![]() Welcome to the BZPower Lexicon of Terms, where you'll find definitions and descriptions of most BZPower terms. Renovations are being made to the Lexicon, so please forgive it's rough appearence. Note that it may take a me a while to update the Lexicon, as I maintain this by myself and I have a lot of other things to do. Q: Why are some terms in bold and some in standard font? A: Attribute this to my own laziness. I have been slacking with this but it's going to get better. Eventually I want all the terms to be in bold, and it should be okay soon. Q: How do I contribute a term or modify an existing one? A: Before contributing, check that your term isn't already in the Lexicon. If it isn't, then feel free to post it in the topic. If possible, give a description as well, as this will make it easier for me to update the Lexicon. If you feel a term's definition is out of date, you can also post a new one in the topic. Do not PM me with terms and updates. Q: What can I contribute? A: As I said above, check that it isn't already in the Lexicon. There are a few rules as to what can be added. Firstly, NO member names, unless it's an Administrator or Assistant Admin, or a member that's special in some way. This Lexicon isn't big enough for every Forum Leader, Forum Assistant, etc. Secondly, all terms must be BZP-related. NO BIONICLE-related terms unless they happen to be BZP terms as well (such as Vahi and Avohkii). BZP abbreviations for BIONICLE things (such as Morby and RahkShoe) are permitted, but don't make up terms for the sake of it. Thirdly, submitting Ranks is fine, but not the number of posts required to get a Rank, since BZP likes to keep this a surprise. And lastly, the rules of BZP apply here, in that no other forums or sites with forums should be submitted. Q: What can I post in the topic? A: The topic is for the discussion of the BZPLOT, and it also serves as a place where members can submit new terms. Feel free to use the topic to discuss what you think of the BZPLOT, and how it can be improved. For contributing terms and updates to already existing terms, see the above two questions. However, the rules of BZPower still apply here - no spamming, flaming, or mentioning sites with forums. Breaking the rules will not be tolerated here any more than any other topic, so be careful. UPDATES 8th September 2005 A nice new logo has been added, and links to BZP News and BS01 are being added. Actually, is BS01 even in the Lexicon? Let me go and check... May I make some corections:
1.It should be Administrator.
1.Avatar not Avaters 2.It goes in your post not sig.
Flaming is mild abusive behavure like "Your moc stinks" or "I hate you"
1.Forum not Forums 2.A forum is a place were members create topics acording to the title.
1.Moderator not Modarators.
1.Topic not Topics. 2.BZPower is a measage board, A topic is a subget whitch members disscus about. All in all a good topic but it needs brushing up. -------------------- Lost and forgoten....

This is a good thread. A MOD should Pin it, and also add some more terms, and refine some of the existing ones.
Maybe you should also write, (to identify them easier) that MODs have a color changing Hau, and Support Team members have a Color changing Huna (I think)??!?!? Great Topic -------------------- 1st BZer to have (11) vahi AND the KAL!!!

If this doesnt show that members dont read the ref desk than I dont know what does. There already is a topic about this in the Ref Desk yet not as extensive and you missed COT Prohibited Members added by Bionicle on September 12th 2002 because of anti American posts. See pinned COT topic for more detail. And Your definition of flaming is the definition of spam.
And King Luvak all those "Un-Pluraling" of words was really unnecessary. |

Well actually, those number can vary in range. For example, I became tohunga at 27 posts. This is really good. Maybe we could add on to the lexicon and you could edit your post and put those things in. -------------------- Where wisdom and valor fail, all that remains is faith, and that can overcome all. - Tahu

"btw" = "By The Way"
----------------- I have a term to add. "DTotA" otherwise known as the "Dark Toa of the Apocalypse" -The DTotA were one of the earliest projects of the BZ community. Members worked together to name, design, and give powers to a group of evil Toa based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.- --------------- The DTotA actually ran from I believe early July 2001 to sometime around Septemeber when Rahi Master was able to build a few concept models of them. They had names and stuff...but that probably belongs in another topic. -------------------- |

