In Striaton Town there's a group of about... oh gee, I think like ten people at this point? Sonja Baron (me,) Orange (Blade,) Zach (Blade,) Evan Tierra (Alku,) Alex (Ajad Prime,) Ryan (Konuju,) Ellen (Konuju,) Justin (Nara; inactive,) and Thomas (Uber Bunny, also inactive.) I guess technically speaking Gary/Gareth (JC) is also in the group, but he's off talking to Prof. Fennel right now.
  • Balta's character Jotham is in.... a forest near Undella Town, I think, and heading toward Black City, IIRC. And actually... hm. This might be a great one to jump into, come to think of it--Balta's new and hasn't had a ton of interaction with anyone yet; his character is neutral for the moment but wants to join Team Liberty; and he's already on his way toward Black City.

So yeah. Feel free to take your pick. If I had to order my suggestions for which one to consider, it'd go 3, 1, 2--that middle group is big enough as is.

-----

OMGZ SO MANY PPL MUST POST WITH THEM!!! YESSSSSSS!

Well, if you want a reason for Celadon, Elijah's from Viridian, which is near Celadon.

That said, Celadon is the finale of a plot that's been going on for about a year (slowly but surely), whereas Alamos is just beginning. However, my plot isn't the only thing that'll be happening in Celadon, because Celadon is a happening place. Celadon will let you jump straight into the action (with a bit of prep time as we wait for the right timing), whereas Alamos will have you follow the plot from the beginning, which from what I understand is a bit of a mystery/thriller.

Gee, I started this post supporting Celadon, but now I'm almost leaning toward Alamos being the better choice. =P Ultimately up to you, of course.

Mmm. I think I'll go with JiMing's thing in Alamos, then - I always feel weird when I join an RPG and I jump right into something big that's going to be happening, especially considering how, if it's going to be the conclusion of one plot, then I'll just have a dearth of usable information on it for myself. Starting in the smaller plot that's just beginning will at least make me a little more able to know and follow what's happening. xP

Behind the Scenes: Unova Arc Edition.

Quick question... Is it possible that Gym Leader Pokemon could have more than 6 moves? Maybe state the difference is due to better ability to focus; and that by training to become a Gym Leader, and becoming stronger and more proficient in fighting alongside Pokemon, they're effectively able to 'unlock' the natural locks that exist to prevent the Pokemon from overwhelming themselves? Since the Pokemon would be required to have great stamina and so?

-----

Nope. Because then I could use that as an excuse to give all of my Admins and Executives more than six moves, and that wouldn't be fair.

Also, just to point out, the first gym of a region is relative to where you start out. Someone who started in Nimbasa isn't going to go to Striaton Gym first.

-----

Maye it could be a League-approved thing, though. And we all know that the Kanto regions haven't had much focus on that recently. =P

Was mostly just an idea, though; mostly so that I don't have to keep track of what moves are used with the Gym Leaders, and honestly, there is kinda prior art for it... *coughanimecoughmangacough* But, your reasoning makes sense. Unless it was something secret that only the Gym Leaders themselves know of. ... But, then, that would still make things bad, because of the Kanto leaders... Hmm...

Well; I'm trying to figure that out; if you mean my most recent post, I was meaning that it was literally the first approved(Going off ancestor clause here, and saying that the Three Brothers had ancestors that owned the gym earlier. =P); though... I'm half tempted to have the others be so powerful that they'd need to go to that gym first. =P If only because they lose to the others. But either way, I'm more or less being enigmatic about that. =P

-----

Still no. One of the big things that people were pushing for when I was putting the RPG together was a move limit, and that's not something I want any exceptions for. If you want, I can keep track of whatever moves you have them use.

See, that's another point. Suppose I approve this and Gym Leaders are no long restricted to the move limit. That means that my new team of Rocket Shock Troopers -- of whom Sabrina, Koga and Surge are a main focus -- are going to be ridiculously hard to stop once they shift focus to the players, because they'll be able to pull literally anything that they want to for their Pokémon. It gives an unfair advantage to characters who already have power advantage.

Common theory says -- due to my point -- that Gym Leaders rotate their Pokémon based off of how many badges their next challenger has. Otherwise every single trainer would have to have come from Nuvema, Pallet, or any of the other game-starting towns. So I say go with that.
Although if it's a purely chronological thing -- "Our family was literally the first to establish a Gym" -- then never mind. xp

-----

1/part of two. Wait; I'm not trying to say there shouldn't be any limits at all; just expanded limits. Like, say, 8 moves instead of 6. I probably should have explained it better, but... =P

2. That's true, and one of the things that is making me worry a little, too. =P That's probably better suited to something that doesn't involve the Gym Leaders so heavily. Was just something I wanted to ask about, however. =)

3. a. Well, that's true, but theoretically you don't need to be from that city to make a challenge; you just need to trek there. Otherwise, we'd only have one badge in all our games. =P However...

b. Yes, it was a purely chronological thing. =P More or less just flavour text to show that there is actual history to the region. Though, the claim is probably rivaled by Opelucid's gym, but I'd say it was slightly second to Striaton's gym. =)

4. While we're talking about this... Is it possible to heavily damage a location, so badly it can't ever be rebuilt, for one reason or another? Including, theoretically, a town, or section of land? </has evil plans>

5. Also, what's your opinion on the new Kyurem forms?

-----

1. Mm. Still no. :3

3a. Not what I'm saying. It doesn't make sense that you would have to go through the gyms in a specific order, because of how dangerous the roads get the further through the region you travel. How do you expect to get from Opelucid to Striaton with only your starter, fighting against the large amount of high-leveled Pokémon that tend to congregate in northern Unova? The rotation theory makes the most sense, regardless of what the games would indicate.

b. kay.

4. Already done with Mr. Jogger and Lavaridge. Although if you're planning that for a Unova location, then expect a lot of backlash ICly -- especially if and when the damage gets traced back to Black.

5. They're pretty cool, and I think the fact that Nintendo is finally making a direct-sequel set of Pokémon games (specifically the hand held, main series ones) is freakin' awesome. Although I don't expect them to show up any time soon in the RPG, at least not until more information is given for them.

-----

1. Thought so. Well, was worth a shot. =P Can you keep track of moves, though? ... Wait... Is it possible that some people can effectively be walking move relearners? Like, be able to effectively switch moves out; as long as it was outside of battle, and took a little while to do? Probably not for PCs, but...

3a. True. Was more curious on your take of that idea than anything. =P Though, theoretically, man-made transportation could be involved. But I doubt that cop-out would be appreciated, though the Battle Subway is kinda already established to run toward certain locations. =P

4. Even worse than that. At least Lavaridge can probably technically be rebuilt eventually, even though everything was destroyed by the attack, and the volcano probably erupted. Also, surprisingly, though I'm still working on this idea, since I more or less just thought it up, it probably won't be Black's fault. Shocking, I know. Basically.... I plan, with one of my characters, somehow... To destroy the entire section of land that Nuvema, Accumula, Striaton, and Nacrene is located on. Whether it be by something fragmenting the crust that the towns are built on, destroying the connection to the rest of the land and then doing that, or some other idea. I essentially plan to drop that part of land. And yes, that would be a huge game changer, and would make everyone very annoyed at whoever directly caused the event.

Thing is, that might not happen until, like, the second part of the arc. And I might just have an idea for the guy who's behind everything, though the revelation of everything probably won't happen until the destruction occurs.

Basically, I just wanted to pitch that idea to you, especially because it's such a huge change, and would have a lot a repercussions.

5. I agree there, very much. Wonder how they'll handle the sequel stuff, though... As for the Kyurem forms... *Whistles innocently as I hide my new plan for the Legendary Dragons fight* ... Though, at the rate we're going, we likely won't even get to the Dragon Fight until the details are further announced anyway, so I probably don't have anything to worry about. =P(Though, we technically already know some things, thanks to hidden data from B/W...)

-----

1a. Yeah, no problem.

b. potentially... I imagine a Move Relearner could do that. xp

idk. If it were done sparingly, then probably. Maybe. I don't know.

4a. You know... it never actually occurred to me that the mountain most likely erupted as a result of that... X3

b. .......
o_____O

yeeeeah....... if it's not at Black's hands then that means it's 66.66% likely that it's going to be due to either Orange or Zach. Which means a war between Unova and the Kanto regions is very likely to occur.

Essentially, this is going to make Plasma very mad on top of what I have planned with Hayes.

Hm.... I like this idea. Provides a nice prelude to everything else that is going to happen after the Shiny Beasts. Send me a message with the full plans whenever you figure them out so that I can decide on whether or not to approve it.

Alku would also like me to pass on his kudos for coming up with this idea. If done correctly it could be a very nice addition to the game.

5. Perhaps. Perhaps not. We shall see.

although wait what what hidden B/W data?

-----

1b. Ooh. Say, that gives me a question. Can PCs ever learn to become Move Relearners? I don't honestly think that's ever been touched on before.

4a. I see. =P Well, either way, the town can probably be rebuilt, since, you know, it didn't sink into the ocean or anything. =P

b. Yep; shocking, told you. =P

c. Actually, Orange is technically a Unovan citizen... if it was him, he could just claim that he was acting as a Unovan spy inside the Rocket order. =P But yes, I hadn't considered the possibility of more war. Ooh boy; this really is going to be interesting. xD

d. Plasma's gonna be mad regardless of who blows up part of the region, or if it blew up at all. Given that pretty much a good portion of the powerful trainers in Unova will essentially perform mutiny to save the region. Since, you know, an outsider will be considered to be 'chosen' and all. =P

e. Alright. I'll have to refine it a bit, since I just realized that more of the place is attached than I thought; but I can work something out. =) Shouldn't be too hard to sink part of the region. =P

f. That's pretty cool then, and I think it will be. Definitely would cause a lot of different stuff to happen. I'll say this, though, whoever does pull this off, will be guilt ridden for a looong time. =P

5. Yep. Again, it all depends on whether it takes us about 3-4 months to get to the fight. I bet yes. =P

Basically, Kyurem had two hidden moves(Or, rather, there were two hidden moves, and Kyurem was the only person who could logically learn it, like V-Create with Victini, before Victini with V-Create was officially announced). I'll try and find the name of the two of them tomorrow, but it can be found on a certain site involving a certain Japanese named event legend. =P Plus, I heard something about a Kyurem alt-form placeholder in the B/W data today... But I hadn't heard anything about that earlier, even if it was very obvious. =P

6. Also, while we're talking about major plot stuff... What's the morality and legality of experiments of humans, involving stuff like, say, genetics?

