Lerahk Part 1


Turaga Vakama:The darkness has grown thicker since the Bahrag arrival on Mata Nui. Much has changed, since that time and we, the Turaga and Toa fear that our worst foe has reappeared. For this is a darkness almost as thick as the darkness Turbo gave us. I sense a relationship between that time and the one approaching. That was a very long and dark war. But this could be worse. Can Mata Nui stand one more war? Is it possible for The One to save us once more? Only time will tell. Only Time...

Makuta:I have gained much power since my last defeat. The darkness of Turbo has given me Power beyond belief! So now I'm creating a son to help me defeat the Toa. I will name him... Lerahk! A creature of poison, he can poison anything he touches. I'll destroy the Toa this time for sure. For there will be more of my sons to come. Go my son, destroy the villages of Mata Nui, and their precious Toa Nuva! Now that shouldn't be a harmful task...

The Destruction of Le Koro

On a sunny day in Le Koro, Lewa was soaring in the sky happily watching his people have fun. He went down to speak with Turaga Matau, then went soaring in the sky. But he saw something coming toward the village with a dark cloud following it.
"What is that?" Kongu asked.
"I don't know," replied Matau.
Lewa said, "It's fast- moving to our uptree home!"
Just then they heard a frightful sound from the creature coming towards them. Then it changed to a dangerous form.
It attacked Lewa and threw him to the ground but Lewa took it with him. The creature though, proved stronger even when Lewa switched to the Pakari, mask of strength.
The creature pulled its staff apart and pulled away from the Toa of Air. Lewa got up and as the creature pushed its staff in the ground, he yelled, "Abandon Le Koro!" The creature went and touched Lewa with its staff and threw him to a damaged hut. Then debris from the hut fell down on Lewa and trapped him, with no armour or mask on...

Makuta: It is done... finally I have succeeded in destroying Le Koro! Now my son, follow the villagers to the village they seek and destroy it!

The villagers fled to a secret tunnel and went through it, hoping to lose the evil creature. They did but the creature knew where they were going from what its Father had told it. He went to meet them at that village.
The matoran ran to their destination as fast as they could with one hope, that the enemy wouldn't get there before they did and destroy it.
What is this new foe? Is Lewa gone for good? Will Makuta succeed? Who are his new sons? Find out in the next episode.

Lerahk Part 2: Lava Consumes Ta Koro!

The Le- Koronan villagers arrived at Ta-Koro.
"The Le-Koronans are coming! Open the Gate!" yelled the guard.
The Gate opened and the villagers entered Ta-Koro. Turaga Vakama greeted them.
"What business brings you here Turaga Matau?" asked Vakama as he bowed low.
Matau bowed and replied, "Our village has fallen to a very powerful foe. It took AirLewa down and destroyed our uptree home leaving us to come here. We do not know if AirLewa still lives, but we neither know what that thing was either but I fear an old foe sent it."
"This is ill news indeed. Tahu will not be happy, for he and Lewa have been great friends since Tahu arrived on Mata Nui, but we must awaken him and inform him on what news you bring," replied Vakama, "I also feared something like this would happen, for I have sensed it since the coming of the Bahrag.
They woke Tahu and Turaga Matau told him all that had happened.
"I thank you for the news Turaga- though it is ill to me. But when that thing comes I will have my wrath!" said Tahu.

Soon after they heard a chilling sound from the tunnel. The mysterious creature had arrived!
"That is a Rahkshi! Lerahk to be specific. It is one of Makuta's sons. No wonder Lewa didn't stand a chance! Lerahk can poison whatever he touches, that is the power of his staff!" said Vakama.
"This is the creature that defeated Lewa, well let's see how he fares against my power!" cried Tahu.

With that Tahu went in combat against Lerahk. Lerahk attacked Tahu but Tahu raised his shield and Lerahk bounced right off landing awkwardly but he got right back up. Lerahk went toTahu and Tahu took Lerahk and threw him toward the entrance of the village. Tahu motioned for the matoran to flee into the tunnels and escape incase something happened to him. Lerahk pounded his staff to the ground and sent poison towards the mountain on both sides of the valley. An avalanche came tumbling down suddenly and crashed on to the ground blocking the entrance to the tunnels. Tahu jumped out of the way just in time. Tahu scrambled to the Lava pit and surfed towards the falls with Lerahk running toward him. When he reached the falls he jumped down but to his dismay Lerahk came flying toward him. Tahu switched to the Miru Lewa gave him and slowed his fall to the lava river. Lerahk flew to Tahu and Tahu surprised Lerahk by putting his lavaboard through Lerahk's legs and broke up his flight mode. But He brought Tahu with him and Lerahk ended up in the lava and Tahu ended up on the ground with no mask or armour on with an avalanche tumbling on him. Lerahk reappeared unharmed and started on the track of the matoran.

