Right, so after Mikerahk showed me the music video for "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley a couple months ago we both agreed that, yes, this song would now be dubbed the Vezon theme-song. Since then I've noticed that a lot of other members have realized the connection between the two. I set to work on my first flash animation in six months, and after a lengthy and messed up summer I finally finished it this past friday.
But before I link it, I have to give major thanks to my two partners in crime and all around devious meddling, Spuzzum and Mikerahk. The former isn't even a regular Bionicle fan, let alone a BZP member, but his contributions to this flash were great and many, so for that he has my thanks. And of course, Mikey for giving me the idea and helping me to evolve it into what it is now. You guys are two of the best





Notes-
0. Yes, it might take a minute to load, especially for people with Dial-up, I'm currently working on a downloadable version with a smaller file-size though, so just be patient.
1. The pixelation of the piraka commercial and my Fenrahk CHOMP clips is unintentional and couldn't be avoided with my version of Flash, all movie clips get pixelated when used in Flash due to compression (or something like that )
2. Made this with a medly of Adobe Photoshop, Imageready, Microsoft Word (yes. . .), Flash MX 2004, Microsoft Paint, and Windows Movie Maker.

The secret message is some stuff, followed by Moo's infamous "secret stomach message" Microsoft Sam is hard to understand sometimes, but the SSM is mostly spam anyway

I like that especially when the Vezon sprites came out and danced I also like the part at the end when the plushie Vezon popped out of nowhere and yelled "FWEEDOM!" that was just to funny

So this is why you needed to know how I made my Caught in a Dream video. Well I think you did a very good job. It's neat how you combine editing, CGI, sprite animation, Flash animation, and photography all together to make the different parts of this movie. Also the song works great for Vezon since he's a bit kooky himself.

Bostwik- Everybody loves a danced out Vezon sprite

WSG- If you look closely, Vezon's mouth actually flys off his body and becomes the plushie, due to his insanity and what not.

SPIRIT- Yes, this is why There wasn't a ton of media to work with, so I had to gather it from wherever I could, in most cases it meant photography of the set itself, but I'm still surprised that I managed to get all those different media formats to mesh into one fine tuned film.

infact, i think DtM should seriously reconsider what he does with his time, instead of poking fun at the mentally unsound, he should be out in the field aiding them in their everyday lives, we all know vezon needs help operating his staff of fusion, it was obviously not working correctly when it was flashing green

in short, i'm digusted, utterly digusted at how funny this is, it is repulsive; however, i know that vezon would find it funny, only because he is too sick to know any better

Lip syncing through motion tween with photoshopped mouths is extremely difficult if you haven't had much experience with it, I usually get as good as I can before I say "ALRIGHT! That's it! No more perfecting this motion tween!" Your dark humor is showing again Mike XD, Vezon definately has a problem, and that mask just isn't helping him. Which was the whole point of this movie, to show how crazy he is, and the effect his creation and the mask have had on him since then. I can't wait for the Bionicle equivalent of Gollum to get some more story from Mr. GregF, and I really think Vezon deserved a music video about him in someway or another There were actually a lot of cut scenes from this movie (that were indefinately replaced with other things to fill in blank space). The plushie wasn't even intended to be a plushie in the beggining anyway, it just turned out looking that way after I started playing with the mouth in flash. I think I'm going to try my hand at stop motion some more before I do my next flash (starring Zaktan, and a classic Disney song ), the working title for it is "Piraka; Behind the Music" Thanks for the review anyway

since i'm here i may as well post one of the criticisms i overlooked previously
in the scenes where you erased the area around vezon... there are some scattered white spots that could have been eliminated if you had payed a bit more attention to detail

besides that, the video gets better each time i watch it

Yes secret stomach questions aside, there are a few specs in one a couple of those pictures, but it couldn't be helped because of time (I saw them when I inverted the picture...yes I did).
And lycanthropic_kid I don't usually listen to any kind of rap, and this song falls under R&B anyway.

LOL!!! Oh wooow, I never realized how well that song suits Vezon! That music video was pure hilarity. The crudeness of some of the editing actually made it better. I'm surprised this isn't a hot topic, 'cause it's so good.

concerning the stomach messgae, i only decided to deal with the original, not the remake (plus i found the original's link first (thanks onuki ))

also, i don't think i've taken the time to comment in detail on the spritework, very nifty and creative
the details are excellent (especially on the ignika), kudos to the kit maker
and how exactly did you get them sprites dancing, just a repeated loop, right?

The plushie IS Vezon's mouth, it just flies off his body and turns into a deformed version of Vezon, it wasn't originaly meant to be a plushie, but that's how it turned out.
Good questions on the sprites though-
I used the Halabardo kit by Derion from PFB (or thats what it says here) it was the first sprite I came along and decided to use it.
I took the parts from the sprite and constructed different poses in the order I wanted them, because I was busy (and I can't make a .gif that's animated for the life of me), Spuzzum put them in the order I requested and animated them. In flash you can import the .gif and give it a select amount of frames to play, you can give it to less and it'll cut off, and you can give it more to let it keep looping.

The thing where the thingy came outta Vezon, and the end were kinda confusing(I agree with everyone the secret message is hard to hear) but overall this was one of the best animated stuff(that isnt TV) that Ive EVER seen...

Vezon's mouth turning into a plushie esque form of himself was just reflecting how insane Vezon can really be, he's just having a hallucination of sorts I mean, how else would there be tons of him danceing in the backround?

It is very awesome. As others have stated, the dancing Vezons are hilarious. I also like how you incorporated Zaktan during the "You really think you're in control" part. It fits very nicely. But what would have been cool is if during "But it wasn't because I didn't know enough / I just knew too much" is if you got the Vezon on the left to say the first part, and then have the MoLi Vezon on the right say the second part. Although, I understand it really can't be done, what with the MoLi having no part to move as a mouth. Overall, it was an awesome, funny video that captures Vezon very well.

I had considered letting the Moli faced Vezon talk in some parts, but those parts were eventually cut out, the mouth would've moved a lot like the how the mouths do in the actual Bionicle movies.
Well it seems like Google Video's server finally came through, you can now view "Crazy" in a smaller, easier to load format, albeit the quality is toned down, and some frames are cut out.

Too much time on my hands XD? Lol, maybe its the principle of it, but in some ways, these projects I do generally turn out "I can't believe you/I sat down to do that!". I personally like the video, but only b/c I appreciate it more b/c of all the hours Spuzzum, Mikerahk and I put into it. FWEEDOM FTW Kativa
