Chapter 1:Born from the shadows

The toa opened his eyes.He sat up shaking his head.He felt a burning hatred in him....as if he had to destroy something.On the ground next to him there was a mask.It was shaped like a half-circle glued to the top of a square.on each side there was three slits..He picked it up and looked at the back of it.Even in the dim light,he saw what was written at the top of the mask,around the forehead area.
Daven....Is that my name?
he wondered.Well,better put it on.My face feels cold without it. he thought.At the exact moment he put it on,he felt...protected,as if an invisible shield surrounded him.He got to his feet and looked around the room.He surveyed every area.He was in......a chamber of some sorts.Many huge tanks lined the wall.Then he heard a voice.Come my child...Come to the mask of shadows.....Destroy your...no..our enemies...

Daven walked around the barely lit chamber for the source of the sound.Suddenly,he stumbled upon something.He thought that it was a a rock.But just as he was about to kick it,he realized that it was a mask.But it was different.It was the Kanohi Kraahkan,the mask of shadows.Yes my child... said the voice again.Then Daven realized that the mask was talking!Yes my child.....pick me up.....and then put me over your current mask....My son... "Father!"Daven said in something like a male teenager's voice."Who did this to you?Tell me and I will destroy them!",the fire of hatred in him now burning stronger than ever.My...now our enemies....did this to me....."Who are they father?"The toa nuva...Now pick me up Daven and put me over your current mask!You will gain all the powers i had in the past.....maybe even more!

Daven did as he was told and he put the Kraahkan on.He was unprepared for what would happen next.Then,suddenly Daven was hit by a blast of black light.Then when he stood up,he was different.He has armour.It was black with angry orang splotches randomly placed on it.The shoulder armour extended all the way to just right above his elbow.His mask was...different.At first glance it was like the Kraahkan.But a second glance would tell you that it was like the Kraahkan and Hau merged into one.The "blades" around the Kraahkan were the same.But the inner part,the part where the eyeholes were,it was a Hau.The being shouted in a very deep voice,"I am Daven Seltra!"

The Toa Nuva were overjoyed.The defeat of Makuta in the chamber had welcomed a new toa to their ranks and they had found a new place to live.A place where there were no more evils...or so they thought."Ahh...",Tahu said.The whole of Mata-Nui were on a beach of the new city called Metru-Nui.They had become one village to accumulate the newest toa,also known as Takanuva,the toa of light and previously known as Takua."With no evil we can play around more with the Matoran can't we Takua?"Tahu said with wink and a nudge to Takanuva.He still liked to call him Takua,even though the other toa called him Takanuva."Right you are Tahu!" Takanuva said with a smile.

Little did they know that they were wrong.