What happened to Tahu? Is he gone? Will the matoran survive? Find out in the next chapter!

Lerahk Part 3: Onu Koro Crushed!

Onua welcomed all the matoran to Onu-Koro as they told him all that had happened. But Lerahk arrived!
Onua found a way to bury Lerahk while the matoran cleared into the tunnel.

Does this Toa seriously think Lerahk can be defeated just like that? My son is driven by something which the Toa cannot see. So far three villages have fallen from the might of my son. The others will soon follow the same fate. Now my son, finish the Toa of Earth!

Everyone ran for the region of Po-Wahi. Lerahk flew towards him with Onua breaking his flight. But the poison-monster started to poison the ground and everyone ran faster in fear of the poison reaching them. They went through the doorway but when Onua went out he fell down the cliff and landed with no armour on him.

Like I said, nothing can defeat my son! He could be defeated if he had a heart but he would be too vulnerable if he had one. Without a heart he does not know pain, fear, love, nor anything in which a heart can be weakened. Now my son, find the matoran and destroy them!
The matoran now must face the dreaded cold of Po-Wahi. Ihu is never nice to anyone on it. The matoran surely will not survive. For they will travel for days and not get any closer to their icy destination. Instead they will go to their icy destruction! But there seem to be more forces than what I know, for I fear that the matoran are being watched not by my son, but by one who opposes my will. I fear one matoran in Ko-Koro...Matoro...for he was sent to guide Lewa when the first Toa was sent to oppose me. He has also led in all the main matoran wars. I fear him more because he knows my weakness...

Lerahk Part 4: Resistance

The Matoran were struggling to survive in the bleak blizzard of Ihu. However Lerahk soon showed up to carry out his father's will and finish the matoran.
"Oh just finsh us already, we're gonna die anyway," a Matoran cried.
But just then the storm got more worse than it already was. As he hissed loudly, Lerahk saw something in the distance. A shadowy figure was there and he stood still, cold and difficult to see.
"So Rahkshi you are trying to destroy little matoran are you? Well let's see you take me on!"
With that Kopaka, Great one of Ice appeared and fought the Rahkshi but Lerahk would not fall easily to the might of the lone Toa. Lerahk aimed his staff at the ice Toa but was blinded by the storm that the Toa controlled. Kopaka disappeared and Lerahk could not see where he was. The storm suddenly stopped and Kopaka touched Lerahk and froze him.
"That will not hold him for long," Kopaka said, "Let us go to Ko-Koro. I was sent to find you."

So it has begun...the resistance of the matoran to my will...but I have more sons than just Lerahk. He has already poisoned the Toa's unity. Soon the end will come to all their hope.

In Ko-Koro there was a discussion about what was to be done.
"We could send Kopaka to find the other Toa but Lerahk is still out there," Matoro said.
Vakama replied, "Since we know that he is coming we could still send Kopaka to find the Toa. We are strong when we are united so we could face Lerahk while Ko-"
Just then a horn sounded. Lerahk was coming to finish his father's command!

Everyone was outside ready to fight. Matoro went in front with disk at hand. Kopaka sent a storm for Lerahk to blind him. Matoro then threw his disk at Lerahk. The disk went right to his head and flung the Kraata out. No one could believe it! Matoro had defeated Lerahk!!! Kopaka went and got the Kraata and the body. The body was placed in a cell with the Kraata guarded by Matoro. Kopaka was sent to find the other Toa.

So...my son has been defeated, and by the Matoran I fear the most! Hmmm...I can still control the Kraata, and Kopaka has been sent to find the other Toa! I will see to him not finding Lewa and returning or... not finding Lewa at all! Lerahk will see to that...

The Kraata heard its father's call and started squigling vigourously and got out of Matoro's hands.
"Make sure the Kraata doesn't get into the cell where the body is!" cried Matoro.
But the Kraata had reached the cell and was trying to get in!