-----

1b. If you can provide a comprehensive and sensible explanation for how the profession works, then sure.

4c. True -- except they would know that he was lying. Considering the fact that Plasma is the government. And they have records.

d. True. Though don't expect mass opposition to Liberty and Rocket people becoming the chosen one/calls for war against them, considering they aren't very well known around Unova and thus there's not a lot of bad blood toward them...

Government censorship. Gotta love it.

e. k.

f. Do I smell character development!? OMG

5. Eh, who knows?

I see.

6. I don't know; essentially the same as real-life laws, I guess. I'd rather not get into that topic, though -- too controversial, and it'd most likely be considered political discussion by the staff.

-----

1b. I'd definitely have to think about it. Would 'Sensible' not involve psychics or Pokemon Whisperers at all, then? =P

4c. Yeah, true, I really should've worked on his backstory earlier, so that this wouldn't be as big a problem. =P

d. Oh, not expecting that, more Plasma's gonna do what they can to stop the 'chosen ones' from saving the world, as they don't believe they're really chosen, and that the Gym Leaders and the League are just full of hot air. =P But yeah, censorship really does help stop stuff like that. But more or less, it'd mostly just be a huge case of 'who can play behind the scenes better'. =P

e. Though, theoretically punching a hole in the middle of a land, while fragmenting the only other part of the land connecting it to the mainland would have a very good effect of taking out a good chunk of Unovan land. Especially if the process of punching said hole fragmented the rocks at the bottom of the ocean that held up the rest of said chunk of land. Since everything would effectively collapse in on itself.

As for the how, I'm thinking either Legend Power, Legend Power but resulting from a clash between legends and being sent to an entirely different section of land than being fought in, or... Something else. =P

f. Very likely. Definitely is a good idea to start off the second part of my idea(Where the enemy shifts from Black to the one I keep being enigmatic about), with this. That way whoever manages to destroy part of the region has some time to maybe pull himself together to try and fix things... But, will likely fail to stop the war that'll probably outbreak. =P In fact; probably everything after Castelia will result in tons of character development... In fact; not even that; during Castelia. =P

5a. True. =P But really, we only have until June anyway, so four months isn't that far away, and as they'll likely reveal more stuff beforehand, like they did with Ram/Rom...

b. Yep. But, of course, that's only two moves. Any appearances beforehand would probably just be 'ROAR LOOK AT ME I'M AWESOME AND I CAN OBLITERATE YOU WITH JUST A STARE ROAR'. =P

6. True... So, I guess that means human/Pokemon hybrids are out? Fair enough, was just a wild idea anyway. =P I'm not gonna ask about element humans either, that probably doesn't fit at all here. =P

-----

1b. Considering psychics exist in this world, that would not be far-fetched.

4c. Indeed.

d. Okay; that keeps things consistent.

e. Save this for when you have everything thought out...

f. Indeed. As Alku and I have discussed, Castelia is going to be a rather... touchy time for a lot of people because of just how massive Hayes's influence on the area is going to be. And I will be very unhappy if the events there only end up causing character development in Evan and my own characters, :3

5a. True.

b. Quite.

6. Human/Pokemon hybrids are a HUUUUUUUUUGE no, be they actual hybrids, humans that can transform into Pokemon, humans that die and become Cofagrigus/Yamask, etc. Just no. The only exception was Sabba the Sableye, and the only reason that happened was because I was under the impression that he was just a Pokemon that could talk. >.>

And Aura/Psychic wielders are as far as I'm willing to go when it comes to humans with elemental powers. Unless they're being directly influenced by gods/god equivalents. Like the Creation Trio's chosen ones. And the shadowy people.

-----

1b. That's true, very true. =P

4c. Either way... Things will change from saving the world, to stopping a rather massive way; very quickly. =P

d. Yep. =P I wasn't really planning on involving civilians. Which is why White is actually Liberty, but she's actually mind wiped, but wait, she's also part of Plasma now. =P So technically, there's no true 'civilians', as there's Zach, whose part of Liberty, Orange, part of Rocket Separtists, Black, part of Energon, and White, part of Plasma.

e. True, true. I'm mostly trying to throw ideas to see what sticks. Though... What if there was a giant robot under Unova? =P(No, I'm only partially serious; look at a map of Unova, study Castelia, and then follow that upwards.)

f. I'm going to assume that all that's a secret to everybody, but; will there be any explosions, or will Black have to help there in order to try and cause some of my ideas to be fulfilled? =P But oh yes, there'll definitely be a lot of character development there. Given that I'll reveal pretty much all the connections except for who White really is(That'll be saved for later, given that she'll miss all that fun. =P), and will even have a kinda-not-really disney death.(Though, in my defence, it's more getting lost after an attack. =P)

5a. Again, I don't anticipate us getting anywhere near that point, especially if all the gym stuff takes this long.(It won't.)

b. It might tie in somehow, to other things, though.

6a. Fair enough. Again, it was more just me being curious. =)

b. That raises an interesting question, actually... Would the Ram/Rom/Rem trio classify as that? I'm simply curious, since, well, they are uber powerful and all. =P But yeah, that's what I figured. =)

c. Anything else you would definitely not allow? Just before I step on stuff that's touchy, like the hybrid issue. =P

-----

4c. Yup.

d. oic.

e. nah.

f. My prediciton is confrontation; confrontation; revelations; Heroic BSODs; battles, battles; tough decisions; explosions; Heroic BSODs.

And yes, it is a secret.

5a. I hope not... :3

b. Indeed. We shall see.

6b. Not really. The Ancient Darkrai and the Creation Trio all affect aspects of the universe itself -- time, space, dimensions. The Tao Trio doesn't.

c. Off the top of my head? No idea. i suppose anything that would turn Pokémon into zombies, werewolves, vampires, or other mystical creatures like that without the Pokémon already being based off of it. Anything that permanently affects types that isn't simply being turned into a Shadow Pokemon. Other than that, it's trial and error; ask me when you think you want to try it out and I'll make a decision -- I don't have a list of everything that I want to keep out of the RPG. X3

-----

4c. Err... Massive war; not massive way. =P

d. Yep. Which'll make any captures when Nara actually gets back to RPing even more intriguing. =P

e. Okay. =P Just recalled that the middle section of Unova looks like a right arm, so that's the only reason I asked. =P

f. Pretty much that. =P Maybe having the first Heroic BSoD be optional, since Orange's been having suspicions of who Black is since everything was mentioned, and Zach outright knows who he is... But, when Orange's identity is revealed, surprises may occur. The second one isn't optional, though. =P

Thought so. =P

5a. I'm hoping not too. xD Main reason it's taken so long, is the whole writer's block during the initial tests... But, since it shouldn't take nearly as long for the later tests...

b. That's me being enigmatic. aka, I might just tie that into how part of Unova gets miraculously destroyed. However, I'm not fully certain on the reasoning of how. I'd say that manipulation is involved. Manipulation, revelations, and overall destruction.

6b. True. I guess the Tao trio just has uber elemental powers and a way to seemingly absorb others/take on their form, in Kyurem's case. =P

c. Alright then, all that looks fair enough. =P I'd wonder about 'Light Pokemon', but that's not even been contemplated in the main storyline, so I don't mind it not being a factor at all(And I have no clues on how that would work anyway. xD). I'll think over different things, and try to figure out if they could work.

7. Suppose something was revealed that made pretty much everyone in this current arc(Or, at least, my characters, with optional opt-in somehow) be connected through deceit, lies, and manipulation... What would the general reaction from you be? =P(It involves the backstory I've been establishing, and will directly lead into the destruction arc, yes. =P)

-----

4c. Yeeeeah.... kind of figured that. x3

d. Yep yep.

f. Hence it being a prediction. Frankly there's no way for anyone to know how anyone is going to react because it hasn't happened yet.

5a. Maybe make the future tests less... manga-like. I feel like that would help.

6b. I feel like the form copying is limited to Reshiram and Zekrom's forms.

c. k.

7. Don't know what you mean. Elaborate. :3

-----

4c. Yep. =P Late night typos, FTL. =P

d. Course, that's another variable. =P

f. True, true. Well, except for my character's reactions, for the most part, since I'm trying to think it up... But, of course, that's not including anything that happens differently, so... =P

5a. You mean like not fighting off tons of enemies at once, like the first and third tests of Striaton? Yeah, definitely planning that to not happen. =P That was not the best idea, in retrospect, if only because it took so much time... But, the next test at the least should work better. Still not sure how to handle the third gym's tests, though.

6b. Well, yes, that's what I had meant, I just neglected to further explain that. xD

7. Let's put it this way... Two characters should be dead; one was saved by pure coincidence of being away from the place at the time(Or, was it simply just as planned...?); the person I just mentioned memory locked the other person who supposedly died, but that wasn't until a little later; the person's been directly influencing Black; the person's also been influencing some of Zach's actions, but the majority of that won't happen until later on; Person will also directly cause the destruction arc to begin, and will become the new target to try and stop everything from happening.

