Oh goody, a Q&A place.. I'm a little old, but what is flaming? I was trying to help out on "the 7th toa" topic somewhere and afterwards, i got this PM about me flaming and that it will be 2 points if i do it again.. I thought it was good and was for helping out, but noticed about my proto energy.. So anyhow, what is flaming? I need to know before it happens again..

Ahhhh, good old flaming.
Flaming is basically the process of saying anything with certain words or a certain manner that will make somebody mad. Generally flaming is intentional... but not always. The most often you'll see it here is when people disagree about a theory in the storyline... or criticism on a MOC. -------------------- |

You can disagree with someone. You can state your own opinion. But don't namecall, or insult someone. If you give someone criticism about something they made, make it constructive criticism, that is, something that will help them out to fix whatever problem you think they need to fix.
Flaming isn't just using caps and "yelling," it's basically being mean. If you say something to someone, think about how you would feel if someone said that to you. If it's something that would hurt your feelings, or make you angry, then don't post it. Like I said, you don't have to agree with everyone, and you're entitled to state your opinion or say you disagree with someone, but sometimes if you have nothing but something negative to say, the best thing is to not say anything at all. |

oh so thats what flamming is! 2 whole pages of posting erm (how many posts?) for a defenition of flamming and i still dont know what the price of cheese is in town never mind !
 sorry comedy over sereicly flamming is bad and it shouldn't happen because its mean  in a perfect world this message board would have a moderator reveiwing every post but never mind its still good and BZP would be much slower if we did have mods reading every post before its accepted but anyway thats my view!

I got flamed a couple of weeks after joining BZP, funny thing is though, I didn''t care a lot. It's just yelling and insulting some body, ussally[ accually, almost always] right in thier topic. I have said my part.
