It should be noted, the CIS has gotten general competence upgrades. The Super Battle Droid now has AI better then the mooks on the "easy" level of any given video game.

I feel inspired to make a robot with Skyrim levels of AI ability...

EE-3's already selected for my Sith, because few other guns say 'Big Gorram Heroes' quite as eloquently.

I'm still debating which character gets to be the possessor of the thing I requested as a requirement for my employment as staff for this RPG.

So, RPG-goers, this is your leadership. A handful of insane, amoral beings that like feeding people to monsters.

Feel safe yet?

I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You are wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.

Alriiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

To make sure I have this clear... The Gozanti Cruiser (Knife's Edge) is in the process of departing the planet, and is engaging the Aquiten cruiser (The Lance) in orbit around Coruscant. Meanwhile, a group is dealing with a varied force of body guards for one of the people on board the Edge.

I have all of that correct?

There is currently a scouting mission by the Sith to... kill Jedi or something? The ship already left though. I have a Sith Lord in the library section of the Renaissance, who you can interact with.

If you mean the Sith Order as a whole, uh, basically they use more love than anger now.

Basically, the Scitus' Sith Order is one which focuses on individual self-improvement, harnessing emotions rather than letting them steer you (or rejecting them outright like the Jedi), unity and whatnot. I wouldn't call the Sith anti-heroes, but they're certainly not evil sociopaths bent on murderkillslaughtering everyone they meet.

Well, basically, this Sith Order has a more positive spin on the whole "emotions" thing. The focus isn't solely on anger and such as. They don't make people fight to the death to advance, actively screwing over another Sith is a good way to get [barred from advancing] out...basically, the Sith, but not cartoonishly evil and with some goals that could be considered good.

Basically, it's more Darth Vectivus, much less Darth Sidious. They are still kind of engaged in a war, because, well, there's a group out there that honestly believes that all Sith should die screaming, and that group controls the Republic right now.

Just being a Sith doesn't make you evil. This Sith Order is much more...decent then the ones that came before. The focus on "love" mentioned in their profile should be evidence of that.

Lord - Would you like the Grey Lady's crew to get a call from their favourite little Sullustan friend, or are things going fine right now?

If you want. Th delivery of the spice should be going fine since its got to the planet without being swiped, its just tracking down the Swoop Gang that could be a bit trickier. Since, though Lev's character says their ship was taken by the aforementioned gang, I haven't seen that confirmed by staff, so I'm not sure whether I could use that to track...anyone, really

OOC: I have no idea whats supposed to happen looking for this ship, so if you want to do something, Lev, or if the staff could intervene...?

I suppose they could not be the Swoop Gang, but it was Basilisk who suggested the idea to have it be the Swoop Gang in the first place. I was just under the assumption the staff would come up with somewhere for us to go if we asked them really nicely. Perhaps somewhere with less chase scenes. :P

So yeah.

On a micro-level, a few apprentices and lords are on Lehon, hunting Jedi. As an Order, the Sith have largely been quiet in recent months. There are at least two large Jedi fleets dedicated to hunting the Renaissance. On-ship, there hasn't been too much going on in particular (due to seven of nine Sith PCs being on Lehon). If you need a Staff post for a Sith character on the Renaissance, let us know. :)

@Zehvor - I'm assuming Basilisk will find some explanation for it.

Man, there better not be any on Tulpaa. That's where Jaron's home is. Also, if anybody contests his origins as one of the Sorcerers of Tund, Rokur Gepta never joined until 5 BBY, and it doesn't say whether or not the original Sith who were among the Sorcerers of Tund ever died out or not, so I will assume not.

ANYWAYS.

Name: Jaron Unskii (AKA Darth Probite).

Species: Remnant of the Sith Purebloods who resided among the Sorcerers of Tund.

Gender: Male

Age: Sixty-nine standard years old, though it's a testament to the strength of the Force that he is not weakened in the slightest in his age.

Faction: Sith Order

Rank: A "Darth" though he prefers the terms "Dark Lord" or "Sith Lord" to his "Darth" name, even though the latter is actually a latter rank. He generally aids numerous of the Sith Lords in their tasks, such as teaching the Acolytes, and going with them on missions, though he still takes part in the duties of his rank when it is necessary.

Occupation: Jaron, when not taking part in the numerous duties he has ascribed to himself, is both a lorekeeper and artisan for the Sith order.

Skills: Jaron has numerous skills, including his proficient ability for the crafting of various items, such as holocrons, lightsabers, specialised robes, and such as that; he is also greatly skilled with a lightsaber, being a master in the forms of Makashi, Soresu, and Niman, though he still has some slight training in tactics from Shii-cho and Ataru. Lastly, his true skill lies in his mastery of the Force, as he is no lowly warrior.

Force Abilities: Jaron Unskii has some skill in nearly all aspects of the Force, though his true skill lies in the schools of the draining of the force, knowledge, or life from a target (including the drawing on their own emotions to aid him in battle), his ability, learned from his family among the Sorcerers of Tund to cast an illusion about himself (though only himself), the various uses of force lightning, and his ability to heal an injured comrade with the Dark Side; however, doing such drains him greatly, as well as generally transferring the wound over to his own body.

Equipment/Tools: Personal datapad, armoured robes, and a utility vibro-knife that can be used as an improvised weapon, if needed.

Weapons: A curve-hilted lightsaber with a silvery blade, as well as a double-bladed lightsaber with bronze-coloured blades that he has yet to finish.