Basically, he's been manipulating this entire situation from day one. All in secret.

-----

4d. yehup.

f. Still not set in stone, though. *shrug*

5a. That and ninjas and pirates in a restaurant-based gym... :3

6b. Glad we're on the same page.

7. Hm.... no idea. I'll have to see how everything plays out; I'm not good at predicting my own reactions to big things.

-----

4d. Yep. =P

f. True. =P

5a. That's mostly just because the leaders themselves are dressed like that too. I just forgot to mention that in my descriptions. xD But yeah, I would've worked that in better, but, well, you can't do much involving food, test-wise. =P I'll definitely be avoiding that, though. xD

6b. Yep. =)

7. Fair enough. =P Not for a while, anyway, though. Haven't figured out where the whole fight should be, though...

-----

5a. ohokay.

7. Well, if it's going to be a massive fight involving the dragons, then I think Dragonspiral Tower would be a good choice. Or, if you want it to be somewhere closer to the landmass that's going to be destroyed, then have it at Black City; nothing's more ironic than part of the region getting obliterated from the center of its own government.

-----

5a. Yeah. I'm guessing that at least for the moment, it's like one of those themed restaurants you sometimes hear about. Like the ones in those commercials about credit scores or something. =P

7. Hmm... Both ideas are very tempting for me; especially since the Black City fight would work so well. Maybe... Maybe there could be twofights...? One fight, at Dragonspiral, it gets interrupted before too much of the fight occurs(And before all the dragons show up, to boot. Specifically, Kyurem. =P); Black gets arrested, and the others a pat on the back, grudgingly, but, after Black's taken to the headquarters, Zekrom makes a surprise reappearance, and pretty much starts to destroy the building; so Zach and the others, who had hitched a ride simply so they could investigate the potential new gym locations or something, help fight. Fight occurs, stuff happens, part of Unova sinks due to manipulation, and PLAAAAAAAAAAASMAAAAAAAAAAAA is mad. =P

-----

5a. I see.

7. Yes. Just... yes.

-----

5a. Just, without the singing. =P Which, now I realize, would have been very funny. Well, too late now. =P

7. Perfect; well, at least now we have the rough idea for how that works. =D Wait; maybe... I think I have an idea for why Kyurem doesn't show up. Roughly how long would it take for Plasma to get across the region, from Dragonspiral to Black City, in their fancy cars? And comparatively, how long would it take for someone to cross the region either through maybe the Entralink somehow, or a lightning fast legendary beast?

-----

5a. naw, would've taken too long.

7. Let's see... we're talking about a region roughly the size of the US because I'm deciding to do that right now, so
TP: Several days
Entralink: Dunno.
Legendary Beasts: Several hours.

All of that is subverted by the fact that one can simply teleport from place to place in a matter of minutes or seconds given a teleporting Pokemon, however.

-----

5a. Yeah, true. =P Would've given Chili more chances to tell the others to shut up, though. xD

7. Hah, true. Almost forgot about the fact that half my characters have Teleporting Pokemon. =P But, that would bring up the question of how Plasmaaaaaaaa can teleport, with multiple people, and keep a prisoner imprisoned who has control of a great power, all at the same time. =/

But, that more or less might work. I think I can handle ways to work that, anyway.

8. Quick question, about Blair, Whitlea, and N. We'd been talking about them being at the Battle of Castelia City.(Though, whether it's a battle or a massacre has yet to be seen. =P) Would it be possible that the Legendary Dragons are somehow brought into the fight to attempt to stop it, but even they are somehow damaged enough, so that they revert to their stone forms? Or even, say... drained enough?

-----

7. By using multiple teleporting Pokemon? :3

8. At this point it doesn't seem like there's going to be a good way to bring them in, unless Black is going to do something big that'll attract attention -- such as start a riot or something. What's planned with Hayes isn't something that's going to attract a lot of attention or cause a massive skirmish -- it'll be, essentially, her against the members of the Shiny Beasts groups who aren't busy trying to warn and evacuate the city before she sets off what she's got planned. Because they'll be the only ones who actually know what's going on by that point.

It'll be a busy time. I would wait until it gets closer and you have a better idea of what's planned before trying to bring in more people, especially if you've already got a couple of big fights planned for them. Otherwise things are going to get convoluted and won't work as well.

As for getting damaged and reverting back to stone form -- that could certainly happen, yes, but I can't imagine it happening in Castelia.

-----

7. Point taken. =P

8a. Aka, the bombs. =P But that makes sense; though. Black would probably only help fight the group; though I'll probably have him collapse at least one building, if only to have what I'm planning happen.

b. True. But honestly, I don't have many plans for them, aside for the fact that they'll more than likely going to be unconscious for at least the first arc, due to transfer of the Legends being a requirement. They'll probably get better in time for the Destruction arc to start. =)

c. Alright, fair enough. Maybe there'll be another fight in Nimbasa or so. Still got another gym to get through, though, so it'll take about 20 more posts at the least to get to Castelia anyway.(I'm factoring in travel time from Striaton to Nacrene, and then from Nacrene to Castelia. And, of course, about 3 or 4 posts for the Gym Battle, which'll only have a simple test, one that is meant to expand Zach's psychic capabilities.)

-----

8a. I'd actually forgotten I'd told you about that... XP

Yes, the bombs. Essentially, by the time the Hayes battle starts, it'll be too late to get help from N/Blair/Whitlea and Team Plasma will be too busy evacuating the city (with the help of... say... whoever isn't fighting Hayes.) Not to mention they'll be in a building, so there won't be room for the dragons.

b. K.

c. Not counting everyone elses' posts? ;3

-----

8a. I forgot you'd told me about it too, until I was looking to see what the virtue for Kyurem was. =P

Ah, I see. That makes more sense, then. But yeah... Though; we could probably have them have cameos, flying over the city. Maybe make it be enigmatic; like, say, only having N show up, and describing him mysteriously.(Though, really, who has long green hair in the Pokemon series, minus a long haired Cilan? =P)

b. Yep. Kinda disappointing, as they'd be pretty cool, but I guess that's what the Destruction arc's for. =P

c. You're right. Make that 40 posts. =P I was only counting our posts for the 20. xD

-----

8a. lawls.

Maybe. Unless they're comatose/incapacitated already, as you implied. Idk; I'd be fine with one, and I'd even be willing to write that as part of the explodey post.

b. Yepyep.

c. Right... xp

-----

8a. Which is backed up by the fact that I asked what Maddison's plans were not long ago, when I already knew, but had forgotten. =P

I don't think they are yet... But, by the time this is beginning to start to shift toward the big fight, they definitely will be, and I again think maybe by Nimbasa. Maybe N tells Whitlea and Blair, and begin to head there, and Black triple drains the Dragons... And since they'd be drained, in mid flight... They transform into their Stone form in mid-air, and nearly kill the three of them from the drop. I'm thinking it's at that point that at least Black and Orange grab the two main dragons' orbs, but I'm not too sure how the God Stone ends up with Zach... Maybe it blends in with the surroundings too well, somehow. =P

But yeah, having N see the destruction, and then call 'someone' and telling them that they need to meet up at Nimbasa would be good foreshadowing.

b. And potentially another arc after that, but that requires getting to the Destruction arc sometime this year in the first place. xD

c. Though, we at least have Alku as well to help move stuff along. =D

d. Quick question. Did we ever actually figure out who each had what dragon? Like, does N have one of the dragons based on Black or White, or does he somehow have Kyurem? Grey would've been nice to help settle this, but eh, Black/White 2 is even more awesome, so I don't mind. =D

-----

8a. ah.

I guess we'll see how things play out.

k.

b. eh..... don't focus on Unova too long, otherwise there's going to be another Manaphy Arc situation. Plus there are other things that are planned that people aren't going to want to reschedule. :3

c. yup.

d. Blair has Zekrom, Whitlea has Reshiram and N has Kyurem. That was established during the downtime. :3

-----

8b. Well, I think at around the Destruction arc or later, it'll span pretty much both Unova(n regions) and the Kanto regions. And, well, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people abandon the group during the transition, when one of the group manages to destroy part of the region. xD Plus, technically part of that was because the person running it disappeared for long periods of time... I'll try not to let that happen, since, when I'm on, if others are willing to IC as well, I'm very active. =P

c. Yep. =P

d. Ah, I see, that kinda makes sense, I guess. =P

-----

8b. Well.... Don't be surprised if attention also gets diverted to other things that are going on. Quite a few big plots are going to be starting up/continuing in the next few months, and a lot of them are even bigger than this.

-----

8b. I understand that. I pretty much expect it in some cases. If I need to, I'll probably continue it like how Umbra did his arcs, and maybe move some of my own characters to the main plot again after the transition to the Destruction Arc, but, I'll probably try and keep it going as long as I feasibly can without running out of material. =P

-----

Alrighty; sounds like a plan.

Other than that, we'll just have to see how things go.

-----

Yep, more or less, that's correct. =)

Just to say, though, I intend to have Zach thrown off Dragonspiral. =P

-----

Ouch. Though I know of worse things that are planned.

-----

Worse things? =P

And you'll see what happens, it's hard to explain without giving away too much. =P

-----

Yup. Which you shall see. Just as I will see what happens with the tower. =p

-----

True, true. =P

How far will your worse thing be from here? Mine will be right before the huge dragon fight(Err... The second one. =P), so... =P

Also, mind if I take a wild guess as to what that flatlining meant? =P

-----

Well, there are actually several things that are going to happen, and they're spaced out. One of them is very near, though.

Sure; I'm curious as to who you think has died.

-----

1. Oh boy, that doesn't sound good. =P

2. Richie, much to Kyle's dismay. =P Either way, I bet that Kyle's not gonna be impressed at all. =P

-----

1. indeed.

