Just a quick question... what's with the Orange KauKau at the bottom?  It looks kind of out of place.

Could you imagine all the masks if the Toa had to get the Noble Masks too.

Looks like a cool mask, but I hate to say that I don't think it is the real one....

I love it though, looks cooler than the real Gold one.  I like the metallic tones.. would look awesome on a gold Toa.

I was wondering if anyone has made a free standing display for the Kanohi masks.  I was just wondering what parts you used, I'm going to order some and make my own.  Thanks

Well I plan to have a rotating (Kinda like a tie rack) Kanohi display that has the technic fiber optic emitter equipped so it looks like the mask you want pulses light thru the eyes. It should be controled by an RCX, have fwd and rev to speed up mask selection, and maybe an automatic mask popper-offer (like a vending machine that drops candy) so the Toa don't have reach really high to get thier the mask they want.

why dont you get a piece of wood, drill shallow little holes, and jam the black pegs in the hols w/ the heads.

that wouldnt take long at all to make and would be for the most park cheaper to make unless you already have all those LEGO's.

Unless you figure that their color would just be the color of their Turaga.  If anybody has seen the new movie on the Mata-Nui game, you know what I am talking about.

its strange, click here as you may see you can only find the following

Transparent Red  - Tahu
Transparent Orange - Pohatu
Transparent Brown - Onua
Transparent Blue - Gali
Transparent Green - Lewa
Transparent Water - Kopaka
Transparent Fluorescent Blue - ?
Transparent Fluorescent Yellow - ?

Indeed Orange Kaukau belongs to Pohatu so its in the right place, But Onua is listed as brown but its Black :(

You will be very lucky to find a misprint in the UK, let alone the US... :) Anyway LEGO withdraw the misprints... But in DC COmic 2, centre page (Top right).. It states the  follow : The toa must collect the Nobel Masks of power in his or her own colours... When i have 12 of them (misprints as we first thought) so there could be another 24 new masks to come yet.

Well i have nearly Technic Set ever made by Lego :) and i have bins full of parts from Second sellers... I have been selling these spares on brickbay for $$ and buying stuff that i need for the display by www.brickbay.com :)

I think it has cost me in the region of ์ to make this display !!

[/quote]

You can use the extra Axel that you get in those packs,,, instead of using a Technic Pole Reverser Handle you can use Technic Connector with Axlehole and stick the extra axels in those and stick the heads on the axel.

Oh, my design also uses these methods :) - see the mini pictures above to understand what i am on about.

So i could say that my design is the first unofficial Mask Stand that uses the usless axel found in the Kanohi Packs :)

If this sounds confussing i will do some pictures on a really close of on the 2 methods :)

Good Question... I don't knoew if its around in the US

But anyway. The Orange Kaukau is in the right place. It Gali Brown Mask.... I spoke to Lego about this and they said they can't produce a trans-broen, so they did a orange instead .

Hope that hopes..

Wild.  An orange instead of transparent brown.

I suppose on ebay you'll see

"RARE 1 OF A KIND!  SUPER HARD TO FIND ORANGE KANOHI KAUKAU!!!  SUPER RARE AND HARD TO GET!!!  NEW MASK FOR THE TOA MESHA!"
(and someone out there will fall for it)

Here we go

Right

I have done 3 pictures before my battry ran out of juice :)

1 of the front with all of the masks, 1 from the back and a a close up of the backsection
Please bear in mind these pictures are copyright to myself and so is the design :) - but it wouldn't harm me if you want to make one and do a few mods :) But the idea is mine nah :)

Right the pictures are as follows

Front:

Back:

Closeup:

You will need these elements to build the model

-  Technic Angle Connector #2 x 80
 - Technic Angle Connector #1 x 20
 - Technic Angle Connector #6 x 4 at present
- Technic Axle  2 x 250
- Technic Axle  5 x 100
- Technic Axle Joiner x 200?
 - Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular 3 Long x 2
-  Technic Connector with Axlehole x 40
- Technic Pole Reverser Handle - x lots. number of current masks :)

If closes up are need let me know....

Well, at least Lego is admitting to the misprints being out there.  So that gives us some hope of a US release.
