I've been plating Infestation, and I can't seem to find Nireta. I checked Ga-Wahi, then I checked Po-Wahi, and probably spent more then two-hundred widgets traveling back and forth between Ga-Koro and Ta-Wahi.

Thanks to everyone who's playing. smile.gif The Infestation seems to have more bugs than anticipated, and unfortunately they can't really be fixed. Even if I take out the problem script (yes, I think I know which one it is), that script (series of scripts, actually) is the foundation script, meaning the game was built upon those scripts. If I reset them to the way they were, then (assuming the game doesn't corrupt) there won't be a side-view battle system, AND the problems might still be there.

Well, moving on to another subject, I might've mentioned that the Mudkip Man is redoing the charaset sprites in Fall of the Conqueror (he might do battle sprites too, but we'll wait and see). I myself plan to go back and "enhance" the MIDI tracks that I made so that they just sound better. I'll then go back and simply take out any system that doesn't work well (meaning that Ussal breeding is probably going bye-bye), then I re-release the "Debugged" version of Fall of the Conqueror and I'll sleep a little better at night. colgate.gif

And now for Influx.

The basic coding for the menu is complete, as is the HUD. My next goal is to put in a message system (basically going up to someone and having a conversation). Unfortunately, that means I have to animate another model, and animation is really difficult.

So that's pretty much it for now. If there are any more questions, please don't hesitate to post them here. happy.gif

Actually, I have gone through the battle sprites - the enemy ones - and done a bit of alteration. I've taken most of them and redone them in the style of the Rayg 2.5 kit, in order to better match the Toa battle sprites. smile.gif Meanwhile, I'm nearly done with the enemy Toa map sprites; I need to do one more.

Now, onto The Infestation:

I've downloaded it, and thus far (which isn't very far at the moment laugh.gif ) I'm quite impressed. The gameplay, though a tad slow, is impressive, and the graphics all work well. Except for the battle sprites, which are pretty bad. But it doesn't matter that much. shrugs.gif

I like the new Infestation. The limit system actually impresses me, with you being able to choose the limit type.
HEEELP. I'm stuck. When Taipu joins you, what are you supposed to do? I know there are some switches, but they don't help in getting through.

Well, Dlakii has Toa and Matoran - all of them (I'll send them your way), and do we really need to redo the Rahkshi? If those are bad, there are worse sprites that probably need to be done first, like the Nui Jaga, Nui Rama, and Tarakava charasets.

You're in charge of sprites though, Dlakii. I'm just putting in my two cents.

Well, at least we're not in a total dry spell.

Takua95, if the Beta Testers aren't responding, it may be a good idea to set a deadline or release it without them, as they could just be too busy. I personally didn't find any bugs that I remember. Gameplay was very smooth.

Wait. I never gave you a full set of my Matoran, just some previews with the full lot of Toa. But I'll send them later.

And yup, my basic plan is to redo nearly everything in the end. Which reminds me, if there are any images of the Nui Laka that aren't from the game (for instance, if it started out as a MOC), I could really use such material. It's proving to be a headache, both map and battle.

As for that screen, it looks somewhat bland, but still impressive. smile.gif

Aft and Takua's Fire spells should be developed enough to do some serious damage. Thunder, Stone, and Light powers are also helpful against the Kohrak. I hope that helps. smile.gif

Update: My current 3D project is Proto-Laka, leader of the Makutus Ultimus (Dark Vengeance 2.0). He's one of the villains from Influx.

Toa Nidhiki Nuva, if you have time for doing two projects at the same time like that, then go for it, but I personally wouldn't do that if one project took up a lot of time before. =/

Anyway, I have a question for staff and fans alike. I'm working on the message system and I want to know which layout you guys would prefer: the face graphic like in Mata Zuto 1 or the name box in Mata Zuto 2? If you go with the face graphic, names some regular civilians won't be revealed unless you ask them. I want you guys to help decide on this though.

Also, Imold was nice enough to help debug The Infestation, and with that, I've decided to lessen the MP3 soundtrack to improve file size (right now the file size is about 50 MB, compare to the 100 MB it was before). I don't know if I'll have this done by tomorrow, but we shall see. wink.gif

Wait. I thought that Fall of the Conqueror had both - the name and the picture. If that's doable, that'd be good. If not, then the one from The Infestation. We'll already be able to see them, anyway. tongue.gif

I have a question about Fall of the Conqueror. You see, recently I bought Super Smash Bros Brawl. I was playing on the Bridge of Eldin, a Legend of Zelda stage, when a certain tune called "The Dark World" started playing. It reminded me of something. Hey, I just wanted to say, I'm a real fan of Cyan Productions. You guys have churned out the best games on BZP. I love the Mata Zuto series and eagerly anticipate Influx. If you guys were to recreate FotR, I would be with you 100% of the way. I had a question however; in the newest version of the Infestation, I've run into a glitch where I cannot continue the game, due to some scripting error. This occurs right as Wopaku is about to use the Spear of Fusion on himself. I was wondering if there was a solution to this problem, and, if not, if I could find out what happens at that point and beyond smile.gif.

Btw, is the company hiring for anything?

That never happened to me in the testing, and it seems as though you're the only one who's had that problem so far. I don't know anything about scripting, ask Emzee.

Check the front page and the staff list. If there are any openings you'd like, post here asking.

Hey everyone! Not sure if KKP's merger is complete yet.

For that matter, I don't even know if I'm officially a KKP member.

Anyways, here are my skills:
Can learn advanced techniques in most Game Maker/RPG Maker type programs
Work on custom engines in spare time with C# and C++... although I'm not too horribly good yet.
Am learning how to make 3D games
Have 3D modeling software. Not particularly good at it yet.

BTW, I won't use any version of RPG Maker prior to XP, and I won't use pirated copies of XP. Don't like the grey area. tongue.gif

I sent a fixed version of the game to Emzee but he has to make some fixes so that the MIDI version will work with it and he's decided to take some of the tracks out to save space.
But he's on vacation till tomorrow.

well, i did make a rigged Lehrak, the rest isnt though. if you want to rig it I wouldnt have a problem with it. some part may be parented and linked and most parts are seperate items allthough some are mirrored, dont know if thats a problem. the extension is .blend

just say so and ill upload the files and give you the link.