2. Oooh, so close. But no.

-----

1. *Sees comment below* Ooh boy.

2. Uh-oh. That does not sound good at all. At all. Guinevere(Or however you say her name)?

-----

Gecynde? Nope. That's what Alku thought, but I won't touch another person's character even if they aren't in the RPG anymore. [NOTE: Not true.]

So no.

In general, though, it is only going to affect Kyle. If that gives you any idea.

-----

1. Okay, I didn't think so, but I wasn't... Certain... Wait...

2. Okay, two guesses... 1, Kyle's mother(Dunno if she was ever named, or if she's even still alive before this)... Or 2...

Kyle himself, in some odd way, like that clone guy switching places figuratively?

The last guess is probably way off base and totally wrong, but I figured it was worth attempting. =P

-----

TL doesn't clone humans, so no, it's not Kyle... xp

Anyway, I'll guess we'll see who it is....

-----

I'm guessing cloning in general isn't possible, though? Going off that whole discussion we had just finished? =P(Also, I was more meaning the whole shadowy person that keeps showing up, not a literal clone. =P)

Yep. Just like you for who manages to start a war. =P That's more likely to take longer to happen, though, I bet. xD

-----

It is possible, otherwise Mewtwo/three and Jamie Arthur wouldn't exist. But that shadowy guy isn't a clone, no. Ever notice how no one else ever gets a chance to talk to him or see him?

Indeed. X3

-----

1. True, true. Almost forgot about Jamie. =P And also true about the shadow guy, but again, I more meant how he seemed to have Kyle's appearance in the last time; I meant more he might try and take over Kyle, if he's some sort of sub-conscious alter ego. =P

2. Yep. =P

3. Is it possible for me to have a clone have been created in the past(Before the story started, aka, backstory. =P), though?

-----

Mm. I won't say anything more on him.

eeeeeh....... if you can go into elaborate detail about just how and why said clone was created, by whom, how he had the materials to do so, then I guess so; otherwise it seems too contrived to me.

also tell me why you need a clone now? :3

-----

1. Okay then. =P

2. Maybe, I know who, but... That might be a spoiler for later stuff, since, well, Mr. I'm-Behind-Everything is... Well... Behind this. =P I'll have to think about the rest of it, though.

3. Something that happens in Castelia. =P It'll likely only be very useful for a little bit, and would be an NPC, so if you want to just go without that, I wouldn't mind. =P
-----
how did I miss and not respond to this...?

3. After thinking about it, I really feel like it would be a better idea to not create a Zach clone, if it's only going to be as temporary as you're implying. Considering all of the other stuff that we've discussed, adding a random clone--and, actually, the ability to make such a clone--on top of everything else that this guy can do most likely won't be seen as very cool to most of the other players, especially since Behind-It-All-Man is already going to be appearing out of left field.

Just my thoughts. You're free to do whatever you choose. :3
-----
True. =P Well, more or less out of left field. Two of the major players already know who he is, after all. I'm gonna let you guess as to Mystery Man's identity. =P(He's a character that should be dead, according to some flashbacks)
-----
Blade/Parugi. This PM conversation went for two and a half pages.

Bonus:
Just a question, do you want to IC the inactive characters heading off, or should I? I kinda forget what Thomas' personality is like, since it's been so long, though I recall the Deoxys' personality. =P
-----
Don't really care either way. Although you do tend to seem to have more time to post than I do...
-----
True, true. =P Also, quick question, would you mind if I created some sort of character to either give the Kanto regions in general some more activity, or some places in Johto some activity? I'm thinking either someone for Abyss, or a just plain neutral person, but given I have plenty of those, and currently no true Rockets... =P
-----
Sure why not.
-----
Alright, I'll get on working on that character, while I post to move along the Unova group. =)

Also, just curious, what sort of ranking system do the Rockets used? Might help to spice up the character's bio. =)

-----

Honestly--I haven't figured that out. I know it goes, so far, Agent>Maybe something else here?>Executive of A/B/C/D/etc.>Shadow Admin.

Aaand that's about it as far as the main organization goes. Militarily-speaking, I'm following the standard, U.S. army ranks. And for everything else... Basically just whatever I decide to use. xp

-----

So, say, there could be ranks like Colonel and such? Good to hear. =) He wouldn't be executive ranked, but more of elite or so? He would be primarily stationed in Johto, though, I think.

-----

Fo' sho'. Although I would probably lump him into the military in that case. *shrug*

Granted, now that I think about it, TR is basically a military government... but still. Maybe follow CIA ranks for the main organization and the U.S. Army ranks for the TR military.

-----

Well, I was thinking he'd probably be part of the military portion; though he'd end up helping do some of the jobs of the normal agents, since he is a PC, after all, and will end up getting into things he never expected to. =P

I'll PM you the profile when I finish it, due to having just made the last post in the topic. xD

...

Username: Blade

Name: Colonel Jasrich Curfour
Faction: Team Rocket
Gender: Male
Hometown: Snowpoint City
Age: 32
Appearance: Jasrich has long blondish brown hair that goes to about his shoulders; it is not known why he keeps it so long, however. Jasrich has red eyes, and wears glasses, that he sometimes pushes further up his nose when he makes a sarcastic comment, which is quite often. He also typically wears a blue jacket with a black shirt underneath, and black jeans. His boots are the normal black colour, but has a bluish-color of metal to act like a steel-toed boot.
Personality: Jasrich is very sarcastic. That is made very obvious once you get into a conversation, as he tends to tease people often, and use sarcasm to describe different situations. However, in battle, he is merciless, and appears to lack morals. However, sometimes, he might let an enemy go, either because a teammate wishes it, or for some other reason that only he would understand; potentially related to his past.
Background: Jasrich was once a fairly normal kid in Snowpoint. He was known to be smarter than most kids his age, however, and began to experiment with different methods of technology, such as improving the quality of healing items, and working on TMs. However, one day, one of his experiments went horribly wrong, and fatally injured one of his old Pokemon, a Gardevoir. Jasrich tried to heal her with a modified Revive, however, it has been said that that somehow went wrong. Since then, he traveled to Johto, and after the Rocket takeover was beginning to occur, joined up with the Rocket military, and advanced through the ranks quickly, after a number of years, eventually reaching the rank of Colonel that he is at now.
Pokémon: Male Ampharos, male Joltik, male Psyduck

Species: Ampharos
Nickname: Indignation
Trainer: Jasrich
Appearance: Ampharos appears to have red eyes.
Personality: Ampharos is scarily similar to Jasrich, possibly due to having known him the longest. He has some morals, however, unlike Jasrich's total lack of morality. He is named indignation, because jasrich was reminded of himself.
Ability: Static
Specialty: All of Jasrich's Pokemon specialize in Special attacks, at the cost of their Attack.
Known Moves: Thunder, Thunder Shock, Power Gem, Growl

Species: Joltik
Nickname: Phoenix
Trainer: Jasrich
Appearance: Joltik appearrs to have red eyes.
Personality: Phoenix is... Very odd. He appears to have a fear of females; as he scurries away whenever one tries to approach him. That said, he's getting better. He is named Phoenix because Jasrich was reminded of someone from his past.
Ability: Compoundeyes
Specialty: All of Jasrich's Pokemon specialize in Special attacks, at the cost of their Attack.
Known Moves: Electroweb, Signal Beam, Electro Ball, Discharge(Not as strong)

Species: Psyduck
Nickname: Radiant
Trainer: Jasrich
Appearance: The Psyduck appears to have red eyes.
Personality: Radiant, aside from having many headaches, is very arrogant, and acts like he had been spoiled by the group of Pokemon he had been with earlier. However, with that said, he is not overly fond of killing people or Pokemon, though will do so if it is absolutely necessary. He is named Radiant because Jasrich was reminded of someone from his past.
Ability: Swift Swim
Specialty: All of Jasrich's Pokemon specialize in Special attacks, at the cost of their Attack.
Known Moves: Soak, Water Pulse, Water Gun, Disable

I pride myself on being able to match up each Pokemon to one of the Tales of the Abyss male Main Characters. =) I'll try for the females for his next three Pokemon, too. =P

-----

Full steam ahead.

-----

Alright then. =) When someone posts next, I'll introduce him, and put the profile into the topic. =)

-----

Blade/Parugi. Colonel Curfour never actually made it into the game, to my knowledge.

Happy New Year, everyone!

When I heard of the (surprisingly short) downtime BZP had a few days ago, I decided it was time to start backing things up so we didn't lose stuff like we did in the old topic. So over the past few days, I backed up every post we made in 2014. I thought it would be fun to look at a few statistics of what we did in Rise of the Rockets in 2014.

We covered 49 pages in the topic on BZP, which translated to 1224 pages when I copied everything into Microsoft Word.

We wrote a total of 1919 posts, which included 210 OOCs and 2517 ICs. In total, we wrote 472,880 words.

Number of posts per person are as follows:

  • Blade: 678 posts (35.33%)
  • Konuju: 408 posts (21.26%)
  • JiMing: 378 posts (19.70%)
  • Minun: 109 posts (5.68%)
  • Parugi: 78 posts (4.06%)
  • Sonyaxe: 75 posts (3.91%)
  • Ehks: 72 posts (3.75%)
  • Alku: 65 posts (3.39%)
  • Flipz: 22 posts (1.15%)
  • Mr. Peanuts: 13 posts (0.68%)
  • Caboose: 12 posts (0.63%)
  • Detranix: 7 posts (0.36%)
  • Constructman: 1 post (0.05%)
  • The Otter: 1 post (0.05%)

(Note that this is all based on the Central Time Zone, since by the time Otter made his post it was already 2015 on the east coast.)

I had wanted to get some statistics for which characters were IC'd the most, or maybe some average count of ICs per post, but it would be impossible to get completely accurate numbers without manually going through all 2517 ICs.