I think you should check out this topic. It will tell you all you need to know about Proto Energy(PE.) And Taiki, are you sure you became a Tohunga at 27 posts? Did you look at your rank for 20-26 posts? Have we got IMO=In My Opinion? EDIT-No, we haven't. Also, it's MOC, not MoC. This one isn't very popular (cause i made it up), but to encourage a helpful and friendly mood:
HTH, HtH or hth: Hope that helps, something you put after giving help/advice/anything else to someone. And Apollo25888: ATC is in the first post, it wasn't left out! -------------------- |

You forgot a common one, n00b, newby.
Newby- A new member that doesnt quite know the rules, maybe he knows the rules but he is new to the board. Oh and BTW:

Actually, don't you become a Turaga when you have 40 posts? Anyways, heres some: LoL: Short term for "laugh-out-loud". Peeps or PPL: Short term for "people". P-Zap: When your proto-level gets lowered. Big-D: Dimmesioner. (The site creator.) BBC: Bzpower's official Moc building contest. Moc: Short term for "My-Own-Creation". -KM- -------------------- |

Couple of notes there... 1) P-Zap is by no means the term...most commonly it's "Proto Drain" 2) Big-D is actually most commonly just "D" 3) BBC is "Bionicle Based Creations"...referring to the forum. The Contest is just called by whatever title it's given. -------------------- |

Oh man! Not everyone will know what you mean by D when they show up for their first time. now someone new could use this lexicon to find out.
T-Hybrid, i haven't heard proto drain before apart from the ref desk it's usually a proto zap from what i've seen. |

I don't think so. I din't knew lots of these. And I am not sure if you alredy kne what BZPowercast means before you came here. And I must repeat what other member said : In all of your posts you say ,,agree with me'' . Why? Why agree with you? You are nex to here. We don't even know much about you. So don't tell us what we have to do. Sorry if this is some sort of flaming or anything, I just had to say this. Sorry for this Off-Topic. On-Topic : Your lexicon is great! Now I know where to look when I don't understand anything. Keep on good work and find some more words -------------------- Thanks, Swert109 Nui for animating that avatar of mine! And I also thank you, -X-, for making the original Matoran!

Correction, this site was not made exclusively by Dimensioneer. It was made by Bink, D, and myself. Actually, Bink did the most work. He's the one who does most of the programming on BZP. I noticed a number of errors in the first post which I have fixed. |

I never actually explained this one. "TRT" is short for "The Real Torhu" essentially it is the guy who will take care of buisness with a problem member. The side of Torhu you don't want to see. -------------------- |

'Mod' meaning Mask of Destiny should be Mod or Mod to avoid confusion, but some people use Mod for Moderator[s].
If you change that it would be ideal for newbies as a lexicon. -------------------- And don't forget to visit: Lewagirl78's Author Zone! Lee Trynace's Stories!

Ahem.
I saw "newbies" at the Lexicon and thought I'd clear something up for all members who use the term incorrectly. Newbie: one who is new to a certain place, group, or profession Most of the time 'newbie' does mean that one is inexperienced at a certain thing, but not always. A newbie can know more than a veteran by learning much more OUTSIDE the profession, group, or place. n00b: a degrading term similar to 'newbie' This is where the confusion begins. Many people think that 'n00b' and 'newbie' are the same. They're not. Newbie just means you're new. n00b means you're new and anthropomorphic. You immediately think you know everything and parade yourself around like you own the place. You're too big for your own britches. It just means that you're all talk... that's basically what a n00b is. All talk. Put this up there if you want... -LV -------------------- Our shackles may have already been broken, but we have yet to stand up and walk.

One addition:
When you are making a reference to another member with more than one word in his/her name, people will often abbreviate it. So, The Best Toa Nuva 33 or Kuma-Nui island (fictional usernames, I hope) would be called TBTN33, or K-Ni. I (Huki the Brown) would be HtB. -------------------- |
