Author’s note: Just like the previous Story!, this really happened. It is a work of non-fiction. To protect those involved, some things have been changed. For example, Makuta’s name was changed to Hakuna, so that you don’t know that whatever Hakuna does was really done by Makuta. Onu-Koro was changed to Onak, so that you don’t know that stuff that happened in Onak really took place in Onu-Koro. Lewa was made the Turaga of Le-Koro, and Tahu was eliminated from the storyline altogether. Etc. You get the idea…

Part I
A New Plot


Chapter 1
The Messenger

It was lonely on the beach. Only two matoran there.

It was boring on the beach. Not much to do.

Tarhu and Wakuta did their best to entertain themselves. They played Tic-Tac-Toe in the sand, held sandcastle building competitions, and did other sand-related activities. Not much else to do on a beach, so they got bored rather quickly. Sitting on a beach was quite dull, and they longed for another adventure like the one they had three months ago.

Be careful what you wished for. I once wished for a frog, and ended up getting a vertically challenged green prince instead…


“And then I stuck my hand in a waffle iron.”

“What?!” Why did you do that??”

“It was kinda a rite of passage,” Wakuta explained. “In my family, everyone is required to do some type of crazy act when they turn 13. My sister Cooda tried capturing a wild eel…with no gloves. My cousin Wooda decided to climb to the top of the island’s tallest mountain, Mt. Hill, with nothing but a granola bar and some twine. And my uncle Shooda rode a motorcycle and jumped over 42 busses and the edge of a cliff. Nobody has seen him since, though…”

Tarhu shook his head. It was dawn, and he was poking at the embers from last night’s campfire. “I am so glad that I didn’t know you back then.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Uh…” Trying to avoid the question, Tarhu pointed off into the distance. “Hey, look over there!”

“You’re just avoiding the question.”

“No, seriously, look!” Tarhu pointed again.

Wakuta looked where Tarhu was pointing, and to his surprise, he actually saw something. “It looks like someone riding on a horse.”

“Must be the Lone Ranger…”


Not exactly. Not even remotely close, in fact. It was the Random Matoran from the first Story, known for only saying ‘this is the life.’ Riding in on a horse, he made his way to the shore and dismounted.

“Thank goodness you’re here, Random Matoran,” said Wakuta. “I think…”

“Sorry I’m late, I got here as quickly as I could,” the Random Matoran said apologetically.

“What seems to be the problem? Tarhu asked. “Did Timmy fall down the well again?”

“No, it’s much worse…”


And with that, the Random Matoran began to sing…

“Things just aren’t right;
They’ve gone quite wrong.
The island’s not saved,
And I’m singing songs.

“Things sure have changed;
They weren’t good enough.
I’m probably deranged,
And I say much more stuff.

“The island is changing,
There’s no way to stop it.
Try as you may,
But you might as well drop it.

“Give up and give in,
‘Cause there’s no way to win.
This is a wild ride;
It’ll take you for a spin.

“This is the end,
The song’s almost done.
Will the island be saved,
Or has evil won?”


Tarhu and Wakuta stared for a moment. They weren’t going to be able to do this by themselves…

Yay! Story 2! I read the whole of Story before, and I hope this will be just as good!
The bit where Wakuta's family were doing crazy things was good, as were the "The beach was boring" bits. KUTGW!

It returns! Bring out the dancing clown-clones! *a small, vaguely monkey-like PA fearfully scampers up to VM and whispers something in his ear* What? How could they all be dead? They've only been stuffed in those closets for a few months! *the PA whispers some more* Oh. Well, why didn't they turn to cannibalism? *whisper, whisper* Oh. Guess cloning's not perfect yet. Back to the drawing board.

So... Why was Random Matoran singing? I mean, it was better than Hakuna's terrible attempts at the lyrical arts. A singing ex-lawyer... *shudder* I still get nightmares about that. Still, the end of the world in song form... strange. And what's with all these... ellipses?

More importantly, I have to wonder at the insane things others in Wakuta's family have done. Hmm... *drifts off into a land of inflatable shark tanks and bomb swallower training*

Aaaaaaaaaaa... aaaaaaanywho, good to see this one again!

Yay! Story 2! I read the whole of Story before, and I hope this will be just as good!

This Story! is a bit different from the previous one, but hopefully it should turn out to good too. I planned this one out a little bit more than its predecessor, which was more spontaneous, so there may actually be a plot this time (gasp!)

Dancing clowns? Eep! Stay back!

Why was the Random Matoran (who, I'll just say this now, is not the same Random Matoran from all of my other stories; In fact, we'll find out his name later...) singing? Well, I did some foreshadowing back in the first Story!, but I'll also explain it in more detail in a later chapter (Chapter 6, which is the fifth chapter).

As for the ellipses, I'm not really sure...

And as for Wakuta's family, well... (there I go with the ellipses too...) Let's just say that a moment in Hakuna's past involved a Yeti and a rather large amount of duct tape...



I'm hoping for a weekly release for new chapters, so you can expect to see Chapter 2 hit the forums next monday.