A rough estimate gives about 302 Zach (Hikari) ICs. However, I also counted 153 Olivia ICs, plus 153 ICs labeled "The Seatons." If you count the Seatons ICs as ICs for Aspen, Dahlia, and Olivia, then Olivia had 306 ICs, pulling her ahead of Zach. :P For the record, it looks like Colette might have come in third with 268 ICs, but keep in mind these numbers aren't as accurate as the other numbers, nor do I have statistics for every last character.

And that's all the statistics I've got. Stats for previous years will come once I manage to get those backed up as well. Here's to hoping 2015 is even better than 2014. There's some exciting things planned, and I am definitely excited for it.

Cheers.

Hahahaha I cheated the system and came out on top with ICs for a single character! Where's my gold medal?

Yay I came out third in terms of posts! Where's my bronze medal?

So..... In the infinite words of wisdom from the Hoovy Heavy, Blade is the most credit to team there is? =P

Haven't seen one of these in a long time...

I'm a bit surprised that I had so few posts compared to almost everyone else, but . . . Eh, those behemoths didn't write themselves. :P

Anyway--more behind the scenes stuff:

Hey, I'm not sure if I sent this to you or not (my PM box implies that I haven't,) so if not I would like to seriously apologize for how late this recap is--I promised it a few weeks ago, but ended up getting busy with school, and then the forums went offline and it's just been hectic ever since.

If you're still interested in joining RotR, I have a fairly in-depth summary of what all has gone on recently (compiled from things sent to other people/posted in the topic,) and I'm trying to get all of the veteran players to help out in creating an overall summary of the RPG from start to finish. While we're putting that together, this should make jumping into the current stuff fairly easy.

  • This strike team has already managed to cause complete chaos in the revived Team Aqua's primary headquarters, and will soon finish dismantling the team once again.
After a very long and very grueling arc, she has since been returned to Team Liberty with Team Magma's help.
Currently, they're attacking Jayron Aaron and other TL agents somewhere in the Sevii Islands.

Also:

  • Lavender Town: Gavin Braner, Zac (zacax's character) and Chaz Cobalt (Paragon's character) are investigating a string of kidnappings/disappearances in Lavender Town. Gavin has abandoned Team Rocket and the other two are either members of TL or neutral (I forget the specifics.)
  • Team Aqua has been shut down at this point, with Archie dead at Sabrina's hands and virtually all of his men killed by Team Rocket agents or the escaping prisoners, including TL agents Lark, Jennifer Lorne, Hex, and Tim. Those latter four are looking for TA's Lugia to steal for TL.
  • The Legendaries in Lilycove (four Deoxys, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, and six Lati@s) are fighting nine of the ten Ancient Darkrai right now. Bounty is headed there to assist them.
  • Zach is being tested by the Gym Leaders of Unova for some sort of reason that Blade needs to remind me about.

As for specific groups to jump into, there are three major ones in Unova, where most of the action is taking place (This list is also from a PM I sent to someone else recently):

  • Kyle in Black City, who is currently in Plasma Castle on his way to talk to the Six Sages. Blackskull, Ethan Gold (that is, Ethan from HeartGold/SoulSilver) and another "currently unknown" (to everyone but me) agent are also there.
  • In Nacrene there's a group of about... I think like ten people at this point? Sonja Baron (me,) Orange (Blade,) Zach (Blade,) Evan Tierra (Alku,) Alex (Ajad Prime,) Ryan (Konuju,) Ellen (Konuju,) Justin (Nara; inactive,) and Thomas (Uber Bunny, also inactive.) I guess technically speaking Gary/Gareth (JC) is also in the group, but he's off talking to Prof. Fennel right now. UPDATE: Thomas and Justin have been left in Striaton; Seth has joined in Nacrene; Gareth is up for debate and depends on what JC wants to do with him.
<-------I suggest this one if Balta doesn't mind.

Outside of Unova, your options for jumping in are really limited, boiling down, basically to either joining Gavin's group in Lavender Town; joining the prisoners in TA's base; or coming in somewhere by yourself.

Once again, I apologize for sending this so late, and if you still intend to play in the RPG, I look forward to seeing you around.

-----

Parugi. Whoever this was sent to is listed as a "deleted member", so I don't know who it was. But there's some pretty convenient plot summary stuff, up to a point.

I was going to post this in the RPG, but I wanted your opinion on it.

Username: Alku aka Hades
Name: Klim Prizak, also known as Kinali
Faction: Neutral
Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto
Age: 17, due to being in the Distortion world, after escaping Shade's shadow prison
Appearance: http://www.majhost.c...inalibattle.jpg
Personality: After being imprisoned by Shade, Klim has changed a lot from the fun loving Trainer who followed Evan Tierra.
He now acts with a lot more seriousness than Evan, but still has a bit of his go lucky attitude.
Background: Klim "Kinali" Prizak, after escaping the prison that Shade made for him, trained himself in Giratina's world, where he learned the true extent of his power. Now he seeks to reunite with his fellow Heroes of the Creation Trio.
Pokémon: Dusknoir, Rotom, Froslass, and Mismagius.
I'll get to moves later, sir.

Alku

-----

Looks fine to me.

-----

Alku/Parugi.

Quick question, I forget if it's been asked before, but what's the status of Ghetsis in RotR? Or will we have to wait for more details, just in case something happens in B/W2?

-----

Unless B/W2 says otherwise, he's in jail.

-----

Before I ask anything further(Like staging a prison break), I have a question, are you trying to avoid B/W2 spoilers? =P Mostly so that I know what not to bring up. =P

-----

I honestly don't really care. :3

-----

Well... It looks like Ghetsis escaped. Again. =P So a prison break might not be needed... (Major B/W2 spoilers ahead)

However, some... err... Intriguing details about the Kyurem transformations were revealed. Looks like both Kyurem and Zekrom/Reshiram are required. But Reshi/Zek not in the way one would expect... Kyurem, err, eats them in the Stone forms, apparently. ._.;

Also, maybe some of the arguing Sages could be influenced by Ghetsis again, since they obviously have different plans than each other? It'd not obviously be Ghetsis who's suggesting things, not even obvious to them, but...

-----

Well... that's interesting. So he escapes at the end of these games, is what you're saying?

In that case, he's still in prison in RotR. 8D

As for the Kyurem thing... that can be retconned. Easily. We're not 100% following any medium, remember? This is me officially saying that they can merge together at basically any time. Problem solved.

Nah. They don't trust him at all after everything he's done. Their differences are just standard political divergences and different personalities.

-----

1/2. Yes(So far, people haven't gotten that far into the post-game, seemingly), and hah. xD Makes sense, though, he could still be captured. =P

3. Alright then, that makes sense. They can still split apart, though, of course. Poor naive N, though. =P But okay; that works; Ryan/Black'll still lose his 'borrowed' Zekrom eventually, though. =P

4. Ah, I see. No hopes for a RotR Neo Team Plasma then, I guess. =P Just wanted to check on that one, since some apparently do join back with Neo Team Plasma in BW2... Or, so it seems, at least. Maybe Ghetsis recruited new people. =P

-----

Indeedly.

Right, right...

Yeah, I think after beating Ghetsis down and with the amount of effort they've put into quelling Rocket-Liberty knowledge, they would've taken care of Neo Team Plasma pretty quickly.

-----

1. I can work on that, though... Where's the prison, Black City? =P

2. Well, earlier than expected, I should say. =P

3. Makes sense. Well, after the initial rise of Neo Team Plasma; if we're assuming BW2 took place in RotR.

-----

Sure. Hadn't set a specific place.

... Noo.... We're assuming RotR takes place 20 years after B/W, so it would be 18 years after B/W2. Two year gap, remember?

-----

Ah, okay then. =P

Ah, hadn't known if we'd decided on that, or 18 years after B/W. But 18 years would be plenty of time for Good Plasma to rise, and quell knowledge of the Kanto War, and stop Ghetsis once and for all. =)

-----

Yeah, that was established as far back as... B/W's release, actually. XP

-----

Oh, I thought we had decided on BW happening two years after the start of RotR, my mistake. ^^; Remembering things wrong right now. =/

-----

hm... that might've been the case, actually...

regardless, 18 to 16-year gap between the current events of RotR and B/W2.

-----

Either way, it fits. =)

Did you hear about the new champion...?

-----

Indeed.

And yeah, I did.

-----

Yep.

Didn't really expect her. She's really taken a level in awesomeness since B/W. =O

-----

inorite? Quite surprising.

-----

Yeah. I was wondering why Drayden was the sole Dragon Gym Leader. =P

-----

Yeah. Kind of odd, considering in... White, I think, he was retired. Eh. *Shrug*

-----

He probably came out of retirement when Iris got a mass promotion. =P

He's still six feet under in RotR, though, even his protege surpassing him can't stop aging. No matter what Ash thinks. =P

/EDIT: Though... This DOES explain the anime, a bit.

-----

Probs.

And indeed. Times 2. XP

-----

Definitely. =D

Game's definitely interesting, though.

-----

[Parugi Note: Insert long discussion about the wait between BW2's Japenese and English release and then a discussion about Ash's tendency to lose to new trainers here]

-----

Blade/Parugi. Also, notes regarding Drayden being dead can be dismissed, as it was never officially decided until Opelucid, where he appeared alive and well. #LivingSkeleton?

I was thinking the device that Black used caused some change in the Tyranitar; hence the glow. This wasn't made by Black, obviously, to get that out of the way first. =P

Here's what I was thinking. This was made by someone who's been doing research on the Legendary Dragon Pokemon; someone who knows about their history, about the fact that they can merge, and about the fact that they can revert into a stone form. Therefore, the person made a machine, that would slightly up the power of the Pokemon it's used on(There's some basis for this, with the Achroma machine, though I can't really say that in-topic, due to BW2 spoilers), and alter the energy if only a little slightly, so that it can hit the correct wavelengths, in order to turn the Dragons back into their Stone form.

