Add a "whitelist" to the external link popup?

Posted by Dralcax on Jul 27 2013 - 06:44 PM

See, the new popup is good for sites like Youtube that actually have a risk of inappropriate content. But sites like Brickshelf, MOCpages, Flickr (Especially in BBC and SBC), and the official Lego sites? It just gets annoying and time-consuming. I propose we add them to a whitelist of approved sites for which the popup does not appear, if that is possible. At the very least, there could be an option to disable the popup.

In the news article, B6 said:

Additionally, some popular sites that could be linked to previously with no problems will be excluded from the popup - places like LEGO, Brickshelf, Majhost, and Flickr.

Some of those seem to work fine, with the exception of Flickr which still brings up a popup. I'd definitely support adding a few more sites to that list, too (like MOCpages, etc.). (personally, I wish that any image could be clicked on without having to go through the popup, but I'm not sure that's possible)

As Velox says, there is already a whitelist. I have added Flickr and MOCpages to it (LEGO, Brickshelf, and Maj were already there).