Kopaka was near the spot where Onua was last seen. The tunnel entrance had collapsed fromLerahk's Onu-Koro pursuit. He looked down and found Onua frozen. Kopaka picked him up and brought him to Ko-Koro. He got there just when the Matoran finally got a hold of the Kraata thanks to Nuju's Matatu. Kopaka went out again to look for the others.

But soon after again the Kraata got loose again it busted through the cell and to the Lerahk body. Lerahk awoke again and ran out to find something.
"Why didn't he attempt to destroy us?" a Matoran asked.
"The Kraata must have been given new orders by its father and now carrying it out," Matoro answered.
"Mata Nui protect us he's after Kopaka!" Vakama cried.

Deep in the jungle Kopaka was searching for Lewa when he heard a sound in the distance. Lerahk was coming for him!
"Ha! So you managed to escape Ko-Koro! Well you won't defeat me so easily!"
Will Kopaka survive? Will Onua recover? Will the other Toa be found? More in the next chapter!

Lerahk Part 5: Regroup

Onua woke beside a roaring fire.
"Where am I?" he asked, "The last thing I remember is being chased by something and slipping on ice."
"You are in a hut of healing, or my hut," answered Matoro,"And what you are remembering is exactly what happened. Your village is destroyed, along with others, two Toa are lost, one Toa is seeking them, and two Toa do not know this new peril that is among us. This is only a taste of Makuta's worst threat to us. In a way you could say, 'Our Unity has been poisoned,' especially with the Toa that remain lost, we can only hope that Kopaka can find Lewa and Tahu, the two lost Toa.

Lerahk swung his staff at Kopaka but Kopaka dodged it easily. Lerahk poisoned the ground but Kopaka froze it.
"Why do you desparatly try to stop me from finding Lewa?" Kopaka asked,"You didn't do that for Onua so why Lewa? Is it because the prophecies reveal the one Toa stopping Makuta once more? Or is it because you have done something to him?!!"
With that statement Kopaka got fierce and now thought that Lerahk poisoned Lewa! Lerahk wasn't about to go down as he was also getting bolder.

Hmmm...this is interesting...a Toa can finally stand up against Lerahk! Well that sets the pace for the entrance of my newborn son! Lerahk, send this Toa back to Ko-Koro then go off wandering around poisoning things and go unseen by a Turaga, Toa, or Matoran. Make sure this Toa does not have a chance to find Lewa, for he had a good guess at why I don't want Lewa found...

Lerahk heard his father and kicked Kopaka into the air, jumped, and kicked Kopaka hard and sent him flying toward Mount Ihu.

"I must go help Kopaka Matoro!"
"You must rest Onua, you are too tired and could not stand Lerahk if you tried, you must recover your strength, for you have none!"
"But I must do what I -"
"ONUA!!! You must rest! You mean nothing right now, besides, once your strength is recovered, you will be needed for Makuta's next threat to us, not only his sons, but his infected Matoran!"

Kopaka returned to Ko-Koro reporting his failure.

Hmmm...so Matoro knows of this threat that I am sending. But he will not survive that or my next son I'l garantee that...

The Matoran Wars

Kopaka looked forward into the bleak land before him.
"They are coming," he said to Onua,"Just as Matoro feared."
"Do not worry brother, as long as we are here, they will not defeat us."

The Host of Matoran sent by Makuta were infected in body, mask, and disk. They travelled at great speed no matter where they were, for before they were sent, Makuta trained them to run and infect Matoran with their own disks. If one disk touches 100 Matoran they all would be infected.
Now they were approaching the gates, but they carried Matoran Catapults with them as well as just the army. The leader entered one of the catapults and was hurled upwards. He quickly took his disk and threw it between the two Toa sending them flying toward a cliff.
"Did they think they would get us by doing that?" Onua asked.
"They were smart because now a huge avalanche is tumbling toward us and we can't get out!" replied Kopaka.
With that the two Toa were covered in ice.

Now the Infected Matoran started to enter over the gate by catapult. Matoro led his army but the enemy was too strong in numbers and infected most of the Matoran. It was then that Matoro hurled his disk at part of the gate and water started coming out of the gate. The water was an effective plan because now very few of the Matoran were infected. But now thousands of Infected Matoran captured and spared over the years by Makuta came pouring in. Now most of the Matoran were being infected again and matoro made his way to a small area. An Infected Matoran came ready to infect Matoro but Matoro hit his hand on a wall. Suddenly the ice beneath all Matoran broke up and they all sunk into freezing cold water. All the Matoran were disinfected but had no way to surface without freezing into ice cubes. The water slowly began to freeze and all the Matoran, losing oxygen, came swimming up towards the surface. In time the Matoran were all up and all the water had frozen. But the leader of the Infected Matoran was still infected and he threw his disk at Matoro, who had just dodged the disk. Then the leader was frozen by Kopaka.