I might've described the scene a little oddly, with it sounding like they were sliced in half, but most of it was that the beam hit, the wound began to dissolve back into their stone form, with the rest following shortly after, and that was repeated for the other two in rapid succession.

Basically, it's a mix between how the DNA Link Pin and Achroma Machine are handled.

I'm willing to hear of a better explanation, though, as that's my most logical one. =)

-----

Works for me.

-----

Alright then. And I just re-read the post; when I said 'critical damage', it was more that that's what it looked like, though what happened is what I described here. =)

...

Say, quick question, if someone had knowledge of a move, would that person be able to pass that knowledge to a Pokemon with psychic powers? Just wondering if that's possible. =)

-----

No.

-----

Alright then, didn't think so. Just wanted to check and make sure. =)

Would the move relearner for Unova be in Mistralton, or would we be following BW2's relearner, provided he's moved? Just wondering about that first. =)

-----

Either or, doesn't matter.

-----

Alright then, just wanted to check. I'll get the new move when we reach the town it's in during BW2, then. =)

What's your opinion on the World Tournament? Both in general, and for RotR. Obviously the Gym Leader portion wouldn't be usable in RotR, but as it's effectively just another Battle Frontier, it's always possible to have anything happen there...

-----

K.

It's interesting--definitely something I've been looking forward to for a while, so I'm looking forward to using it. Although I don't see any practical uses for it in RotR.

-----

Alright.

Yeah, definitely looks awesome. =D Though, there could be someone infiltrated attempting to sabotage it and destroy it, and PCs have to counter infiltrate it, win, and put a stop to evil plans. After all, the MCs in Pokemon Adventures have done that like 100 times. =P

...

Anyway... I have an idea for what to do about the gyms, and the old rivals in general.

Cheren: Aspertia Gym Leader, obviously. May or may not be a Dark Type Gym Leader now, due to Lenora actually fighting as a Gym Leader in RotR again, for however long that'll last.

Bianca: Professor Juniper's assistant, as in BW2. Is still a trainer on the side, but mostly is in training to become the next Pokemon Professor, for in case Juniper retires.

Hugh: Opelucid Gym Leader. Might seem odd, but there's an opening, and it might not even be a dragon-type gym now...

The only odd gym would be Brycen's gym, but who knows if Brycen's hair is naturally white, if he just dyed his hair because of the PokeStar Studios, or if he's just plain old. =P

-----

Blade/Parugi.

So, ignoring the whole Achroma/Corless/Colress mess for now; there's some stuff on the Wiki that might be intriguing; I restarted the work on the Wiki's timeline, as preparation for the story summary(If you can call it that. =P) that I'll try and work on sometime in the preferably near future. Might work on finding that stuff later, if I can actually finish up my laptop's updates today. =)

-----

Sweet.

... Not sure what else to say.

-----

Well; I have a list of proposed things on the talk page, like a definitive word on how long it's been for things like the Unovan conflicts, and a way to work in the World Tournament taking place(And to make things fair for poor Koga, and to actually fit the game into the same canon timeline; Koga took Giovanni's place, since he was 6 feet under at the time. =P); but it would obviously be good if I had a quick confirmation on some things, since not all of it has been established yet. =)

If you want, I could quote it here, if it'd be faster. =)

-----

I'll look at it later--don't really feel like messing with timeline-related stuff right now. Too many continuities to tie together; I'll save it for another day later this week... or next. :3

-----

I actually haven't messed with much in terms of that; just mostly setting up where Black and White and their sequels fit into the timeline, andfinally resolving the Cyrus incident, in a way of an elabourate 'he got better'. =P

I pretty much have that same opinion, though I'll work on that. Eventually. The main problem will be how Adventures went and handled FR/LG and HG/SS. They went and put them after GSC; which would theoretically mess up our personal timeline. =/ FR/LG not so much, since it set up the Sevii Islands... But HGSS directly dealt with Team Rocket in Johto, since the remakes didn't introduce any new locations. =P So, I'm kinda dreading that part, no matter how much I like Adventures. >>'

/EDIT: Wait... Maybe it might not be so bad after all... The main problem would be finally locking down a timeline location for RSE, since Adventures seems to indicate it's after GSC... D/P/P seems to show that it happens not long before Unova, so if we really need to, we could fit the Adventures events in between RGBY and B/W1, going by the actual time lapse...

-----

A good alternative to all this trouble would be shrugging and saying, "eh; fanon universe."

But in all seriousness, go ahead and mess with this if you want, but for now, I'm going to sit back and.... not approach it, cause I'm working on some other stuff. I'll take a look at this later, though.

Also, after thinking for a while, I've come to the realization that really this doesn't affect much in the RPG--it's pre-RotR story that comes and goes as needed to supplement our own, original story, and thus can be modified as needed. So while I encourage you to keep at this and I will at some point start working on it myself, I'm more concerned with future story than anything.

-----

1. True, true. =P

2. Fair enough. =)

3. That's true. Also, I guess we solved the Bertha problem, or rather, Alku did. =P But alright then. =D I'm going to try and overhaul as much on the Wiki as I can while balancing my plot arc in RotR, as well. =P

-----

Blade/Parugi. Timeline oddities still suck.

Do you have any ideas for the plot? Because I was thinking we might want to look for something or someone... then I got to looking at the Johto Gym Leaders(Since they're more or less the only ones left to be able to be found, until the Darkrai are gone); and was dismayed to find only the cool people I wanna eventually try to recruit for Team Liberty are left. =P

HOWEVER... I then noticed my note about Pryce; that he was MIA(Since we're going off a merged timeline, and he disappeared into the Time Void in the GSC arc of Adventures)... And that got me to thinking about some things.

What if we go to look for Pryce? What if that wasn't a time void, but a space in between dimensions?(That latter one is just one of my crazy ideas, but featuring Pryce some way or the other would be cool. =P) I mean, he's an established Rocket Gym Leader, just like Koga, Surge, and Sabrina are.(I kinda found that funny when you posted the twist, since you've said[i think] you never read Adventures, yet those are the same people who were Rockets in there. =P)

It's just a possible idea, if you've got a better idea, I'm all ears. =)

/EDIT: Also, I did some more work on factoring things into the timeline.

I put the Kanto/Hoenn games as happening about 8 years before the Rocket mutiny happened; this might seem crazy when you think that that would make the games be 28 years before the RPG started; however, it all explains itself in the end... You'll see what I mean. For example; we already knew there was a gap between HGSS/DPPt and BW, despite what BW2 is trying to do to the timeline with the characters' appearances. =P This would explain itself, though; five years between HGSS and BW gives plenty of time, and more than enough time to fit in not only RSE and FRLG's Adventures arcs, but the HGSS and DP/Pt arcs(Which, in awesome coincidences, take place at roughly the same time. =P) as well. Two years from GSC arc for FRLG, and 3 years from FRLG for HGSS Arc(Which is awesome planning for that arc)... Five years in total; HGSS Adventures and BW games and the Adventures arc take place at roughly the same time; given that Looker went to Unova at the end of Platinum, meaning they were still taking place(Since he's after the Seven Sages, and outright says that). That means, in Adventures, HGSS, the end of the Platinum Arc, and BW are taking place at the same time. Bonus points, when you consider that that's a meta joke and that was literally happening at that time, for the manga chapters. =P

Also, I think combining everything actually explains some things... Like, Giovanni disappeared in the HGSS arc. Which happens exactly 20 years before the start of the RPG by the count I'm using(Aka, the 'HGSS Adventures and BW/BW Adventures take place at the same time' time frame). Which means that poor Silver won't be finding his father, since Bounty went 'OH BOY, KILLING TIME!' on Giovanni around there. Puts some things into perspective, eh? =P No wonder the plans of Archer and co failed in HGSS Adventures.

We already established BW2 take place 18 years prior to the RPG's official start, which is another awesome coincidence. The official takeover is 2 years after Giovanni's death. 2 years after BW, though, all the Gym Leaders and former Champions are in Unova for an all out match against each other in the World Tournament. The only opposition Team Rocket has in the Kanto Regions, would be the Elite Four.(And we know Koga has the potential to simply throw the fight, and pretend he didn't, since he's a Rocket sympathizer. =P) There's some of the Famous Trainers, but they would have to realize their strength wasn't enough, and give up to go into hiding around then. Gym Leaders come back, everything's totally different; they fight for a little bit, however, realize this Team Rocket is much stronger than ever, and either go into hiding, or simply run their gyms for League purposes.

Which means I think we finally have the timeline entirely nailed down; and it just needs to be written out. xD I wrote up my take on how to handle Manga vs. Game Blue, on his new article; though with a heavy bias to manga version. Might be because Manga Blue[aka Green] is my favourite character, for numerous reasons. =P

-----

The only thing I know for sure at the moment is that Gavin and Jackson are going to meet up with the others on a train from Saffron to... another location, They're going to help derail (excuse the pun) a situation on board it involving a group of hijckers of sorts.

I still haven't decided on the specifics, as you can tell, but obviously it's going to be non-TR and probably non-TL; I was thinking either a small group of agents from Team Galactic or possibly even a group led by Quincy Adams (or just herself--Ford plot and all.)

Regardless, I think this Pryce idea could be interesting, so I say sure. We should try to find a way to connect the train group to it, though, especially if it's related to the Hojohsin League.

EDIT: Sounds reasonable. Good job.

