The Power of Sterling Silver has arrived. I have received a Sterling Silver Krana-Kal from an employee of The LEGO Company, and what follows is a complete photographic essay of the mother of all Krana-Kal.

the sterling silver is different because I think it is actually a type of silver but the white metal is made to look like sliver

Thanks for the Story, BR, It was good to tsee the side by side comparasion, i could really tell the difference there. Wow it's a beauty. Searching for these things is going to be the hard part.
Now for those that don't know Sterling Silver is the real deal, its the most common version of silver used. Its made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, for sake od durability. (Fine Silver, which is pure silver is very soft) while white metal is just a look- alike, cheaper , (but not heavier as Jordan Pointed out to me... QUOTE OF THIS POST I'm glad that Lego went with Sterling Silver, and not white gold.maybe I'll have a chance on Ebay... That's nice! by the time I have started to buy the kal,the silver might be in curculation. So I think that I have SOME chance, but every one has some chance.
I wonder if the silver krana has any other power that the metal doesn't have. -------------------- ![]() Well I had a perfectly nice sig, then I had the Brains to add a quote from Karzhani, and I lost me siggy. Congrats on your good fortune B-Rex.
That makes you the owner of a SSK and Bink the owner of a SGH (even if it's gone...it's still his). Boy...what a privleged site we have. Just so you know B-Rex, ignore that annoying drilling and hammering sound you may here some night coming soon. It's probably just the wind...and not a fleet of elite commandos trying to gain access to your SSK. *shiftyeyes* -------------------- |

And if you hear any screaming, or the sound of things lit on fire, it's just your silly imagenation, not my forces of Daedra versus Torhu's Elite Comandos. Umm.... Anyway, that's a cool article, now we know the diferences! Basicly the difference between a diomond, and cubic zirconium. They're simeler, but one's rarer, and a bit preetier. Other than that, the difference is small. -------------------- I AM THE VERY MODEL OF A SCIENTIST SALARIAN. |

Wasn't the power of the SSKK and the WMKK If any bohrok/bohrok-kal carries it it cannot be harmed by any outer force?

Haha, I like the way you compared the SSKK and the WMKK to the solid gold Hau and the plastic gold colored Hau!
SSKK and WMKK get real confusing around here. People take some shortcuts way too seriousely. But would you rather write Sterling Silver Krana Kal- or SSKK. It is just hard to keep track. I have a quick question. Do all these special krana come in Xa form, or do they come in other Krana shapes? -------------------- |

To answer a few questions:
1) Yes, I get to keep it. 2) You will be able to tell which Metal Krana you got by the card enclosed with the Krana. Also, the Sterling version has the word "sterling" impressioned in the Krana right above the code at the top rear of the mask. 3) Yes, all WM and SS Krana are of the Xa variety. I know it's hard to tell the difference between the two by looking at the pics, but in person the difference is obvious. It's like looking through a dirty windshild and then cleaning it. The dirty one is the WM while the Sterling is the clean version. It just looks more brilliant. |

Nice story. If 3 were sent out to large fan sites, where is #3? 1 is at BZP, 1 is at Mask of Destiny, so where's #3? And as nuts as this sounds, you might be lucky enough to get a SSKK from LEGO if you called. There are 15 lurking around the LEGO offices.
Edit: Bionicle Rex, you're Misprint stand is SO COOL!!!!!!!!! Can you PM me the instructions? This post has been edited by Biomaniac: Apr 19 2003, 08:23 PM -------------------- |

The third one is with Altered States Magazine. They have yet to review it, but a gentlemen I know who works with them says they got one. You can't just call TLC and ask for it. They came from the Marketing department offices, not S@H. It's just like you can't call TLC for a presspack. Thanks for the stand comment. Unfortunately I don't have any instructions for it -- I just threw it together the other day. |

That's pretty lucky. I read Purple Dave's review of his before I came on holidays. Apparently it's a whole lot heavier than your average Krana-Kal (obviously understandable

Yo C0uld SLightly Mistaken It..(duh !) Was Gonna Sya Nuhvok-Kal`s Krana But Then You Will Feel How Cold It WOuld Be. Anyhow, Do You Think their SHould Be A comp For A Slighty Larger Gold Krana ?
