URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. This code is used to locate files on the internet. They're the internet's addresses, and you know what they look like: 'http://www.bzpower.com/' is a URL, but it's not just for sites and their pages. A URL also locates pictures, sound files, etc. You can usually find out what a picture's URL is by right-clicking and selecting 'Properties'. --------------------

Often I see people who have multiple links in one pic. Like they'll have something written and it'll be linked to one place, then, in the same pic, they'll have something else written and it'll be linked to a completely different place. My question to you is: How do you do that?

It's not just one picture. It's like 3 pictures that are put together in your sig to make one image. Then you can have a URL for each image.
Or you could just make a flash sig. --KToI-- -------------------- Remember the bz community days... good ol days...

There are 'shops' in the Creative Outlet--Bionicle Artwork forum that will make Banners, Sigs, and Avatars for you. You have to hunt around, but one of them should be able to make the Banner you want. -------------------- ![]() If I let go of a hammer on a planet having a positive gravity, I need not see it fall to know that it has, in fact, fallen. To make a .gif movie, you need to download a .gif animator. Try this topic and I think you will find what you're looking for. This post has been edited by Chaos Shadow: Oct 29 2003, 02:33 PM |

Did you go to the Image URL and Resources, because otherwise, if you try to get the URL from the picture right there, it won't work.

Right click on the image.
Save it to your computer. You now have the image. If you wish to use the image in Read the Help topics for instructions on how to display, or link to an image. Follow the instructions. -------------------- ![]() If I let go of a hammer on a planet having a positive gravity, I need not see it fall to know that it has, in fact, fallen. I've seen a few members with Avatars that are bigger than 64x64, and they weren't from the IPB Community Pack. How come they are oversized? All Avatars are automatically resized by Bzp right?

My banner ok? Each of the images that comprise your signature is over 1000 KB in filesize. The filesize limit for one's avatar and signature combined is 100 KB. Combined, your signature and avatar take up over 5000 KB. Plus - the combined dimensions of your images are 300x100. The limit is 250x100 pixels or 468x60 pixels. I'm afraid that you need to find a new avatar and signature. -------------------- Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty

I'm not sure about this banner, would it be appropriate? Hmm.... I'll say it's okay on this one, because I don't see anything rather innapropriate. It's just either a mirror image of a girl or two girls. I don't see anything wrong in that. S~K -------------------- |

why wont some of These work? they are all .gif's.... It's possible that the address is too long. The avatar thing has a character limit. So the '.gif' could get cut down to '.gi' or something, because it doesn't fit. EDIT: Yeah, that's the problem. Move them from the folder or something, so the address becomes shorter. Hi. Just a simple question...Are LOLcat topics allowed? It is more of an image related question, I think, because a Lolcat topic is an image topic.

As long as they aren't inappropriate and don't have links to the site, I don't see why not...but you might want to wait on a staff member, or a member who knows for sure. ~Javi |

Depends on what you mean by that. If you mean one picture, but with a good amount of panels, then it's probably allowed. If it's just one picture, as in one panel, you'd be best off posting in Bionicle Artwork: General Art.
Can you post the one-picture comic here, plesh? ~Javi |

I have a question.
Say that I have a banner in mind, but it all can't fit into a 468x60 or 250x100 or whatever. Is it possible that I could decrease either the width or height, then increase the other? Say if I didn't want a 250x100, then could I change it to a 300x50? Or would that break the rules? Thankee, come again. No, it won't break the rules.
250/468 x 100/60 means width and height, respectively. So like, if it was 400x68, that wouldn't be allowed. 300x50 would be allowed, since it fits into 468x50. This post has been edited by Zeddy: Sep 10 2008, 10:58 PM -------------------- ![]() |