-----

Just as a note, I edited in stuff about timelines into my earlier PM, as you were reading it. Just in case you didn't see it. =)

Oh, this oughta be fun. xD

Well, showing Quincy again would certainly be intriguing.(Thought that was Maddison for a moment. I've gotta work on the names. =P) Would also make sense; given that she was located near Ilex Forest during that rather large dimensional fight, which is near where Pryce disappeared in Adventures.

Alright then. =) I just figured it'd be best to use a dimensional void, rather than a time void, since we've already said time and time again; Time travel doesn't work that way here. =P Alternate Timelines, not true time travel and such.

/EDIT: Ah, you did see it, good. =) And thanks. =D Most came on the fly when trying to merge established Game Canon with Manga Blue's Canon, with the RPG; and I was rather dismayed when there was an extra two years than I wanted to add... But I just shrugged it off, since it was only two years, and there was nothing I could do, since it'd throw everything else off. =P And as I mentioned, it fits even better this way, what with adding everything in... Aside from those other odd manga series and the Rangers/Orre games. =P Those ones, will be tricky. Given that there's really no feasible timeline for that, and generations can't even be used, thanks to the multiple year timeskip in XD...

-----

Yeah. considering I need to bring her back into the story, anyway, this works well enough, so chances are that she's going to be involved in some way.

Figured that. Time travel sucks.

Eh, I don't think those are much of an isshu. ( : p ) Considering there's not much in the Orre games to go off of or contradict anything, they could probably be placed basically anywhere in the timeline. Not sure about the Ranger games, but I'd bet it's a similar case.

Oh, and Pokemon Conquest does not need a place in the timeline. JSYK.

-----

True, true. =)

It's more confusing than anything. =P But yeah, paradoxes aren't fun. Just ask Future Trunks from DBZ. =P

True, true. =P I could probably work on that soon; and if Rangers 2 and 3 don't contradict it, set the three Ranger games alongside HGSS Adventures, DPP Adventures, and BW.

Wasn't planning on it, I don't consider that canon in any sense of the word, main universe wise. Same with Mystery Dungeon. They might be good games, but they don't belong in the main universe. =P The Rangers are special in that way. =P

-----

Ha! I found a group to use.

It has been implied that there is a connection between Ford and a weapons company called Déoza. Parugi has confirmed that this will be explored in the future.

John Ford, trivia section, second point.

I guess now would be as good a time to "explore" this group as any, wouldn't it?

-----

A perfect time, yes. >=D

Would give a good reason for the stuff that'll unfortunately happen to most of the members in the party. I apologize in advance for that, by the way. =P

-----

*didn't see either of your messages until just now*

*awkward*

What could possibly happen to the members of the group?

-----

Hah; it fit perfectly, though, so no harm done. =)

Let's just ask the question of why I purposely said that Lucia's Pokemon had barely any attacking power. =P

-----

So, quick question... does Summer know that the rest of Kyle's group is with TL/TR/etc?

-----

I'm not entirely certain, but I'd think she'd have guessed, given they were with Zac Blazer, who outright told her he was with Team Liberty. Plus, I believe they abandoned caution and started talking about what happened in front of her, technically not knowing she was exactly a Team Plasma agent until she took the Light Stone.

-----

A'ight, figured it was something like that. Thanks.

-----

No prob. =D

-----

Blade/Parugi.

Just wondering, since Professor E. said that he has no plans to ever come back, would it be possible to adopt Roderick as an RPG Character? I think he would be useful for plans that I am starting to plan.

-----

It's certainly possible, yeah. I would PM him about it, though--unless the character in question has not been in use for over a year, I generally am not comfortable with taking control of them or handing them to other people (Drake Masters, for instance, is a perfect example--Half-Dragon's character from when the RPG started, dropped immediately afterward, and had existed but not actually seen any real use until I decided to use him for my purposes.)

So yeah. Since PE posted a short while back, indicating that he's at least still active on the forum, I would ask him.

-----

He hasn't posted anywhere on here since then. I will PM him here, but I do know that he is still active on Bulbapedia by the name he gave us. Note, they have a rule about you having to post a certain amount of times before they allow you to PM someone. Considering my schedule, it'll take a while for that to happen if I try and do so. I will get back to you if I receive a reply.

...

Professor E. got back to me, he gave me the go-ahead to use Roderick. Will I have to treat him as a new character with only a few of his pokemon or am I allowed to use all of them from the start?

Ack he changed his mind. BRB

-----

Ouch.

Well, regardless--in the event that Roderick ever does come into your possession, you'd be using his team as it last was, not restarting it. Or, in the case of, say, someone like Half-Dragons character, modifications could be made to make their team more up-to-date.

-----

Kay, that is nice to know.

-----

Minun/Parugi.

Everything past this will be a little more selective, as some details still haven't been officially revealed.

Oh yeah a profile, whatdaknow.

Username: Gravity

Name: Megan Keita

Faction: None

Hometown: Lavender Town

Age: 17

Appearance: Megan stands at around 5' 6", though appears slightly shorter. She possesses a thin, if not necessarily slight, unassuming build which speaks of an active lifestyle and generally healthy eating habits. Facially her features are overall angled and thin, with an expressive mouth curved into a slight smirk most of the time; sharp, almond-shaped eyes; and a thin nose that sits between them. A veil of freckles covers her dark, russet complexion while her eyes shine a bright, icey blue. The only real distinguishing feature of her's is her straight, chin-length hair, which is a stark white color that almost seems silvery at times. Megan generally wears comfortable wear for traveling, consisting of cargo shorts and t-shirt, with a backpack slung over her shoulders. Her only real concession to personal style is a thick streak of black dye that runs down her hair on the left side.

Personality: Pleasant and easy to be around, Megan is normally quiet and not very outspoken, though not so much out of shyness as she really just doesn't feel the need to be loud. Those around her have described Megan as having a distant feel about her, as if she isn't quite present as so much as simply there. Nonetheless, she is prone to bouts of mischievousness and humor, if at the expense of others. Megan is very fond of her Pokémon, them being as close as she has to nearby family as she's got. That, combined with her innate respect for life in general leads to a healthy relationship between them.

Background: Megan grew up in Lavender Town in Kanto, the small town affected little by Team rocket's rise to power. Her parents went missing when she was very young, leaving her to be raised by her uncle, who was a trainer himself. She always heard tales of his (miss) adventures as a child, and dreamed of one day becoming a trainer like him, even if the factuality of his stories was questionable. From her uncle she received her first Pokémon, a Whirlipede that later evolved into her Scolipede. On her first travels she managed to catch the Inkay and Aron she has today.

Equipment: Pokédex, a few Pokéballs, potions, and food and supplies for when she's on the road.

Pokémon: Scolipede, Inkay, Aron

Species: Scolipede

Nickname: Matthias D. Franklin as named by her uncle, she just calls him Matt.

Trainer: Megan Keita

Appearance: A large, centaurian centipede Pokémon with a thick magenta shell and huge horns. Blue-ish purple teardrop shapes run down his segmented body and mobile spikes line the underside of his shell, the largest four serving as powerful legs. While Scolipedes are large to begin with, Megan's is undeniably massive, standing almost a foot over the rest of his species.

Personality: Headstrong and impulsive, he has a large, prideful personality to match his size. He has a tendency start battles simply to prove himself as the biggest and baddest, much to Megan's annoyance. Despite his aggressive nature, he is very protective of both his trainer and her other Pokémon. As Megan was not his first trainer he doesn't completely feel the need to listen to her all the time.

Ability: Swarm- His Bug-type moves become stronger as he is hurt.

Specialty: Swift, powerful attacks to overwhelm opponents, with a secondary focus on poisoning to wear them down.

Known Moves: Megahorn, Venoshock, Twineedle (Egg Move), Steamroller, Rollout, Pin Missile (Egg Move)

Species: Inkay

Nickname: Ink

Trainer: Megan Keita

Appearance: A small, blue squid-like Pokémon with big eyes and a small beak-like mouth set above six suction cup-lined arms. Her body is clear, with four glowing yellow patches visible and two more, longer tentacles hanging down on either side. Visually similar to other Inkay, save the purplish tint to her tentacles.

Personality: Fun, playful, and slightly mischievous, Ink, as nicknamed by the ever creative Megan, is easily the happiest of the group to be doing...just about anything.

Ability: Contrary- Moves that increase or decrease her ability do the opposite.

Specialty: Indirectly fighting, using moves that weaken opponents and deal damage secondarily.

Known Moves: Topsy-Turvy, Foul Play

Species: Aron

Nickname: None

Trainer: Megan Keita

Appearance: A round ball of metal, with stubby legs and blue eyes peering out from his shiny armor.

Personality: Slow and ponderous, Aron tends takes things one at a time as they come. May start biting off chunks of nearby metal when hungry.

Ability: Heavy Metal- weighs twice as much as much as what one would expect.

Specialty: Defense, letting opponents wear themselves out before attacking.

Known Moves: Tackle, Harden

Hey, Grav. Megan's approved. Also you probs know this, but if you want to give Ink and Aron more moves, the maximum is six. =)

Will edit in some more behind-the-scenes stuff in a bit.

EDIT: Or not. Seems like most of what I have left is still secretive. Guess it'll have to wait. X3

Thanks man. c:

Thought about giving them some more moves to begin with, but felt like letting them get more as I play. However, Pin Missile is looking mighty fine on Scolipede there, might add that in.

I see the word 'shipping'.

Oh goodness, we have done that before. For better or worse, we have played matchmaker before.

(With player characters obvs)

(Also Grav, not to harp on your parade, but Speed Boost is kiiiinda cooler than Swarm. What's better than towering tanking centipedes? Towering tanking centipedes that roll around at the speed of sound)

(Okay not that fast but still)

Haven't seen one of these in a long time...

Thank you in advanced to An/A Blade for helping me out to find this Topic being new here and such I was a bit overwhelmed...