Appearance: Jaron is a well-built man, with strong musculature to his body and a handsome face. His most striking characteristic, however, would be his red skin, nearly dark red, with what appear to be tendrils hanging down from his cheekbones, reddish-yellow irises, and an animalistic appearance overall-however, he normally maintains an illusion about himself, if around others not of the Sith's higher ranks, to look like a middle-aged human, with a full beard (and moustache), light skin, and piercing eyes, one green and the other blue. He wears rather nondescript clothing when in the company of most others, but when on official Sith business, as a few long-dead guards from Taris might say, he wears his armoured robes. In fact, he always has some form of armour plating on him, though it isn't normally visible.

Personality: Jaron is a calm, though self-assured, man. He doesn't talk much, preferring instead to stay out of others' conversations unless his view is needed as an arbiter. However, when one gets to know him, he can prove to be a rather friendly soul, nearly always there if you need his help, though his shrewd business skill and harsh dealings with those who annoy him lead others to think of him as reticent, and possibly hostile, to others around him. However, Jaron does enjoy taking the place of a Teacher for those amongst the Sith order, regardless of his high rank.

Home Planet: Technically Tund, though he has his home on Tulpaa, which is where he stays when not with the rest of the Sith Order, often training a few of the lesser Lords who may come to him, as well as maintaining a well-sized repository of what knowledge has been found of the older Sith there.

Background: Born amongst the Sorcerers of Tund, Jaron was one of the few to reject the view of the force held by his elders among them. However, he quickly progressed along numerous of the paths of teaching they gave, such as the illusion of one’s true self and the control of the elements around. However, he soon made his way off the planet, wishing his family farewell, and soon found his master, one trained under the rulings of the Rule of Two, though he had later left his old master. Jaron spent a few years in an apprenticeship with this Sith, before he felt-no, he knew that he had learned all he could from the man, who by then had become but a poor, feeble shell of his old self. So Jaron sent him out quietly in the night, before giving him a proper cremation and then setting out across the galaxy in the old man’s ship, never staying in place too long, not even his home on Tulpaa, always travelling as part of his job as an artisan - until, later, the Sith were reformed as an order, one which he quickly joined, in order to teach those new Sith who were rising up.

Name: The Umbra

Model: Modified Ubrikkian Star Yacht

Function: Transport, light combat, speedy getaways.

Weapons: Two concealed Proton Torpedo tubes, two dual barrelled blast cannons placed on swiveling mounts on the underside of the ship, each barrel per unit firing, respectively, an ion blast and a more normal laser blast, designed by Jaron himself in order to give a slight edge in a fight.

Modifications: The aforementioned blast cannons, a much more powerful and accurate navicomputer, as well as a faster, class 2 hyperdrive-Jaron isn't one to sit in hyperspace too long, after all. And, finally, a shipboard A.I., something to drive the ship when Jaron was working-actually, originally, part of the navicomputer, it has spread through the ship, making the ship and everything within it a droid-ship, and it has perfect loyalty to Jaron, for it knows no better. However, he still has to manually enter in his destination, as well as piloting the ship in-atmosphere and controlling the weapons.

History: The Umbra was, actually, a gift to Jaron from his old master. It was, originally, made for quick getaways-and with a good sum of money, Jaron was able to get it to move faster, and to have some extra weapons added on as well, and later, after a particularly nasty battle giving the ship a long, black scar along the starboard side of its hull, a navicomputer with built-in A.I. After a programming malfunction occured, the A.I. spread throughout the ship, something that actually gave Jaron, the sole occupant, generally, a great boon.

Well, that's being discussed right now, a fact I was not aware of when I made the statement regarding Force Lightning - as far as I knew, this was just someone with an admirably detailed profile (but where's the nose?) who was going in for a bit more power than we ordinarily allow.

Thank you. See, I told you guys they were pointless exposition!

Heh. It's funny and kind of ironic because if noses are pointless than that kind of means they don't have point, but they're actually pointed, and... of forget it.

Well not every character can be noseless.

We'd all smell awful if that were the case.

If everyone smells awful and no one has a nose, do we all still need baths?

ahem

Given that your character was trained under the Rule of Two, a proper title - yes I know he doesn't really use it anymore but we want the title anyway - would be good. As would an age. And a wee bit more specialization with the Force - at the moment, he seems to be pretty good at just about all Force-related abilities. And maybe tone down his experience with every lightsaber form.

The general concerns I have relate to his power. His mastery of three lightsaber forms, and proficiency with the other four is concerning. He also seems to be an expert in almost every permutation of Force abilities (with the exception of prophecy). Paring away a few Force skills and lightsaber knowledge would be beneficial.

"Really? How'd he smell?"

"Awful."

It's been going on for about 20 years, meaning it's about the same time the Battle of Yavin IV. Almost, I believe.

Sure it says. Sadly, the whole BBY/ABY system has been shot. We're roughly around New Hope in time.

It is an era of conflict and strife in the Galaxy. Agents of the CONFEDERACY OF INDEPENDENT SYSTEMS continue to strike at the clone armies of the GALACTIC REPUBLIC and at the ranks of the JEDI ORDER. The CLONE WARS have raged on for over twenty years and though the Confederacy has been forced to abandon many of its holdings within the galaxy, their hidden bases continue to elude discovery by the forces of the Republic. GRANDMASTER WINDU is certain that the war has entered its final years. The forces of the DARTH SCITUS and GENERAL GRIEVOUS have been reduced in recent years, as some of the last Confederate strongholds fall.

Well, I dropped his skill level with the other four lightsaber forms, and the lightning completely. xP

As to the lightsaber forms specifically, I'd be willing to drop his abilities in the other four down to where he's able to use the acrobatics of Ataru, so long as I can keep master of Makashi, Soresu, and Niman.

Man, I'm a derp.

As to the Force...hmm. I'll drop his proficiency in illusion down to where he can only cover himself, and get rid of any super-masterful specialization in telekinesis, if that's acceptable.

EDIT: Man, I'm good at causing trouble for you guys. xP