It seemed that Kopaka had switched masks to his Hau, blocking all the ice that tumbled down.
"Well then Kopaka, it seems that you can think exteremely quickly, that is good, as you will need that against Makuta. Now you must find Lewa and Tahu before Makuta strikes again. He has already poisoned your Unity. You must make sure he doesn't do anything to your Duty or your Destiny!"

Guurahk

It has finally come to the entrance of my second son...Guurahk...a creature who can find the stress point of anyone or anything and use that calculation to destroy the enemy or greatly weaken them. Let us see Kopaka deal with this Rahkshi and survive...Go my son, get to Le-Koro before the Toa do and bring Lewa to me!

Kopaka and Onua walked through the dense jungle. Kopaka used his Akaku to find Lewa through the thick woods and vines. Suddenly they heard a hissing sound near them.
"Lerahk's coming," said Onua
"I don't think that's Lerahk. I think Makuta unleashed another one of his sons. I'm looking at him now and I see the difference. This one seems to be blue, Lerahk was green," Kopaka replied.

Just then Guurahk stepped out and struck his staff in the ground. The ground broke open and the Toa fell in. Guurahk then struck his staff in further and buried the Toa in the ground. Guurahk then went to Le-Koro and retrieved a poisoned Lewa before he went back to his father. But Onua saw him leave and went after Guurahk.

When Guurahk arrived at the Kini-Nui, he took Lewa in and gave him to Makuta. When he went back outside Onua found him and took him on. Guurahk struck his staff in the ground and a surge of power went right to Onua and buried him. He almost destroyed the Toa but Kopaka froze him. The two Toa realized that they failed and went on to Ta-Koro to find Tahu.

When they entered Ta-Koro the Toa did not know where to start looking for Tahu. Kopaka used his Akaku to find the hidden body of Tahu. He found it near the water falls but Guurahk came and disintegrated most of the Mountain. Kopaka and Onua would have been destroyed if it wasn't for Kopaka's Hau. But eventually Kopaka froze the Rahkshi. Then Onua dug up Tahu's body and they left quickly to Ko-Koro.

When Tahu woke up he learned everything that had happened while he regained much strength as well as his mask and armour.

So I have Lewa but Tahu escaped and Kopaka and Onua are still alive...This means I must recall Lerahk and Guurahk, and perhaps unite them with Panrahk...GO MY SONS, DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU SEE, EVEN THOSE PESKY MATORAN, TURAGA, AND TOA!!!

Lewa Returns!

The Toa soon set out to find Lewa. After a while they reached the Kini-Nui.
"Before we enter, we must plan how we are going to get Lewa since he is on Makuta's side," said Onua.
"Then this is the plan," replied Tahu, "We go down, I find Lewa while you two face Makuta."
Kopaka then said, "It will not be wise to do that! Makuta is extremely powerful!"
They debated for a little longer before reaching what they should do. They entered the Great Temple and got ready to take on Makuta.
"MAKUTA!!!" Tahu cried,"Give us Lewa!"
"So...you've finally come to save your friend Tahu of Fire. Do you seriously think I will give him to you that easily? Instead I am keeping him here for my use! Do yourselves a favour and leave now!!!" replied Makuta.
Lewa was then revealed in a chamber and Makuta brought him out and he was now facing the other Toa!
Kopaka quickly froze him but Makuta opened a pit beneath them. Kopaka and Onua Managed to escape but Tahu fell with Lewa! Tahu managed to find a cave not far below and quickly entered it. He unfroze Lewa and slowly, because of the water, the poison was removed. Lewa had been healed!
"Lewa, hear my voice, come back and help your brothers face Makuta!"
Lewa woke up but knew nothing. Tahu touched his hand and they became one: The Toa Nuva of Friendship!
He flew back up to help Onua and Kopaka. He sent them back out of the Kini-Nui and faced Makuta alone. He and Makuta then fell into the great pit and He could return but Makuta brought him down. He eventualy broke free and flew up to the surface spliting himself into Lewa and Tahu. The good news was Lewa was alive, but also the Rahkshi were still out there.