Here is my Profile thus far. I am posting it unfinished so I can have a reference post in this topic so I do not loose it later...
EDIT: There I believe I am done and ready. So does somebody need to approve my profile now or can I just start?

Trainer Profiles

Name: Yugo Doseki

Reward Points: 1
Faction: Unknown at this time but a good guy
Hometown: N/A
Age: 15
Appearance:

Yugo Doseki is your average looking Teenager; He stands about 5 foot 9, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown hair. He pears from under his favorite black cowboy hat with a set of green eyes. Yugo also wears transitions glasses that tint in sunlight. When he left on his journey he was wearing a white shirt and his favorite black jacket given to him by his father before he left them to fight in the war. Black jeans and brown steal-toe boots round out his general attire. Yugo stores his pokemon along his hips much in a similar manner to the average trainer. However they are stored in pouches rather then exposed to the open.

Yugo carries with him a change of cloths consisting of a tan and green cap a faded gray shirt and brown cargo pants. He also has a pair of running shoes for a more comfortable means of travel.

Personality:

Yugo is a good natured individual at heart though sometimes his mouth can get him and his team into more trouble than they can handle. Needing to feel useful and help others where here can and is allowed. Even with his good intentions things don't always go as planed. Yugo is a good trainer, caring for his pokemon the best he can while away from home. This does not mean he does not frequent Pokémon Centers on a more than regular basis. His knowledge of Pokémon in general is limited and it can sometimes show in his battling. He doesn't care much for trainers who mistreat their pokemon and will from time openly express this distaste both verbally and physically with a pokemon battle.

Pokémon Profiles

Yugo Doseki's Pokemon

Species: 004.pngCharmander

EXP (000)
Nickname ---- Spitfire
Trainer ----- Yugo Doseki

Gender ------ Male
Captured ---- premierball.png

Charmander was captured when it wandered into Yugo's yard and attacked his Sandshrew seemingly unprovoked. Yugo captured it in one of his families Premier Balls.

Appearance --

This specimen of the Charmander has a vibrant bronze scale pattern that is only amplified by the glow of its tail flame. Dark brown markings can be seen on its face that continue along its body and down to the tip of its tail. The flame itself burns rapidly flickering wildly at the slightest agitation. When this specimen becomes overly enraged in the heat of battle the color of the flame changes and begins to tint to a bright blue as does any flames it expels from its mouth.

Personality -

Spitfire is quite the active pokemon. When he isn't in his pokeball it is hard to keep him from moving. It doesn't matter if it is a leaf on the wind or a stray wild pokemon. When Spitfire engages an opponent his demeanor changes drastically. Where once was a pokemon you couldn't keep still now stands before you one that refuse to move and loose any ground. The twitching of his tail and the flicker of the flame at its tip is the only tell-tell sign this pokemon could burst forth at any moment. Rushing full into battle and whatever danger it may hold.

Abilities --- Blaze -

Charmander's fire burns hotter the more damage it takes in battle.

Specialty ---

Strikes hard and fast with physical moves then cooks the opponent with a blazing Flamethrower. Due to "Counter" it is best to remain at a distance as he likes to physically punish his opponents while building up his own firepower with his "Blaze" ability. Once he becomes a Charizard and adding the sky to his battle zones only a submerged pokemon hold a chance against escaping his wrath.

Held Item --- charcoal.pngCharcoal
Attacks -----

1) Flamethrower (Blaze boosted)

Species: 028.pngSandslash

EXP (000)
Nickname ---- N/A
Trainer ----- Yugo Doseki

Gender ------ Male
Captured ---- premierball.png

Sandslash was not captured so much as raised by Yugo when he found it as a Sandshrew and nursed it back to health. He only entered into a Premier ball when Yugo left on his Journey.

Appearance --

This Specimen of has a beautiful tan coat and its quills are quite prominent with a thick brown color making it appear larger than the average member of its species by about 6 inches or more. The claws on Sandslash are quite thick and well defined. it would not be wise to tangle with them lightly. When it curls up into a ball the quills flex out giving anyone who touches them a nasty surprise.

Personality -

Sandslash's personality has changed a bit from when it was a Sandshrew and Yugo found it injured while exploring the nearby forest. As with what is typical of this species Sandslash can be easily startled causing it to curl up into a ball to protect itself. However this pokemon is by no means a coward and should not be misinterpreted as such. The Quills on its back are quite hard even for members of this species. A fact it takes with pride. When not battling and not in its pokeball Sandslash enjoys eating and will often be seen snacking on something. This could explain it's larger than average size.

Sandslash is not afraid of battle and when cornered can and will lash out ferociously. While most members of this species fear water being ground type pokemon Yugo's Sandslash is not only unafraid of water but it also does not seem to have as detrimental an effect on it (Instead of being x2 it is only 1x). Sandslash does not care for the cold in the slightest as it tries to keep warm at all times.

Abilities --- Sand Veil

Now you see him now you don't. When the sandstorm blows Sandslash vanishes from view.

Specialty ---

Building attack and accuracy while enduring opponents assault. Sandslash likes to improve his attack power and accuracy with "Hone Claws" while enduring his opponents assault by either digging into the ground or curling up into a ball. When he does this it is near impossible to pry him from that position and physical attacks will have a limited effect while also damaging anyone who strikes his taunt quills. In this position he receives a power boost to his "rollout" attack. When Sandslash spins while curled up even water attacks have a limited effect on him.

Held Item --- None
Attacks -----

1) Hone Claws (TM/egg)

2) Dig

3) Rollout

4) Sand attack

5) Defense Curl

6) Scratch

Species: 016.pngPidgey

EXP (000)
Nickname ---- Airazor
Trainer ----- Yugo Doseki

Gender ------ Female
Captured ---- cherishball.png

Airazor was not captured in the wild. She was bred on a farm and purchased by Yugo's family from a pokemon pet store. Due to being purchased and not captured in the wild, Pidgey was stored in a Cherish Ball when she was not free to roam the house or the grounds outside.

Appearance -- (Shiny)

Interesting... This Pidgey has an odd color to its plumage. Where normal Pidgeys have a redish brown color to their over-feathers, this specimen has a more yellow or goldish tint. Her beak and talons are also orange instead of the normal pink. Her eyes are sharp and always scanning the area for potential threats or her next meal. Once she has you in her sights it is near impossible for you to get away.

Personality -

Airazor was raised as a pet by Yugo's family thus does not really have any known battling experience. So when Yugo took her on his journey she was very actively searching around and seemed very careful of what was going on around her. When Yugo has Airazor out of her pokeball she is constantly bobbing her head and looking at every single sound to try and catch what made it. When in battle Airazor does not like to stay close to the ground and will often be seen flying quite a distance above it to avoid being surprised

Abilities --- Keen Eye

What does my Airazor spy with her keen eye? You can run but you can't hide.

Specialty ---

Striking fast from above then quickly moving out of range of grounded targets to restore health. Airazor is a fast attacker and will often attack quickly then just as quickly flee into the air out of range of her opponent until another attacking opportunity presents itself.

Held Item --- None
Attacks -----

1) Gust

2) Peck

3) Sand Attack

4) Roost

5) Agility

6) Wing Attack

Need Profile Approval. Also if anyone is willing to offer aid on how I can improve the quality of my listed profile please PM me so I can join in. I don't really know what to put for my background since I am new to the game and don't really know what has been going on. Also Didn't want to start off in a town or place where nobody was around to interact with. Some help with that because my Trainer background is empty.

Actually, shiny Pokémon are not allowed unless you have a very good reason for them being shiny. Unless you've already discussed that with Parugi or Blade, I'd say make the Pidgey not shiny and you should be good.

Ehehehehe I wonder how much larger the Alamos plot'll get....

*ahem*

Anyways, hello, Nightwolf! Blade was talking about a small, mostly self-contained plot in Alamos Town. Well, more specifically, the characters involved are outside a power plant on a nearby route, but you get the point.

It DOES have like, one connection to the overall plot, but that aspect is easily explainable and it's otherwise telling its own story.

Haven't seen one of these in a long time...

Outdo? Are you talking about my formatting or the image additions to better show who is who and what is what?

... Shiny pidge... ... This is why I don't approve profiles at three in the morning. xD

Yeah, that'll need to be fixed, sorry! ^^'''

Oh really? Well that sucks I guess. I don't remember seeing anything that said one could not have a shiny. Any chance for an appeal on the grounds that she was bred on a farm and purchased originally as a pet by my character's parents? It could say that the store specialized in rare breeds of Pokémon? If I can get away with it I'd really not have to change that because then I would have to completely rewrite her appearance.

The "no shiny" Pokémon rule was removed/relaxed a while back, primarily due to the Pokémon appearance customization making it a moot point. As long as there is sufficient explanation for why it's shiny and why it's something special (which there now is, as of the post above this one), then I'm fine with it--as long as it isn't flaunted around. =)

So, yeah. Welcome to the game!

(Also, I think the profile thing that Blade mentioned was just a joke, since a lot of newer players have been putting a ton of detail/organization into their profiles. Which is a good thing. : P)

Cool, so do I just post with a location tag regarding Alamos Town in the single massive topic or a connecting route?

Yeah Pidgey's origin is located in her capture section as will all future pokemon I capture. I just quoted it basically for the Appeal to keep her shiny. Based on your response I can keep her as is? I kind of figured it was a joke just wanted to know the possible premise of it. On a side note, while I remember reading one can have up to 30 pokemon is there a limit on how many they can have on their person like in the show/games? Reason I ask is so I can modify my profile accordingly as I get new pokemon. Such as separating carried/active pokemon with "stored" pokemon.

The 'official' limit is six, but there's a lot of situations where that just doesn't happen; I think the official limit therefore is about as many as you can carry, and actually pay attention to... So 8 is definitely okay.
