The first of this season's Bionicle books are starting to show up in bookstores. Four of the new books (excluding the Mask of Light novelization) have been found in stores. Online, Barnes & Noble has the four books available now. Read on for more details.

Now I have to go and chack to see if these books are in NYC yet, I would love to get them, Ahh, I can already imagine the weird looks I'll get on the subways while reading these.

I heard about this last night, this is a lot earlier than I expected. Perhaps they are trying to get more people to like Bionicle before the movies release, and this will catch them up on the story so far!

I got them. They`re really good, especially the bohrok-Kal one. Ity totally changes my opinion of the Kal saga. It expanded upon it greatly, and there was an overall sense of tension between Kopaka and Tahu throughout the books. Interestingly enough, they tended to imply a relationship between Kopaka and Gali, rather than Tahu, especially the first.
Ironically, the first book, which was the longest, seemed too short. It included the battle with the shadow toa, but did not include the final battle with Makuta. Also, The books tended to follow the comics heavily, and mostly ignored(and sometimes contradicted) what was said in the movies on bionicle.com. Good examples of this are the battle with the manas, and Gahlok-Kal stealing tahu`s symbol. Overall I enjoyed the books, and would reccomend them to any bionicle fan. -------------------- "Toa," Zaktan said, a harsh laugh echoing in multiple voices. "You are an anachronism -- pure and noble heroes, still striving for right in a universe of chaos, unwilling to admit that your day is long over."And what is going to replace us? Monsters like you?" I am stressing the come-and-go theories about Takua playing a "very important role" in the Mask of Light Movie. I have cut and pasted the Mask Of Light book synopsis so this is the exact wording, but I have literally cut most of it anyway:
Now the fate of the island lies in the hands of an irresponsible young villager. Will he accept his destiny, or will the island of Mata Nui lie in darkness forever? That is the important bit. Doesn't it catch your eye? "An irresponsible young villager." To me, that sounds like Takua. And as for "Will he accept his destiny, or will the island of Mata Nui lie in darkness forever?" that is very interesting indeed. I know that there's a very high chance of me being wrong, so don't post something biting my head off, but this looks really "suspicious"(so to speak) to me. -------------------- It is neither the Toa nor the Toa Nuva...neither Takua nor Takanuva...neither Mata Nui nor Makuta...the prophecies, the legends and the mysteries...all are simply Destiny of the Legend of the Bionicle
