Mata Nui's Past, In the time before time... Options

OK, it seems like a lot has happened on Mata Nui, and It has had a very interesting past, before the toa. Here's part of a Mata Nui's Past theory, feel welcome to enhance or add on.

A long time ago Mata Nui was a barren island, which the Tohunga (not matoran yet) lived. They were sort of like cavemen, very primitive. There were also the bohrok. They traveled in herds, of as the Tohungans called them, swarms. They would very rarely harm or kill a Tohunga, yet the Tohunga thought them vicous and feared them, much as we fear sharks.

Then the great spirit Mata Nui came. He felt pity for the Tohunga, and made the island a beautiful place. But there were still the bohrok. The Tohunga asked Mata Nui to destroy the Bohrok, but mata Nui was a peaceful spirit and did not approve of destruction, so instead he put the Bohrok in a neverending sleep. The Tohunga were so grateful, they named the island Mata Nui, after the spirit. Then Makuta came...

Thats all of my theory for now. Think about the Kanohi, Krana, Bahrag, Rahi, and infected Kanohi, and how they came into the story of Mata Nui's past.
